Khalesi: Go through the previous pages especially part 8, you'll find details of the procedure for upfront medicals. Team12 simplified it so well, you won't miss anything.
Note to TRV hopefuls, if something is worth doing then it's worth your time and dedication. When you're advised to go through the previous pages of this thread, it's not like one wants to punish and make others suffer. ....... You are right! I started following this thread in May. I read through for months and just applied for my visa early this month. Even now, I still go through old threads once in a while just to get tips on how to study and survive in Canada. ***Edited For the new guys, a very easy way to search this thread for info, lets say on "biometrics". Just type "biometrics travelling to canada nairaland" in google. Thanks to thesoj for this trick. Also go through the posts of the following Tnuola, team12, hayqinsbFX, thesoj . These are the elders in this thread. They have given out so much info here. Cheers |

Zionplace: VERY URGENT: I already submitted my application, did bio and medical. I am at the moment with my sponsor who needs to confirm if I can edit/reuppload the sponsor letter in order to exchange it for the one that was initially uploaded. WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO HOUSE? Unfortunately, you cannot. You can only upload a doc after submission if the VO requests for it. Cheers |

ugonnachimezie54: Please o, is SOP needed for you to get your visa application accepted.. Like is it compulsory to write SOP In the online visa application, it is optional (I dont know about the paper route). But you can write write one to explain/clarify issues in your application that are not apparent to the VO. For example, if you have study gaps or going for a course that is not related in anyway to your undergraduate degree or work experience. Cheers |

kudos4u: Pls I need someone to put me through on Mycic. After I had successfully completed my application then I submitted and I received a msg in my email box, which I was referred to login to Mycic to check my confirmation code but all I can see is sign in partner. Here is my question am I going to pay to view Mycic account, second which partner it's advice able to chose and third how am I going to pay them. Thanks First of all, I dont think you have submitted your application if you have not paid. You have to pay online using a master or visa card before you can submit your application. Secondly, you dont pay to view your account. You should login using GC keyCheers |

ewilusi: Hi, I am of the same predicament, I submitted on the 5th Aug to resume sept but i had to defer for Jan 2016 till date I hvnt gotten any medical call yet. from my tracking number which contains CAAB in it, I learnt it means my application is bin processed here in Lagos. So do I still do a case special enquiry? Tho the processing time in Lagos Nigeria is 41 weeks.. getting fed up and rethinking.. Yes you should do an enquiry cos 41 weeks (about 10 months) is actually not realistic. Most persons here get a response from them within 8 weeks. BTW, i think CAAB means Abuja cos I did my biometrics in Abuja and my tracking number starts with CAAB. |

thesoj: Summer semester is an optional semester in most schools/programs and is usually when most students take an academic break. Some use the opportunity to get an internship, some use it to get a side job, some use it to spend all their time on research (for mostly PhD and research masters students), some take courses, etc. CIC considers summer to be a scheduled break (unless you commenced your program in the summer session) for international students, during which you can work full-time if you choose to....... Thanks bro for this. It was revealing |

chigoziri7: Or can it be the VO is wondering why he is going from BSC to Diploma instead of Masters. I understand you cant go lower than your first educational qualification... Probably, but people in this forum have gone for a diploma after first degree. My main bone of contention is that: didnt d VO go through his application thoroughly? Are there no documents that shows that he finished last year? |

Rickywowoz: please house I'm applying for admission into a course based engineering program (M.eng) with the hope of working for sometime and then going for PhD but a friend just told me that I can't go for PhD with an M.Eng degree that you can only do that with a research based masters degree(Msc)....please I want to confirm from the house if this is true True for the most part. But in my intended school, univ of Regina, you can transfer from an MEng to Msc program or get admitted to a Phd programme with an MEng by taking additional courses. I suggest you check wether that is possible in your intended school. Cheers. |

But dont know why their excgange rate is very high I was charged 225 naira to 1US$ when I registered for TOEFL in March (CBN rate was 200 naira) and 165 naira to 1CAN$ when I paid the online visa fee last week(CBN rate was 150 naira) |

teesboy: Nothing to fret about folks. It is just an indication that your application has been queued up for review by a visa officer which is an actionable activity on the back end but you will not get a message in your MyCIC account to this effect. Remain calm and keep prayer mode fully activated. Alright. Thanks |
