The elderly woman pictured has allegedly been abandoned on the road, for over two weeks in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos State. According to the twitter user who shared the pictures, her children were the ones who left her there. People around somehow managed to get their numbers to call them to pick her up but they allegedly refused to come. Relevant authorities should kindly find a way to help the woman

Veteran Nollywood actor, Martins Njubuigbo who was diagnosed with liver disease has just been given a life line by Bro Joshua Iginla who is still in the mood of birthday celebration.

The prophet who got wind of the actor's story through multiple online sources, reached out to actor Bruno Iwuoha who confirmed the details to him. As part of his birthday largesse, Iginla then gave a cheque of N1 million to the ailing old man and promised to continue to assist him even after recovery.He said an old man like that should not be subjected to public spectacle for assistance. He also promised to see what else he can do to assist him after recovery.

Bruno, who confirmed the story said he was not surprised when the clergy gave him the cheque for Martin's treatment. He said he was responsible for his own upkeep too during his health challenges.

Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie has revealed some shocking details about her life. Speaking today in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria after making an appearance at a seminar to end violence against children, the Nollywood veteran revealed how she was sexually molested at a young age by a family friend who went on to impregnate her.

“I was a victim of sexual abuse, that was when I was in primary six, I was going to the hospital and somebody called me. The boy used some diabolic means and sexually violated me, when I could not see my period, I refused to tell my mother, because she was very strict.


“I love sharing my experience because at the end of the day I succeeded, If I had not succeed, I would not have been able to be saying it.”

She explained that the pregnancy was about seven months before her mother noticed it.

“My mother asked how it happened and I told her everything; my brother picked a knife and wanted to kill me, but my mother stopped him. It happened that the mother of the boy that violated me was my mother’s friend; the boy’s mother was surprised but the boy denied.

“My mother took me to hospital to abort the pregnancy with a plan of taking me to my grandmother’s place at ‘Ogede’ to stay for one week before returning home. I told her I may lose my life in the process and because she loved me, she then aborted the planned abortion; I feel it was God that spoke through me.

Rita Edochie said her mother took care of the baby while she went to school and called on parents to communicate regularly with their children

“Parents should always listen to their children’s complaints on happenings both in and outside the home.’’

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, says if given the opportunity, he will defeat the Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa in any election in Delta state. Oshiomole said this today May 12th while reacting to a comment credited to PDP governors in the South-South that their party will take over the Edo state government house after the state governorship election holds on September 10th.


“I will defeat Okowa in Delta State. My pedigree speaks for me. My power is not money but my oratory and pedigree. Those who cannot pay salaries want to come and take Edo. He died in an Indian Hospital around 6am today May 5th. The top Lagos socialite was former Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government Area. May his soul rest in peace Amen.

No fewer than seven people were confirmed dead with many others injured after suspected herdsmen launched an attack on Madada and Ruwan Tofa villages in Zamfara state yesterday May 4th.


Confirming the attacks, the state police command's spokesperson, Sanusi Amiru, said a group of suspected herdsmen attacked Madada village to steal petrol from the residents while another group attacked Ruwan Tofa village, killing some people. Both incidents recorded high number of injured persons The police say they are working to restore law and order in both villages.
