CyynthiaKiss: Whatever. Any Yoruba man who will vote for Buhari is indirectly defecating and be urinating on the grave of PA Awolowo.
Good people of SW are not stupid. If Buhari wins again, he will show Yoruba people his true colour. Buhari has shown us his little colour by replacing Kemi Adeosun with a Northerner instead of fellow Yoruba. Does it mean that nobody is qualified in Yoruba land to replace her like Good luck Jonathan removed Igbo ministers and replaced them with fellow Igbos?.. If Buhari wins again, Yoruba will taste the wrath of Buhari... Mark my words.. Buhari is not a nationalist like Yaradua, Babangida or Atiku. Buhari is an ethnic bigot, to him ethnic and tribal interest supersedes the national interest instead of the other way round. May curse never depart from anybody from SW supporting Buhari... Awolowo is gnashing his teeth in the grave seeing some misguided elements from SW worshiping Buhari. My people, our mumu don do. It's a pity. Buhari again?.. Olorun maje! . Your opinion is respected. However I disagree with you.I not a politician but I know South west will vote APC because their son is the VP.What will be their gain if they do not vote APC?Kemi Adeosun can be replaced by anybody. She is from Ogun .Ogun APC will replace her.The president can choose anybody to replace her.Baba Awolowo can never talk about that.Besides Awolowo is dead and knows nothing again. This is my opinion .Yoruba's will never turn their back at Osinbanjo .They are after power shift in 2023.....nothing can change it. |

MrAJQ: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday arrested the immediate-past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, Daily Trust gathered.
The former SGF, who was picked up by operatives of the agency, is expected to be arraigned today following a charge of conspiracy and fraud levelled against him by the anti-graft agency.
Lawal will be docked before an FCT High Court in Maitama to be presided over by Justice Jude Okeke.
The EFCC had filed a 10-count charge bordering on conspiracy and fraud against him and Hamidu David Lawal, Suleiman Abubakar and two companies, Rholavision Engineering Ltd and Josmon Technologies Ltd.
In the charge filed on January 30 by Offem Uket for the commission, Lawal was alleged to have conspired with Hamidu, a director in Rholavision and Abubakar, a staff in the same company, to fraudulently acquire a property and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 26(1)(c) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000 and punishable under Section 12 of the same Act.
One of the charges accused Hamidu, Abubakar and Rholavision to have “abet the award of contract to Rholavision Engineering Ltd for the removal of invasive plant species and simplified irrigation to the tune of N6.4million by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) through the Presidential Initiative for North East (PINE).”
Count 9 of the charge accused Hamidu to have “abet the holding indirectly of a private interest by Engineer Babachir Lawal in the award of a contract to Josmon Technologies Ltd for the removal of invasive plant species and simplified irrigation by OSGF through PINE to the tune of N272.5million.”
Lawal was also accused to have fraudulently acquired a private interest in a contract awarded to Josmon Technologies Ltd.
President Muhammadu Buhari had in October 2017, sacked Lawal following a report of investigations by a panel headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, into allegations of fraud leveled against him.
https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/efcc-arrests-babachir-lawal-to-arraign-him-today.html . It is only in this regime that Secretary to the government will be arraigned... Nobody is above the law.. A good legacy of Buhari government. When he leaves in 2023 who will sustain the tempo and momentum? That is a question that only time will answer. |

Politics › Re: Buhari Or Atiku: Anxiety, As Nigeria Enters Crucial Week by ejimatic: 9:39am On Feb 11, 2019 |
nairavsdollars: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
This weekend, precisely on February 16, 84 million registered voters in Nigeria will troop out to make one of the most important decisions in the history of the nation – the election of a new President and Commander-in- Chief of the Armed Forces, who will pilot the affairs of the nation for another four years.
The election, the sixth presidential election since the return of Nigeria to democratic system of government in 1999 is a crucial one given the fact that it is a choice between continuity, which the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is canvassing and change, as espoused by the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Aside political parties, Nigerians will also take their destinies in their hands as they choose between President Muhammadu Buhari, the APC candidate and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice-President between 1999 and 2003, who is running on the platform of the PDP. As Bloomberg described it, the election “is a choice between a former dictator and alleged kleptocrat”.
However, not to be ruled out is the threat by other political parties, whose candidates have proven to Nigerians that they are the best alternative to the APC and PDP. These are Kingsley Moghalu, ex- deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) of the Young Progressive Party (YPP); Omoyele Sowore, a former student activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters of African Action Congress (AAC); Fela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN); Gbenga Olawepo- Hashim, a former publicity secretary of the PDP, who is running on the platform of the Peoples Trust (PT), the party endorsed by a coalition of Nigeria’s Civil Society Organisations also known as the ‘Third Force’ movement.
Owing to the crisis within its fold, the leadership of Social Democratic Party (SDP) has already pulled out of the race and has adopted President Buhari as its consensus candidate. The Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) had also adopted Buhari following the withdrawal of its presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili. It is expected that within the week, other political parties will also pitch their tent with either the APC or PDP.
‘Atiku’s Last Chance’
Many political watchers and analysts believe that the 2019 presidential election will be the last chance for Atiku given his age. By February 16, Atiku would have clocked 72. Were he to contest and lose again, he would be 76 by 2023 when another presidential election will hold. If he wins, he may, however, seek reelection in 2023, which is allowed by the constitution.
A veteran politician of repute, Atiku is no stranger to contesting presidential elections. In 1992, he contested the presidential primary on the platform the Social Democratic Party (SDP) but lost out to late Chief MKO Abiola. Following the failure of his boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo to handover to him after the expiration of his tenure, Atiku sought the presidency again in the 2007 general election on the platform of the Action Congress (AC), but came third behind the PDP’s candidate, the late Umaru Yar’Adua, who won the election, and the All Nigeria Peoples Party’s candidate (ANPP), Muhammadu Buhari, who came second.
Undaunted, Atiku contested the PDP presidential primary ticket in 2011 but lost out to former President Goodluck Jonathan, who took over as President following Yar’Adua’s demise.
In December 2014, Atiku, then a member of the APC also contested but lost in the party’s presidential primary to Buhari, who eventually won the presidential election in 2015. Now, he stands a better chance contesting on the platform of the PDP, the nation’s major opposition party, which lost out in 2015 after a 16-year dominance.
Having experienced what the APC can deliver in the last four years, millions Nigerians who felt things were better economically under the PDP government see Atiku as a beacon of hope.
Atiku has not minced words about his chances of defeating Buhari in a free, fair, contest.
“I will definitely beat him this time. He has wasted a lot of his massive goodwill. A lot of people are disgruntled but they are keeping quiet and lying low. Our youths are suffering terribly. They are even now being sold into slavery.
“Everyone knows my track record of inviting and attracting a good team and giving them the opportunity to work professionally. Nigerians are tired of leaders who cannot think big and work big,” he once said.
One of his strongest selling points is his promise that his administration will start the process of restructuring the country within six months of his inauguration. This has won him supports from various groups across the country such as Afenifere, Ohanaeze, PANDEF and other pro-restructuring groups.
Buhari’s Next Level On The Spotlight
President Buhari came to office in March 2015 with focus on three key areas namely, revamping the economy, tackling insecurity and war against corruption. Though the President’s media team and supporters of the APC have claimed that he has delivered on his promises, especially in these three key areas, some Nigerians believe the country has been worse off than how it was four years ago.
One of the misgivings Nigerians had against the President was his inability to hit the ground running in the formation of his cabinet. He was also plagued by ill health for a long time, which adversely affected the pace of his government. Now seeking re-election, the President has promised to take governance to the next level.
Recently, the President, while speaking the State House during the presentation of the book, “Nigeria on Firmer Ground, Towards Lasting Peace & Progress,” put together by the Presidential Media Team, declared that his administration has delivered on its promises made to Nigerians in 2015.
According to him, his administration is ready to do more by taking Nigeria to the Next Level of development, prosperity, peace and stability.
He said, “Coming just a week to the commencement of the 2019 general elections, there is no doubt that today’s event is very significant as the electorate is being offered more insights into the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration since we came to office in 2015.
“From the accounts of all the earlier speakers and what can be gleaned from the book, supported by verifiable facts and figures on projects and programmes implemented in almost every state of the federation, it is clear that our administration has delivered substantially on our campaign promises.
“Riding on the wave of the Change Agenda, which we anchored on making positive impact in the three priority areas of security, economy and fighting corruption, I am convinced that we have made real progress and we are poised to do more by taking Nigeria to the Next Level of development, prosperity, peace and stability”.
Divided Votes
Unlike in 2015 when the presidential election was between a southerner represented by Goodluck Jonathan and a northerner (Buhari), the 2019 presidential election will prove to be a very exciting one because it is strictly a ‘Northern affair’. Both Atiku and Buhari are both Muslims with huge following in the North. While Buhari is from the North-West, precisely Katsina State, Atiku hails from Adamawa State in the North- East.
In a recent interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Festus Keyamo (SAN), spokesman of the President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, said Atiku can never have a share in the number of votes President Buhari had always scored in Northern Nigeria. He said, “ In 2011, we had four presidential candidates from the North. Nuhu Ribadu, Ibrahim Shekarau, Mahmud Waziri and Muhammadu Buhari. Did they divide Buhari’s votes? In fact, that was when he got 12 million votes from the North. Nobody can divide Buhari’s votes in the North”.
However, recent developments in the country did not support Keyamo’s claims. The Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF), one of the popular elite pressure groups in the region, which supported Buhari in the 2015 election, recently said that the forum has dumped Buhari for another Northern presidential candidate.
According to the group’s convener, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, “Buhari was dumped because of his failure to fulfil the basic conditions they handed to him in 2015 when they rejected then president Goodluck Jonathan and elected him.
“Two of the conditions we gave Buhari upon his assumption of office were that he should take concrete steps to address the abject poverty and underdevelopment in the North and he has woefully failed to marginally address any of them,” he said.
Aside the North, both candidates will also battle for votes in other regions especially in the South- South and South East. These two zones were originally referred to as the stronghold of the PDP, but the APC in the last four years has made serious incursion which has culminated in the defection of some former PDP heavyweights such as Godswill Akpabio, former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, a former governor of Delta State, Ken Nnamani, a former Senate president and host of others. https://www.independent.ng/buhari-or-atiku-crucial-week-for-nigerians/ . Iam not going to anything until the evening of February 16 when all results are coming in.....My epistle will will be posted on 17 February.....This election however reminds me of August 14 2014 Osun Election between APC and PDP.....Time will tell about the winner....Welcome on board Nigerians to the decisive week . |
Politics › Re: Why Former US President Bill Clinton Is Visiting Buhari, Atiku by ejimatic: 6:35am On Feb 11, 2019 |
Ray97: A former President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, has been scheduled to meet with major contenders in Nigeria’s presidential candidates to negotiate a peace deal amidst political mudslinging and tension.
Clinton will meet President Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, and his main rival, Atiku Abubakar, of the People’s Democratic Party.
Facilitated by Kofi Annan Foundation, the meeting would come a day before the presidential election slated for February 16.
“As Nigeria heads towards presidential elections, every effort must be made to ensure that they take place in a peaceful atmosphere” Alan Doss, President of the Kofi Annan Foundation, said in a press statement on Friday.
“President Bill Clinton is well-known and respected in Nigeria and we are pleased that he agreed to make the trip in order to personally urge all the candidates and their parties to re-commit to the peace pledge they adopted last December,” Doss added.
Doss opined that Clinton’s presence will demonstrate “the importance of these elections not only for Nigeria but Africa as a whole”.
The campaigns have been characterised by intense mudslinging, threats of violence and outright lies.
Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, a key ally of President Buhari, during the week, threatened that any external actors who try to intervene in the elections and in the internal affairs of the country would return home in a body bags.
“We are waiting for the person who will come and intervene. They will go back in body bags because nobody will come to Nigeria and tell us how to run our country,” said El-Rufai.
“We have got that independence and we are trying to run our country as decently as possible,” he said.
Last year Buhari and Atiku both signed an agreement stating a commitment to hold a peaceful election.
Following El-Rufai’s comments, the main opposition PDP said it would be “left with no option than to consider a review of its signatory in the national peace accord” if the ruling party did not stop “comments, threats and incendiary actions”.
El-Rufai’s comment came after the US, the UK and EU expressed their concerns to the Nigerian authorities over the suspension of the chief justice Walter Onnoghen.
Buhari said Onnoghen was suspended for not declaring his assets when he was made the country’s top judge.
Buhari also said “the security agencies have since then traced other suspicious transactions running into millions of dollars to the CJN’s personal accounts, all undeclared or improperly declared as required by law.”
But his critics said the suspension was a pre-emptive move by the government with the hope of having a friendly judge at the helms of affairs should the presidential elections result is disputed.
Nigeria’s judiciary has helped resolve electoral disputes in past votes, some of which have been marred by violence and vote-rigging.
https://guardian.ng/news/why-former-us-president-bill-clinton-is-visiting-buhari-atiku/ if America wants to vote will it invite any of our former presidents to talk to its candidates on peace matter? Why won't they embarrass us with their needless and shameful visit when our politics is characterised by bitterness,. hate speeches, meaningless campaigns, threats , and edited pictures of campaigns on the Internet. Many Nigerian voters don't even know what they are doing for they cannot identify good and focused government. If election is with violence that means greedy politicians know what they are making in politics |

UnchangeableGod: Sir, sincerely speaking, it is rather too premature to judge who is more honest between Atiku and the incumbent president. It is when the later leaves office that we can empirically judge. Talking about honesty, I think an honest person doesn't lie, doesn't deceive, doesn't deny his promises, doesn't blame others for his non performance, doesn't surround himself with dishonest people, doesn't practice partiality, doesn't promise more than one person or region same position same time, doesn't disobey valid court orders, is not divisive, sectional nor nepotistic, is not vindictive. However, as the writer opined, we are not voting for a pastor, we are voting for a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to take us out of the woods of joblessness and economic quagmire. We have tried the incumbent and have seen his best. Let us try Atiku. If he fails (God forbid), we also vote him out until we get it right. Thank you. . Thank you for your opinion...It is noted and respected |

This was copied from the Facebook timeline of the author. I am not voting Atiku and these are the reasons. 1. He did not on restructure she he was VP for 8years and he cannot cajole me with it now. 2 He stoke our money with OBJ for 8 years plunging us into eventual recession when Buhari came. 3. He is not an honest Nigerian.... 4. OBJ said the money he stoke at his back is enough for more than 80 Millon's Nigerians to live on.5...He did not create any job fduring his tenure with OBJ. 6. Atiku and OBJ looted our treasury and shared it among their friends..... 7 He is not as honest as Buhari......I will rather vite Buhari than vote Atiku even on my dreams. |

He also accused Obasanjo of being behind the greatest election rigging in the history of the country.
He stated this in his remarks at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Saturday, during the APC presidential campaign rally.
However, while accusing Obasanjo of rigging the election that brought Yar’Adua into power, he also made a gaffe, stating that the election was conducted in 2003, instead of 2007.
His words: “Obasanjo came and we taught them that there is no other way for business evolution and revolution without steady power supply. I introduced independent power generation. What did he do? He and Atiku opposed it. I went to court and Osinbajo was my lawyer. I won in court and we started generating 300MW; the first state to do it. He has not been able to tell us how we can make brake pads, wheel spanner on our own for those vehicles. “Who sent Michelin out of this country? PDP right? Who got rid of Dunlop Manufacturing Company? Who sent Siemens out of this country? They want to take that money and the business of this country, back to their friends in Europe and America again.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, has arrested five suspected Internet fraudsters, and also recovered N31 million from them. Gistvic Reports.
The suspects – Paul Duru, Daniel Effiong, David Gold, Moses Gold and Eke Kelechi, were arrested following a petition received by the EFCC from a new generation bank.
The bank had observed suspicious transactions on an account belonging to Duru, after he received N63 million. He was subsequently arrested by operatives of the EFCC.
His arrest led to the apprehension of the other suspected fraudsters.
Investigations revealed that Duru was hired by Effiong, a “catfisher”, who presented himself as Arbara Williams, a 27-year-old Caucasian.
A “catfisher” is an individual who uses the Internet, and in particular, online dating websites to lure people into romance scam. Duru allegedly had a ‘picker’ in the United States, one John T. Benn, who received money in dollars and sent to him.
On his part, Effiong established a relationship with one Sung Yong Hwa, a Korean and Peter Davito, a Canadian.
The others were arrested for allegedly involving in love scam.

Politics › Re: I’ll Double As President And Sports Minister If … – Omoyele Sowore by ejimatic: 5:50pm On Feb 06, 2019 |
Success100: Sowore spoke to NAN at the 2019 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon where he was a guest on Saturday.
The presidential hopeful said that he would give sports its deserved priority if elected president on the Feb. 16 presidential election.
“I will give sports the needed priority in my government because it gives youths opportunity for interaction not only social but economic. I will be in charge of sports if elected. “It also develops the body physically and mentally.
It is an opportunity for wealth creation in terms of employment generation and also health enhancement. “In terms of sports development, I can say that the country is lagging, we have yet to tap the opportunity that abounds in sport for revenue generation; we need to catch up with others. “Another important thing to note is that only through sports can we actively engage our youths, and I am saying this with all sense of diligence,’’ he said.
Sowore, who claimed to have participated in several marathons across the world, including the 2017 edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, said sports could be used to end insurgency. “In Nigeria, we lack the necessary drive towards encouraging or promoting grassroots development of sports which has greatly affected the youth. “If we channel our sports well enough, maybe those who are engaging in insurgency such as Boko Haram wouldn’t have been in the group. “Year in year out, we spend millions of Naira for security at the expense of developing our youths; there are lots to do in this regard. “I am an advocate of developing a sport culture which is investment in sports that will yield good dividends,’’ he said.
Sowore, the brain behind the news online, Sahara Reporters, said that the recent statistics of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) collected which has 51 per cent of youths was a positive one. “The present pie chart released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that has 51 per cent of youths as registered is a good news. “That means majority of those registered to vote are youths, that says something strong and that is the first time in history. “I want to advise the youth to use that power positively to change their condition this time around. Lots of our youths are absolutely discouraged and have low esteem. “To get them back will require lots of efforts; we record lots of progress in the social media and offline as well. The presidential election result will shock many,’

adebayo3449: Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State on Tuesday closed his defence before the Osun governorship election petition tribunal, sitting at FCT High Court, Apo, Abuja.
The counsel for the governor, John Baiyeshea (SAN), told the three-man tribunal that the second respondent was closing his case.
Baiyeshea said that having reviewed the case, the second respondent found it unnecessary to call further witnesses to prove his case.
“We do not need any more witness to prove our case,’’ he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the governor only called 11 witnesses, including Mr Adelodun Rasaki, the state collation agent for the All Progressives Congress in the election.
However, the counsel to the All Progressives Congress, Mr Yomi Alihu, has told the tribunal that he would open his case on Wednesday.
The tribunal adjourned its sitting till Wednesday, February 6 for APC to open its defence.
NAN also reports that Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party are challenging the declaration of Oyetola as the winner of the September 22 and 27, 2018 election.
They alleged that the election was marred by massive rigging, over voting, vote buying and other forms of electoral malpractice and that it was not conducted in compliance with the law.
The PDP joined INEC, Oyetola and APC in the petition as respondents.

When deciding the tribunal will use electoral laws and 1999 constitution on elections.Till then PDP and APC should continue with their argument against and for on the case.....However final judgement is in Supreme court by August or September this year |
Politics › Re: We Will Get More Endorsements - Obi by ejimatic: 4:37pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
fergie001: Basking in the recent endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and himself as the running mate, by some apex zonal socio-cultural organisations, Mr Peter Obi has said that only those who do not wish Nigeria well would not endorse the PDP.
Obi, who was in Anambra State for a road show around various cities in the state, said recent developments have shown that the present government does not have the capacity to govern Nigeria, just as she has moved to the lowest ebb in all rankings among countries of the world.
He said: “The endorsement is all over now. They are doing it because everyone is seeing the reality. People have seen that the present government doesn’t have the capacity to govern Nigeria. More endorsement will come, because people are not happy with this government. Even you journalists, you are not happy, and I can see it from your faces."
“You too should be a part of this endorsement. We have a country that is collapsing, and it is up to Nigerians to know who to choose. If you think what you are getting in the last three years is okay, then you remain where you are, but I know it is not okay. Our country is now worse."
“The condition of Nigeria should worry everyone. We have a record of insecurity, we have moved from number seven to number three. After Afghanistan, it is Iraq and we are the number three, so it should worry all Nigerians. We now have the highest number of poor people living on the surface of the earth in Nigeria and it should worry all Nigerians.”
Speaking on what he would do differently if elected to power, Obi said what he did in Anambra was enough for anyone to know what he would do.
He insisted that the present government has failed, and that anyone who was happy with the Muhammadu Buhari-led government was not a human being.
He charged the people to come out enmasse and vote for a change of government, saying that the people are more important than the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in deciding the credibility of the forthcoming elections.
“It is not about INEC, it is about the people. If the people say yes to a change of government, definitely they will get it. I have contested election here in Anambra before. INEC did not give it to me, but because the people were behind me, I was able to get it,”

Slynation: PDP needs someone that can battle with Buhari but i still don't know how he managed to pull a large followers in the north even when they languishing in abject poverty...That is why Atiku came in, or can u think of any other candidate who can challenge Buhari from the North?? S.W for 2023 LoL... My bro it means u don't know this Northerners, They ain't much educated but leave politics for them....
Lemme give u an insight of what 2023 may look like, just incase Buhari wins this coming Election... U guys are already saying Buhari will handover to the SouthWest in 2023 abi cool... but what do u think will happen to PDP, they will field a core Northerner as the presidential candidate, All this Northern zombies shouting sai baba today will move over to PDP just so a northerner will be in Power, and by then the Yorubas will be on their own because the northern guys will merge with the Ibos.....!! whichever way, they will still retain power!! . many northerners know it is still theur time to present the President. Kwankanso Digara Saraki Atiku and others knew this and therefore wanted to be president However they were surprised when Buhari declared for second term. That made them decide to go to PDP.Atiku knows he has the last chance now because of his age.He spent huge amount of money to win the ticket..PDP uses a Hausa man now because it is still the turn of Hausa till 2023.if PDP chose a Yoruba man now the party would fail .Now in 2023 I can say authritavely that power must shift to the south.APC will never present a Hausa man then. PDP will present a southerner too. However the candidate that will win in the south must be acceptable to the north. |

Slynation: Yea it has.....!! I don't think anything can be done about it for now because one of the problems we have is the Northern States,They already have this gazetted mindset that they are born to rule and are ever ready to clear all obstacles in their just to achieve victory.... I'm only supporting Atiku simply because i want APC and Buhari out, they failed woefully, non of their promises was achieved...I know Atiku may not be the right man for the job but because he's better than Buhari in all ramifications.... . opinion varies and your choice of candidates is respected....I agree with you that North is bent on ruling.but as from Abiolas case in 98 they knew South must be given a chance for the unity of the country....That made OBJ come in in 1999...Additionally they know it is south again in 2023....Suffice to say that they usually go in the same way.For example South west has 6 state south south has 5 Soujt east has 5. but the entire north has about 17 or 18 and they follow same direction. In the south there are differences. If south west is in APC. south east will be in PDP. south south will be in PDP and APC.This disunity is affecting south unlike the north where they go together for the protection of their interest..... If PDP had changed name and used another candidate may be their come back will be easy. But with same name and same character Feb 16 may be elusive for their dream to become a reality. |

wman: SO what happened when they voted for Jonathan in 2011? . My brother You are following Nigerian politics.I respect you.....The death of Yardua made Jonathan come into the scene. When he contested he was made to realize that he had one only one term to use.for the power to go to the North as arranged. The consensus they reached was that Jonathan should rule with the support of the southwest since he would use only a term.Only Aregbesola of Osun State said PDP would not be allowed to win in Osun because he just became the governor thriough Appeal court judgement in Ibadan. The result was as agreed PDP won presidency in south west except Osun state...That is why when Jonatjan wanted another term the south west with the north ganged up against him. Then Buhari came in.My submission is Jonathan votes in the south west were concesus votes. |

My brother I respect your decision.PDP will have votes in south west but APC will still win massively in all the six south west states.....This the politics we are having in Nigeria. In 1999 AD was in the south west but all the south west states voted OBJ in PDP for presidency.because he is their son.same in 2007.In other elections they voted AD....If south east votes OBI it is because he is their son.I will be honest with you. Here in the south west APC will win massively ...That is Nigerian politics. |

Slynation: This bullshit you people are doing....!! Nigeria will never move forward except people of ur calibre decide & start making use of their number 6, Tribalism has eaten deeply in your heart, so because your tribal man is the VP, All the Yorubas should vote for him even tho it's crystal clear they failed woefully, And yet someone somewhere will say we are one Nigeria... it's a pity!! I am not triblaistic I am only saying what obtains in Nigeria and the way we are running our politics. In 1999 southwest was in AD but because if OBJ they voted PDP for presidency so as to support Obasnjo their son. In other elections they maimed their support for AD.same in 2007.....That is our politics. If south east follows PDP it is because of their son OBI....I will be honest with you. I am very sure that All south west states will vote APC in February.... |
