Above claim by governor Ayade is a face-saving statement in the face of his own failure, and I am glad it is backfiring. Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State is more secured and managed than Calabar—Governor Ayade should admit it.


Why did Governor Ayade become so outrage after been informed by WAEC officials that its office is moving to a location it finds to be safer, Uyo?


The truth is moving WAEC office from Calabar to Uyo really called into question governor Ayade’s leadership skills. I think that is why he begged WAEC officials not to move to save him from optimum embarrassment.


So, I want governor Ayade to share the true reason for his outrage against moving WAEC office to Uyo. The people of Cross Rivers State and Akwa Ibom State are brothers. And I want them to remain so for life.

Calabar was the first capital of Nigeria before Nigeria moved its capital to Lagos, jet, development in Cross Rivers state is substandard.

Why did Nigeria succeed in moving its capital from Calabar to Lagos? The reason is internal divisions among its citizens as demonstrated here by the people of Cross Rivers State.

The phrase “to be stronger abroad, you have to first be strong at home” is blowing up in the face of Governor Ayade. Gov. Ayade is too divisive. He never makes attempt to work with the government of Akwa Ibom State to solve key problems such as building Calabar -Uyo road to connect both states. That is why trade and tourism volumes between the two states are in decline. And that is why accidents are killing so many travelers between Calabar and Uyo

I hope this will serve as a lesson for Governor Ayade and the people of Cross Rivers State to change.

Second, when Ngozi Iweala was a finance minister in Nigeria, we saw the highest increase in the number of people stealing government funds—this behavior made it impossible for the Nigerian government to have enough money to fund essential services like roads, bridges, hospitals, schools and much more.

Third, when Ngozi Iweala was a finance minister, ghost workers in government payrolls were in millions. She signed checks to people not employed.

Tell me something, if Ngozi Iweala as a finance minister, signed checks to ghost workers and not knowing about them, how does that qualify her to chair WTO?

These are the kinds of practices she wants to take to WTO office.
That is why I am raising this alarm now.

I write to urge President Buhari to stop pressuring WTO influential members to vote to elect Ngozi Iweala as its Chairperson.

The history of Mrs. Iweala career in Nigerian government and the ways she handled various tasks is appalling. She was finance minister for former president of Nigeria Mr. Obasanjo from 2003 to 2006 and president Goodluck Jonathan from 2011 to 2015. In each of those instances, she failed woefully for many reasons.

First, Nigeria crumbling infrastructures proved it. As a finance minister, she could not push OBJ into believing that building roads and highways in Nigeria is important economic policy. Building roads and highways helps to lift up the lives of people from poor economic ladder. Roads and highways increase tourism and trade volumes to countries. All those translate into good paying jobs for locals and revenue for states in the form of taxes.

Mrs. Iweala failure to advise Obasanjo to invest in roads and highways in Nigeria is totally responsible for skyrocketed unemployment among all age groups in Nigeria.

How many low income and affordable houses does the federal government of Nigeria own in Nigeria? The answer is none.

Investment in infrastructure programs such as renovating abandon housing units and building new ones, repairing roads, bridges are at the heart of good finance minister’s job. These kinds of infrastructures engagement create jobs for locals and stabilize families.

Did Ngozi Iweala recommend this to Nigerian government while serving as a finance minister? Again, the answer is no.

Today, Nigeria is experiencing record of nationwide vandalism in Nigeria by young people who cannot find work. This is a result of bad economic policies Ngozi Iweala brought to Nigeria while in office.



Second, selecting Mrs. Iweala as WTO chairperson will destroy Nigeria hope to become exporting country. As a finance minister under OBJ and Goodluck Jonathan, she awarded most import licenses to people in Southeast geopolitical zone---and that destroyed jobs creation and drove wage down in the Southeast.

The influx of imported goods into Nigeria and Southeast geopolitical destroyed local ideas and created unemployment never seen before.

If you ever wonder why people in Southeast geopolitical have deserted their states in favor of places like Lagos and Abuja, it is the wrong finance policy Mrs. Ngozi Iweala brought to Nigeria. It makes Southeast people to abandon local ideas in favor of foreign imports. That kills jobs creations in southeast and forces ibos to seek alternative in other locations to earn a living.

Nigeria does not need a person who will encourage Nigerians to import goods from abroad because it destroys local ideas, drives wage down, hurts jobs creation.

Third, when Ngozi Iweala was a finance minister in Nigeria, Nigeria witnessed the highest increase of Ghost workers business in all government payrolls---resulting in the loss of billions of dollars by the government, yearly. And under Mrs. Iweala, looting of government money was widespread across all government sectors.



Is this who President Buhari want the world to trust in advancing trade policy?

You know I missed years when Victor Attah was the governor of Akwa Ibom State from 1999-2007. Back then, no criminal would have vandalized any part of Akwa Ibom State and not pay dearly for it.

He was that tough in my view.

Today, we have Udom Emmanuel—the state governor, and who in my view lacks leadership skills Akwa Ibom State needs to be respected, running Akwa Ibom state to the ground.

We have the state lawmaker—admitted that those who vandalized the state are not citizens of Akwa Ibom State.

He (the lawmaker) thanks the police in the state for moving fast to stop the looters.
The question I want to ask is: did the police arrest these looters?

I want them paraded on the street of Uyo and set on fire. After that, I want their ashes taken to their states of origin for good. No more, no less.

The ongoing looting and destruction of Akwa Ibom State by these hooligans were premeditated. Furthermore, it is borne out of jealousy—aimed at destroying Akwa Ibom State.

Former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr. Victor Attah predicted years ago that people would be jealous of the state when all the developments he started are completed. The truth to that prediction is now confirmed.


In a million years, I never thought Akwa Ibom state would be vandalized.

Finally, I want the state governor to go on television and ask all the looters to turn themselves in or face serious consequences. And if they fail, the state police should round them up for jail. No negotion, please.

President Muhammadu Buhari has asked his ministers to relocate to their home states for the purpose of dousing the tension created by the #ENDSARS protests and the lawlessness that followed.

Good first step by President Buhari to calm down increasing violence protest. But it is not enough. I think what the government should do next will decide whether violence protest goes away or not.

In my view, I think President Buhari should announce many concrete programs to help the youths to believe the government has finally listen to them.

One such program is earn-while-you-learn program. The reason I propose this program is Nigerian education is full of theory. That means when students graduate from schools, they lack skills to perform practical projects.

I have received messages from Nigeria which suggest jobs are available in Nigeria, but Nigerians don’t have required skills to fill those jobs. That means foreigners are filling up these jobs. Very sad to learn about this.

Meanwhile, earn-while-you-learn programs allows youths opportunities to acquire real jobs skills—which employers can recognize for employment.

The unrest that is going on in Nigeria is officially blamed on police brutality, but I think lack of employment opportunities for the youths is the real cause of the violence. Report of high unemployment rates among all age groups is worrisome. If this high unemployment figure keeps rising it will destabilize the government.

Furthermore, the government can end this violence protest by investing in infrastructure programs such as renovating abandon housing units, repairing roads, bridges, and building affordable houses for all the citizens. These kinds of infrastructures engagement create jobs for locals and stabilize families.

In addition, I will like Nigerian government to immediately raise minimum wage. Wages are very low in Nigeria. The federal government should raise minimum wage and pass fairness paycheck law. The fairness paycheck law will make sure men and women get equal pay and people get paid based on their skills. In addition, it will protect against discrimination or tribalism.

Another program I like to see in Nigeria is welfare checks for citizens who are unable to find work. Under welfare program, people unable to find work, should get some checks every week or month from government until they can find work.

These are the concrete policy programs the government can engage Nigerians in right now if peace is to be achieved.

Why do protesters think destruction of properties is problem solving?

So, I write to say that when women talk, I listen to them than when men talk for a number of reasons. First, women think first before they open their mouth, whereas, men talk first, then think last. And second, women are less likely to start trouble than men.

This explains why EmmyN’s claim of Buhari fault for the current destruction of properties by the prostesters is foolish.

Finally, governor Ayade display of soft attitude towards protesters is dangerous. It is dangerous because the protesters will think they are right and will encourage them to do more destruction.

Giving the composition of these protesters, I think this action by the governor makes perfect sense.

These protesters are mainly from Southeast and that means trouble. They started 1967-70 senseless civil war in Nigeria—which led to the loss of over 1 million people. Everything is about them. The 1967 civil war happened because Ibos wanted to lead or no Nigeria.

The good thing that came out of that war, Ibos lost woefully.


Over the past few years, Ibos have begun to lay some claims to producing the presidency of Nigeria in 2023 or Nigeria will be burnt down. That tells me, the ongoing protests in Nigeria is Ibos strategy to divide Nigeria—which will lead to second civil war in Nigeria.


So, my advice to governor Ayade is set up a panel to investigate and identify those bringing protests to Cross Rivers State. This will guide the governor on putting right policy in place to immediately end these violent protests.

Don’t welcome these protesters as a strategy to end the violence. Knowing the selfishness of those producing the protests, destroying Cross Rivers State is their goal

What is the role of government in a civil society?
I will argue safety and protection of citizens, and especially those of the vulnerable population. Underage children, both boys and girls are classified as the vulnerable.

That is because they are always fall into the risks of abuse or been preyed on by the adults.

But unfortunately, and as we learn in The Nation article “ BIZARRE! Cross River community where unborn baby girls are betrothed to aged men” it is very clear these vulnerable population group in Becheve community in Cross Rivers State of Nigeria is not getting the help they deserved.

I blame the incompetent government of Cross Rivers state. The governor and the state legislators know what is going on in Becheve community and fail to act.

According to this article, a law called “child rights act” has existed in Cross Rivers State since 2009.

So, I write to call on the government of Cross Rivers state to investigate this claim from The Nation Newspaper that young girls are current been abused and preyed on by adults and bring an end to these atrocities committed against our young children as soon as possible.

Ibeno Island looks attractive, but the person introducing Ibeno Island to viewers did not do a good job telling viewers why people should come to Ibeno Island. For example, if I wanted people to come to a particular place, I will list things like:
 Hotels
 Restaurants
 Food stores
 Bars
 Recreational centers for kids (this will include swimming pools, football fields, basketball court, tennis courts, etc.)
 Lovable residential towns and homes

As a viewer, the answer to this question is what I want to learn first. That helps me or other viewers to plan for trips.

President Buhari 2021 budget offers another proof of unwillingness of Nigerian government to abandon social economic policy which has failed Nigeria since it became Independence in 1960. A close summary and analysis of this budget show the following:

• Data from this budget shows Nigeria still relies 100% on oil revenue to pay for the programs. In his amended budget plan, President Buhari said daily oil production was projected to be 1.88 million barrel per day and that current trend shows oil production per day will instead be 1.80 at $40.7 per barrel.
• Revenue from other sectors of the economy was never mentioned—indicating that Nigeria relies 100% on oil export.
• 36 states make up the country of Nigeria. This budget plan never mentioned proposal to build 36 highways to connect all states together. This is another proof of what Nigeria has been doing for the past 60 years—resulting in skyrocketed unemployment figures all over Nigeria and crumbling infrastructures at all levels of government.
• Buhari government continues to increase budget for light rail projects in certain areas of the country---Abuja, Kaduna, Lagos, Ibadan which have contributed nothing to national treasury and abandon those states Nigeria relies on to get money to spend. Action like this is what led to the creation of Boko Haram and factions around the country—making Nigeria ungovernable.
• Buhari government keeps purring money into agriculture of economy and it never results in real reduction of imported food items.
• Defense budget is N840.56 billion compared to N70.05 for Universal basic education. What a shame.

What the highlights of President Buhari budget plan shows is continuous investments in areas that have shown to be detriment for future economic growth and job creation. For Nigerians, this budget proposal is bad news for you and your family.

European countries have no oil, yet, their economies generate more revenues and create high paying jobs for their citizens.

And why is this?

That is because these countries have done away with social economic policies—which create poverty and low wages.

Nigeria needs to move to capitalistic system of economy right way. We need to announce policy that will end street vendors and hawkers and replace them by building shopping centers. This will allow all the governments in Nigeria (federal, states, and local governments) to implement new tax policy.

The purpose of building shopping centers is to enable government to identify business owners and collect tax revenues. With street vendors and hawkers, governments lose billions of dollars in tax revenues.

That is why European countries, Asia, and western countries are so successful and Nigeria is not.

Bad sign for Ngozi Iweala

To be elected to a prestigious position like Chairman of WTO, a candidate for this job needs two things (1) name recognition and (2) perceived status. Having served as one of the world Bank managing Directors and Nigeria foreign minister in the past, Ngozi Iweala of Nigeria meets these important criteria to be elected Chairman of world trade organization (WTO).

But she is not going to get that job because she comes from a country that has no trade or economic success story to share with the rest world of the world.

So, I think when members of WHO get into the voting booth, Yoo Myung of South Korea will receive more votes necessary to win the chairmanship job.

Yoo Myung has worked in the ministry of trade in her country since 1992—that means she is a trade expert. she started working for WHO since 1995—a proven years of experience in the field WHO job is required. She is not a black person. Black countries don’t export anything to speak of. And most importantly, she is from South Korea—a strong ally of the United States, European Union, Asia and pacific western nations.

And don’t forget, South Korea successful trade policy is envy of the world

All these are indicators of a bad sign for Ngozi Iweala chances to get WHO job.

I will not cry racism if Yoo Myung wins.

On December 24, 2015 BBC news website carried a story title “Nigeria Boko Haram: Militants technically defeated—Buhari.

President Buhari in this article went on to say “the militant group could no longer mount attacks against security forces or the population”

Is this claim by President Buhari true?
The answer is no.

According to an article posted in Nairaland forum by workthetalk on September 30, 2020, Borno State Governor Babaqana Zulum in an address to Nigerian Governor Forum, contradicted President Buhari earlier claim that Boko Haram no longer posed security threat to Nigeria by asking Buhari government to ask the Chadian government to help in defeating the militant group.

Governor Zulum request for foreign help to defeat Boko Haram confirmed what a recent released study by middle East and & Africa found: “Boko Haram, Nigeria’s jihadist group, is regaining strength”.

In this study by Middle East & Africa, a Nigerian soldier was interviewed about the war against Boko haram and here is what he said: Nigerian soldier looks into the camera: “We don’t have adequate weapons,” he says. We can’t just be wasting our lives”

When President Buhari got elected in 2015, he promised to defeat Boko Haram. Today, five years into the office of the presidency, President Buhari is still talking tough without any success against the insurgence group.

That is why Borno State governor, Babaqana Zulum decision to public call for foreign help makes sense.

Boko Haram, according to BBC news and multi-media outlets around the world began its operation in 2009. And since then, over 50, 000 lives have been lost and 4 million people driven away from their homes.

The Nigerian military has been waging war against Boko Haram since 2009 and has not had any success.


That is why I am joining hands with Borno State Governor, Babaqana Zulum to call on President Buhari to request for foreign help in a war to defeat Boko Haram.

You cannot run a stable government until all Nigerians feel safe inside Nigeria. Boko Haram continuous attacks and killings of Nigerians make it difficult for investors to come to Nigeria to open and run business and that means loss of jobs opportunities for Nigerians.

If there is any time to act against Boko Haram, now is the time.

Abuse of power.
Use of government airplane to support presidential aide wedding is a clear evidence of abuse of power by President Buhari.

Who says Nigeria is a democratic state?
It is not.

In a true democratic state, President Buhari would have been impeached or reprimanded in official state record for abuse of Power and gross misconduct (see 1999 constitution of Nigeria section 143 (b).

The legislative branch of government which is in charge of overseeing this kind of gross misconduct by President Buhari—the senate and House of Representatives are not going to do anything because of fear President Buhari might put them in jail.

I am not calling this Nigerian system of government democracy because there is too much evidence to support military rule.

I am worried!

Soon after sources emerged from different news outlets that Nigeria and Niger Republic have struck an agreement to build rail train between the two countries, the presidency has debunked the claim it was building rail train into Niger republic.

In an article from withinNigeria.com by Adejayan Gbenga on September 24 title “Nigeria not constructing rail line to Niger Republic, “the Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity), Garba Shehu, said the agreement was reached between Nigeria and Niger in 2015 for the Kano-Katsina-Maradi Corridor Master Plan (K2M).

Why has the presidency rushed to debunk this story?

I think I know why.
And here is that reason:

Don’t get me wrong, the economic objectives outlined in the proposed plan will be very beneficial to both countries, but the risks are frightened when Nigerian people get know them.

Northern Nigeria is the hot bed for the Islamic group---Boko Haram, a group bent on destroying Nigeria at all cost.

Boko Haram militant activities—which has led to the killing of thousands of Nigerians have not been defeated. In fact, BBC news report said over 30, 000 people have been killed over the past ten years and estimated 3 million people driven away from their homes, since the start of operation in 2009

This trail line when is finished, will open a new corridor to Boko Haram and other terrorist organizations to expand their territories. That means more deaths to Nigerians and destruction of property

And this train line when completed is going to connect Niger Republic to Northern states of Nigeria.

The federal government of Nigeria, perhaps just revisited this issue today and rushed out to calm down public concern.

Believe me, I am nervous!

You are right and I am with you. But you are engaging in a different argument. The government did not fire them to prevent them form earning their benefits or take away the ability of these employees to sustain their lives.

The government is firing these employees because they got the jobs through illegal means.

So, if the government has evidence to back up its claim, the government action will not be override in court or arbitration panel

Mid 2019, Governor Ben Ayade had directed the delisting of about 2,500 names from the payroll of the Cross River State government, claiming that most of those employed between 2014 till then did not follow due process.

I sympathized with the woman who collapsed due to stress over loss of her job, but the government is right to get rid of people not duly employed.

Nigerians often complain about government inability to fight corruption, yet, when the government put in place some measures to fight corruption, people kick against it.

What do the people of Cross River State want?

Corrupt government or none corrupt government?

I choose none corrupt government here. That is what I am sensing about delisting employees from state payroll by the state government.

So, that woman who collapsed should be called back and her credential examined for rehiring. Job is hard to find now a days, and especially in Nigeria.

In the meantime, I give thumbs up for the government of Cross River state. I think it is fighting the right fight.

I am in support of Ghanaian government effort to shut down businesses owned by Nigerians and have Nigerians leave Ghana.

In 1983 when Ghanaian government was unable to provide for Ghanaians and Nigerian government did, Nigerian government ordered Ghanaians who were experiencing hardship to leave Nigeria.

And here is how that order of Ghanaians to leave Nigeria by President Shagari went down:

On January 17, 1983 president Shagari of Nigeria announcement said this in part “declare the expulsion of an estimated two million undocumented migrants living in the country. Half of them were Ghanaian. “If they don’t leave, they should be arrested and tried and sent back to their homes. Illegal immigrants, under normal circumstances, should not be given any notice whatsoever,” President Shagari said.

The significant of this refusal by Nigerians to leave in Ghana is an attempt to black mail Ghanaian government. It is not going to work because all Nigerians know how we mistreated Ghanaians in the past.

So, I write to ask and beg the Nigerian authorities at home and in Ghana to push for Nigerians to return to Nigeria.

What Nigeria did to Ghanaians when they were going through hard times in the 1983 and beyond was inhumane. I cannot see how Nigerians can swallow evil acts meted to Ghanaian people in Nigeria and think it is okay for Ghana to forget it.

I am a Nigerian and totally ashamed of Nigerian government conduct in using force to evict poor Ghanaians.


No condition is permanent. If you are doing well today in your life, tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Besides, if these Nigerians in Ghana think they are good and better than the Ghanaians, why is Ghana the better place to prove their skills?

Don’t get it.

Nigerians, who are critical of Ghanaians mistreatment of Nigerians in Ghana are ignorance of similar bad treatment Nigerian government did to Ghanaians back in 1983.

In an article title “Ghana Must Go: The ugly history of Africa’s most famous Bag” , mail&Guardian news article described the ugly day a Nigerian president-- Shagari announced the expulsion of over two million undocumented west Africans foreigners, half of them Ghanaians from Nigeria.

And here is a little information about what Nigerian government did in 1983:

Without a doubt, this was a harsh action meted on the people of Ghana when they were going through hard times.

Now, what I do not understand is why Nigerian government and Nigerians are viewing Ghanaians counter response as bad and inhuman.

No condition is permanent. Nigerian government should have thought about its irresponsible behavior against foreigners in 1983.

In South Africa and many other foreign countries, Nigerians are getting killed every day because they remember how Nigerian government mistreated foreigners in 1983 when things were going well in Nigeria.

So, I write to ask the Nigerian government to ask all Nigerians living in South Africa and Ghana to return home as soon as possible. we need to stop portraying others as bad when they act in response to past Nigerian government harsh policy against their people.

Your above criticism of me over my opposition to governor Obaseki--supports the law of political gravity. Do you know what the law of political gravity means?
Well, I tell you now.

The law of political gravity states that “when someone supports something, it triggers opposition”. For an example, you support governor Obaseki reelection, and I opposed it. The difference between my and your positions speaks to the law of pollical gravity.
That is why we have debate.

My brother, everybody cannot support the same thing.

And one more thing:
Governor Obaseki does not provide a good leadership. Untarred road, whether in public place or private property reflects poorly on the person in charge of Edo State. When the state governor performs well, it should improve the living conditions of private citizens in Edo state. And I have not seen it.

Again, the picture of a chief compound in Edo State looks terrible. Look at those dignitaries, they wear bedroom shoes to a major gathering. Those nasty shoes document evidence of poverty. And it offered another proof governor Obaseki leadership has not improved the living conditions of Edo citizens.

Why did the people of Edo State reelect governor Obaseki? Thank God I am not from Edo state because I see nothing that earned him reelection. I want to talk about a few things that makes reelection of governor Obaseki so insulting.

Look at the picture below—which captured dignitaries on the chairs. I numbered three things in this photograph which brought tears to my eyes.

first is label #1—a floor that appeared like speed bumps and hill. Label #2 shows a photographer with his two knees on a deep hole –long enough to swallow his two knees. And label #3 is 2nd photographer in white outfit. Look at his feet and the shoes he wears. They look nasty and I am almost throwing up.

Governor Obaseki has been in the office for four years, yet, the floor in Edo state looked so nasty. The floor looks like old stone age era—where primitive people used to live.
Does governor Obaseki maintain roads?

Does governor Obaseki build a decent place for people to gather?

Under governor Obaseki, what has changed in Edo State that is not reflected in this picture.

What has governor Obaseki achieved that this picture failed to capture?

No way I could have voted for governor Obaseki. Picture of a floor in Edo State below does not speak of a performing governor, it speaks of a failed leadership.

What impact APC or PDP victory in Edo state governorship election will have on the people of Edo State?

That is what the debate should be about.

Uniting Nigerians is unattainable. And let’s not blame divided country like Nigeria on Jonathan or Buhari.

The following two events laid out why unity in Nigeria will not be attainable:

1. You have one part of the country, North, Muslims supporting Sharia law, and another part, the South, Christian opposing it.

2. In 2003 when polio virus began spreading, Northern Nigerians opposed polio vaccine and the south welcome it. The opposition of vaccine by the Northern Nigerians allowed polio to spread throughout Nigeria.

There are thousands of events like above which have taken place since Nigeria gained independence from Great Britain in 1960 and Nigerians don’t mention them as the cause of division in Nigeria.

Let stop deceiving ourselves. The real losers are all Nigerians.

My personal solution:

The truth is dividing Nigeria into 12 nations---under geographical divisions created by General Gowan after 1967-1970 civil war is the only way a long lasting peace can be attained among Nigerians.

Nigerian government officials know this but they would not say it because they fear of losing oil money from oil producing states.

How did this construction company get contract to build a housing unit?

And does this contractor has history of building homes?
