Youths of this country must realise in 4 weeks time, we must take the soul of the nation from the hands of the GEJ led administration.

They will not give in without a very serious fight, they will go very dirty as the days come by. Of recent, they have come up with a spurious fictitious medical report from Ahmadu Bello teaching hospital indicating Buhari might have Prostrate Cancer.
But as youths that are intelligent, Is there any institution like Ahmadu Bello Teaching hospital ? A big fat NO What we have in the country is Ahmadu Bello University Teaching hospital.

Doyin2:
Moreover,it is a monumental deceit to claim that GEJ transformed the economy to be the largest in Africa. What was done was just to rebase the economy(something similar to revaluation of assets) so that the GDP now becomes a bigger figure. It's like conducting population census only to find out that the population has doubled, and then claiming that Nigeria's population doubled under GEJ's administration!!!!

Previous governments never bothered about rebasing(revaluing )the GDP because it does not connote economic development,it's just a mere updating of figures! Also the size of the economy is mainly(about 85%) because of oil exports. Now that the oil prices have dropped by more than 50%,our GDP would also have reduced drastically along that path!
Offcourse, it is part of the "spin and sell" that the current administration is offering the populace. The GDP was last rebased over 20 years ago.

I swear, every failed government in the past can list achievements and if one is not careful enough to put things in perspective , you will be "waohing" the achievements. The GEJ government has failed in epic proportion.

Market GEJ in the light of the following : sad

1. 400,000 barrels of oil stolen daily, yet pipeline protection contracts running in to billions of Naira in the hands of terrorists/militants

2. increased petrol price from 65-97naira in a period of oil boom over 110usd/barrel consistently for years,

3. power supply has not seen any worthwhile improvement 5 years down the line, it is still the same 4,000mw bullshittt+- , i have been hearing since the Obj regime . I just saw a protest on Channelstv of Benin youths destroying properties of the distribution company in care of the region due to poor power supply to their area

4. Thrillions used in paying fraudulent kerosene subsidy annually, that same amount can build four (4.) or more large scale refineries and there would be change. Yet kerosene sold at over N120 to the populace instead of the claimed N50. Refined petroleum products still imported to the detriment of the country's foreign exchange.

5 Excess crude oil account wiped out, external debt profile rising again after debt relief of 2005, and OBJ's pay off of debt. Foreign reserve account depleting.

6. Several local govts taken over by BH, and BH obviously is enlarging its coast, over 2,000 killed in Baga days ago, yet the man does not appear bothered. Military men at warfront claims military weapons are inadequate and not up to date.

7. Failed to diversify the economy after 5 years, but simply lip service, 70% of the budget still on recurrent expenditure in a developing country that needs lots of physical infrastructures .

8. No concrete plan for grand scale unemployment that is a ticking time bomb, but minimalist approach like "youwin" that provides 1,000 jobs annually in a country with hundreds of million unemployed youth.

In dec. 2014, i predicted APC 65% PDP 35% in the SW, not necessarily because i feel GEJ can get the 35%, but it is better to give room and respect for incumbency factor. Online support from SW is virtually one way, but offline might be slightly different, that accounts for the 35% for GEJ.

Lots of GEJ supporters will prefer to sit at home in the SW. His governance was not inspiring to warrant people trooping out to vote for him.

I will like to know the online platform that showed GEJ will win in the SW. Which platform? What states are you conducting your offline sampling from ?

GEJ is a very marketable product the challenge GEJ is facing is that he has a very weak propaganda team who is just waking up from a long slumber.

I am not pro PDP, because I believe PDP as a party is same as APC. with the high level defection from both camps it is right to say they are both made up of similar people.

I have different approach toward politics. I do not support parties I support candidates. GEJ is my candidate (PDP), Rochas of Owerri is my candidate(APC) , Fashola of lagos state is my man (APC) , Akpabio of Akwaibom is my man (PDP), Willie Obiano of Anambara is my man (APGA) etc.

I am not spinning tales to demonize the opposition but I am asking valid question ... presenting my convictions.

The reason I am addressing APC states as a party is because APC is against my Candidate. For me it is GEJ against APC, not PDP against APC.
GEJ has implemented this bill what has APC states done to domesticate it in their states.
You have not listed PDP states that have domesticate FOI act, i am sure Ekiti state led the way. BTW, a court injunction of recent stated that states do not need to domesticate for them to be under the influence of the act.

If you support candidates and not party, you will not be canvassing for a man who is weak. 1. 400,000 barrels of oil stolen daily, 2. increased petrol price from 65-97naira in a period of oil boom over 100usd/barrel. 3. power supply has not seen any worthwhile improvement 5 years down the line, it is still the same 4,000mw bullshittt , i have been hearing since the Obj regime 4. Show us how his opponents fared in the South West in 2011 in figures and percentages.
His opponents did not fare well for obvious reasons.

The ACN presidential ticket though sick, died on the night of attempted merger with CPC when there was a rumoured resignation of Ribadu. The CPC had no structure whatsoever.

The ACN technically raised hands off in 2015 and barely mobilised , the electorates also observed that the ACN ticket will not fly. some fell in love with his new face and fresh air mantra, Some voters not too moved with GEJ sat down and watched from the sidelines, the voters turnout was the worst at barely 30%. 4 years is a whole lot of time in politics a lot has changed bro.

Jonathan won the SW convincingly in 2011, this analysis is only giving him a marginal victory.

Structures win elections and not propaganda.
He got 58% of SW votes in 2011, coupled with a lot of voter apathy.

If it is by structures, the Opposition now control more states that matter in SW. Ogun and Oyo were obtained from PDP that was leading those states then. Agreed, it lost ekiti, but put it in mind that the total votes of ondo state and ekiti state is not up to that of Oyo state.

I am typing from Ibadan, 3 days ago, i met a man who will not vote APC in the gubernatorial, but told me surely he will vote in the presidential for Buhari, several others i have seen might not vote APC at gubernatorial , but they will vote APC at presidential.

The election will be like a Yes or No referrendum on Jonathan in SW.

@ Op, Are you implying GEJ will have a better performance in the SW in 2015 than 2011 ? You kept on giving him high % as if voters are all mindless sheep that will be whip in to line by one big shepherd.......

You know in your hearts of hearts that his SW performance in 2015 will be worse than 2011.

2011 performance was 58% ooooooooo.

Subsidy, corruption, insecurity e.t.c are on voters mind.

That is part of the irony ... an APC rep sponsored a bill that is yet to be accepted broadly by your political party. He that comes to equity should come with clean hands.

At second bolded that is why I would vote for GEJ. He signed a bill that would allow Nigerians the power to see more rot in the system and hold their government accountable.

Do you know that The House had first passed the Bill in 2006, followed by the Senate but former President Olusegun Obasanjo refused to append his signature to turn it into an Act. All but one (Clause 18) of the 34 clauses in the bill were passed by the House under GEJ.

APC rep in person of Abike Dabiri spearheaded the FOI bill.

Ekiti State, a former APC state under Kayode Fayemi was the first state to domesticate FOI act.

The failures of the current day govt were not even unravelled by FOI anyway, i am certain if more Nigerians tap in to the FOI act, more rot will be revealed.

Iroh88:
I was getting irritated by the writer's bias, but when I got to the point below:
I couldn't stomach the irritation anymore.

Firstly, the writer made it sound as though it is INEC's fault some people have decided not to go out and collect their PVCs!! Of course not all eligible voters have theirs ready (which is a lapse that cuts across all the geopolitical zones), but the writer tried to make it look as though people from "Jonathan's strongholds" are the worst hit. Does he have a proof of that??

INEC published a data detailing the percentage PVC collection as against what has been made available across the country and one saw that Lagos, which constitutes one of the major advantage of the opposition, was lagging behind with barely over 50% of cards available collected so far, while states like Akwa-Ibom has very large percentage (84% there about). I bet the writer is ignorant of this!!! Does INEC have to coerce voters to go out and collect their PVCs?? The answer is, NO!

And back to the highly disgraceful quote above; the writer stated the incidences of violence the opposition has suffered as though it were some minor thing that could easily be waved aside, yet when he mentioned those suffered by PDP, he sounded like heaven was about to fall!! Tell me, since he chose to use the words apart from, let me join him in the game of "trivialising": now, "apart from" the burning of Jonathan's bus and the destruction of his campaign posters, what other casualty has PDP suffered?? People (APC members) were shot at at in PH and their secretariat bombed, but the writer imagines these are of lesser severity compared to burning of a bus and destruction of posters from the tone of his voice!!shocked

How bias can a journalist be!!!

This write up is one of such things that fuel the violence the writer wants to make us believe he's preaching against. The guy must be restrained before he causes more harm.

When I got to that quote, I stopped and decided to check out the link. I wasn't surprised when I saw the name of the writer.

Smh.

Barcanista, my ban ends today. Will be back guns blazing!!! Donphilopus I dey hail oo.
Exactly. What a biased writer. APC has suffered violence from PDP than the other way round. Inec distribution of PVc's has also been fraught with administrative lapses from Inec in the sw, an APC stronghold. Lagos for example had its over 6 million registered voters reduced to less than 5 million . Even Fashola does not have a PVC yet.

The traditional chief who awarded Buhari a chieftancy title has been tossed out from its leadership position in broad day bigotry from an institution.
