Gamine:
i know a Lawyer*

i have asked and believe me they know things
C'mon, lawyers are trained to be streetsmart
That is their profession, to escape from any situation
If not that, then what's being streetsmart all about?

Any lawyer will argue two sides of a case and convince you
They don't get that only from the classrooms, they get that from their internships and countless other ways

Gamine:
Eldee,

i have seen people on the street being duped countless times.
Then those ones, ma'am are just DAFT.

I'm Nigerian, I've seen people lie without flinching, I've seen all that over and over again
How will someone now come and tell me to bring my money for one big business deal?
Come on!!!
Romance › Re: Do You Believe In Karma? by eldee(m): 1:35pm On Jul 09, 2008
Gamine:
Its not what they did,
Its what Humans did.
So KARMA will prefer to punish other people and leave the main culprits?

Hitler killed Jews, but Rhys Jones is being punished?
Meaning I might get punished for Thaksin's human right abuse?
Or maybe I'll get shot because Abacha killed Many people and went on to die a natural death.

Believe me that argument is flawed
Romance › Re: Book Smart Or Street Smart by eldee(m): 1:28pm On Jul 09, 2008
Gamine:
lol

Eldee,

Being on the street dosnt make one Streetsmart
Believe me, growing up in some places make you discover that your greatest asset is your brain

Being streetsmart comes from having a brain box of experience, yours and various people's past events
Tell me how many ex-Lagosians can fall for scam?

Gamine:
And i don't know the kind of Bookies you have met.

The ones i know, may study one thing and are devoted to that field
but are very versed in many others
Then that's not the average bookworm
Most of them know just what they need to know bout one thing
Try asking a nigerian Professor about something outside his field

I think in one way or the other you reap what you sow. might take years but the past always comes back to haunt you.
I'm still demanding an explanation for Hitler's punishment for the Holocaust
And why Abacha died such an easy death too

And if Mr Karma could help me explain what the Damilola Taylors and Rhys Jones' did to get killed like animals, I'll be really grateful

Gamine:
Lol.

Which strong point.

Since i don't know what Karma is right now.
i will suspend my comments.

But i do know that Hitler, his generations and Germany are reaping what they sowed.
Oh my dayzz . . . you're cracking me up
Germany's suffering?? Don't let Dayokanu hear that from you

Till tomorrow, there are still people that believe Hitler is the greatest man that ever stepped on the earth's surface
His family are living life, like the average individual

And with a GDP of over $30,000 per capita for Germany, it goes to show that they're not having it as bad as Mr KARMA wants it to be

And you failed to explain what the kids like Rhys Jones and Damilola Taylor did to get killed brutally like that
Could we explain it as a punishment for copying from their sitmates in exams ? tongue

syren:
Really, says who? huh the world will always need booksmart people, being street smart is also an advantage so if you have both, then youv'e made it. cool
Yeah . . . they still need 'em but not like before
That's why universities have braod internship programs, student unions, campuses, to enlighten you about what you need to survive in the outside world

That's why sumone that studied Pharmacology can now work as an accountant
A streetsmart person will master any field in one month

Gamine:
@Eldee,
Plsssss
The Streetsmart cannot do without Books.

So, you can't cancel out the Bookies
The fact that you read books does not make you booksmart
A booksmart person has commited almost half of his life to studying one thing
He knows everything about that one thing

A streetsmart person tries knows one thing about everything
Romance › Re: Do You Believe In Karma? by eldee(m): 11:51am On Jul 09, 2008
CH3COO:
Philosophical superstition more like. There's no theory or law that suggests that karma is nature's way of saying you screwed up; rather, we have come to accept it as a general principle that we live by.

People do bad deeds every day and this same karma fails to catch up to them. Is karma discriminatory? Those darn crooks we call our leaders in Aso Rock have been doing us dirty for decades, where is the karma to flush them out.
Well said!!!

KARMA is man's way of consoling himself for ill-luck and poor planning
Hitler killed how many millions of people, when Mr KARMA wanted to get him, what happened?
He died . . . the same way the six year old girl that was walking on the street when a gas leak exploded
The same way people in the Twin Towers died on 9/11

KARMA is just a big farce
Romance › Re: Book Smart Or Street Smart by eldee(m): 11:45am On Jul 09, 2008
I'll choose streetsmart any day, if I had to choose one

When Ms Streetsmart has to meet an accountant tomorrow
She studies everything she needs to hold a conversation with him, I get the good deal
She can hold an interesting conversation with people of all trades

Streetsmart people get the booksmarts to do the jobs for them
Take a look at M.K.O's boardroom and see what I'm saying

The world has stopped looking for booksmart people now

The proofs of the law of Give and Take are too many.

. . . .too many
C'mon all you've proven there is Law of Conservation of Mass Energy
Which says: Matter can neither be created nor destroyed although it may change forms

They are definitely a selling club. . . .No big club set out to make profit on transfer fees!!!

I think the credit crunch bleeped Arsenal up big time.
All the flats built in Highbury that were supposed to be hotcakes are just lying redundant. . . .
Interested buyers 12 months ago cannot afford em. . . .It's the buyers' market now . . . prices have been forced down to the loss of Arsenal FC.
In a million years I wouldn't have imagined that the falling house prices will affect Arsenal
I thought they said the place was already sold out years ago

Anyways, I still don't see the reason AW had to go to the press with this
Arsenal is not the first club to be in debt, infact Chelsea owe millions to their sponsor
But Le Prof just had to carry the matter to the press, it must be a French thing . . . Gallas, Toure, Ade and now AW

What has he suceeded in doing? Causing mass hysteria
First, all other clubs now know that they just need to offer, then stall and wait for AW to come begging

And then the players too . . . Loyalty has been thrown away, like Ade said 'Everybody gains'

What of the transfer target? Who wants to come to a club that's going to sell instead of increasing wages?

This is a wrong choice from Le Prof, really wrong choice . . .

I still don't get it, Olympic football is like an U21 tournament, perhaps we are looking to earn easy brownie points with the Olympics and get some players on the market undecided

millions of people watch the Olympics not necessarily for the football though
It's not about who played there and what you played
The big thing there is if you win a medal

An Olympic medal is the dream of every sportsman/sportswoman
It's one of those things you put on the wall and tell your grandchildren about when you're old and grey

Ever wondered why Fergie might be coaching the UK Under-23 team in London 2012?

RedHotChic:
Best response yet. kanu was canceled when he had a heart condition, who will predict that he'll still be playing now.
Kanu was smart, he knew what he wanted: to keep playing, c'mon, he left Arsenal to West Brom, was almost going to Germany
If Mikel went to an Everton or a Carrick-less, Hagreaves-less Man Utd, he won't be praying Ballack and Essien get injured

Naija babes are not that inclined to sell stories about how their husbands shagged em and stuffs!!!!
The chics from Naija love their privacy. . . . . .Some of em still feign virginity after having 4 kids in their marriage.
People are still conservative in Africa unlike the AA peops or the trailer park twats you see on Jerry Springer.
Aight, leave that part, but what of the diabolical ones that feel that they have to lock you down sumhow?
Believe me, the stakes are too high

Ignore Doyin. . . . . . .He is high off his liquor tonight.
How can one say he would challenge a gang of daredevil robbers at gun-point because of his wife?? Pure madness!!!

So you are tryin to tell me you will just cower in your little corner while your wife is ravished by another man in your prescence

Come on man. . . . .where is your pride. If challenging the chap makes me stupid, then so be it.

Doing nothing will eat me up inside to death anyway.
You can't ask me that one, especially the blackbelts I received with Bruce Lee and Grandmaster Fufu Dei cool cool

But in that kind of case, like I said, I'll present a cheque or sumn
It's about getting out of it together, not trying to show off all my 'Once Upon a Time In China' skills

Bravery shouldn't be stupidity

Nah . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

For instance, David Beckham n Posh Spice. . . . Beckham shagged Rebecca Loos or so. . . .Divorce should have been on the cards.
But, David's parents are still together and Victoria's parents are still happily married.
There was no way the 2 families would ever agree to any stupid divorce. . . . .
So, all will be well in the Beckhamshire palace even if Beckham shags Ini Edo next month.
WORD!!! But you can't compare them

This is where the money comes in again, a chic that has been poor all her life will see any little problem as a cashpoint
