Islie:. He is politically irrelevant in Osun. He will soon be removed as Minister and returned to his business. No mercy for the man who made OSUN workers suffer btween 2014 and 2018. |
The Osun Progressives, a faction of the All Progressives Congress loyal to the Minister of Interior Affairs, Rauf Aregbesola, has broken silence on the Osun State Governorship election holding Saturday. The TOP’s position was contained in a post shared by a former commissioner in the state, Sikiru Ayedun, on Friday. The group reiterated that it remains a part of the APC despite alleged maltreatment of its members by the Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration. Earlier, there had been speculation that TOP may work for the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke, in the election: The PUNCH had reported that 15 political parties are participating in the election, while 1,955,657 registered voters will decide the fate of the candidates. The Independent National Electoral Commission had also said the election would take place in 332 registration areas across the 30 local government areas of the state. Though, 15 political parties would be participating in the election, the too contenders are the candidate of APC, Oyetola and the candidate of the PDP, Adeleke. https://punchng.com/oyetola-vs-adeleke-aregbesolas-faction-declares-stand/
Aregbesola and his cohorts.... irrelevant in Osun politics. With or without them APC will win |
engineerboat:. Today the following governors will emerge: 1. Abere Governor APC. 2. Internet governor 3 Community Governor. 4 Neighbourhood governor 5. Register Governor .... |
atiku07:. Exactly sir |
Bash92:. Your predictions are resoectec but I want to say that 2018 when Aregbesola fumbled and workers were angry affecting the election results is not 2022. The workers are with him now,! It may not be as you think. |
sunnewsonline.comJul 15, 2022 5 The former governor of Osun State and Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has remained silent over who to support in Saturday’s governorship election. Aregbesola had been with the splinter group that produced the former Secretary to the State Government, Moshood Adeoti, as the factional governorship candidate. Adeoti had gone to seek Oyetola’s disqualification as the APC flag bearer but the court on Thursday dismissed the suit, saying it is an abuse of the court process. He has, therefore, appealed the judgment saying the judgement can not stand the test of time. Till now, Aregbesola has refused to comment on his stand in the election and he did not appear in any of the campaigns for Oyetola. Also, some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are standing aloof on whether to direct their supporters to vote for Senator Ademola Adeleke or not. The former governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who in an apparent reluctant manner attended the grand finale campaign of the PDP, has refused to comment Oyinlola was at loggerheads with the family of Adeleke before the primary election and the people of Odo-Otin local government in Okuku where Oyinlola hailed from, prevented PDP from taking the campaign to the area in apparent solidarity for Oyinlola over the alleged attack on him by Adeleke’s allies sometimes ago. He was begged by the Vice presidential candidate of PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa, Duoye Diri of Bayelsa, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and other leaders of the party a day before the grand finale campaign but his countenance does not show that he has returned to Adeleke’s fold fully. The factional governorship candidate of PDP, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, BoT members, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and Senator Olu Alabi, former National Vice Chairman (South West), Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, has not spoken on where they will direct their supporters to. |
Fira09:. When are going to vote in Nigeria without the presence of soldiers and police officers? Will this election not be militarised? |
politicoNG:A waste of time! Will judiciary prepare the salary by themselves? An effort in futility |
Fira09:. My predictions are as follows:. Ife Central APC. Ife East APC Ife North APC. Ife South APC. Ikesa West APC. Ilesa East APC IAtakumosa West APC Atakumosa East APC. Oriade PDP Ibokun PDP. Ejigbo APC Iwo APC Ila APC Odo Otin APC Osogbo APC OlorundaAPC EdeNorth PDP EdeSiuth PDP. Boripe PDP Ifelodun APC Ayedade APC OROLU APC IrewoleAPC etc In some local governments it may be keen but APC will still win there! |
Fira09:This is an unbiased report! Is it not true. 1 that some of the faction members of the PDP did not attend the rally yesterday apart from Oyinlola? 2 that Tinubu did not meet with South West Obas in Osogbo on Tuesday? 3 That APC mends more fences than the PDP to unite warring parties? 4 that unlike 2018 workers are supporting Oyetola now?5 that it is a battle btwn APC and PDP and APC is favoured to win? 6 that Oyetola looks more Isalmic than Adeleke? 7 that with 125000 voites in his credit in 2018 ,Omisore is a stakeholder in the election? 8 that Tinubu project will be a factor in the election tomorrow? The stage is set for tomorrow. I forsee AP wining the election. |
Fira09:Yes it is a political calculation which some people do not seem to understand at all. |
SATANICALLY:. APC : PDP is worse PDP :. APC is bad. LP: PDP and APC must go finally SDP:. All others parties are misfits ACCORD : Our party is the hope of Nigerians. Politicians bare chameleons looking for their daily bread at the expense if the masses. |
Odewaleadesoye:Let see what the Appeal Court will say on it. 2 Like Funke Akindele ,he may be given a state pardon after some time. They know how they play their games in Lagos.. |
sarrki:Street Credibility! |
SATANICALLY666:He is in Osogbo now campaigning live for Oyetola. |
Gistsme1:I said it in the morning! As your lordship pleases! |
Penguin2:is being a committee member a substansive executive positiion? Let await the ruling soon! |
press9jatv:He is a sub committe member not a member of NWC. A subcommittee member is not an executive office. A similar case if I am not mistaken has been decided in favour of the APC Buni NWC. This case is just a waste of time and an academic exercise and will be decided in favour of the respondent, Oyetola. garfield1 vicdom kahal29 penguin2 indispensable85 Ojuntana Mynd44 |
Pogba12:. The politics of the North is as deep as a borehole. They argue and they disagree yet everything is how they arranged it. Whoever says the core north knows nothing about the choice of Shetima is deceiving himself and groping in the darkness. |

ryloy:. Massive ? This is a structured party indeed! |
hisexcellency34:. The farmer old cargo made an attempt then to run for the third term but the House rejected the satanic move. Wagbara and many others defended our democracy then. Ungrateful and insatiate politicians abound in our land! |
oshozondii:. Where is Wike? |
Latestreport1:They are even thoughless! Funke Akindele? By 2023 they will know again that KESARI by Itele the Icon sold more than Omo Geto by Akindele. Funke! A political toddler against the Giants of Lagos. We shall see |
fergie001:. I am a Christian but I have never criticized Buhari on his lopsided appointments in public but I have reservations about them. The reason is that PBM is using the slot of the North. It will end soon. SW will use its turn! When OBJ was there he was subservient to the North because they made him president. What did he do to change the status cope? North is a phenomenum in Nigeria! Anybody who wants to rule in Nigeria and do so successfully must give them attention.Do we have religious crisis in the SW? No! We serve our God whether Muslims or christians. But it is not so in the north! Three is no way christians can be a strong force in the North! People shiukd not use religion to divide us in the SW. Let us support BAT so we can use our slot till 2031. |
fergie001:The Northern politics is very delicate and it requires expertise. It seems BAT understands it and it informed his decision on VP selection. If BAT a minority Muslim from the South chosses a Christian minority in the North he will never smell presidency in 2023. The North will not support him. In fact from Ganduje words Muslim VP from the North is the preference of the North. How many chritains in the North will even vote in 2023? Since the selection of the northern moslem tension had been created in the opposition camp now. BAT got their plans and thought ahead of them. In my opinion there is no religious crisis in the SW .Even if BAT chosses a traditional religion wirshiper the region will not play with 2023! Why the noise of moslem -moslem ticket? I expect Babachi Lawal to talk about Atiku chosen by PDP as a candidate. Will South serve Hausa Fulani till 2023 and continue to serve another Hausa Fulani again? Yet PDP dared the SW.Is that not what we should be talking about? BAT has made his choice and I believe it is the best! As for the threat of Islamization of Nigeria it is not possible at all. The only thing that can make Nigeria to be an Islamic nation is if Saudi Arabia and Kuwait can be christian nations! Is that possible ? No Never! The SW is ready to make sacrifices in order to end Hausa Fulani reign from the north 2031. One if the sacrifices is to support BAT regardless of his choice of VP |
fergie001:. No provision for Independent candidacy in Nigerian constitution! If there is Osinbajo will knock his head against the wall again if he contest. again. |
JEWELofHELL: |
BigSarah:I am a Christian and I see nothing bad in the BAT choice of Shetima. Many people dont understand Nigerian politics. PMB is from the NW and the region is in the hand of APC. BAT is assured of victory there. The focus now is NE to divide Atikus votes. If Tinubu chooses a Christian there he will never win the 2023 election.Who is the christian that the Nothern Muslims will follow with their massive votes? They even call South Muslims Kafil moslems! How will somebody from a minority Muslim community in the South as President pick another person from the minority christians in the North as his VP? Why did Atiku go to the SS for his VP? He knows SW is for BAT and he wants to look for block votes there. The beat thing fir theAPC is to go to the NE and divide thier votes there.NW is in the hand of BAT already. South West must put sentiments aside and continue to support BAT or else we will be slaves of the north for another 8 years. With our experiences in the SW we cannot afford to waste our chance to rule again in 2023! |
TundeBricklayer:E Rufai came! Kwara gov came later |
blamingthedevil:. The crowd I saw today is massively overwhelming! I think is all about BAT South West project. |
