Is Nigeria winning Gold & Silver at commonwealth games not worthy for front page news by the mods ? |
Soneh: weight lifting all the time, aren't there other sports they could winThat is one of Nigeria's strength. |
BABAKABIRU301: ARE YOU PLEAD FOR AREGBESUNKUN FATHER OF STATE BOYS [ ITU BABA ITA] OR FOR OSUN STATE?Crass illiterate ! So nkan to fe so ni ede Yoruba. Aregbe will win with landslide votes, if by any means you know what landslide means. |
Firefire: Your proverbial statement needs to be simplify by yourself. It is as simplified as possible. Political decisions are to be made with common sense. |
Firefire: My guy,Will you send away your wife from your home on complaints of her soup too salty, and then replace her with a prostitute? Only very daftt people make such kind of decisions. |
Nigeria's Oluwatoyin Adesanmi won the Commonwealth Games women's 63kg weightlifting gold medal on Sunday. The African championship silver medallist pushed Commonwealth No.1 and compatriot Obioma Okoli into the silver position. India's Punam Yadav, the youngest lifter at 19, took bronze. http://www.sportsfan.com.au/nigerias-adesanmi-wins-63kg-lifting-gold/tabid/91/newsid/138832/default.aspx |
Onlinebizexpert: matyrs for what reason?if there was no extra judicial killing emanating from this protest, you might never know there was a protest against the killings in gaza. How then do you conclude there was no protest against BH killings.?. If there was a security report of the danger from the protest, there ought to have been another way of dispersing the crowd rather than firing live bullets to defenseless crowd. |
The amount of tribal and religious bigotry from today's youth is shocking, it is like a cancer eating up common sense. |
nwabekeyi: ok, we shall see how you will use your brain. But I didn't insult you, that's why your people disgust me, any small thing they resort to cheap insults.I am calling you back to reality, stop the fantasy war you are agitating for. You are the most disadvantaged, I love the ibos enough to know that, It will do your people no good, stop the hate. |
nwabekeyi: There's a thick line between a riot and a war, our western brothers think they can build a strong wall of jericho round their region, when the time comes, you will know that a war knows no bound. Its not a case where 200 igbos will be kill in west and 150 will be killed east, its a different ball game.So tell me the game, War is successfully executed with superior strategy. Ibos already placed themselves at disadvantaged position by their highly migrant nature, this is not 1967, this is 2014. Before the biafran declaration in , Ojukwu in late 1966 asked all ibos outside the biafran region to return, how many ibos were outside the biafran region then versus 2014 ? My mum talks about how moving buses were stopped and inspected for ibos, any anyone found the skull of such was smashed on the floor with soldier boots, due to the fact she is fair in complexion, she was usually harrassed with "shey you be ibo ?" question in market places,.... |
nwabekeyi: I have nothing else to telll you, let the time come then we shall see, you are still seeing a war like a riot, yorubas won't be even safe in yoruba land by then, that's what a war looks like. You are the one seeing war like a riot. Get this in to your thick skull, there would be no hiding place or police to mediate or protect the weaker vessel, It will be free for all. War is not fought with brawn but brain. You are probably somewhere in a yorubaland and mouthing off, i SMH at your idiocy. If you are in Lagos, do you think you will hide in our protected barracks or displacement centres. Stop wishing death in millions for your people ,you wicked dolt. |
nwabekeyi: Its as if our yoruba fellas think war is like abiola riot where no other tribe is paying attention. Hmmmm!!! This time around, if you aren't strong enough to protect your land, other tribes will infiltrate and take it from you. Its gonna be like fighting till death, there's no way millions of yorubas won't die. For we igbos, we are experienced, though am not advocating for war, but if it has to come? They say experience is the best teacher. For the hausas, they kill spontaneously, they are very gullible and readily listen to their leaders. All in all, this war we are agitating is gonna be bloody and brutal, be rest assured. You are Igbo, your people are scattered all over the country, and you are baiting for war? Do you think there would be rationality when the war starts.? You say, there's no way millions of yorubas wont die, you must be stupid to think, millions of ibos in Lagos for example can make it out alive in a Lagos state surrounded by other yoruba states. Where will be the escape route? ogun state? benin republic ? or oyo state? |
Hutu tribe VS Tutsi tribe wars in Rwanda and Burundi is a good case study. It is well documented, people need to understand what war is truly is, and if it is truly what they want. War is a last resort. I see lots of taunts, hate and tribal bigotry displayed on nairaland, and many think they are catching fun, But i think they fail to understand that discourse especially involving politics, ethnicity and religion on sites like nairaland, and many others is a mould for the voice of the youths and the people on the streets, it might appear like harmless fun, but the more it spreads, taking into cognisance this age of social media and broadcast channels, one day , a seemingly detached event will trigger it. An assassination of a buhari or jonathan in the current heated up polity might be the trigger of a civil war. |
It seems daft people have a way of congregrating in PDP online support group. The OP posts is filled with too many stomach turning nonsense Ahn Ahn !!! |
olukenzo: If that person is Shekau or Muttallab, yes. All the same God is oft-forgiving, most merciful. My brother, they are muslims who are indoctrinated to believe they are killing for GOD, if that is accepted by all muslims, then the next troubleshooting will be "who is indoctrinating them ?" Sermons targeting people of other religion is unnecessarily prevalent That for me is in no small means the rootcause of most religious crisis in Nigeria. If muslims want converts from other religions, they should go on an evangelism to others telling them about the good in islam. Sermons to win others over in to the islamic fold not to exterminate them |
olukenzo: Renowned Islamic Scholars? Anyone that preaches hate is not a Muslim, talk more of a scholar. A Muslim is the best of humans; kind, loving, supportive, loyal and compassionate. Are you saying muslims are angels not susceptible to acting wrongly? Dont bury your head in sand and pretend a problem does not exist. So the day a muslim or christain does wrongly, (S)he ceases to be christain or muslim? Common, stop that hypocrisy. |
olukenzo: Which yeye drift, aren't you a comedian? Bros enjoy your life jare.Dont be cross with the guy, he made a valid point. I dont like to be drawn in religious debates, but times and times over, i have heard evil sermons that i STRONGLY believe promote hate against people of other religion, by renowned islamic scholars expecially from the north, the followers take up such hate sermons and act on it. When such followers strike and act wrongly, the nauseating part is some people now deny they are not muslims The first step to getting to the rootcause of the problem is to accept they are muslims doing wrong things. That is my humble belief |
I think some people are oiling the wheels for a possible civil war via the social media, it is currently a cold war that can spontaneously lead to a real civil strife when least expected. |
texaco1: sister, I am a realist, despite the fact that I have a soft spot for pdp I won't let that be cloud my analysis .when fayose got the ticket I knew he would win ,but omisore case was different,I remember that he and adesiyan threatened adeleke and that made him adeleke to withdraw, many formidable candidates that would have contested the party ticket with omisore also withdrew because they know how omisore is desprate for that seat. I won't be surprised if there are pockets of violence in osun before and after the elections. We have a sitting governor who is desperate to retain his seat and whose party is fighting for political survival versus a candidate who is equally desperate to win at all cost and has the fg backing him , sister just imagine ,if omisore is announced as winner there will be some violence and if aregbe is announced as winner there will be some violence as well. Let's hope that the law enforcement agencies will be up to the task to contain it and nip it in the budshhhhhhh, there wont be any violence for an election that will be won in landslide fashion. |
youngmonie: This is excatly wht some Nigerians fail to understnd, its it tricks by this government to destabilize APC. Take out Tinubu and APC is finishedThere are two sets of people who oppose him, the mischievious and the ignoramus, the latter is the worse, they simply operate with the mob mentality. They are joining the fray without actually understanding the political hatchet. |
The writer dissection of the matter was so on point. He echoed thoughts that are products of critical thinking. Tinubu's fall will mean , the APC will be seriously weakened , he is thus singled out and constantly pummeled by the PDP. Any rational person should see that. |
Has dickson close the office of rumour mongering in Bayelsa state ? |
This Aribisala man needs to be confined to a mental asylum. ![]() |
The usual bullshitt. |
I read somewhere in the beginning of the year, when a prophet said he will be removed as PDP chair and given an international assignment. |
Something is definitely wrong somewhere. The amount of moronic posts is increasing geometrically. The OP's post is a pointer, and the supporting post is shocking. Could it be that TAN has recruited legions of morons to make imbecilic posts ? |
You press horns indiscriminately while driving. You see garden egg inside egg roll |
Anyone coming in to Nigeria from those 3 countries (guinea, sieria leonne and liberia) needs to be given "special" treatment by the quarantine services at the ports. |
ideology: See ur last post, evil politics of abandoning opposition stateI stated clearly that there is little or no federal presence in many opposition states, only evil people disagree with that. What do you know about the Lagos - Ibadan expressway? Is it not the most important highway in the nation? It took consistent public outcry, and request by the 3 concerned South west governors for handover of the highway for the FG to decide to take any action on that highway, In fact, the Ogun state governor had to start patching section of the highway in 2011. Jonathan administration has spent over 4 years, and construction work only started late in to last year. I am very conversnt with the road, and at the current pace of work, it will take more than 10 years for the road to be completed, that is if will not be abandoned if Jonathan wins a second term. it is hard to see sincerity of purpose, and i cast doubts about the ongoing construction work, i stand to be corrected. If you also dont know, the highway spans across three states (lagos, ogun and oyo states) The Lagos portion is barely 5% of the road, Ogun state roughly 65% and Oyo state (30%). |
ideology: Now you brought in opposition, which APC loves doing, they can't say anything without calling opposition, and abusing people.Focus on the points i raised and stop rigmaroling. Is Lagos state not governed by APC, an opposition party to the centre? What is wrong with the word opposition? Is it not an important component in any democratic society? Is the janjawid ideology you scream about not childish and insulting ? |
