Exactly what I was going to say.. Whatever he's experiencing could not have been caused by Amytriptiline.
He should check well and come clean if there were other drugs he took.
No he did not take Amitriptyline It is certain. I guess he took Lexotan for a long time unprescribed .instead of minimum of 3 to 5 days and 1,5 milligrams. Lexotan has a strong withdrawal symptom of taken for a long time.

I am having insomnia and getting brain zaps due to anti depressant giHiven to me by a doctor , I sleep just 2 hours at night , and whenever I try to nap in the afternoon, it’s as if my brain is stopping me from that

I really don’t know what to do at this moment , as I am scared of going to the hospital
Anti depressants are of different types Some are Imipraimme, Zoloft etc There could be withdrawal effects in some. What they do is to control the chemical imbalance caused by anxiety and depression. However Amitriptyline is safe and can be stopped any time.No dependence at all. It will make you sleep and you may have to start to reduce the dosage if you sleep too much. YOU will be okay my brother

Politics › Re: Rivers Government Drags FG To Supreme Court Over VAT by ejimatic: 11:13am On Sep 15, 2021
fergie001:
The RVSG is within rights to move up. When a Party is dissatisfied with an interlocutory appeal, he can challenge same at the Superior Court. When it is before the Superior Court, the lower Court must refrain from adjudicating on same pending the judgement of the Higher Court.

The Appeal Court panel created a lot of ambiguity in the Stay it granted.

Firstly, Lagos State applied as an interested Party to the suit because the FIRS in its application for Stay at the FHC in Port Harcourt, included Lagos in its writs. Rivers and Lagos States Assemblys have passed VAT bills into law before it went up to the Appeal Court.

The Justice H S Tsammani-led Appeal Panel deferred the case of Lagos' application for joinder to September 16, 2021. However, it granted a "status quo ante bellum" that included Lagos whose application was to come up on the 16th? How possible?

Secondly, Rivers and Lagos Houses of Assemblys have passed VAT laws that are still unchallenged today by virtue of the fact that they are not parties to any suit and these bills are not before the Courts.

It is another imbroglio likened to an example where a Court is telling the President not to carry out an Act of the National Assembly, without anyone indeed challenging the Act itself.
The best will be to sue the National Assembly or sue the Federal Government with the National Assembly as co-respondents.

Thirdly, FIRS appealed the High Court judgement, only for the Court to sit and they orally applied for Stay of Execution. Without written application, nothing.... motion on notice, nothing.... just orally. And the Appeal Court granted it. How?

This is contrary to Order 6, Rule 1 of the Court of Appeal Rules 2016 which states:
"Every application to the Court shall be by notice of motion supported by affidavit and shall state the Rule under which it is brought and the ground for the relief sought."

Where any application is made to the Court for a stay of execution or of proceedings under any judgment or decision appealed from, such application shall be made by notice of motion supported by affidavit setting forth the grounds upon which a stay of execution or of proceedings is sought.

Rivers State by virtue of the High Court Judgement still reserves the RIGHTS of VAT collection. The SC will help out here.

Republican then was interested in crisis and paid no attention to warnings given on the impending attack If the Taliban could take over Afghanistan then as it is today America under Republican would wage war against the Taliban. It is unthinkable however that some sucide bombers could expose the lives of about 3000 invidividulas to danger in the name of politics. Hello Nairalanders and Guests.

I am just curious to know what to do with the placenta after birth, and I am sure many young men as first timers feels the same if handed the placenta after his wife delivers a child.

Especially to young guys that are just raising a family. I know that culture varies but in Yoruba tribe for example, placenta are meant to be
buried. Buried where? On your land or you have to encroach another man's land to bury that? grin

As a father or grandfather kindly share your experience on how to dispense placenta after delivery.

Many thanks.
A plancenta is buried in Yoruba land by the father of a new baby.It can be buried anywhere.IIt can also be thrown into a pit latrine. It is just a way of disposing it after child delivery. It should not be given to anybody apart from the father of the baby or its mother if the father is not around.
Congratulations to them all.

This made us remember one of the greatest Nigerian that have ever lived.
GANI FAWEHINMI.....

For the young ones in the forum that really wanna know about the few good men our darling country has produced in the past,
The man Gani Fawehinmi is among the Top 3.
One of the few good men we have around that fought with their lives for the masses.

All of us @ hereby present him to you in words and in pictures.

Should I be faced with a tussle between the rich and the poor, I will dig and dig, till I find the law for the poor!”....... Gani Fawehinmi.

Up until he actually started practising law, all Ganiyu “Gani” Oyesola Fawehinmi wanted was to be a successful lawyer.
But when he started practising in Lagos in 1965, he soon realised that he also wanted to affect the lives of everyday Nigerians and leave a legacy of impact. He did exactly that.

Often representing those who couldn’t afford his services, Fawehinmi quickly became known as “the people’s lawyer,” taking on a great number of pro bono cases over the course of his career.

Fawehinmi played the role of human rights campaigner for 40 years, constantly provoking over-mighty military rulers and defending their victims. His brushes with the authorities earned him frequent detentions and beatings.
His passport was confiscated several times, and on one occasion his books were seized and his library set on fire.

He believed in media freedom, contributed avidly to newspapers, and often took on journalists’ cases. Most notable of these was the still unsolved case of Dele Giwa, a magazine editor killed by a parcel bomb in 1986.
Fawehinmi sought to re-open the Dele Giwa case, and called on the present federal attorney general to be removed for his indifference to corruption; all from his sick bed.

“Since independence, each successive government assumed power either by rigging elections or by military usurpation,'' he once said.
''Each rolled out tonnes of papers or promises only to settle down to the business, not of governance, but of serious looting, brigandage, perversion of values, ethnic politicisation, insensitivity, spurious economic and financial maladjustments, useless task forces.''

He died in 2009 after a long battle with cancer, still resilient as ever.

Throughout their fighting for the common man, non of these great men below murdered or killed anybody, cos all lives matter to then,
Unlike some political sponsored animals brainwashing some jobless and foolish touts these days, turning them to murderers in broad day light. Brothers killing sisters in cold blood.

A picture speaks more than a thousand words....

If the truth wanna kill some people, let the die.
All of us @ will continue to pepper some online hooligans and bandits with our daily TRUTH.
#BeLikeDemMANNA.

WE RISE.
. The bag in Fawehini hand was his detention bag.He was always ready to suffer for masses

Any government that focuses on the capital development at the expense of human development is a failure. That is the problem we have now in Nigeria. Exchange rate 530 naira to a Dollar. Poverty rate is 80 percentage Standard of living is poor daily. No sector works well.Even if houses are built in heavens there is no impact on the lives of Nigerians.
