Family › Re: Pictures Of Lady Who Brought Her Maid To Fan Her In Salon Go Viral by Emmahunk(m): 7:01am On Nov 25, 2015
I used to be so proud of quoting Nairaland as my source of information . However, with stories like this I read here everyday, I am begining to have a change of mind.
Common sense shoul tell us that even groundnut sellers go to salons with at least fans and there is no argument of light because the dryers need light so at least there must be a generator.
Again , the salon am seeing here is a standard salon that should have air conditioners . I wish the woman in that pix is someone I know, we should be heading to Court by now

Linda, please can you show us where you were living before this $3m mansion?
Getting real sick of all the publicity. Your sister should look for other ways of coming to limelight please.
Genevieve Nnaji , Ini Edo and the rest are making multi billion dollar investments and yet keeping it modest.

No one seems to be asking about the parents of the fifteen year old girl ? What possible reason could the daughter have given to be permitted to sleep outside ?
Boyfriend and sleeping out at 15. By 20 only God knows what she would have turned into.

johnydon22:
If it is true that they violated the state residential plan and was not an approved structure then the government was right to pull it down.

It is time Nigerians start adhering to the stipulated laws of the state in their activities and not be crying foul that the country is not good when they are the ones doing it and making the cities look unplanned by encroaching into governmental space when building.

That it is a church building doesn't exempt it from being demolished once it goes against the guide or violated the state laws.

Nobody is exempted or should be accorded special treatment in the government ...
And it took the Government two whole years to discover that it's laws have been violated?
Look deeper, there is something more to this than meets the eyes.
Daddy Adeboye, is right in asking everyone to be calm . Am sure if the Government acted wrongfully , that God will fight his own battle.
Crime › Re: NDLEA Impounds Bullion Vans Loaded With Indian Hemp In Ogun by Emmahunk(m): 6:27am On Nov 05, 2015
This news sounds so vague . Is there an an attempt to conceal details of some sort?
We all know that bullion vans move with Police escorts. What happened to these escorts? Why were the vans abandoned? Who was chasing them? Finally, who is most likely to investigate abandoned bullion vans? The Police or NDLEA?
There is more to this story joor. Who is protecting who?

What a shame that people like you who presumably are never broke have sold their souls to the devil .
My simple prayer is that your own daughter be presented to you as kola nut in one of such parties soonest. Oya, claim the prayer.

Igbo kwenu yeeehhh...Won a so e nu yeeehhhh
Why are you people so crude?I was expecting to see beautiful houses not mud huts angry
Una just dey disgrace us home and abroad,Sha no carry ur biafr
aud go vagina,sorry Virginia
I honestly don't understand why our youths of today are so blinded with ethnic and tribal hatred to the point of blindness in sound reasoning.
If you are to see beautiful houses rather than mud houses, what then makes it an Igbo village? The houses with their thatched roofs , the clay pots, the well swept courtyards, the yam barns, the different colonies and sizes of masquerade , oh my dear, those make up a true Igbo setting. Our culture is our culture and should not be seen as a disgrace.
Rather, advanced fee fraud, love scam, money laundering, drugs and the like are the things that bring disgrace NOT a beautiful Igbo village of mud houses
Politics › Re: Women Protest Nnamdi Kanu's Arrest; Demand His Release - Vanguard by Emmahunk(m): 5:24pm On Oct 20, 2015
This craze for Biafra nonsense is getting out of hand and must be squarely addressed.
Ikemba Odumegwu Ojukwu of blessed memory simply made one last wish before his demise. He said, " Ndi Igbo, ( meaning Igbo people) , this is my last wish, GIVE ME PETER OBI AS GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE"
He who founded Biafra and fought for it did not ask for Biafra as his last wish.
My question is, if we are given Biafra today, who will be OUR leader?
Most surprising is the fact that the so called protesters started from Delta, an area that totally scuttled the Biafran dream during the Civil war.
Enough of this craze Biko nu !

Travel › Re: Eight Annoying Questions Nigerian Airport Officials Ask International Travellers by Emmahunk(m): 5:56pm On Oct 03, 2015
It's unfortunate that sometimes when we think we know it all, we end up exposing our ignorance.
I have gone through your post and my dear believe it or not, 99% of the questions are necessary even the one that most amuses you.
An official who asks how long you are staying is at that point doing a mental check of the travelling allowance you declared and how far that can go. This is to avoid you turning into a public charge.
Who are you going to is no way useless as it's one of ICAO'S requirements that a traveller's contact in host Country should be known. This contact can even be a hotel where you have reserved accommodation.
On the question of the amount you are traveling with, today in Nigeria, there is a maximum amount of money you are allowed to travel with depending on your purpose of traveling. This is therefore the reason you might be asked, 'what are you going to London for?'
Even the question of are you on leave is not dumb? The genuineness of your traveling is what is being evaluated.
Wonder why you don't find the questions on America's visa application dumb. Questions like have you mental illness, are you a sponsor of any terrorist group etc.
Just learn to answer the questions and forget how useless they sound

And for the records, teenage is between ages thirteen and Nineteen please.

I remember people calling PMB an old man and insisting that the Nation needs the younger generation of leaders. What a laugh? Read comments on Nairaland forum and see how dark the hearts of the so called younger generation are with tribal hatred.
I weep for my beloved Country.

Nigerians and English. What has the Country benefited from all the years of Privatization?
Take power for instance, despite the fact that hundreds of thousands were thrown into the labour market, power supply had even became worse until the coming of PMB.
Since you chose to talk about his antecedents, don't forget that
IF PMB SAYS HE CAN DO SOMETHING THAT BY THE GRACE OF GOD, HE SURE WILL DO IT. Abeg make una leave him alone for now

If you understand the legal process, you will know that this even helps Saraki as the case will be delayed!! You idiots must understand that no matter what the CCT rules, nothing will be executed as Saraki will remain in power until the Higher courts rule on the case!! Only the ignorant opponent of Saraki will be jubilating at this news!!

Judge declines, the case gets stalled and delayed and who loses?
Surprising that someone like you who sounds so educated and enlightened, cannot make your points without calling your fellow Nairalanders "idiots".

It amazes me that some people still find it convenient to apply ethnicity and religion to the mayhem by BH in the North.
Whether Christians or Moslems, Notherners or Southerners, we are talking of the lives of human beings and Nigerians.
One thing should be clear to all of us, what is happening in the North can easily start happening anywhere else if we don't collectively support PMB to eradicate it wholistically.
Enough of this religious and tribalistic nonsense.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is God Going To Destroy HIS ENEMIES In Hellfire?(photo) by Emmahunk(m): 9:04am On Sep 20, 2015
Teempakguy:
posts like this make me ANGRY.

First off, a GOOD God would be the champion of equality. Despite the fact that he created us, he would view us as equals. The way you're describing God . . . sounds like darken rahl or the fire lord in avatar. Just admit that we're pawns. Mere slaves, or tools to be manipulated by God, stop saying God loves us and so he sent his only begotten son . . . and stuff . . . if he doesn't veiw us as his equals, then he wouldn't need to do all that. He could just simply discard us.

Secondly. NOTHING justifies hellfire. NOTHING. It doesn't matter how much you try to sugarcoat it, the fact is still there that the concept is very cruel and wicked. Imagine the six million Jews that Hitler horrifically killed. Well, most of them were not Christians, so I guess they will burn in hell, then? Before the missionaries came. Several generations of native tribes flourished on west Africa. The owu war was a very brutal war that claimed many lives. I guess they will also burn! The king of Dahomey once killed ONE THOUSAND prisoners in one day to appease HIS God, imagine the surprise of the innocent prisoners which included women and children when they find themselves undergoing the same punishment with the Dahomey king.

Dude, you have a brain! Reason! Think! Do you really think God is that wicked? If he is, then why is he lying that he is a good God that loves us? Can you cut off your son's fingers for stealing all your money?
I have nothing to discuss with you further on this, take God to Court or hire assassins to deal with him.
May God forgive you
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is God Going To Destroy HIS ENEMIES In Hellfire?(photo) by Emmahunk(m): 8:16am On Sep 20, 2015
I believe it was Job that God once asked "where were you when I formed the foundations of earth that thou should ask me questions" Having said that, I think one can only begin to ask why God should ask him to forgive his enemies when God himself will burn his own enemies in hell fire when ;
1. The person sees himself as one and equal with God
2. The person believes he has same rights and privileges with God.
As for the respondent who said that "it's one of the many contradictios of the bible", please be informed that the Bible is not contradictory in anyway but rather COMPLETE. Little wonder Hosea 4:6 says my people perish for lack of knowledge.
I believe other people will respond to your other questions.
Shalom.
