Troublemaker111: Until after the election you will know how important is Aregbe in osun politics . Apc will lose woefully in ijesa axis . I laugh at you when you said pdp will only win Ede north and south in osun west Do you know why APC saw Hell in Ilesa in 2018? It was the inglorious second term of Aregbesola....The Ijesas and Osun hated him with pasion when they found out the wickedness in him on labour matters. This year's is different.I expect a better results now for the APC in Ikesa. With the speaker coming from there except Oriade and Ibokun known for PDP since because of the love they have for Wole Oke. |
Politics › Re: Permutation For Upcoming Osun Governorship Election by ejimatic: 6:39pm On Jul 03, 2022 |
Troublemaker111: Osun is divided to three senatorial district, with osun east( Omisore zone) having the highest voting power, followed by osun west(Adeleke zone), then osun central (Oyetola zone). 1. Osogbo lg: This is the state capital of Osun . This is largest local government in osun state with the highest voting population except if voters registration says otherwise. Apc always win here since Aregbesola inception. In 2018 Apc got 23378 votes while pdp 14499. I think many things has changed in osogbo politics they seems not to like Oyetola style of ruling. I see pdp doing more better here than 2018 as is very near to Adeleke's home town . Apc wins
2.Ife south: This is lg outside of ife town . The national Secretary of Apc late father is a king in ifewara. So he got many influence in this lg. This lg is full of settlements so it very easy to influence voters here . Apc remain a strong party here. Infact when Omisore was vying to be governor he do struggle there. In 2018 Apc won polled 7223, pdp = 4872 , Sdp = 6151. Now it very obvious Omisore influence here can never be overlook. He contested in 2018 under Sdp and he polled more votes than pdp tho lost to Apc . Apc will win here with an audacious margin . Apc
3.Ife north:Also lg outskirt of Ife. Many towns dominate this lg , commonly referred to as Orígbó méjèje which comprises of town such as Moro, ipetumodu, Edunabon etc. Apc TOP members are very active here, they already vow not to work for the governor . Infact they believed this is their opportunity to kick him out of office .In 2018 Apc =6527 pdp =5486 sdp=5158. When Omisore was on ballot Apc still did well here and won the lg tho it's based on Aregbesola influence here . But now the table had changed , pdp should win this lg narrowly this time , Apc top members will show their capabilities here. Pdp
4. Ife East:Here comes Omisore lg. This lg extend to Modakeke where the Area office is situated. This lg will deliver be deliver to Apc . Infact Omisore polling unit in yemoo will massacre pdp . However the Modakeke people are lovers of Aregbesola. Top members are very much active . Pdp will do well also but they can't win this lg even tho Adeleke deputy is from ife . In 2018 Apc = 8925 pdp = 6608 sdp= 17643. Omisore won in 2018 with an audacious margin . Pdp will do a lot better here tho. Apc
5.Ife central lg:Here come the individual biggest local govt in osun state apart from osogbo . It has a very high voting strength and this is where pdp supporters will targeting inorder to limit Omisore influence in ife axis. Pdp chieftain such as Wale Ladipo might little frustrate Omisore here . Also lawmaker representing ide federal constituency will make so much influence here . In 2018 Apc= 6957 pdp =3200 sdp= 20498. Omisore also won with very high margin . Ife is naturally pro pdp but in 2018 their son is on ballot and that's why pdp lost it precious lg. Adeleke deputy is from ife and many are supporting him . Mind you in 2018 his deputy is also from ife but I must say Adeleke made a mistake choosing that old baba , he got no electoral value infact ife people hate him . TOP members are also active here . Both parties will do very well in this lg . Infact both will have to spend high for the voters to have their votes. Close to call but pdp should win .
To be continue . My permutation is as follows:. Osun West :. Ede North and Ede South PDP. Others APC Osun Central: Osogbo Olorunda Ila, Ikirun Iragbiji etc APC. Osun East : Ife Central East North and South APC Atakumosa West and East APC. Ilesa West APC Oriade PDP Ibokun. PDP Factors that will contribute to APC victory are: 1. Omisore factor ..He is a decider in the election. 2. Workes love Oyetola 3 Osogbo /Edeland face off. Osogbo will prefer a person from their zone to continue for now..4 Aversion that workers had for Aregbesola as a build up to 2/18 election is still there for him. He still has no relevance in Osun politics for now 5 Influence of Baba Akande in Ila Orangun....A Federal instititution is their now. 6 Iwo will not lose the opportunity to show appreciation for the new Federal school in the town. 7 Ijesas have STATE UNIVERSITY NOW......A LOT MORE... |

*ENGLISH LANGUAGE. *ENGLISH EDUCATION *MASS COMMUNICATION *POLITICAL SCIENCE *SOCIOLOGY *PSYCHOLOGY *INTERNATIONAL RELATION AND PUBLIC MANAGEMENT *HISTORY AND STRATEGIC STUDIES

You can use it in administration and journalism too. English language has wider opportunities. |
Politics › Re: Copy Of Tinubu's University And NYSC Certificate And Testimonial From University by ejimatic: 11:02am On Jul 01, 2022 |
Lanrelagboi: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Friday, published the particulars of candidates for the 2023 general elections.
The publication has been followed by animated discussions among Nigerians on social media on the academic credentials of some of the presidential candidates
In the front burner of the discussions are questions around why the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, provided no information on his primary and secondary education.
Stating his occupation as “POLITICIAN,” the 70 years old APC National Leader claimed he obtained a B.Sc degree in Business and Administration from Chicago State University on June 22, 1979 before participating in the compulsory national youth service from November 12, 1982.
Although not seen by PREMIUM TIMES among Mr Tinubu’s published particulars at the INEC office, he swore to an affidavit that his certificates are missing.
“I went on self-exile from October 1994 to October 1998. When I returned I discovered that all my property, including all the documents relating to my qualifications and my certificates in respect of paragraph three above, were looted by unknown persons.
“My house was a target of series of searches by various security agents from the time the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was forced to adjourn following the military takeover of government of 17th November 1993,” the two-term former governor of Lagos State claimed in the court affidavit.
Some Nigerians want to know more about Mr Tinubu’s past than what he revealed to INEC.
Similar concerns were raised over his background when he contested for governor in 1999 and 2003. The late human rights lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi filed a suit asking the courts to compel the police to prosecute Mr Tinubu for perjury and forgery after a petition accused him of those offences in his filings with INEC in 1999.
After the Supreme Court dismissed the suit on the ground that Mr Tinubu had immunity as governor against being prosecuted in court, the Lagos State House of Assembly investigated the matter and absolved Mr Tinubu of the charge of gross misconduct.
Mr Tinubu is considered by many political commentators as the candidate to beat in the 2023 presidential race, the reason for the intense public attention on his candidature.
The former Lagos governor’s spokesperson, Tunde Rahman, did not respond to calls to his phone lines at the time of filing this report when this reporter tried to seek further clarifications on the issue.

Abiola won in 93 because he won states in the SE/SS.Without votes from this two regions abiola would never have won in 93.
Tinubu would lose woefully in the SS/SE/North . By classification we use North and South even when each has three regions. North represented by NW is rouding off now.SW will take over. After 8 years it goes to the North again .Then NE and NC can contest and reach out to the NW. Additionally the North is more comfortable with the SW than SE! That is why the odd favours the SW. |

fergie001: You are reiterating what I said... I agree. The Police is Constitutionally empowered to investigate any crime(s) whether or whether not the State House of Assembly is on it.
This is very untrue. The Supreme Court of Nigeria have never heard a case against Tinubu wrt the issue at hand. He was joined in the suit and the particulars of the Certificate was not the subject matter in Court.
The celebrated case here is Gani Fawehinmi v IGP, not even Tinubu. Permit me to go down memory lane.....
The petition was written and Fawehinmi forwarded same to the LSHOA and the Nigerian Police on 21 September, 1999 giving the Police 14 days to make public its findings. Before that, the contents of Gani's letter on 13 September 1999; “The issue of immunity does not arise yet at the stage of investigation. Your duty at this stage is to conduct an investigation into the matter and make the outcome thereof public.”
On 27 September, 1999; The Police replied Fawehinmi that: 1. By virtue of Section 308, Tinubu cannot be investigated. 2. By virtue of Section 188 (removal of Governor) and Section 308, only the LSHOA can investigate Tinubu and act. 3. That Fawehinmi does not have the locus standi since he was neither a Governorship Candidate nor a member of AD. 4. That Fawehinmi cannot issue an Order of Mandamus following 3 above.
The Supreme Court ruled; 1 & 2. Every person in Nigeria, including the President can be investigated. Investigation does not mean one is guilty or a criminal. The SC still emphasised that members under S308 cannot be tried, imprisoned, arrested or charged to Court. Not even the investigation by any other agency or LSHOA can stop the Police from investigating a crime.
3. That it is the duty of every Nigerian to stamp out crime from the society hence, crime can be reported by any Nigerian to the Police. Hence, Fawehinmi or any Nigerian had the locus to lay a complaint to the Police.
4. That the Police under the Constitution is not compelled to make public any of its findings. Mandamus is a judicial remedy in the form of an order from a court to any government, subordinate court, corporation, or public authority, to do some specific act which that body is obliged under law to do, and which is in the nature of public duty, and in certain cases one of a statutory duty. The SC said Gani must show that he will suffer more than the general interests of Lagosians if the Order is granted. The SC re-echoed that thousands voted for Tinubu so he should show why that Order will make him suffer more than the rest. He had no statutory rights based on Section 59(1) of the Criminal Procedure Law of Lagos @ the time. The Appeal was dismissed.
In 2012, a Dominic Adegbola petitioned the Police again and went to the Federal High Court, Lagos and it was struck out. The man wasn't bringing up a new case, he was trying to enforce Gani's case of 2002 in 2013...a Judicial Review. Order 34, Rule 4 of the FHC Civil Procedure Laws, says it must be brought forth within 3 months.
You seem in a rush to latch onto issues that were not canvassed for here. There is only a singular issue here, the disinformation.
Tinubu's Certificate saga is more a moral burden than a legal issue. That there is something suspicious is not enough, to say he has perjured which is a criminal offence and must be proven beyond every reasonable doubts. His qualification criteria was not brought forth for interpretation here, he is qualified to contest if anyone feels a crime has been committed, he/she can head to Court.
Only the Nigerian Police can unravel the mystery, without which the matter will end the way it is, social media.
The very wrong information has been passed on for some days now, the reason I took my time to explain.
garfield1 vicdom kahal29 penguin2 indispensable85 Ojuntana kyase Pakute . " Tinubu's Certificate saga is more a moral burden than a legal issue. The new CJN who is on acting capacity until his appointment will be cleared/confirmed by the Nigerian Senate is from Oyo state and report available indicates that he was born in 1958 and started schooling in 1959. It being reported that he had his early education between 1959 & 1967. My question is; at what age did the new acting CJN start schooling?

Nigeria is a country where you will have issues immidiately you have a new position or you aspire a position. It is our culture which achieves nothing eventually. In the case of the new CJ, what is the minimum requirement of being a CJ? Date of Birth or a member of SC judges? The furore about 1958 or 1959 does affect his position and appointment as the CJ of Nigeria. |

fergie001: Stop misrepresenting the Supreme Court for heaven's sake. The Supreme Court never said only the House of Assembly can investigate a sitting Governor.
The Supreme Court agreed with Fawehinmi that anybody can be investigated but whilst it is been done the Governor cannot be charged, arrested, prosecuted or imprisoned. Look at the lead judgement from Justice Uwaifo...
(per Uwaifo, JSC)
garfield1 vicdom kahal29 penguin2 indispensable85 ejimatic Ojuntana Pakute . Every sitting governor enjoys a special immunity that can prevent his prosecution. He however can be investigated and the findings kept until he loses his immunity. In the case of a gross misconduct or crime of any sort the SHA is empowered by the law to investigate and if he is found guilty can expidite his impeachment ( Almaiseha of Bayelsa 2005). In the case of BAT the SC two times had heard the case and decided in his favour. In the case of Buhari APC vrs Atiku PDP 2019 PEPT and SC,the two courts relied on 1999 constitution as ammended to reitrate that a President. should have O level or its equivalent.BAT had an equivalent of SSCE in a Chcago College before he went for his degree studies. He is therefore more than qualified to rule as a Nigerian president. |
