To the topic, since I recognized the scale of wealth on the planet, I don't tab my expenses to compare. My expenses are a set fraction of income. When that income increases, so do my expenses. I used to earn 320k monthly working onboard a vessel as an engineer,if I overstay I would get paid more coz the pay is calculated daily.
Presently I'm earning 150k monthly because of how badly things are I gat to change place of work but if I rake all the money I make from rentals and car shuttle services a year,it's up to 3.2m.
I have colleagues and cliq of friends who are not so frustrated like you.

Why do we Nigerians like paying for services cheaply but want to earn higher and also want a successful and robust society.
In one voice, we complain about low salaries or incomes in Africa and then turn around to want a society paying good salaries for workers.

Most feed millers will want to buy at a ridiculous price and still owe you for like 2 weeks or more before paying.

I tried doing GNC supply but didn't make any reasonable profit compared to the risk involved.
Some are doing it sha to survive but most guys that make profit from it in gombe do buy and stock in large quantities like 1 trailer or more in store when groundnut is cheap and GNC is cheap around august/September and sell in february/March

When you calculate it per capita, which is what really matter, you will notice that poverty is far less in the SE

I don't know the agency that conducted this research and how credible they are but using per square meter to calculate poverty won't truely give a clear picture because dividing the population of south east (which is almost the same as Oyo state landmass wise but with a population close or if not more than the total south west) by the total land mass will give south east the highest mark.
Per capital, north is the poorest but if you divide there around 100m people with a huge landmass they have, it will blur their poverty rate.
Simple mathematics.
If Nigeria population is 200 and north is 100 with a land mass of 100m square, it means 1 person is poor per square meter.
If south east population is 30 out of the 200 and with a landmass of 20m square, it means 1.5 people are poor per square meter.

You are right and likewise people working offshore in Nigeria too, they face the same problem.
Let family members know you work offshore with Chevron and see all of them lining up with plate at hand and if you just do what you can afford, they will say you are stingy and doesn't want to help.
I lost 10 acres of land too 3 years ago.
Was outside the country and told my surveyor to go inspect a farmland I wanted to buy for irrigation farming.
