This Jonathan is just too intelligent for average Nigerians whose past and future was bastardized by people like Buhari and his old cargoes of military numbnuts.

But just because of his humility and his hunger to follow the rule of law they labelled him clueless, now that the chips are down the C-IN-C has spoken let APC say theirs without their usual negative rhetorics filled with insults and name calling.

Intelligent comments like these are reasons why I followed you. You are very smart. I have mentioned this same thing to some people before. The man a lot of us erroneously call clueless is far more intelligent than an average Nigerian. Reason why most times we can't understand him and misquote him a lot.

For example, his stealing not corruption statement that is blown out of proportion by opposition is actually true. Stealing is a subset of corruption just like nepotism, ethnicity, circumvention etc. Jonathan mental capacity is way ahead of some of us.

Please stop these lies. Jonathan has been in power for less than 6 years. Speech was written for him indeed. Did you watch him? Did you honestly see him reading from a prepared text? You people lie too much and it's very irritating. Apply your common sense to issues please.

No matter how far lies travels, truth will always catch up with it. Jonathan raised some categorical issues, I expect you to counter them factually for the benefits of yet to decide voters instead of telling hogwash lies.

No matter how APC and Buhari wish to kill the certificate issue with all forms of distractions, it will never go away until he provides it.

Saw attached letter on Twitter today. Not everyone is silly all the time. Some people will talk and do nothing, some wouldn't talk but take action.

Just provide this thing to at least uphold your credibility and save innocent lives. Because if he is disqualified because of this issue innocent people will die for what they know nothing about.

Politics / Re: Buhari: A Need To End Mediocrity And Quota System. by eleven(m): 12:40pm On Jan 07, 2015
Quota system needs to be removed from our system. It's an anti-developmental policy.

The Northern child should be allowed to make his mistakes, learn and grow. With time due to competition from his mates, he will learn faster and possibly overtake in the future.

Quota system is not giving them the opportunity to fully harness their intellectual abilities. Learned Northerners are very brilliant people.

The system is retrogressive.

Politics / Re: Buhari: A Need To End Mediocrity And Quota System. by eleven(m): 1:06am On Jan 06, 2015
Quota system is one of the major challenges to our development as a Nation. A system that sacrifices hardwork for mediocrity. If you have never been a victim of quota system, you might not really understand the negative implications.

Thrice I have personally experienced the downside of quota system and have seen some Southern and Western Nigerians wish they were from the North; heard some even claim Northern origin just to get easy access into Federal civil service and the Military though can't verify that claim.

Quota system promotes inequality. A system that's a gives 180 marks as cut off to children from the South/West/East and give as low as 2 marks to children from the North for same admission into Federal schools in the same year does not encourage hardwork/equal rights but encourages laziness. Thanks to Olisa Agbakoba for fighting this policy.

If for anything Quota system has been counter productive to the Northern region, a region it aims to protect & develop, unfortunately reverse is the case.

Some pathetic TANists are even contemplating "IF" or "IF NOT" General Buhari is disqualified. I laugh in efik language. Disqualified by who? Over what? Hahaha... Very funny I swear

You are obviously still living in denial and thinking Nigerians of 2015 are stupid. While I agree with you some of us are, I disagree that we are 100% stupid. Anyway events in the coming days will tell true position of things if the man does not provide his certificate as required by the constitution. Till then continue living in denial.

It's not trash. The OP raised a very valid opinion for discussion please do not shut him up. Guess you underestimate how greedy Nigerian politicians can be when it comes to power. Or maybe you believe the hug wash that everyone in APC is now a saint destined for heaven.

@OP, it's very possible though no one can prove it now but like you said time will tell. I do not see Buhari qualifying if he doesn't provide his certificates. Nigerians are monitoring this issue closely and are seriously calling for him to provide it. He has no where to hide if he doesn't provide it.

Recall another OP asked in another thread who will replace Buhari if he is disqualified. I think Atiku will mostly likely replace him and in the game of power you can not overrule enemy within especially if that person stands to gain should you fall. Nice thread.

If you celebrate Fr Mbaka latest statement for Buhari and condemn FFK for the same fact that he was against Jonathan before, you are not different from both of them.

You obviously understand the implications better the APC guys. Buhari has exposed himself to disqualification, as it is any lawyer can sue INEC for his disqualification easily and believe me there are many lawyers who would this for nothing because it's a serious insult & injustice to a lot of people who are much more qualified. My concern is the lives of innocent people who will be caught up in the crossfire if he is disqualified.

The APC guys do not understand or are pretending not to understand the serious damage this is causing and would cause their party. Change propagandists who do know that change has come. Them think say change still dey road, they are hoping usual status quo and media ramblings will shut people up and close the case...anyway this week will settle all of this.
Politics / Re: #BuhariShowYourCertificate by eleven(m): 1:04am On Jan 03, 2015
This has always been my concern and one issue that got me interested in this race.

Buhari will be exposing himself, the Army and APC if he doesn't provide that certificate. This issue will cause a major probe into the military admission system if he fails to provide this documents. Might loose his rank, pensions and life's achievements if he is not careful. It's a very serious issue, unfortunately APC guys are trying to downplay it with propagandas trying to use his military trainings certificates paid for by the Nigerian Government as a cover hoping it will go away with time.

Educational certificates are different from training/seminars certificates. The first comes before the later. Providing the later (training certificates) without the former (Educational certificates) nullifies the training certificates because you will have to prove how you got admitted in the first place for you to be nominated for the training.

I pray he provides it because should he be disqualified because of this, some of his supporters who would not understand the reason for his disqualification will murder innocent people over this. It's a very worrying issue.

Since you are really interested in change against 'corrupt PDP', I think you should join people clamouring for Buhari to provide his certificate and save innocent lives if he is disqualified because of this. Allowing him to run without presenting his certificate is unfair to other contestants who submitted theirs and that my friend is corruption.

My thoughts exactly. Am sure they will more worried if he fails to provide it because it will seriously dent their image. The Army too should be worried because the failure started from their platform. It's a not a joking matter. If he fails to present it, it will be the greatest deception of all time in Nigeria

You know in your heart you are not being truthful. No employer ever holds the original certificates of his employee in Nigeria and the world as a whole. Nigerian Army is no exception. It's only required for sighting during verification.

The issue is more serious than the way you look at it. I pray he provides it to save this country from avoidable bloodshed from his supporters if he is disqualified because of this.

His failure to provide this will rub off negatively on other military officers especially those from the Northern origin because they are the major beneficiaries of Quota system.

He needs to provide it otherwise him & the Military as an institution will be exposed to serious legal battles from opposition & independent lawyers even after his disqualification.

I hope Buhari has collected his FSLC/WAEC certificates from the Military. If not he still has ample time to do so. Training & seminar certificates are not educational qualifications. He needs to provide these educational certificates to prevent himself from disqualification and prove his admission into the Military was based on merit and not blind nepotism under the cover of Quota system.

He needs to provide his certificates now otherwise his greatest assets, his integrity will be thrown to the dustbin. He needs to do these more for himself first, the Army (his primary constituency) before Nigeria.

Failure to do this is a serious indictment on the Army & APC verification processes.

It's a serious issue.

Justcash:

In your attempt to rubbish the glaring milestones in the video, you have made very frivolous and ignorant statements. I don't mean to insult you o, but your response to this post revealed how much you don't know about transformation and development. Your "REAL-LIFE street facts", whatever it is, did not reveal any fact.

What does being the biggest economy have to do with withholding the salaries of workers? WHICH AGENCY RATED NIGERIA AS THE POOREST AFRICAN NATION? WHERE DID OIL WORKERS LOSE THEIR JOBS? You will do well to back up your frivolous statements with evidence. Moreover, if oil workers lost their jobs and the economy is not doing too well, do you have to blame the government for causing the economic crisis? Did the FG reduce the price of oil? You see? You know very little of what you are fast to respond to.

You have just announced to us that you are using an inverter. Good. How does that disprove or make FG's privatization useless? WHO ARE YOU TO SAY THAT THE STORY REMAINS THE SAME ALL OVER THE COUNTRY? DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT POWER GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION IN THE PAST AND NOW? Here again, you showed that you know nothing about privatization, power generation and current dynamics in the Nigerian power sector.

About the roads, are you saying that what we are seeing in the video was distorted? Do you really think you can interpret everything the way you wish even in the face of glaring evidence? Did you even watch any of the videos?

Your statement about the Made in Nigeria cars is laughable. It shows that you underestimated how much reforms has happened in that sector. Just patiently watch the video before making any comment. You call the trains obsolete. Sigh, you are so ungrateful. Which advanced rail system were you riding in the past in Nigeria? Do you know that the same train is being used in more developed nations? How will you know when you have refused to do your research. Street facts indeed. SMH.

Your continuous use of the security situation to score points against the FG is becoming obsolete. ISN'T IT OBVIOUS THAT THE FG IS TACKLING THE SECURITY ISSUE HEADLONG? This is despite the fact that it is a war involving INTERNAL GUERRILLA WARFARE. Something that Nigeria is not used to. Gallant youths are in the forests dying for you, you are here mocking them. What a shame.

I'll leave you with some questions, "WHICH LEADERS FAILED TO UPDATE THE NIGERIAN MILITARY FOR MANY DECADES? IS THIS LACK OF UPDATE REFLECTING IN THE CURRENT FIGHT AGAINST INTERNAL AGGRESSION? IS THE FG STRIVING TO UPDATE THE MILITARY? If you can sincerely answer these questions, you'll be educated on the complexities involved in the current war.

If you must criticize, try to be objective or better still, present facts.

Happy New Year and thank you for this education. These are jobs GEJ media handlers should be doing instead of wasting time exchanging banters with opposition. In-spite of some of Jonathan's short comings, he has out performed his predecessors in many areas. Unfortunately his performance are being under reported by his media handlers either they are not competent or they are deliberately sabotaging the man's efforts mafia style.
