Rotation of any kind [tribe or region or geopolitical zone] is undemocratic.

That is because rotation ignores individual choices. Rotation breeds authoritarian rule. Rotation ignores individual opinions.

And why is it that only people in the South-east geopolitical zone the only people advocating rotation in Nigeria?

The answer is they don't know how to get along with other people. That is a a problem. It is a problem because it gives rise to discrimination and divisions.

Presidency of Nigeria is not an individual or personal property. It is for all Nigerians.

So, any person or group of people who want to produce the presidency of Nigeria, should first learn how to get along with others .

Short of that, game over.

President Buhari is a terrible leader. Instead of him talking about massive killings by boko haran in the northern Nigeria, he jumped over to talk about damaged oil pipelines in south- South.

That tells you his interest is not in saving lives, but oil pipelines.

I write to call for president Buhari resignation. The primary responsibility of a president is protecting lives of citizens. Buhari does not care about loss of lives, but oil Money

Bring back capital punishment. Criminals disappeared when capital punishment was in place in the 60s through early 2000s.

Minister of transportation, Mr. Rotomi Amachi said “he Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, has claimed that former President Goodluck Jonathan offered him every opportunity to remain in the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, but he rejected it. The minister says he went ahead to support President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 because he is not tribalistic.”

I disagree.
Mr. Rotomi Amachi defected to APC because he thought Mohammedu Buhari would choose him as his running mate. Instead, Buhari chose Osinbajo.

I think it is insulting to hear Mr. Amachi twisted facts to make President Goodluck Jonathan look bad.

However, I want to say that President Jonathan hiring practice did make some people to think of him [Goodluck Jonathan] as a tribalist, but in general, Jonathan tribalism was not worser than Amachi.

Both Amachi and Jonathan are tribalists.
When President Jonathan was in power, he filled up key job positions with his tribe men, cozy up to Northern Nigerians, Ibos, Yorubas, but ignored states which bring money that Nigeria spends.

In transportation ministry today, sources told me he [Rotomi Amachi] has filled up key ministry positions with his fellow tribe at other states expense. I don’t know why Amachi’s practice of tribalism is better than that of President Goodluck Jonathan.

So, I call on Nigerian government to grant Osasere Erhanhon $500,000 none refundable loan to expand his idea on yam farm. This will encourage local people in his village to invest in local ideas like Mr. Erhanhon, create jobs for others, earn a living and pay bills.

Ibos went to war in 1967 to break away from Nigeria and failed.

Rotating the presidency is undemocratic and a clear violation of 1999 constitution of Nigeria. Over the past several years, I have spent time searching Nigerian constitution to locate—a section that calls for rotating the presidency and could not find one.

Anyone who wants Nigeria to remain one country should stop floating this nonsense idea.

And that means if you want to become the president of Nigeria in 2023 organize and take your voters to the polls. The Presidency of Nigeria will be decided at the ballots boxes

When corrupt government wants to steal people money, it cites irrelevant section of the constitution to get around the law to achieve objectives. OBJ government did this from 1999-2007. Goodkuck Jonathan/Yar Adua did same thing.

Section 58 of 1999 constitution specifically stated that a bill shall originate from the house or the senate.

But why is this finance bill coming from the presidency office?

I disagree with governor El-Rufai take above--- on how the killings in Kaduna state can be stopped.

Every state in Nigeria has a state commissioner of police—the person who is responsible for law and order in the state.

What is stopping governor El-Rufai from not using his state police of commissioner to solve crime issues in Kaduna state?

Just another attention driven excuse.

Many years ago, when the idea of allowing state governments in Nigeria to establish and own their own police force, came up, I was the first to support it. But after I noticed what state governors would do if given the permission to establish and own their own police force, I concluded that it would a bad idea and mistake.

Why?
First, State governors will abuse their power if given chance to own local police force for many reasons. Second,, they will use local police to win elections and stay in powers for very long time. Third, state governors will use local police to go after their oppositions. Fourth, state governors will use local police to suppress local residents opposed to their misconducts. And Fifth, state governors will use local police to be their personal errant boy.

So, I say to Nigerian law makers, don’t play with any part of the Nigerian constitution that will permit state governors to control police force. State governors cannot be trusted.

The UN report of over 110 Nigerians farmers been killed by the Boko Harm is right.

And Maj. Gen. John Eneche claimed above confirmed what we all know: that Nigerian government does not know the actual number of Nigerians killed.

Nigerian government needs to acknowledge their failure in protecting the lives of innocent citizens being slaughtered every day due to weak armed forces.

That is why I am so glad of the emergence of new technologies for communication –which have denied Nigerian government ability to lie and coverup the truth.

Now, because of these new technologies like email, internet, facebook, and forums, Nigerians able to know within minutes the truth about what is going inside Nigeria.

This is unlike before where people used to wait for months before learning what had happened in their communities.

No wonder why the Nigerian government is so desperately trying to shut down social media platforms.

I condemn the killing of these farmers. There is no justification by those who committed this inhumane crime.

The bottom line is President Buhari has not taken Boko Harm seriously as most Nigerians thought when he got elected in 2015 and that has emboldened Boko Haram to return to its killing fields.

I say, bring back former President, Goodluck Jonathan.
In an article title “President Buhari’s to-do list: Boko Haram, democracy and the petrocalypse” Guardian Africa Network listed three reasons why President Buhari was elected in 2015.

First, after President Jonathan success in recapturing territories once lost to Boko Haram, western countries thought President Buhari was the only one who would take advantage of the new success the military had achieved and crushed Boko Haram.

Second, Mohammed Buhari was ex-military man and that would earn him respect among Nigerian armed forces to work to destroy Boko Harm; that Boko Harm has prospered under Goodluck Jonathan because he is from the south and a Christian; and because Mohammed Buhari is from the North and a Muslim, somehow, Boko Haram would cease its criminal actives.

Third, that Mohammed Buhari heavy-handed might be what Nigeria needed to bring Boko Haram to an end.

So, and as you can see above reasons why western countries rushed to embrace Buhari presidency over Goodluck Jonathan, which of them has come to fruition?

I would argue, not a single one is correct
Since President Goodluck Jonathan presidency ended in 2015, Boko Haram menace has gotten worst. According to BBCnews, Boko Haram has killed over 40,000 Nigerians in the past 10 years and drove away estimated 4 million Nigerians away from their homes.

Boko Haram does not fear Mohammed Buhari like they feared Goodluck Jonathan. Boko Haram was destroyed in the last two months president Jonathan was in power. They lost their territories and most of them were either captured or killed.

Under Buhari’s Presidency, Boko Haram has prospered. They have recaptured territories once lost under Jonathan presidency. New success by Boko Haram has allowed them to kill more people and millions of Nigerians are at risk of getting killed in the next few months if Buhari remained in power.


That is why I am calling for President Goodluck Jonathan return to power. It would allow Nigerians to regain confidence that has been lost under Buhari leadership and return the country to normalcy.

President Goodluck Jonathan real reason for helping president Buhari is to prevent Buhari government from forfeiting Patience Jonathan $5 billion she stole while husband was the president.

I can't see Goodluck Jonathan leaving PDP for APC. That is because PDP made Goodluck Jonathan what he is today---a respectful state man.

So, if there is good working relationship between Goodluck Jonathan and Buhari , it serves Jonathan best interests than Buhari.

I support Atiku’s proposal above, but my only concern about the success of this proposal is Nigeria does not have infrastructures in place to identify rich Nigerians and assess the collection required. For example, Nigerians don’t have social security card number or national identification numbers in a national data base. Without national identification numbers to identify and classify citizens into rich and poor class, success of this proposal is just a dream.

Another area I like about Atiku proposal is that it will move Nigeria from current socialist economic system to capitalist economy. The different between socialist system of economy and capitalist economy is in socialist economy, profit of an enterprise is controlled by the government and the prices of goods and services are regulated. Whereas in capitalist economic system, owners of private enterprise control the profits and prices of goods and services are controlled by market forces [Demand and Supply].

And another significance thing about capitalist economy is-- it encourages more investments, it generates revenues to government in the form of taxes, creates jobs opportunities for locals, and prices of goods and services are much lower.

It should be noted that African economies are in terrible state because governments don’t have a system—that makes sure all employed pay taxes. That is why Nigerian government cannot fund services like police, good drinking water, steady power supply, and provide for the poor in time of needs.

As a result, you have increase in poverty, unemployment, kidnappings, vandalisms, armed robberies and murders.

So, and to Atiku point, Nigerian government should take Atiku proposal very seriously. Start now!

Terrible policy if this plan goes forward for many reasons. First, anytime you import products overseas, it kills local jobs and creates jobs opportunities for countries in abroad. That is why Nigeria unemployment rates have skyrocketed. Young people are graduating from schools yearly and cannot find work---explains why import is a bad policy

Second, imported cars pollute air and poison underground water. It also kills wildlife.
Third, car importation kills local ideas and invention. For example, Nigeria is now 60 years and nothing is made locally. The reason Nigeria does not manufacture anything locally is it relies too much on import. This is not good for a struggling economy like Nigeria.

Meanwhile, those who advocate for import have claimed it generates revenues. Increase revenue is a temporary benefit.

So, stop the plan to reduce or cut levy on cars importation because it amounts to shipping jobs overseas. When import license is high, it helps people to invest at home---and that is jobs.

You know President Buhari is a frequent visitor to UK to spend nigerian oil money on worthless medical care.

Perhaps, this UK praise for Nigeria economic outlook is an attempt to encourage president Buhari to keep going to London to spend more oil Money.

Another smart way to get a black man to buy into oyibo talking points.

Fellow nigerians, please don't fall into this kind of trap because we know Nigeria does not have a economy.

Edo2020:”Igbere TV reports that on Friday, the governor ordered contractors of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to immediately stop executing projects or undertaking contracts in the state.

Obaseki said the state government is approaching the court to seek an order stopping the federal agency from embarking on any project in the state without the consent of the state’s Executive Council.”

Governor Obasiki is a loser in this case. Putting an end to projects under execution hurts the people of Edo state, not NDDC officials. These projects could include roads repair work or providing good drinking water, farm project, building of low-income housing scheme for the poor, and more.

The failure of this report not to include list of projects the governor has stopped is a bad journalism. Viewers need to know what types of projects are affected by this terrible decision governor Obasiki has made to plan ahead.

If governor Obasiki really wanted to help the people of Edo state, he should have allowed the work on these projects to continue and at the same time negotiate with NDDC officials on ways going forward.

I think governor Obasiki wants his own 10% before these contracts can go on, and that is a shame.

I grow up reading about Nigerians graduating first in their class, but I have not witnessed a single product created by these brilliant graduates.

As I write this note, Nigerians are dying from electric generators imported from overseas.

As I write this note, Chinese, Germans, and the Europeans are building roads and bridges in Nigeria. And none is a Nigerian who graduated first in their class.

As I write this note, Nigerians are busying importing cars from Japan, Europe, America, and Asia. And none is made by these smart Nigerians.

As I write this note, Nigerians are busying importing clothes and other needs from somewhere—down there in the world. And none is made by these smart graduates from Nigeria.

As I write this note, Nigerian government is relying on 100% oil money to pay for everything its needs.

Where are the products created by these smart Nigerians who are reported—graduating with perfect scores?

Please, I write to appeal to Nigerians to stop pivoting these headlines about perfect scores graduates from Nigeria. The pain these reports have created is worse than problems everyday Nigerian is facing.

Color defines American ways of life.

Vice president elect Kamala Harris was described as person of color from get go. And news organizations never let go.

When you fill job applications, you have to indicate your skin's color .

When you make an appointment to see a doctor, you to select your skin color.

Mexico and Spanish people don't want to vote for Democrats for fear of being described as persons of color. That is why Democrats keep losing presidential elections because of color games.

Personally, I feel uncomfortable when I have to fill form and describe myself as a person of color.

And thank God Nigeria does have this color culture in our life.

Nonsense! 

Not  a good reason for changing a party. A party flag bearer is not awarded to someone because of your geographical region. 


Instead, a nominee for the party receives a ticket to represent the party by party convention process---which allows members to vote to choose a nominee 


Is APC going to award someone from southeast  geopolitical zone its 2023 presidential ticket. 


I doubt it. 

Why?

That will divide members and tip victory to PDP in 2023.


Perhaps,  Governor Umahi does not know the different between democracy and military government. 


I hope in the coming days, he will learn when he returns to PDP over the same reason that made him to change party.

Nigeria’s problem is not re-structuring—Vice President Osinbayo

I agree with VP Osinbayo. First time since Vice President Osinbayo assumed office in 2015 and said something that I can agree on. He is always on the wrong side of issues facing Nigeria, but this time he is right on the money.

What is restructuring Nigeria mean?
I hear those in support of re-structuring Nigeria referred to going back to region governments [Southeast, Southwest, North] Nigeria had after 1960 Independence. If that is what re-structuring means, you guys can kiss it good bye for many reasons.

First, regional government is oppressive regime. It has never worked anywhere in the word. It led to 1967 civil war in Nigeria—which killed over 1 million people. It concentrates wealth of regional government in the hands of few—leaving those at the bottoms to live on the handouts. In Nigeria, where tribes are in thousands, regional government oppressed smaller tribes. Taking Nigeria back to regional governments will never happen again.

Second, Regional government creates unstable leadership. It is about: Your tribe vs my tribe---and that means no peace. It works as a family business—only members eat. Jealousy and suspicion are the chief characteristics of regional government. It is dominated by factions and many times it leads to civil war. And it is centered on socialist economic policies—which destroyed old Soviet Unions and forced South American countries into economic collapse. Broadly speaking, regional government is a failure every where in the world. The fall of south and North Sudan and anarchy that emerged after it was divided into two countries served as deterrent to those Nigerians supporting re-structuring Nigeria.

Third, those in support of re-structuring Nigeria have one thing in mind: to steal oil money and leave oil communities poor. They do not know how to invest in new ways to create wealth for themselves. All they think about is how they can take control over the oil money.


But I have bad news for those in support of re-structuring Nigeria: year 2020 is not 1960. That means every state in Nigeria is independence from the central government and can take arms to defend their states.

 And you want to know why both federal and state governments are unable to create jobs for their citizens?

I want to know why is this so common?

I write to argue that systematic divisions among black people is the culprit.
Why?
Growing up as a child, I used to admire two clubs in Nigeria: stationary stores football club of Lagos and Rangers International football club of Enugu, Anambra State. Every year, these two clubs would meet at the finals for a chance to win Nigeria top club trophy. They were just the best. On Saturdays, Rival supporters would dance, walk and promise victory for their side.

Boy, I used to love it. Because I could not afford to buy tickets to go to the match in person, I would carry small radio with me all the time to listen to commentaries.

Without a doubt, I used to think—twenty years down the road, Nigeria would have professional league which Nigerian players can play for and earn themselves good money and not worry about traveling abroad to look for similar jobs.


But I was wrong. Now, twenty years have long passed and Nigeria still does not have competitive football teams that pay as much as those of European teams.

As a result, Nigerian players who seek good paying teams to play for in overseas are now being subject to all forms of abuse.
It should not be this way. But it is because Nigerians are too divisive to work together.

Governor Ayade weak management style is responsible for the current hostage taking, vandalism, and rising crime rates in Cross River State.

He has open doors policy --- which allows people to come into the state without background checks to determine their authenticity.

As a result ordinary citizens are made to pay the price with their lives.

I am really ashamed of what a good state like Cross river state has descended into now.
