Politics › Re: See What This Ghanaian TV Presenter Wrote About Buhari's Outfit To The G7summit by Emmahunk(m): 7:06am On Jun 09, 2015
I wonder why everything about Nigeria seems to be everyone's headache.
We are good with what our president wore to the G-7 Summit and would have been delighted if other World Leaders tried being fashionable by dressing like him (our own culture).

Very shallow report. You only know that they are APC members but do not know why they were killed. What key positions were they holding in APC to warrant their being killed?
Enough of APC/ PDP sensation!

Still one good thing about Nigerian lovers, they might be stingy, bossy, etc but will never think of killing you.
What a waste! RIP
Nairaland General › Important Tips For Pmb/osibanjo by Emmahunk(op): 1:09pm On Jun 01, 2015
Hon Chuma Nzeribe, a two term House of Representatives Member and the ubiquitous former Security Adviser to Anambra State Government writes :

ACTIONABLE BRIEF FOR THE NEW GMB ADMINISTRATION:

Govt shall, immediately upon being sworn in but not later than 30-days, adopt an Emergency Management Program (EMP) to restore public confidence and trust in institutions of governance as follows:

1. Do away with the so-called fuel subsidy regime by negotiating a contract with the Oil majors (Total, Mobil, Shell, etc) to supply Nigeria's daily needs of refined petroleum products from their overseas refineries, in exchange for 400,000 barrels of Nigerian crude at a fixed & reasonable profit margin.

2. Sack the entire management team of NNPC, PEF and PPPRA, and revoke all oil import contracts except those signed with the oil majors.

3. Hire international audit firms to independently audit NNPC, PEF and PPPRA accounts from May 2007 to May 2015.

4. Replace Heads of DSS, EFCC and ICPC, and charge the new heads with concluding the trials of fuel subsidy thieves within 6 months.

5. Task the NJC & EFCC to scrutinize the bank accounts and assets of Federal High Court, Appeal Court and Supreme Court Judges, as well as management staff of all "lucrative" agencies, such as the Nigerian Customs, NPA, etc.
Judges and Nanagement staff of key parastatals who can't explain their wealth will be investigated further, and if found corrupt, will face prosecution.

6. Pension thieves, Abdulrasheed Maina and John Yusuf, shall be retried and the N225 Billion pension funds looted by them and their accomplices shall be recovered. The curious amendments to the Pension Act especially lowering the qualification of the DG Pension Commission shall be reversed to restore the integrity of PenCom and the Fund.

7. Trace & recover the N2.3 trillion subsidy scam perpetrated in 2011 within 3-months. Recovered funds should be channeled towards employment generating road and power projects and must NOT be used to pay workers' salaries.

8. Raise another N2 trillion within 6-months by selling 8 of the 11 aircrafts in the Presidential Fleet, recover some Nigeria's lucrative oil blocks given to cronies and sell to only the oil majors; and block wastages & recover $20-Billion import and tax waivers.

9. Inject N1.5 trillion into the power sector by building 2-3 coal-powered stations in Anambra & Kogi States to power supply.

10. Inject N500-Billion to reactivate all 4 refineries to full capacity.
Thereafter audit & unbundle NNPC into profitable product entities and scrap PPPRA and PEF.

11. Replace the NSA, IGP and all defence chiefs, and constitute panels to investigate their activities from 2010, especially regarding military and police budgets and the Boko Haram insurgency.
All the panels must air proceedings on live TV, and those found culpable will face prosecution.

12. Then get down to the business of running Nigeria esoecially send a bill to NASS on child abuse to prosecute parents of Almajiri children; And enforce PHCN Sales Agreements to ensure that the privitaized DISCOS will make substantial new investments in the power sector instead of asset stripping currently going on.

13. And as matter of public morality ensure that Drug baron Buruji in NOT sworn in as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and forcefully bundle him to USA to face the Law. And furthermore ensure that Mr. Wike is NOT sworn in as Governor of Rivers State to rein in the culture of impunity and glaring electoral fraud in Nigeria. Attorney General of the Federation MUST NOT usurp the duties of Attorney General of Rivers State.

This is a very good example that nothing lasts forever. Change indeed is the only thing that is constant.
Had GEJ won the election, this one would have been untouchable. He would have been getting ready to be sworn in to go and make laws for the likes of us.

Maybe, if he had been responding this quickly to issues concerning the Niger Delta when he was the Minister, the Ministry would have been better positioned in the scheme of things than it is today

I am not and has never been a fan of GEJ'S government but walahi talahi (hope I got that right), if Massob does not withdraw or at best deny this demand of releasing the so called Rev King before May 29th, it (Massob) can as well bid farewells to whatever reputation and support it presently enjoys.

Before the psycophants and attention seekers start talking let me quickly say that anyone has the right to spend his or her money anyway they like.
However, what was the motive of sharing the receipt on social networks?
Is it to mock hundreds of hungry and deprived youths we see roaming around Warri everyday or to impress who?

Sports › Re: Adebayor's Sister Respond: Our Family Doesnt Need You by Emmahunk(m): 2:43pm On May 08, 2015
Wealth and popularity without family is rubbish.
What will your family do to you that will make you go online to belittle them.
Bought a car for your mom, so what? People have been known to have started car business for their parents. Even Mikel started a transport business for the father!
You bought them a house, even if it's true, people also buy estates for their family.
Please come off your high horse and stop disgracing yourself and your family.
You have to be able to love your family first before you can learn to love your fans.

Since when has choosing husbands been included in the functions of the Nigeria Police?
Must the Police be mentioned in everything wicked, shameful and dis honorable?
This is the 21st century for crying out loud. No one chooses life partner for the other anymore!
Surprising and so disgusting that even the so called step father that lives abroad doesn’t know any better

Travel › Re: Serious Fighting Going On Now At Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport,Abuja(Pics by Emmahunk(m): 8:16am On May 03, 2015
Violence never solves a problem even when it must have been very frustrating to have a 6pm flight canceled at 9.05pm without a care in the world about the welfare of the passengers.
Having said that, it's pertinent to also talk about the shabby treatment paying customers are given in this Countryby sservice providers generally not just Aero Contractors.
Light and water bills that you never enjoyed are often given to you for payment.
You at times wait for a government official for hours in his office without anyone giving you any explanation why he or she is not in the office
In our public hospitals, lives have been lost because the doctor on call could not be reached.
Honestly, it could be frustrating but rather than resorting to violence, I think it's high time we started suing some of these agencies like people do abroad. We should stop taking all in our stride and waive it away calling 'Nigeria way'. We just can't continue like this.

Rev Fr Emmanuel Edeh of Madonna University is a strong disciplinarian but I doubt if he has the time to go on net. My heart is bleeding at this story and I call on our ever reliable DSSS to move into action immediately. The ropes are familiar to them and gathering whatever evidence that is needed is not a problem. Please, don't go waiting for a formal petition because you might not get one.
There is an urgent need not just to weed these demons out of the school but to see them in jail soonest.
