PoliticsRe: I Won Presidential Election With 8.7 Million Votes – Peter Obi Insists In Appeal by ejimatic: 2:28pm On Sep 20, 2023
ojoadeola:
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, in his appeal to the Supreme Court, has said he got 8.7 million votes in the 2023 presidential election, insisting that he won the election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Obi is seeking nullification of the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which upheld the victory of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25 presidential election.

In a 51-ground appeal filed by his lawyers on Tuesday, Obi argued that the PEPC erred in law by dismissing his petition, which challenged the outcome of the election on the grounds of alleged overvoting and non-compliance with the Electoral Act.

Obi’s lawyers also argued that the PEPC erred in refusing to rely on the evidence of 18,088 blurred polling unit results uploaded by INEC staff to its public viewing portal. They said the blurred results formed part of the certified copies issued to them by INEC and should have been considered by the PEPC.

The appeal partly read, “Take notice that the Appellants being dissatisfied with the decisions in PETITION NO: CA/PEPC/03/2023 MR. PETER GREGORY OBI & ANOR. v. INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION & ORS. (consolidated with Election Petition Nos: CA/PEPC/04/2023 and CA/PEPC/05/2023), contained in pages 3-327 of the Judgment of the Court of Appeal sitting as the Presidential Election Petition Court, Holden at Abuja, Coram: H. S. Tsammani, Stephen Jonah Adah, Misitura Omodere Bolaji-Yusuff, Boloukuroma Moses Ugo and Abba Bello Mohammed, JJ.C.A. (“the Court below”) delivered on the 6th day of September 2023, and more particularly stated in paragraph 2 of this Notice of Appeal, do hereby appeal to the Supreme Court on the Grounds set out in Paragraph 3 and will at the hearing of the appeal seek the Reliefs sought in paragraph 4 herein.”

How did he get 8m in the election?
What is the breakdown state by state? Where is the table of the results he relied on?
What is the postion of the SC on IREV results?

Have I not devalued his petition to again even in my comment?

My advice is when they are coming for judgement they should come to with pillows to sleep and kolanut or bitter kola to chew well.

Another effort in futility

. That is a lie sir. The North made you president in order to pacifiy the SW over the death of Abiola MKO.
The North wanted someone who would return the power to the North .Obasanjo did so in 1979 when he gave power to Shagari at the expense of Awolowo. He did not even support Awolowo then That is why the North preferred him to Falae. Olu
Did Obasanjo disappoint the North? No
He handed over to Yarhadua in the North.
The SE should learn how politics is practiced in Nigeria. The earlier the better for the region!

Efforts in futility as usual. I don't know the rationale behind all these brouhaha that peter Obi is doing. Maybe the man is truly lacked in intelligence capacity. It's crystal clear that he lost woefully in 12 northern muslim states. With that, kogi and Kwara are not inclusive which make it 14 states. He also lost in 5 south west states and everyone knows if u lose all these states, it's not possible to win the general election. Maybe he thought the south east and south south states with fragments of few states from North and Lagos could give him the mandate. May we not labour know vain. His advisers are just wasting his tizNow me. Nothing can come out of this facade again.
It is a wasre of time to talk about Obi and his Obedients. They will never listen .If you tell them the truth they will take you as an enemy. When they were carrying TV to the PEPT. I warned them . I warned them that. all their cases before the. AC would end in futility. Now they are in SC .All their isssues will be reduced to 4 or 5 by the court .The SC has no time for the frivolities iin litigation.
The judgement?? BAT victory will be confirmed again

You cannot poorly execute a case at the AP only to come and represent it at the SC.

Hmm Lp campaign Spokesman speaking here. Very deep here. Meanwhile, The electoral act we passed says that INEC officer MUST snap the result at the polling unit and transfer or transmit to the IREV. And if there is any difference between the transferred result and the physical one, the IREV result is more authentic and is to be used. ~Ex Senate President Ahmed Lawan!!

The SC of the Land has ruled that results declared at the polling units are more reliable than IREV results Adeleke vrs 0yetoka2023
Additionally constitution supercedes what we have on the electoral laws. INEC is not bound by the constitution to upload the results.
By the way where has the actor lawyer been since? I was looking for him among the kolanut eaters during the AC judgement.
He will eat his bitter kola too when the SC jettisions their fresh appeals on the BAT victory.

Twenty-two women have served as president in African nations except Nigeria. Is there any hope for Nigeria to have a female president?
. No! It is against the ethics of Islam that Iwe should have a woman leading when there are men.
Olubunmi Ete was the first female speaker in Nigeria but the Northern caucus led by Faroulk Lawa removed hier with Ethe Gate .

The North will never ever vote a lady or a woman as the President of Nigeria.
Never ever!

He never said they should stand up to greet him.He told them that our culture should be respected . He told them to stand to listen to him. He condemned a situation where traditional rulers would stand up for governor and president. He even went as far as saying he prostrated for them as the president.

Where did he say stand up abd greet me in the video?

I watched the program online from the beginning to the end.

Yesterday, Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar had also demanded some explanation from the Presidential Election Petitions Court, surrounding the header on the Certified True Copies of the Judgement.

Speaking through his aide, Phrank Shaibu, the former Vice President inquired to know why Tinubu Presidential Legal Team (TPLT) are been accorded special privileges.

Abubakar's enquiry came hours after a member of the TPLT, Babatunde Ogala SAN offered some clarification.

Nemere2020:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDmX20MK4EU?si=x-HWnCMZY1D3j_Bs

I shall randomly pick up the results of some States of the Federation.

First I take Abia State, there the alleged 2nd respondent (Tinubu), the alleged favoured Candidate of INEC only gathered a miserly 8,914 votes against LP who scored 327,095 votes and PDP scored 22,676 votes and was recorded by INEC. Those votes were almost three times the number of votes of 2nd respondent for whom the petitioners INEC purportedly shut down the IReV on behalf of.

In Enugu State, the also "favoured" Candidate of INEC, as alleged by the petitioners, was credited by INEC to have scored only 4,772 votes in the entire State, while the LP was credited by the "manipulative and unfriendly
INEC" according to them to have scored 428,690 votes, the PDP 15,745 votes. The LP's vote is also almost 3 times the number of the so-called INEC's "favoured" 2nd respondent.

The 1st petitioner also won big in Anambra, the home State of 2nd respondent where he once held sway (Lagos) and even the Headquarters of the 1st respondent (INEC), the 2nd respondent could not even make 25%.

If all these results declared by INEC for each of the states for the two sets of petitioners and 2nd respondent is anything to go by, then INEC must be an ‘abysmally poor manipulator’ or even an 'imbecilic one.'
iNEC could not manipulate SE and Lagos results but could manipulate Rivers ,Osun Oyo etc in the South and the North results.

INEC indeed is a poor" manipulator '
The judge here made a laughing stock of the LP and Obi

Poor cases ,poor lawyers, and poor execution?
