. Do you live at Ile-Ife or Ilesa? If your answer is NO,then you may not understand what is going on in the two ancient cities. However for your information villages lands farm products and other sources of livelihood have been destroyed by the Chiness miners bought to the two cities by their traditional rulers. Many people iin Ilesa and Ile-Ife are crying because of their losses from the miners..The arrested Chimesse miners kept saying the land from which they mine have been sold to them .Who sold it.Ife and Ilesa people know who are responsible for mining illegally their age long mineral resources...My concern is how only two persons are making mon ey from gold in Ile+Ife and Ilesa without developing the ancient cities from them. Is that justice? Is that equity? Is that balance? Regrettably nothing will happen on the case because of those involved.

Yenefer:
Hate to break it to you, try your best for God sake. it's like part of human evolution there's nothing you can do that will reverse this trend. Money can temporary unite them but as soon as money disappears it will be Worse.

Chamath Palihapitiya, former vice-president of user growth, expressed regret for his part in building tools that destroy ‘the social fabric of how society works’

“tremendous guilt” over his work on “tools that are ripping apart the social fabric of how society works”, joining a growing chorus of critics of the social media giants.

“The short-term, dopamine-driven feedback loops that we have created are destroying how society works. No civil discourse, no cooperation, misinformation, mistruth.”

“This is not about Russian ads,” he added. “This is a global problem. It is eroding the core foundations of how people behave by and between each other.”

“exploit[s] a vulnerability in human psychology” by creating a “social-validation feedback loop”

Parker had said that he was “something of a conscientious objector” to using social media, a stance echoed by Palihapitiya who said that he was now hoping to use the money he made at Facebook to do good in the world.

“I can’t control them,” Palihapitiya said of his former employer. “I can control my decision, which is that I don’t use that shit. I can control my kids’ decisions, which is that they’re not allowed to use that shit.”

He also called on his audience to “soul-search” about their own relationship to social media. “Your behaviors, you don’t realize it, but you are being programmed,” he said. “It was unintentional, but now you gotta decide how much you’re going to give up, how much of your intellectual independence.”

“That’s what we’re dealing with,” Palihapitiya said. “Imagine when you take that to the extreme where bad actors can now manipulate large swaths of people to do anything you want. It’s just a really, really bad state of affairs.”

We are been programmed and destroying family values is one of there primary objectives
. Unity in the family is the best. When all family members come together for a family meeting it enhances and fosters family togetherness. Regrettably this is not the case in many families. The reasons are as follows: 1. Some family members may not be happy with your progress and can work for your downfall. 2 With various commitments many cannot just leave their bases and come for a meeting that won't give them anything. 3 You only know yourself you don't know the minds of other people in the family. They may be evil. One lady came from abroad and attended a family meeting. She spent years on problems emanating from evil forces in her family. With many other issues relating to family meeting, many families can't hold a family meeting. If meting during an event works for you pls continue. If you want to organise a family meeting specifically for a day discuss it at the next family event. If it is approved by all and sundry continue with it.I pray they all cooperate with you.

Lyon lost the opportunity of being the governor because of the irregularity in the name of his supposed deputy .Now it is the turn of Diri.If he is found guilty he will leave the office with his deputy because of joint ticket factor.INEC will be mandated to declare the next candidate from the party that fulfilled the requirement of being the governor. If none has it there be a by election in Bayelsa among the remaining parties.APC and PDP excluded. From my observation PDP in Bayelsa is disturbed because of this development and that is why it is leaving no stone unturned on order to survive the imminent calamity.

The Chief of staff to governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa state, Chief Benson Agadaga, has offered to reward the 2019 candidate of the Liberation Movement (LM), Mr. Vijah Opuamah with ‘Special Package’ if he drops the certificate forgery case against the governor.

Agadaga made the offer in a phone conversation, exclusively obtained by The Street Journal.

There have been several moves and appeals by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to make Opuama withdraw the case from the Tribunal.

He has been offered money and juicy appointments but he has declined all the offers.

The case against Diri
The Street Journal had earlier reported that Opuama dragged Gov. Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewrujakpor to court over the inconsistency in the name on the certificates presented by Ewrujakpor during the elections.

Opuama alleged that Ewrujakpor was not qualified to contest the election and urged the court to declare his candidature null and void, which will automatically lead to the ouster of Gov. Diri as well.
Opuama said that the deputy governor submitted an affidavit containing false information to the electoral umpire, INEC.

He further claimed in his petition that Mr Diri’s deputy, Ewrujakpor, presented a forged university certificate and a forged exemption certificate of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to INEC before the conduct of the election.

These documents had since been uploaded by The Street Journal alongside telephone conversations between Mr. Opuama and various PDP faithfuls luring the former with juicy promises in a bid to get him to drop the case at the tribunal.

There are fears in the camps of the PDP and Diri that the Court will remove the governor, the same way the governor-elect of the state, David Lyon and his deputy Degi Eremionyo were removed over the inconsistency in the certificates presented by Eremionyo.

Desperate Moves
In yet another desperate move to bribe Mr. Opuama, the Chief of Staff to Governor Diri of the PDP, told him that a package is available for him.

“I say make I come your house so that we can resolve everything because this forward and backward movement is not making sense. You know we are all one in Bayelsa and we are not supposed to fight each other. I decided to bring down myself on behalf of my people to contact you so that we can resolve everything. I know you're in Abuja and you've spent a lot of money but still try to find a way to come to Yenegoa let's see and talk.

“Don't worry I'll speak to my people, we will arrange something for you. In fact, we have a package for you. When we discuss and agree, we will hand it over to you. Do you understand,” he said on the telephone.

He also told Opuama that Mary Odili, a Justice of the Supreme Court and wife of PDP’s chieftain, Peter Odili, is working for them on the case.

“Another thing I wanted to tell you is that Justice Mary Odili and her people are working for us as you already know but there's no need to involve her in this matter because we are all one. Just find a way to come over let's settle and handover everything once and for all,” he added.

However, The Street Journal has not independently confirmed that the Honourable justice is working for Diri and his camp.

The latest telephone conversation between Mr. Benson and Mr. Vijah Opuamah:

Mr. Benson: Hello, how you dey?

Opuama: I'm fine

Mr. Benson: It's me, Benson Agadaga. I say make I come your house so that we can resolve everything because this forward and backward movement is not making sense. You know we are all one in Bayelsa and we are not supposed to fight each other. I decided to bring down myself on behalf of my people to contact you so that we can resolve everything. Opuama: Yes Sir.

Mr. Benson: So when do we expect you?

Opuama: I'll get back to you

I just met this lady and everything seems to be clicking. she just started a business after I gingered her and I had to patronize her. in the course I transferred some money to her to patronize her far more money than she was selling the Stuff so as to encourage her. The bank debited me and I told her I sent it.

Throughout that day she claimed not to have gotten the money. Then throughout the next day same story so the third day I went to the bank to receive the statement of account. lo and behold her name was boldly written and the bank people told me she has gotten it. I got very angry and sent it to her but I didn't tell her anything I just ignored her call.

A policeman asked for her number at the bank that he will question her. throughout these period I ignored her and I was just imagining how a beautiful light skin tender looking babe will behave like this. Then lo and behold today the bank reversed the money. I can't explain the feeling of disappointment.

Now she said she doesn't want to have anything to do with me again that she doesn't want wahala for her life. She finally picked after many trials of calling and she insisted on me leaving her life.she even said she's not doing business again. I don't know what to do.
. Let her go my brother... Your money went out and came back.Good news! If she had married you would she have done same thing? Of her money was missing. would she be folding her hands? I am peer-reviewing 121(3) of 1999 Constitution (as amended).
We must congratulate Saraki/Dogara-led-National Assembly in 2018.

In the words of Karibi-Whyte, J.S.C, (SC 4/1996; 28/5/99) vide in Attorney General of the Federation Vs. Guardian Newspapers Ltd:“A notable feature of the amended Constitution… is the distribution of the exercise of government functions among the three principal and separate departments of the Legislature, the Executive and the Judiciary. The Constitution also prescribed scope and limits for each department and that within its jurisdiction, the exercise of power is supreme. Accordingly, implicit in the power so vested, the one was not to interfere in the exercise of power of the other, except to the extent to which the Constitution confers such power of interference. This is the hallowed principle of the separation of powers first formulated by Montesquieu and now nearly perfected in the Constitution .… As a general rule therefore, except otherwise expressly provided or incidental to powers conferred, the legislature cannot exercise either executive or judiciary power; the judiciary cannot exercise either executive or legislative power……” I regret to say that this is not the case with our democracy which is anything but far from the idea of a limited Government. As long as one branch of Government possesses the power to act in the absence of explicit legislative authorization, so long we will continue to endure a dysfunctional democracy.

I am forced to step back and thoroughly align with your submissions.

Not only is Buhari right, his signing of its implementation is novel and should be commended.

Ejimatic....
. It is good we all look at this matters from diverse perspectives.Good presentation and discussion from all of us. The focus of White from the reference is the application of the autonomy on the federal system of government. He lampooned the dysfunctional application of separation of power in the Nigeria's federal system. I still submit that the extension of the financial autonomy must be fully and clearly spelt out in our constitution. The aggrieved governors do not want it extended because of their ulterior motives. That is the reason behind their condemnation of the unilateral executive order of the president with any recourse to its inclusion into the constitution....Additionally the autonomy is on finances not power separation. The best is to let it be fully incorporated into the Constitution for legal protection and enduring application.

You are very wrong. It was Incorporated in the 2018 Constitution amendment and was singed into law by buhari. Refere to section 121 of the last amended Constitution.
. Is there any mention of SHA and Judiciary at the state level on the constitution as amended? The focus now is SHA and Judiciary ...The supreme court will now determine if what was repealed in 2018 accommodates SHA and state judiciary. In my opinion I think the federal was the focus in 2018 revised law...The Constitution must be allowed to make it broader. Your contribution is however appreciated.

Sorry sir,we don't need to be told that state legislature and judiciary must be independent which includes financial independence.this is surely the intendment of the drafters and the supreme court will not miss this
. Your opinion is true. The focus now is State HA and Judiciary. Some state executives do what they like on this matter. That is why giving autonomy to the SHA and Judiciary must be a constitutional matter like that of the federal government. This provision must be incorporated into the 1999 constitution and be spelt out in full terms for future references I agree with you that the SC will have a final say in this matter.

Since the said autonomy was already expressly provided in the constitution, the order is trite and it behoves on the AGF to enforce it
. The autonomy of State Houses of Assembly and Judiciary of the state is not fully in the 1999 constitution. The constitution must be repealed to accommodate this autonomy that cannot be set aside by any future President.

Well on a second thought, the executive order may be the best move since the constitution already granted financial autonomy to the 2 organs.buhari through the attorney gen is only invoking or activating or resurrecting that constitutional provision that has been neglected.what is the need of passing another bill or going through the rigorous process of amending what is already provided?

From the statements of the unnamed governors, they are not against autonomy totally but are angry that it came from the presidency direct without their knowledge.they wanted to delay and negotiate the terms of the autonomy in their own favour.so buhari might just be right
. I agree with you and appreciate your contribution! However it is possible for another president to reverse it in future. That is why it is good to discuss together and bind it constitutionally.Autonomy is a constitutional matter especially that of State Houses of Assembly and Judiciary.

Senatordave1.....we were saying this some days ago that the Govs will fight back.

In my little understanding of law, any alteration or amendment to the Constitution should have to go through the NA...as fantastic as this is, I think this Executive Order might be rightly challenged.

ejimatic ......help us here!
. Executive order is the last resort. I wonder why it is not allowed to pass thru the national assembly since it is a constitutional matter. The PDP governors may challenge this in court but the APC governors may let the sleeping dog lie by working with their president on the matter. In sum the executive order is an aberration in a federal system of government .It mist be processed speedily according to provisions we have in the law

A hilarious photo of an Nta presenter has gone viral online.

The lady as seen in the photo is putting on a traditional attire and then she's wearing a canvas.

This doesn't go down well in the world of fashion. Most of us can attest to this as there are other footwear to wear other than what she wore in the picture.

The person that uploaded this picture wrote thus:
NTA news, nawa for una wardrobe ooo. All stars lori Native

See photo
. She wore English dress to the news room..As she was changing attire in the news room the time for the bulleting reading was up she had to move to the news table for the news cast.....It has to do with time of the news and punctuality of the newscasters .In some.e situations some would be on the powder process when the time would be up.One of the dramas of journalism.

Am lost here. Please what is celibate?
. Celibacy is a condition when a person decides not to marry or have sex with an opposite sex for a particular period of time.Somebody who makes that decision is a celibate.

It's no longer a story that pastors divorce their partners, imams divorce their partners, highly educated people do same and even the so called marriage counsellors are not left out in the order of the day and it has always been a thing of worry for me with the thought that they never loved each other before marriage but getting married has changed my thinking and has made me realised that marriage only takes the grace of God to work out.

I have been married for 3 years with 1 beautiful daughter with a loving wife (maybe before and some years into the marriage). I have always believed that I cannever raise my hand on my woman since my father never did such but I find it hard to believe I did the unimaginable today although It wasn't intentional.

It was due to annoyance after she asked me to stop sitting at home and go work for more money like other men even though I am a federal worker with above 100k monthly income and still do personal work as a civil engineer apart from the federal job despite the lockdown.....

It really got me aggravated because I have been the one fending for the family and the kid for the past 3 years and never asked for a kobo from her.....

Although I have noticed the urge for very flamboyant life style in her lately and has even asked me to get more money at any means, that money is everything in this life even though I have tried telling her its a gradual process, she still doesn't listen and even asked me to raise money for her to travel out of Nigeria.

I have never thought of raising my hands on any woman let alone my wife.....

Please how do I change her sudden mentality towards this sudden extravagant life style because I pray it doesn't lead to something else since I can't do illegal things to acquire the type of wealth she dreams of?
. I see your wife as a person who is being controlled by her friends.Who are her friends? When a woman is influenced by her friends she behaves insatiably to her husband. Ask her what she wants and tell her what you can do within your power and the need for her to cooperate with you.Never ever give her money to travel abroad as she will abandon you for life...Additionally job is hard to find now.So maintain your good job and supporting undertakings too .Do not be stampeded into taking any wrong decision by a woman who appears to be disgruntled and inappreciative of what she has under the influence of bad association.

Please pardon me for posting this here. I would have posted it in health section but the last one I posted there didn't get much satifisfactory response. I wanna believe we have some specialist here who can be of help.

Just to be double sure, I've heard it over and again that if a girl is celibate for a long time say 5 to 6 years before getting pregnant that she'll have some birth complications because the cervix has contrasted so much due to lack of sexual activities. How true is this?

Does celibacy tighen the cervix?

I also read somewhere that a lady fainted due to severe pains from sex on her wedding cos she was celibate for a long time after. And a doctor said its because she was sexually active before going celibate, that if she was a virgin it wouldn't have tightened so much.

Now, How true is this too? Like after being sexually active briefly then you go into celibacy for a very long time? And if its true, how or what can one do to prevent such scenario ( fainting) and the pains. Any dilating drugs or remedy.

Please a kind hearted doc should give suggestions or help clear the above.
Thanks.
. A path that is walked always is smother than a path that is not walked regularly or a path that has been abandoned. When a lady is still a virgin till about 34 or 35 the deflowering process may be painful as well as their childbirth .It is because of the contraction of the cervix as a result of irregular or non sexual activity..This however does not apply to everybody.... The solution is if there is a late marriage there must an ample time for pre-intimacy which helps lubricating the female genital for copulation. This will reduce the pain if it comes. When the lady is pregnant she must have sex on a regular basis with her husband so that her delivery will be easy..Abstinence from sex before marriage is not a problem as every sexual crisis can be controlled and managed depending on the understanding and orientation of the spouses .
