She didn't even respect u enough to lie about it like she is going to see her family or some lie of sort? Has she been the one feeding u lately? This was very disrespectful! You don't even know what is happening in today's relationships. If you are broke, your eye go see weeeenn!! Subtle insults like your woman picking a man's call in your presence, telling you she is going out or a party without your approval. Despite saying No she still goes ahead etc. E plenty bro |

Yes, there are still few out there but it can/will never go around. Infact, the population is so low that for every 20 men that marry, only 1 will be fortunate to have 1 good one with rest of mind and that number is really bad enough. |

Brokeandnolove: Baba...na break up, I've sat her down and advised her like a sister about the dangers of the path she's about to tow, but her head is turned, it's only a matter of time before she starts doing it behind my back, that's if she's not doing that already. Lol Sitting her down, advising etc are all qualities of a broke man. In a relationship with a woman as a man, if you are broke, the headaches attached to it is much. You will always be a philosopher in the relationship. Quietly receiving insults regularly while you try as much as possible to amend the relationship. Your partner will be giving the I don't care attitude of if the relationship crumble, it crumbles because she has many options. In this life, the eyes of broke men will see shegeee in relationships. They won't have a choice than to keep lowering their standards just to accommodate a woman's rubbish and enduring stupid stupid things. They can't even afford to make mistakes or go out of track like having affairs outside. It will be a game over for them. |

Romance › Re: Women Have Become The Men That They Want To Marry by emmaodet: 7:18am On Apr 09, 2023 |
LordAdam16: Your points appear valid, but I have objections.
Pregnancy and breast feeding are the only non-transferable responsibilities.
Well, women have fewer kids today than they did in the past. 2-4 which they must have before menopause. Pregnancies do not impede quality of life until the third trimester. Last I checked, all economies are acquiescing to generous maternity leaves.
In fact, I'm fully onboard giving women in the workforce better benefits to make up for the very valuable role of refreshing the labor pool. That can be arranged.
For breastfeeding, it'd interest you to know that we used to have thriving professionals called wet nurses. We need more of them. They'll be sufficiently-paid with pension, vacation, dental plans...
Childcare has already been commoditized. Working class women in the West can attest to that. We need to (and can) apply the same economic realities to accommodate the other two key functions--pregnancy and breast-feeding. It can be done.
If she earns more, she'd have to foot more of the bills. As she would if she were single. Welcome to being an adult.
Men pay for all these things already when they can afford it. From IVF to surrogates to wet nurses to child care to babysitters. Go ask around about the cost of daycare currently. If women are beginning to extract economic value through good salaries, they CANNOT balk at those responsibilities. Someone has been paying for them.
I do not see the OP's writeup as bashing high-earning women. To whom much is given, much is expected. I don't see why you would call a woman paying to give birth to her own kid and raise her own kid "suffering". If she's high-earning, she can afford it. If she can afford it, she should pay for it.
Broke men have it worse than broke women. Cry me a river.
Now, that we've focused on money, you've brought up character. Let them marry the touts and yahoo boys and "mould" them into the type of men they desire. That is what society have been advising men for millennia.
The common theme I see in your writeup is a propensity to allow women to shirk responsibility.
It took men literally tens of thousands of years to begin to like having responsibility. Women should be made to go through that baptism of fire as well.
Early men kept their women and kids in caves and went out to hunt predators that could snap them in two. I'm sure they'd have appreciated the help if women were biologically able to be resourceful in this life-and-death situation. They did not see it as suffering to brave danger for their families. But you want to make the argument that a high-earning woman taking a maternity leave or pay cut (that is a tiny percentage of her lifetime earnings) for her own family is "suffering" in the 21st century.
And the value of men is not only in their ability to foot bills. When SHTF, you want a man in your corner as a woman, whether you are Mackenzie Scott or broke Tina. So footing most bills just to have a man who'd have a vested interest in the safety of you and your kids sounds like a fair trade to me. Her taxes already go to men in the police force and military providing security.
And yes, if she becomes so resentful that she divorces him, he should get spousal support for being part of the marital unit when the going was good. Or my favorite argument, to support the lifestyle that he has become accustomed to.
Women cannot have it good for more than 100,000 years, then when it gets to the turn of men to mill around and be taken care of, you guys start talking about "seeing it from a woman's perspective." Who her perspective epp?
The good thing is the percentage of high-earners who are female will continue to rise. Demography is destiny.

1Sharon: Their stories are truly intriguing. This japa movement has really ruined relationships between Nigerians. Couples breaking up, friends becoming enemies. I just listen and see how unreasonable and paranoid Nigerians can be.
They don't let people in on their plans because they fear evil eye. But if you don't trust friends, why have them around you and then turn around to expect well wishes?
People who were comfortable in Nigeria with multiple houses and cars, got rid of it all, just for greed. As the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it.
But then what happened with Yul Edochie's son made me rethink a little. The rich in Nigeria still feel insecurity. If Yul's son was in a developed country, a seizure won't have killed him. But something else would have killed him. Are people not dying in abroad again? |

In as much this sounds funny. Men from humble backgrounds are going through a lot these days.
The funny thing Is most of these guys are the main architect of their own Misfortunes. For example, Why would someone on a N100k Salary be venturing into marriage in this Nigeria Economy? Isn't that a Suicide Mission? Didn't they learned from their Parents mistake?
Even some high class people are standing on their Toes these days. Personally, I know what It takes to be successful In a Terrain like Nigeria. You won't blame them though. Most nigerians are not earning above 150k. So what do they do? wait till when before marrying? It is not as easy as we think |
