A research and consulting firm, SnowWhite Consulting, based in the United Kingdom has projected that President Muhammadu Buhari will be victorious in the forthcoming presidential election in the oil-rich Nigeria. This was made known by the Director of Communication and Strategy, Mr. Adeola Jegede at a press release yesterday at its London office.

According to Jegede, “February 16, 2019 is another date with destiny in Nigerian political landscape as various political parties present their candidates as well as manifestoes to the electorates to make rightful choice on who will lead the global most populous black nation for the next four years”.

“The firm observes that the race will be between the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) and the People Democratic Party (PDP) with President Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as their respective candidates”.

Jegede reiterates that the stakes in Nigeria electioneering process are high both locally and internationally, evidenced by powerful voices clamouring for free, fair, transparent and credible electioneering exercise in Nigeria.

The firm’s spokesperson stated that the presidential election results projection is based on various variables that could determine how the electorates tend to cast their votes.

“Our research survey identified among other factors: historical voting pattern, performance of incumbent president, existence of political structure spread, personality of each candidate, availability of sufficient campaign funding, followership’s loyalty, internal party stability and coordination, as well as power of incumbency as part of variables that determine the how Nigeria electorates may cast their ballots. Other considerations are party’s strategy disposition, voting capacity by each state measured by PVC collection rate, and general support base”, he stated.

According to Jegede, the poll survey projects that the total number of votes to be cast on February 16, 2019 presidential election tends to hover around 33.65 million, of which the APC presidential candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, expected to secure around 19.2 million votes representing 58.2% of total ballot cast, while main opposition PDP candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar projected to get up to 13.9 million votes representing 41.3% and the rest would secure just little above half a million votes, accounting for 5% of the likely total vote cast across the country.

ebusnwaoma:
President Buhari who revealed who spoke at Karakanda Stadium in Katsina while rounding off his presidential campaign for Saturday’s election, disclosed that he is seeking reelection because of his pact with the poor.

President Buhari who spoke in Hausa, stated that all his government programmes since he became the President were geared towards uplifting the poor and making their lives comfortable.  The Nigerian President who said he will continue with all the programmes and come up with more innovations that would further alleviate the sufferings of the poor if he was reelected, mentioned the fight against Boko Haram insurgents, the anti-corruption war and promotion of agriculture, particularly the ban on importation of rice as some of his achievements.

“My administration is making concerted efforts to liberate 17 local governments that were before under the Boko Haram insurgents.

“Before our election in 2014, the Boko Haram insurgents were confusing our youths, telling them that they were fighting because of Allah.

“When we were elected, we embarked on enlightenment campaigns preaching to the youths that they were being used to detonate bombs that kill innocent people. Islam does not support the killings of innocent people for no just cause,’’ he said.

. Every Nigeria will decide who to vote for tomorrow. However in contrast to APC. PDP is characterised by stealing and looting of public fund.I have a number of examples to cite on this. In their last Inglorious 16 years reign billions of naira was used to bribe senators to do their will. Our treasury was looted to the last kobo and helicopters were used to distribute money.Ewealla Okonjo said in the News newspaper September 2014 edition that considering the way PDP was looting treasury daily Nigeria would go into recession in 2015.It happened just so...She confirmed it in her. new book too. PDP is a party if unrepentant looters. It is money they are hungry for nothing else.In 2015 dollars belonging to masses were shared throutout tje country because of Jonathan s reelection bid.Regrettably the party said they would make Nigeria work again...Irony!Anybody who says PDP is not a looting party may not be able to identify Jesus or Mohammed if he sees either of them face to face. Not everybody in APC is good .It is not a party of saints but people still have some regard for public fund in the party unlike PDP. However it is your choice to vote as you like but whoever thinks PDP will make Nigeria forward is groping in the darkness of uncertainty.

CLASSIFIED REPORT LEAKED:Apc leads major geopolitical zone as Saraki Lies uncovered

As the race for the presidential election hit up. Many reports of one party who has a better chance of winning in one particular zone across top geopolitical area in Nigeria have been making rounds online.

However, recent reports from Ballard partners, an international company hired by PDP to evaluate and determine pdp chance of winning by asking indigenes in certain areas in the country random question about their view on the current government and the candidate they will most likely vote for in the forthcoming general election shows that the incumbent president has a far better chance of retaining his position as the national Head.

The interview which was carried out in the field between January 3, 2018 and February 2, 2019 shows that Buhari is leading the vote with 9 points (51% / 42%). Undecideds are at
4% and all other will score a total of 3%. This leave Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for pdp and his team with more than enough work to do.

Below is the overall report sent to Bukola Saraki, the People's Democratic party chief host and the senate president of Nigeria.

1.Buhari is leading the vote with 9 points (51% / 42%). Undecideds are at
4% and all other will score a total of 3%. So, Buhari cannot be stopped.

2.Voters generally approve of how Buhari has been handling his job and
have positive view towards him.

3.Voters generally do not like Atiku because
of the corruption issues around him. Poor for Buhari, middle class for Atiku –
but poor are the majority.

4.Many people are disappointed with the choice they have: 19% of PVC
holders said they don’t see the reason to vote.

5.No other candidate is going to get up to 2%.

6.About 87% of APC supporters endorse Buhari, but only 71% of PDP supporters
endorse Atiku.

7.South-South and South-East which were supposed to be the Atiku’s
regional strongholds, are not as much negative towards Buhari as where
expected.

Methodology.

1.Interviews were carried out in the field between January 3, 2018 and February 2, 2019.
Data collection method: face-to-face interviews.

2. Sample size: 12 654 interviews with an average of 342 in each state and FCT.

3.The overall margin of error is ±0.87% at 95% confidence level (±1.1% at 99% confidence level).

4. Sample stratification: 3-level geographical stratification according to the official INEC data of voters distribution with random
selection of households and respondents.

5. In each state not less than 250 respondents were interviewed, afterwards the data were weighted according to the voters
distribution.

6.Dropout of the respondents: only those who have voters card were interviewed.

7.Interviews: native to the state in which they were working or neighboring state with the same dominant language; each one had
two training sessions and test task.

8.Figures may not sum to 100% due to rounding up.

In a swift response on Thursday, Iweala called on the public to disregard the report, branding as 'False and Mischievous'. She wrote;

But why does it have to be like this? This is part of the end reason for our problems
. My brother thank you for your concern...I am only expressing the bitter truth. A closer look at our politics in Nigeria since 1999 indicates that we are indirectly or directly rotating presidency.Obasanjo was brought in to compensate for South west because of Abiolas death.Obasanjo wanted to go for the third term but the north and the senate disagreed. The power went to the north with Musa Yardua and Goodluck..When Yardua died the north was furious because their slot would go back to south south.Gooluck was sworn in. When Goodluck finished Yardua tenure he wanted to contest and was made to sign a pact of only one tenure so as to return the power to the north. After four years Jonathan wanted to recontest The north and the south west ganged up against him. That was the end of Jonathan.Buhari who succeeded him was using the tenure of the north.and it is eight years .No wonder many northerners wanted to contest for presidency in the north before Atiku won the ticket.... So anybody who is contesting now in the south west or south east is just a political comedian or image seeker because it is the north that still has the four years left after which the power will shift to the south. In the north the two major contestants are Buhari and Atiku. They are two that are mainly on ground in the region..

A good look at how Buhari will lose Saturday’s election
Umar Sa'ad Hassan in Viewpoint

INEC has put the final number of registered voters for the 2019 general election at 84 million with the North West leading the pack as usual with 20.2 million, followed by the South West with 16.3 million registered voters.

The thumb-print columns on the ballot-papers have been compressed further by INEC to accommodate the very many parties duly registered and what that means in essence, is that there will be many more invalid votes than usual. We may witness a very high rate of rerun elections this year.

Considering previous election turn-out, voter enthusiasm and current political climate in the 36 states, this is what is expected to happen in this Saturday’s Presidential election subject to it being free and fair.

NORTH-WEST

President Buhari will clinch the majority of votes in this region.Atiku will take it down to the wire in Kaduna. Asides the secured votes in the Christian-dominated southern part of the state, he will also grab a handful in other places due to the quite decent PDP structure on ground. While Kano ranks alongside Kebbi and Katsina as states Buhari is guaranteed a clear win, Atiku should get close to 30% of the votes cast due to the Kwankwasiyya machinery working in his favour. Despite the killings in Zamfara, Buhari will surprise many by pulling more than half of the probable 600,000 votes on Saturday. The PDP is totally in control of neighbouring Sokoto state however and Atiku will conveniently pull about 500,000 of the 800,000 votes likely to be cast.

The under-whelming performance of the incumbent Jigawa state governor has allowed Sule Lamido and the PDP to endear themselves to the people and though this is highly debatable, Atiku will win Jigawa narrowly.

Verdict: Buhari 6m, Atiku 3.7m

SOUTH-WEST

The South-Western electorate is the most liberal and open-minded in Nigeria. Whether we like it or not, we have not out-grown politics of ethnicity and religion. The major thing Buhari has going for him in the core northern states is an unerasable belief that he is a honourable man while every other person, being Muslim regardless, is a ‘worldly’ fellow.

The South West have no such problem. Tinubu has lost some degree of respect outside Lagos and the APC can no longer bank on his influence across the whole region. It will be a close contest in most of the states except of course Lagos; the capital of Tinubu’s crumbling empire where Buhari should enjoy a comfortable victory. The APC presidential campaign team were stoned in Ogun just days ago. With Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Kashamu Buruji and none other than President Obasanjo all working for an Atiku victory, it is already in the bag. The PDP will win Ekiti, Osun and Ondo by slim margins but feelers indicate they will lose Gov. Ajimobi’s Oyo state.

After all said and done in the South West, the PDP are likely to get about 3 million votes in total while the APC should get about 500,000 less.

Verdict: Atiku 3m, Buhari 2.5m

NORTH-EAST

The average person in Yobe, Borno and Adamawa doesn’t care whether or not the Buhari government has entered into an agreement with Boko Haram to release school girls or cease activities for a while, they just know the insurgents haven’t been half as active as they were before President Buhari came into office. Add the fact that there is virtually no PDP structure in Borno and Yobe and you have why Buhari should take home roughly 400,000 votes of the total number of 600,000 votes in Borno and more than half of the 500,000 votes in Yobe. The APC has a formidable structure in Atiku’s home state of Adamawa with almost all the relevant political figures united in their love for Buhari. Of the 700,000 votes expected to be cast, Buhari should win by a margin of about 100,000. Everyone expects Atiku to win Gombe because of the strong PDP presence there but Buhari is still very much loved by the masses there and he should win. Bauchi has the largest number of voters in the North East and in addition to the people being dissatisfied with the state governor’s performance, they are also the most enlightened in the region. They understand fully well that the question at this juncture is whether or not Nigerians deserve better. The state has a history of impressive voter turn-out and we may just see half of the registered 2 million plus voters cast their ballot. Of that million, Atiku’s victory should be by a margin of about roughly 200,000.The biggest Atiku margin in this region should come from Taraba. The former Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Jummai Alhassan, was the APC in the state and she migrated with all the party excos in the 169 wards in the state to the UDP. She is the first minister in recent memory to openly endorse her President’s rival before vacating office when she said she was for Atiku in 2019. It would surprise a lot of people if Buhari gets more than 100,000 of the likely 600,000 expected to turn up.

Verdict: Buhari 2.3m, Atiku 1.5m

SOUTH-EAST

The APC has tried gaining a foothold in the South South and South East by enlisting some big names in the region but it really won’t count. These people were always going to vote against a man who promised delivering dividends according to how he was voted after his last victory. Talk more one who has performed worse than any President we have ever had.

The Vice-Presidential candidate of the PDP, Peter Obi is an Ibo and at the very least, 5 million of the 10 million registered voters in the South East are expected to cast their votes this weekend. Of that 5 million, it would take a miracle for Buhari to get 400,000 votes.

Verdict: Atiku 4.7m, Buhari 300,000

SOUTH-SOUTH

Despite the APC having presence in some South South states notably Rotimi Amaechi’s Rivers and Senator Godswill Akpabio’s Akwa Ibom, Atiku is expected to get about a million votes while his opponent will struggle to get past the 100,000 mark and in Akwa Ibom, the PDP should conveniently secure above 900,000 of the about 1 million expected to be cast.

Verdict: Atiku 6.6m, Buhari 400,000

NORTH-CENTRAL

The North-Central has the 3rd largest voters registered and it is more or less the region that erases all doubts as to an Atiku victory in a free and fair contest. Of the over 1.6 million registered voters in Kogi, 600,000 are expected to turn out and more than half of that number will vote the PDP. Adducable to not just Buhari’s non-performance but the unpopularity of Gov. Yahaya Bello outside his Ebira tribe in Kogi state. Plateau is expected to hand over 800,000 of about 1 million votes cast on Saturday to Atiku and about 500,000 of the 600,000 likely to vote in Benue will do so for Atiku as well. The state underwent its worst security crisis in recent memory under President Buhari and his administration has been widely accused of being insensitive to their predicament. Nasarawa has about 1.6 million registered voters and about half that numbers are expected to turn out. It will be tight but the PDP should win it by a narrow margin. About 600,000 voters are likely to turn out on election day based on antecedents in Senate President Bukola Saraki’s Kwara state and the PDP are expected to win it by a 50,000-100,000 margin. Niger is really close and could go to any of the 2 parties but it appears the APC will clinch majority of the 700,000 votes cast on that day.

you are really a great patriot but I must say, with just 4years of rule, APC has sent us beyond 6years backward in life and creation of mass poverty, making Nigeria ranking up in the list of African countries with high poverty rate. what do you think will happen in the next 4years. The PDP lead governance was not perfect, but the last six years of rule changed the country look and stand on economic development until people who chant for change and wailed that buhari should send us back to stone age made it possible to have elect a dullard for president with the mind that a Prof. is a running mate the country would be better with them. The funny thing now is that the herds back then in 2015 were not properly feed through to 2019 and hunger has stiff their lips from wailing. see you at the poll, I take no nonsense for incompetency.

The All Progressives Congress has taken its presidential campaign rally to Abuja.

The rally which is taking place at the Eagles Square has the FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha in attendance.

Others in attendance were the APC Women Leader, (Hajia) Salamatu Umar-Eluma and the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, among others.
The National leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, were, however, absent.

With just three days to the elections, political parties have intensified campaigns even as they are expected to end by at least 24 hours to the dee-day.

A member of the ruling party, Jack Obinyan has taken to his page to express joy at the new look of Ore to Ijebu highway. According to him, "This is the current look from Ore to Ijebu-Ode on Benin to Sagamu Federal Highway".

Ore to Ijebu-Ore has been a sort of death trap to all motorists in that area but thankfully, this has been sorted out.

. I am not campaigning but I will say what I saw.No apology to anybody. 16 years of PDP in Nigeria was a waste....Instead of working. they were sharing our money all over the country. Biilons of. Naira....money they even shared in 2015 was enough for us to live well...Diezani is still a fugitive.....Fayose is till in court.....and so on.....They are now saying they can make Nigeria work again. The one they made a toddler for 16 years! Is this road not good now? God will punish all those who have been stealing our money.

@POLITICSNGR

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the All Progressives Congress, APC has been dragged to court by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP over the alleged participation of Foreigners in Nigeria's Elections.

This suit is coming shortly after the participation of governors from Niger Republic at a rally of the APC in Kano state recently.

The PDP also joined in the suit as first and third defendants are the Nigerian Immigration Service and the minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau.

The party is asking the court to determine whether foreigners can participate either directly or indirectly in the general elections in Nigeria with regards to the provision of section 12 of the electoral Act 2010 and paragraph 2 of the 2019 INEC regulations and guidelines.

It also demanded to know whether it is contrary to Nigerian law and public policy for foreigners to participate in the campaign rally of a Nigerian political party. The opposition party is requesting for the court to declare that foreigners cannot participate either directly or indirectly in the general elections of Nigeria with regard to the provision of section 12 of the electoral act 2010.

The PDP also wants the court to issue an order directing the Nigerian Immigration Service and the minister of interior to ensure that foreigners do not participate in the 2019 general elections.

PoliticsNGR has copies of the Suit. See Below;

* Buhari has forged WAEC certificate on 2 different occasions; in 2015 and 2018, and there are no calls for buhari's resignation. Yet buhari says he is fighting corruption. Is forgery not a crime? Is forgery not corruption? Why are there no calls for buhari's resignation?
* Buhari lied under Oath that his Certificate was with Military Board, which the Military denied and There was no call for Buhari to Resign and Buhari says he is fighting corruption.
* Buhari claimed to have sat for the Cambridge Syndicate Exams in 1961 and in 2018 Buhari turned round to Present an Attestation certificate for another Exam body WAEC that has no relationship with Cambridge. Yet no one called for Buhari to Resign and Buhari says he is fighting corruption.
* Till this day Buhari has Presented NO WAEC Certificate to INEC, even after receiving an Attestation, and his supporters find nothing wrong with that or .......the Mobs calling for CJN’s resignation. ....and Buhari says he is fighting cortuption.
. Your opinion is respected..I not a politician. But please note that the president is covered by the immunity clause in the constitution. Same Fayose enjoyed. Ganduje is enjoying it too.I think it is there to protect sanctity of their officesAll pending issues will be resolved later as it happened to Fayose. Additionally n my opinion corruption crisis is more in PDP than APC because PDP had access to money for16. years.... They were just embezzling it as they liked....Some of them that are in APC will be flushed out too very soon.Finally. no perfect government but I think The Buhari administration still is trying on its fight against corruption that has become a gangrene in Nigeria's society.

Ecstasy154:
By Dapo Akinrefon

LAGOS—NATIONAL Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said, contrary to the insinuations being peddled in some quarters, that he remains in the party and has no plans to leave it for any other.

A video where Asiwaju Tinubu, at the APC Presidential Campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State, was seen throwing the party’s flag to National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole to give to the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, was being framed by opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to mean that he was throwing away the party’s flag.

In a statement by his Special Adviser, Media, Tunde Rahman, the APC leader denied throwing away the party’s flag as being insinuated by PDP.

The statement reads: “If you want to fault Asiwaju for anything in this matter, your critique can only be limited to the accuracy of his toss. Any attempt to enlarge the episode beyond this is fiction and mischief writ large.

“The true incident that should be reported and condemned is that people who furtively oppose the party and the president tried to infiltrate and disrupt this rally. The attack by these operatives was disrespectful of the office of the president and could have potentially harmed the person of the president.

“With, but a few precious days until the election and with its chance of victory running out even faster than the time, the Peoples Democratic Party now grasps at the most nonsensical and desperate tactics to salvage its falling enterprise. However, a drowning man cannot toss himself a lifeline. Nor can the PDP succeed in turning the innocuous attempted exchange of a flag between the National Leader and National Chairman into a rift in the APC’s successful campaign.

“An incident did actually occur at the Ogun State APC rally but it is not the one PDP has concocted. The true incident that should be reported and condemned is that people, who furtively oppose the party and the president, tried to infiltrate and disrupt this rally. The attack by these operatives was disrespectful of the office of the president and could have potentially harmed the person of the president.

“Such antics have no place in our political discourse. The author of these misdeeds should desist before real harm is done. Now, to the crux of the opposition’s latest antics. If the issue of the flag has become the hotspot of the PDP campaign, then they are in serious trouble.

“During that portion of the Ogun rally, the National Chairman and others were looking for a party flag. Asiwaju Tinubu spotted one within his reach. He picked it up and attempted to toss it to Chairman Oshiomhole so that the Chairman could present it to the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun. If you want to fault Asiwaju for anything in this matter, your critique can only be limited to the accuracy of his toss. Any attempt to enlarge the episode beyond this is fiction and mischief writ large.

“As the National Leader, Asiwaju Tinubu is thoroughly faithful and committed to the APC, It is unthinkable that he would leave the party.

“Moreover, there is no reason for him to do so. He has been hard at work for the victory of the APC and all of its candidates in the upcoming election.

“Asiwaju understands the bigger picture. He knows what is at stake in this election. Either the nation moves forward along the progressive path of the APC or it will be forced to retreat into the ills of the past created by the PDP. With the nation’s future hanging in the balance, Asiwaju will not allow himself to be deterred by petty mischief.

“Those spinning this matter should make better use of their imaginations. Asiwaju is not going anywhere. He remains gidigba (solid) in APC. And after the election, he will be there celebrating the APC’s and this nation’s victory over those who would prevent us of our rightful future.”
