Politics › Re: INEC Rejects Governor T. A. Orji As Senator- Elect by Emmahunk(m): 8:25am On Apr 10, 2015
Obaiyski:
Umuahia, the Abia State capital, was agog on Monday evening following information that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected the result being paraded by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as being that of Abia Central District.

Daily Sun gathered that Gov Theodore Orji was roundly beaten at the poll including in his polling unit, ward and local government by the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ahamdi Emmanuel Nweke, but that PDP in connivance some Independent National Electoral (INEC) officials allegedly manipulated the result in favour of the governor.

It was also gathered that following complaints lodged at the INEC headquarters, Abuja, a three-man committee was set up to look into the allegation of result manipulation.

“Although the committee’s report has not been made public, but a source revealed the APGA candidate won the election and members are taking their findings back to the INEC headquarters.

When news of the development filtered into town, the capital city went agog with residents saying that at last, the man they voted for, would represent them in the Senate.

A prominent Umuahia chief, who hails from the same area with Gov Orji, was said to have held an elaborate party to celebrate the development.

Addressing newsmen, Chief Nweke said there was no time he had doubt about his ability to defeat Gov Orji at the poll, stating that his non-performance in office made victory easier for him.

Nweke said it was not only that he defeated Orji, but that he beat him at his (governor’s) polling unit, which, according to him, meant his kinsmen rejected him and that he also defeated the governor at the wife’s polling unit.

He said: “If I could beat the governor at his polling unit and that of his wife, all in Umuahia, which means total rejection by his kinsmen, where else could he get the votes that will make him to defeat me? Could it be from my own ward and local government? It’s impossible.

“How could people have voted for APGA and they are writing a different result? That’s why I like what INEC at the headquarters is doing; it will restore people’s confidence in the system.

“T.A Orji should emulate President Goodluck Jonathan and concede defeat so that peace will reign in the area. If President Jonathan with all the powers at his beck could concede defeat, why shouldn’t T.A Orji?” While thanking the outgoing President for his statesmanship by not allowing the blood of innocent Nigerians to be shed in the pursuit of self-satisfaction and urge for power, he called on President Jonathan to call to order one of his ministers, who he said had been using the military and other agencies of government to rig elections in the state and also intimidating opposition party members.

He also called on the chairman of INEC, Prof Attahiru Jega and other stakeholders to ensure credible polls on Saturday, alleging that they have obtained reports on the plot by the PDP to hire thugs from Abala Ibeme in Obingwa LGA and Rivers State to unleash mayhem on Abians in the nine local government areas of Ngwaland, set the famous Ariaria International Market ablaze as well as cause confusion among voters on the day of the election.

He also alleged of an ongoing thumbprinting of fake ballot papers in an undisclosed location in Ngwaland, plans to rig the election among other hidden agenda including the planned mass arrest of APGA senior officials a few days to the governorship poll.

Crime › Re: Orekoya's Update: Nanny Demands N15M For Kidnapped Children by Emmahunk(m): 7:32am On Apr 10, 2015
emusmith:
A nanny, Mary Akinloye, who allegedly kidnapped three kids in the Surulere area of Lagos State has demanded N15m from the victim’s parents, PUNCH Metro has learnt.

Our correspondent learnt that the family was contacted on Thursday by the suspect and others, who were suspected to be members of her group. They were said to have demanded the N15m as ransom.

PUNCH Metro had reported on Wednesday that the Orekoya family had posted information on OLX, an online sales portal, seeking the service of a nanny.

Our correspondent reported that Akinloye indicated interest and gave the Orekoyas the contacts of two people who she said were her relatives. It was reported that the family agreed to formalilse documentation with the purported relatives before the week ran out.

After the 23-year-old resumed for work on Tuesday, she was said to have taken the three children ─ Aderomola (11 months old), Adedamola (4 years old), Demola (6 years old) ─ out, while their parents were away.

She had since not returned. A family friend, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the kidnappers contacted the family and demanded N15m on Thursday.

The information was confirmed by another friend who put up the post on a social medium, Facebook.
He said, “Is it a crime to employ a house help? The kidnappers have demanded N15m.”

Efforts to reach the family were abortive as they continued to reject calls made to their lines.
They also did not reply to three text messages sent to them on the matter.

The Police Public Relations, Kenneth Nwosu, said investigations were on.
He said, “Investigations are on and that is all I can say for now.

“There are things you do that can jeopardise investigation.
“What is important in a case like this is to ensure that the children are returned hale and hearty. There are information you may have and if you disclose it, you could break the line of communication. So, we are still on the matter to ensure the safe return of the kids.”

Getting a stranger online to take charge of your children and home because of career or business pursuit. Hmmm.
Some ugly and deadly mistakes we all make in our lives.
May God cause the kidnappers to make a MISTAKE that will lead to their arrest and the recovery of the children.

Politics › Re: PDP Queries Buhari ‘indifference’ To Burning National Issues by Emmahunk(m): 7:42am On Apr 09, 2015
folay66:
The Peoples Democratic Party has expressed deep concerns over the “apparent indifference” of the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to what it described as burning national issues threatening the unity and stability of the country.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olisa Metuh, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday said “while well-meaning Nigerians and the international community are celebrating the peace fostered by the patriotic action of President Goodluck Jonathan in conceding defeat, Buhari and his party, the APC, have been moving around the country instigating division, engineering crisis and heightening tension in the polity.

“Whereas Buhari had assured Nigerians that he would be the President of the entire nation and not of a political party, his actions in the last one week show otherwise as he has continued to display sectionalism and insensitivity to matters inimical to the survival of our democracy and well-being of Nigerians.

“Instead of settling down to plan a smooth transition and design ways of deepening democracy in appreciation of the mandate given to him, General Buhari has tacitly encouraged his men to foment crisis and cause panic in the bid to muzzle personal freedom and impose a reign of terror in the land.”

For instance, Metuh alleged that Buhari has remained indifferent to the crisis in Ekiti where majority of the lawmakers who are all members of the APC have been planning to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose.

Metuh added that, “APC’s ambition in Ekiti coupled with its odious triumphalism in the aftermath of the Presidential election have led to avoidable confrontations and near breakdown of law and order in the state as the people rise to defend the mandate freely given to the PDP.

“It is indeed unfortunate that while his men are causing crisis and threatening Nigerians, General Buhari, instead of calling them to order, displays his insensitivity by jetting around the country campaigning for his party.

“If this sort of insensitivity and arrogance of victory are foretaste of what to expect in a Buhari presidency, then our dear nation and its people are headed for a long trek in the wilderness.”

Meanwhile, Metuh in reaction to reports of defection from its fold described the defectors as political trojans, who from within have ceaselessly worked against the interest of the party and now fear that they would face sanctions for their actions.

What do you expect GMB to do? Stop the lawmakers from from trying to impeach Fayose if he has contravened the law because the are his party members?

[quot, e author=emusmith post=32422454]
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has dismissed the purported impeachment notice posted online by the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in the State House of Assembly, saying he was yet to be served any impeachment notice.

Fayose, while speaking at a audience participatory programme; “Meet Your Governor” aired on the State Television, EKTV, Ekiti Radio, Progress FM and NTA, Ado Ekiti today.
He described those plotting his impeachment as the same enemies of Ekiti State that plotted his exit from office in 2006.

“Nobody served me any impeachment notice. I only saw the notice online like every other person.”
The governor, who described himself as an Israelite said; “I’m like Israel that is in the midst of enemies but will always prevail. Whoever wants to remove me will first have to impeach God.”

He said the APC people were trying to get at him because he wholeheartedly supported President Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection bid.
“They are doing all these just to get at me because of my support for President Jonathan and I have no regret for supporting the president.

“Let me say it again, I have not been served any impeachment notice. The House of Assembly is also on recess and Dr Adewale Omirin is not the speaker of the State House of Assembly.
“Omirin is in court, challenging his impeachment and he can’t be challenging his impeachment in court and at the same time laying claim to being Speaker,” he said.

While urging the APC to accept defeat as done by President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP, Governor Fayose said; “By the power of God, they lost 16 – 0 on June 21, 2014, they lost 16 – 0 again on March 28, they will lose 26 – 0 on Saturday, April 11.”

Today, Fayose has boasted that anyone that wants to remove him must first remove God. What a blasphemy!
He likened himself to Israel but quickly forgot that even the Israelites tasted so many times the fiery anger of God. He even forgot that there was a time they were carried off to Babylon in captivity.
If Fayose has a spiritual leader, I think this is the time to tell him some home truth.
And before his psychophants turn up to teach me how to understand written English, let me warn that God's anger will extend to whosoever tries to justify this blasphemy.

coded01:
General Overseer, Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has warned the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, to be cautious about appointing those who are to constitute his government.

tunde-bakareBakare, made this statement at the 26th anniversary of his church, tagged, ‘Democracy audit: chances, choices and consequences.”, stressing that the wasted years in Nigeria can only be restored if Buhari surrounds himself with men and women of goodwill, great intellectual capacity, competence and character.

He further advised Buhari to start the fight against corruption from his circle and lay a good example, saying change cannot be achieved if these were not done.

“I pray sincerely that not all those who facilitated his winning the election will be among those who run the government. I did say before the election that I trust the person of General Buhari but not all those around him.

“I mean every word of it because many of them are nothing but Ali Baba and 40 thieves. And if these are the same who would go into government, you can’t fight evil with evil. You can as well kiss the anti-corruption stance of Mr. President-elect goodbye.” He explained.

Bakare prayed for Buhari to have the needed wisdom and strength, noting that people were already submitting applications to him to serve in the incoming administration.

“The vultures are now going round and round. If he does not have quality people around him, then they will put round pegs in square holes and within two years, we are back to square one.”

In addition, the cleric commended the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega for his leadership despite in the face of grave accusation and provocation by critics.

He also praised President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat timely, and stated that the president had written his name in gold just with that remarkable democratic act.

Pastor Bakare's observations are in no way ambiguous and does not need him being a politician to know what he is talking about.
Truly GMB will win the hearts of Nigerians more if 'he will start sweeping his house from his bedroom '.
There will be no greater reward for GEJ 's sacrifice for a United, peaceful and better Nigeria than to shock the world and start his anti corruption crusade from some of the thieves around him.
Anything less than this, will be paying lip service to the fight against corruption.
We are all watching and waiting.

Fellow Nairalanders,a problem shared they say is a problem half solved,on that faithful morning,my friend left for work in a hurry cuz he was already late, after about thirty minutes he discovered that he was not with his tablet"phone",he had no choice but to go back home to get his phone,on getting home the first thing he discovered was that the door was locked which is unusual at that time of the day as his wife was supposed to be busy preparing the children for school before going to her shop,he rang the door bell but it took sometime for his wife to get the door, even when she did she wasn't her usual self and that raised his suspicion because of what neighbors have been telling him about his wife but he chosed not to believe.
He told his wife that he came back because he forgot his phone, his wife offered to fetch the handset but he followed her inside, the children who ought to hv taken their bath were still sleeping, since it was a room and parlor the guy entered the bedroom and behold the intruder was hiding beside their wardrobe.
without making any trouble he asked the guy to leave his house which he did.
My friend left for work but have not returned to his house till date,my friend always complained of his wife starving him of sex,he also told me that for the five yrs of his marriage his wife has never for once initiated sex, anytime he makes the move she always have one excuse or the other.their marriage is blessed with two kids,a boy and a girl,he has been sending money for the children's upkeep but now his mum and family members are sueing for peace,he said he left his house for the woman because of his children whom he said ll be better taken care of by their mother since they are still very young,he has also vowed never to marry again but now his mother is mounting pressure on him to forgive his wife and go back home, what should he do?go back to his wife or go ahead and get another apartment for himself?the woman in question said it was the devil that pushed her into it but have not shown deep remorse for her action, each time she calls my friend its always about the money for the children's wellfair.
Nairalanders the ball is now in your court, pls matured advice if needed.
Your friend is a real man, he loved the wife even to the extent of saving her from disgrace which was his reason for allowing the man go without a scene. By that action, he further saved his children (if they are even his) the agony of having a terrible picture of a disgraced mom etched on their young minds.
He has however, taken a right decision. He has not thrown the woman out but left the house for her and the children.
Allowing his mother to pressurize him into going back to an adulterous woman who has no remorse is simply digging his own grave.
Finally, I will advise you take the children for DNA before you continue spending for their upkeep.

if you are a guy, and you go after an under age girl. below 18. you are one of the problems we have in this country. and God almighty will visit you with his wrath.
Failed parenting should be addressed first. When parents can no longer give account of the whereabouts of their under aged children and most often do not bother, prostitution, drug, robbery, gambling etc will be the unfortunate result.
Our Value system has so much changed that some families even encourage their under aged children to begin fending for themselves. It's a shame.
Politics › Re: Pdp’ll Resist Plot To Remove Rivers REC’ by Emmahunk(m): 8:40am On Apr 06, 2015
PhockPhockMan:
THE Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has vowed to resist an alleged plot by the Independent National Electoral Commission in connivance with the All Progressives Congress to remove the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Gesila Khan.

The state PDP specifically accused the state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, of planning to bribe INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, to remove Khan and replace her with a card-carrying member of the APC.

The State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Samuel Nwanosike, who spoke with The PUNCH in a telephone interview on Saturday, cautioned Jega to stay away from Rivers and allow the state REC to be.

It will be recalled that the PDP polled 1,487,075 votes while the APC got 69,238 votes, an election result that the APC in the state had continued to describe as unrealistic.

But Nwanosike explained that the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly elections was the wish of the people of the state, adding that the state REC had done nothing to merit the alleged plot to remove her.

He added that the governor was planning to influence the appointment of some APC members in the state as INEC ad hoc employees with a view to rigging the election in favour of the ruling party in the state.

“Jega should stay away from Rivers. We (PDP) are aware of the plan to change the Rivers State REC. As I speak to you, Governor Amaechi has paid Jega so that the APC can manipulate the governorship election in the state.

“The plan is to remove the Rivers State REC and bring in a card-carrying member of the APC to replace her. We will resist any move to remove Gesila Khan. Rivers people will resist plan to remove her,” Nwanosike stressed.

However, the APC described the allegation against Amaechi and INEC as laughable, explaining that it was not in the character of Amaechi to bribe anybody to achieve a legitimate objective.

The State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Chris Finebone, told The PUNCH that Jega remained an impeccable character that would never be bribed by anybody.

Finebone described the call for the removal of the state REC as legitimate and recalled that the state APC had raised the alarm in the past that Khan had compromised on her duty to conduct a free and fair election in Rivers State.

“All these allegations against Amaechi and INEC are laughable and false. Nobody needs to bribe Jega or INEC before the state REC, who has obviously compromised, is removed. We raised the alarm before the election that the woman was partial, but nobody listened to us.

“On the allegation that Amaechi is planning to bribe Jega, the PDP in the state should know that it takes two persons for a bribe to take place, and the two persons mentioned are not interested in anything called bribe.

“So, you will agree with me that the story of bribe is an afterthought which must be disregarded by Rivers people and Nigerians. We (APC) have said that the current REC iin Rivers must leave and we are maintaining that,” Finebone added.

Politics › Re: PDP Will Win Gubernatorial Poll In 24 States – Mu’azu by Emmahunk(m): 7:44pm On Apr 05, 2015
bvibesblogger:
Barely a week after conceding to defeat to the opposition party in the March 28 presidential elections, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Adamu Mu’azu has redesigned and schemed out the 24 states it will secure victory in Saturday’s, April 11, 2015 governorship elections.

Mu’azu, in a statement on Saturday urged the party’s governorship candidates to make sure the party wins in at least 24 states.

The PDP Chairman listed the states to be cleared by the PDP to comprise, Lagos, Imo and Rivers States, in addition to the 21 states currently controlled by the PDP namely: Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Benue, Plateau, Niger, Kogi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Kaduna, Ekiti and Ondo.

Mu’azu, who described PDP’s candidates as “first class materials”, pointed out that the victory of PDP candidates at the elections would return the party to its winning ways.

“I urge the PDP faithful to pick up the pieces and ensure that we return quickly to our old winning ways. There should be no room for voter apathy that was a major factor to our losing the presidential election. While our opponents were savouring their famous victory, we should out flank them and corner at least two thirds of the states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is not an impossible target if we return to our elements with immediate effect. We have done it before and we can do it again. Nothing will be sweeter than PDP taking Lagos, our own Rivers State and Imo. Our candidates in these states are first class material who have fully penetrated the political structures of those states and are set to win,” he said.

“The reason is simple. Our party is used to bouncing back whenever we experience a setback. The key to winning the remaining election is heavy turnout and voting the PDP all the way. There should be no tactical voting. Be consistent in your support for the party. What we experienced in the presidential election is merely a hiccup which we must cast out in the gubernatorial polls. All PDP supporters must remember their pedigree, our track record and history of the party and the source of our electoral feats of the last sixteen years. We are the reason that democracy has taken root in Nigeria since 1999. This is something every member of our great party should be very proud of. We have only lost a battle but the war to bring our country to the highest level of democratic governance is still to be won or lost,” Mu’azu said.

Hi Nairalanders,

I didn't say anything cuz I do not want my family to break up. Before it was one lady but now I have found out that they are two. It seems like as the days go deeper he gets more and more into it.

Yesterday he told me to put a password for him on his phone. I tried avoiding doing it but he was persistent and at the end I ended up putting it for him but my conscience has really started disturbing me. I dont know if I should tell her because I don't want my family to break up and at the same time I don't want to see my mother hurt. She loves and adores him, although everyone has his/her shortcomings.

He is a well respected man and my fiancee respects him more than anything. I feel like I am suffocating.

Please what should I do? I really need good advice

Thanks
Major 466, that advice though given with good intentions is not right for the family's name and honor. In issues like this, no elder, no matter how close should be trusted.
Confront your dad politely but firmly. Involve your sister/brother that he is so fond of. As in all things be prayerful about the whole stuff.

For starters, the United States give two years multiple entry visa for their B1/B2 visa. At the port of entry, you are given permission to stay up to 6 months in the first instance and even if you over stay the six months, you are still free to move around as long as you don't commit any offence.
United States is a Country you can live for decades with expired travel documents as long as you don't run foul of the law that will make a cop ask for your ID. This, include ordinary traffic offences like over speeding, safety belt etc
Besides running foul of the law, no cop will ever stop you on the street or freeways to ask for your ID. So I really don't understand what she meant by "hiding" you in her house.
On jobs, yeah, because you do not have permission to work, you can get jobs that pay about $8 an hour "under the table". By the time you put in about eight hours a day and realize that after eight back breaking hours with only 30 minutes break period, that you have only made $64, then, you will be appreciative when next someone sends you a $100. You will even be more thankful to God for making you a Nigerian
Business › Re: Offloading Of Dollars Triggers Massive Naira Appreciation At Parallel Market by Emmahunk(m): 4:43pm On Apr 04, 2015
Adesiji77:
The peaceful outcome of the recently concluded presidential election has seen massive offloading of the United States dollars at the parallel segment of the forex market since Monday.

This has also seen a significant appreciation of the naira at that segment of the market as politicians, investors and other currency users in the country who hitherto were storing the greenback for fear of post-election violence have been flooding the market with the greenback.

Specifically, the naira which had been hovering between N215 and N222 to a dollar since this year closed at N200 to a dollar on Friday. However, at the interbank market, the naira has remained at N197 to a dollar

"The dollar supply in the market presently is more than the supply and that is why we are seeing the current level of appreciation in the parallel market,"
Alhaji Yusuff Ganiyu, who trades in foreign currency in Marina, Lagos, said.

Currency analyst at Ecobank Nigeria, Mr. Kunle Ezun told THISDAY that the outcome of the presidential election was in line with analysts’ projections.
“The emergence of Buhari connotes positive market sentiment. A lot of people thought there would be post-election violence, but that phone call from President Jonathan completely changed the perception about Nigeria in the international market.

“Also, because of the fact that a lot of people anticipated that the dollar might fall, they are selling dollars and this is one of the reasons the naira is appreciating in the black market,” he explained.

The naira had slumped 18 per cent against the dollar as oil prices collapsed by almost half since June. This had prompted Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to lower banks’ trading limits and introduce a new dealing system in February that prevents lenders from buying dollars on the interbank market without matching orders from customers needing to import goods.

“One of the first big challenges the new government is going to have to face is what on earth to do with the naira,” Samuel Vecht, who oversees $2.7 billion in five emerging-frontier-market funds at BlackRock told Bloomberg recently.
“Steps have to be taken to ensure reserves don’t keep falling.”

Analysts at Renaissance Capital Limited specifically noted that the collaboration would ensure that corruption, wastage and revenue leakages, among others, are tackled.

The report added: “Overall, our views are mixed on the implications of a Buhari victory for Nigerian banks. Investors see the asset quality risks but given where valuations are, they have been waiting for three things to justify a re-entry: a recovery in oil prices; fairer valuation of the naira, and some level of comfort on the political environment. Oil prices have recovered somewhat from their 2015 lows but remain a wild card."

Buhari’s win over President Jonathan marked Nigeria’s first democratic transition of power from one party to another since independence from Britain in 1960.

The naira’s current interbank value is appropriate and the discrepancy between that and the parallel rate isn’t an indication that it’s under pressure, the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele had said at the last Monetary Policy Committee meeting between March 23 and 24.

Music/Radio › Re: A Top Nigerian Artist Just Offered Him 5M To Buy His Song... Should He Sell? by Emmahunk(m): 8:27am On Apr 04, 2015
lagos360:
A friend has been into music for like eternity. He'd always sing for us (friends). He's an IT guy, not that he's making millions but fairly comfortable. He was into a very serious relationship last year and composed a song that he meant to be played on his wedding day. Unfortunately things went sour and the relationship was ended. He finished the song about two weeks ago. We convinced him to put it online and the response has been small but exciting. Thing is, he got an email, then a call from one of the current top 10 artist in the Nigerian music industry offering to buy the song for 5 Million naira cash.

Point is, cos of the response he's been getting from the song, he's thinking of recording an album. We've been talking of taking the songs to radio stations (we understand it's not going to be free and we could pull it off to get a fair amount of airplay).

I don't want to sound arrogant but 5M while quite an amount isn't enough I think. This song in question is the type of song that's just different and unique in its own way. I think my friend's song can shape his music career just like "African Queen" shaped 2Baba's career.
The fact that a top Nigerian artiste got interested in the song in the first place and want it in his or her name is enough proof that the song is a "hit".
Take a chance, go to a known marketer and strike a deal.
See you at the top!

Editor1:
President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday promised to speak on his experience in office “at the appropriate time”.

He was speaking with state house reporters after the Good Friday service organised by the Aso Villa Chapel.

“Don’t worry, I will talk to you at the appropriate time,” he said when approached on his way from the chapel to his official residence. Jonathan was defeated in the March 28 presidential election and promptly congratulated the winner, Muhammadu Buhari, who will officially take over from him on May 29.

He became president in 2010, and won his first election in 2011. His wife, Patience, and mother, Eunice, did not attend the three-hour service.

I have never had anything personal against this man except that he allowed the power drunk wolves around him to hijack his governance.
He has learnt through the hard way and I honestly look forward to his speech

Politics › Re: Surround Yourself With ‘Right’ People, Mbaka Tells Buhari by Emmahunk(m): 9:56pm On Apr 02, 2015
kahal29:
Fiery Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) on his victory in the March 28 Presidential election.
Mbaka, whose New Year Message, “From Goodluck to Badluck,” became a major talking point during the campaigns for the election, said Buhari’s emergence was a divine victory for all Nigerians.
Speaking through his spokesman, Maximus Ugwuoke, Mbaka also noted that Buhari’s victory was a fulfillment of his prophecy in the New Year Message.
However, he urged the President-Elect to seek divine wisdom before appointing people who will work with him.
According to him, President Goodluck Jonathan’s biggest problem was that he surrounded himself with the “wrong people.”
Mbaka advised Buhari to avoid making the same mistake.
The cleric’s spokesman said, “It is with vindictive joy and glory to God that the Adoration Ministry, the nation and indeed the world saw the fulfillment of Fr. Mbaka’s New Year prophesy of change with the miraculous, victorious emergence of General Muhammed Buhari at the March 28th polls as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We wish to restate that before President Goodluck became the President of this country, Fr. Mbaka prophesied it in his message titled ‘Okolo.’
“Today again, Buhari’s victory, among other lessons it portends to Nigerians, has once more confirmed to all and sundry that Fr. Mbaka is indeed a true Prophet of God and that his New Year message was indeed from the Oracle of the Holy Spirit as he declared.

“The ministry with magnanimous heart holds no grudges against anyone who attacked it in one way or the other at the rage of the controversies surrounding Fr. Mbaka’s message and view their actions as being orchestrated by their misconstruing of Fr. Mbaka’s prophetic calling.

“The Ministry joins the rest of Nigerians to congratulate Buhari as God’s chosen instrument of change to tackle the myriads of problems facing Nigeria and pray God to endow him with the wisdom to go about this onerous task.
“We see Buhari’s victory as divine victory to all Nigerians irrespective of our religious and ethnic divide.”
Urging Buhari to seek divine wisdom before choosing the people he would work with, he said, “The prayer of Fr. Mbaka is that God will give Buhari wisdom not to surround himself with wrong people – that was the major problem Jonathan’s administration faced.
“Fr. Mbaka has advocated that Nigerians should be patient with Buhari because the holes dug in the country are too much – holes of corruption, holes of unemployment, among others.”
The cleric said he will be the first to condemn Buhari if he fails to live up to expectations.

Told is not the right word. He should be warned to leave the Igbos out of whatever war he believes he is about fighting.
Since the war ended, when did ever come out to say he supported the Igbos and their quest?
Before April 1st 2015 and GMB's vvictory, when had he ever included the Igbos in any of his speeches or showed any form of affiliation. The Igbos are wiser now and highly satisfied with the outcome of the polls. As a matter of fact, many Igbos went the extra mile to see this change through.
Asari Dokubo, whoever he might be does not worth anything to an average Igbo man who does not need to share the creeks with fishes and reptiles to survive or blowing up pipeline installations to become relevant. Farming, business and professionalism are our areas of speciality ranging from doctors, Lawyers, politicians down to masons, blacksmiths etc.
Finally, Igbos will not take kindly to any attempt to drag their name into a baseless fight.

Politics › Re: Post-Election: "I See Death Of 'Great' Politician In Nigeria" - TB Joshua by Emmahunk(m): 12:29pm On Mar 30, 2015
Makweembo:
Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has warned of the death of a prominent politician due to ‘heated up’ politics in the wake of the closely fought Nigerian elections.

“I am seeing Nigerians heating up politics,” the cleric told his congregation at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday 29th March 2015.

“Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week and next week, make sure you fast and pray,” Joshua stated just before the close of his church service at 7pm in a message broadcast live via Christian television station Emmanuel TV.

“They will heat up politics and a great man among the politicians will likely lose his life… I am seeing this kind of thing happening in the night,” he stated, calling on congregants to take heed of his message and maintain ‘an attitude of prayer’ on the days specified in order to ‘save souls’.

Earlier in the service, Joshua reminded congregants of a prophetic message he had shared last year concerning a ‘dark cloud’ hovering over Nigeria. “Well, we can see God’s hand; God is beginning to remove the cloud,” he declared to the delight of attendees.

Explaining what the ‘cloud’ represented, Joshua stated that it meant a situation whereby two political parties would declare themselves as election winners, leading to a state of ‘lawlessness’.

“Whoever wins the race, let us put Nigeria first – the nation first,” he stressed. “The dark cloud I saw last year was two declarations - but I can see the finger of God. Thank you for your prayers.”

The controversial cleric also implored Nigerians to shun violence and consider the nation and its future first. “There is a difference between your faith and politics,” he told his audience and television viewers.

“Don’t play politics as if it is your faith. ‘Do or die’ is not politics. Politics is a game. When you lose, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’; when you win, you say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’.”

He specifically called on Nigerians, especially the youth, to resist the temptation to be ‘used’ by the political class to incite violence or cause bloodshed. “Take care of yourself and don’t allow yourself to be used,” he warned.

“Your future and the future of this nation – Jesus will ask you to give account. What we are doing now is for generations yet unborn. Don’t trade this future for money, thuggery or corruption.”

Joshua also predicted the capture of an international terrorist. “A criminal they have been looking for, for many years, who has been terrorising the world - I am seeing him being caught and displayed to the world on international media,” he announced.
