Yes it's OK, if they manage their spending wisely. On your Gen only at night for 2-3 hours. Refill Gas in two months and get an electric cooker to use when there's light.
Monitor amounts spent on outings, eateries and orders.
Use gotv instead of dstv or buy a lower cost plan for anyone you have.
Put off your data and use data when needed only that will reduce the data bundle you buy monthly.
There are bills that are not reoccurring regularly but when they do, they hit you off the track.
Family problem - FIL, MIL or his own parents illness and events like burial, wedding etc that will demand high cash from you that will take you months to recover if not years, family medical - monthly or once in two months hospital bill of a member - kids or wife or hubby abi na local agbo una one they patronize? School fees, house rent, saving to buy and build house etc
These are the hidden expenses we don't calculate into spending that makes family struggles.

Reading this put a cute smile on my face.

I renounced the imported religons long ago. My mind have always been troubled to seek my root in True African Traditions. This piece aroused a new spirit in me.

I must visit Brazil someday.
Funny enough, the imported religion seems to be more expensive than the local one as expected.
It is cheaper to produce and sell garri here than producing and importing from UK.
The local religion doesn't demand much. A chicken or hen here and there and highest a goat and this is just once in a blue moon but the imported needs weekly offerings, monthly tithes, sacrifices, vows, pledges and members consistently funding the expensive lifestyle of their priests.
Buy Africa, to grow africa

I don't get these UK people. They are the ones to create YouTube channels, blogs and what have you after leaving Nigeria. It's like UK is synonymous with ofofo or tatafo

I have my WhatsApp status blowing up everytime from so many of them with funky ass titles, like 'How to get to UK without POF' , "How to pay your school fees with 20hrs of work', How to...."smack their faces"... Just zip it.

I'm tired of UK people. Shuuuuu

The whole noise about Abia is a bit funny anyway.

If Abia state is badly governed, which states are been properly governed in Nigeria then?

Power will shift from one monstrous political elite to another on the account of being in different political parties and people will troop to the streets to celebrate. I will never understand the motivation.

Even with the level of enthusiasm and happiness in Abia for electing a "better Governor" , there is nobody in Abia Today that will be offered a US passport that will reject it because they now have a better Governor.

In the case of African leaders, I understand that they are like Pavlovian dogs. It is the lack of an iota of resistance from them that bothers me more. And it is certainly based on their overall greed.

The global north are behind them though, since they want us to see the poverty and decline of Africa as a result of corruption and bad leadership alone. This wouldn't be the case if our leaders haven't surrendered themselves willing as tools to be used.

Enough of them. It's the possible way forward we must be looking forward to at the moment.

Thanks.
They won't allow a good leader to lead.
There will always be scanders and allegations on him with engineered evidences.
Worst case scenario they give him the Gardaffi treatment as a warning sign to any other leader with such ambition.
They make his government ungovernable with regular uproars, uprisings by militants, rebels, etc

Lagos did not just become Lagos overnight nah. The Lagos of Today has had its present status gradually been built by huge historical investment from the pre-colonial era, colonial era and the post colonial era. Before the annexation of Lagos by the British in 1861, Lagos had flourished and produced numerous successful business men and women because of its geography as a port city.

Even the present day Lagos is not that special in comparison with other international cities of the world. It's just that in the world of blind, a one-eyed man is automatically the king.

Creating another city like Lagos will even benefit the country and can propel the country's GDP close to 1 trillion dollars (if done rightly), but it will demand a very huge long term infrastructural investment such as ports, railways, highways etc but where will the country struggling to complete Lagos-Ibadan expressway see the money to fund that kind of expenses.
It is not everytime a government must painfully raise money or borrow to fund projects now.
Airports, railways, power stations can be done with PPP or totally done by private investors who are willing to fund these projects like the Chinese, Germans for power station etc.
The black man is just wicked. Looking for excuses for not doing things.
A society is not as hard to run and managed the way they making it to look like.
Give any state to the Germans. I mean any useless state like jigawa and you will be ashamed to see what they would have turned it to in 10 years while the other blacks states are still in tatters

It's not about whether she speaks French, it's rather about the re-invention of colonialism and eventual second enslavement of Africa.

As they always have done since 1600, they first create an elite slave class to be positioned for marketing or if you like evangelism. Example: in 1962, Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe were tricked by Britain and the CIA into making African languages subservient to the English language. If you need more info about this particular event, go to www.africason.com and read the article that says "how Britain and the CIA fooled Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe to destroy African languages in literature". There are so many similar instances throughout history where black people were used same way. It would give you a clue of the real purpose of the la Francophonie award.

That organization is France's "Commonwealth of nations" (and though you may not know it) Britain and France are behind the scene competing about who'll have an upper hand in the coming re-enslavement of Africa as we enter a new age of Africa. I've calculated this new age to begin by 2050. Within that period, Africans born during colonialism would all have all been dead, so it becomes necessary for Europe to re-engineer the thinking of Africans of the 21st century to usher in the new slavery.

I've been warning about this coming event since the last 10 years....

I am sorry if you don't understand what I just said because you shouldn't.
Nitori Olohun, are we Slaves?
I hate that word Slaves.
I hate it with passion.

Nigerians ought to apologize to General Sanni Abacha of blessed memory. 90 percent of our politicians are far more wicked than him.

Politics is a good but wicked business. A current Governor, Current Senator, honourable will embezzle state funds while he suffer the people under his jurisdiction with wicked hunger and poverty. And when election is tomorrow because he knew they will not vote for him, he will now wave new notes of N5000, N10,000 to each of them and tell them that it will be given to them if they will vote him at their polling unit. His supporters will call the election free and fair. And the cycle continues.

FamilyRe: Your Background Can Determine How Far You Go In Life by emmaodet: 7:32pm On Mar 17, 2023
Fab21:
Sincerely, I've thought about this before.
This is what I'm going through at the moment.
See, your background to some extent would determine how far you'll go in life..

If you're born from a rich background, your case is minimal as a Nigerian.

If you're from a poor background, you've a lots of work to do; that's the butter truth.

I know there's a place of Grace, hardwork, luck and God factor. But irrespective of these factors, most of us would've gone far if we're from a good background.
Though there shouldn't be a place of excuse if truly you're hungry for success.

But however, rigorous processes before you breakthrough can even cost your life.

I'm perfectly sure that no one is useless or born without any potentials but for you to make it in life especially in this country, your background really matters.

Your background will determine how far you'll quickly go in life.

The rich kids always marry from there circles.
You should ask yourself why ?

Some guys out there will tell you they're into business; all kind of business. But there are things that I've clearly seen: is that some of them opt in into fraud the begining and then divert the money to set up businesses!
These I've seen a lot.

Ask yourself are they not diligent enough ?
Why do they need to go into fraud first.
Some will tell you I've an idea, but no money and nobody's ready to give you a dime.

Hence, they think the best way to get funds is to go into fraud and start up their business be it music, tech and the likes.

A friend of mine in school graduated as BGS.
The guy's good; I must say.

Honestly, I didn't expect him to be in Nigeria by now! This is what Nigeria/background factor have caused.

Someone said Zukerberg would've not have become a facebook owner if he's a Nigerian. To some extent it's true.

I know, no pain no gain.
I know, no glory without story.

But when these persist for long during the process, you might give up and venture into illegal stuff.

You can't be drinking Garri and you expect to think outside the box.
You can't be in hungers for days and you expect to think well.

Look at the some of our recent hip-hop artistes, some needed to go into fraud before they could get some money to release their singles, demo and the likes.

I began to see recently that there are some prayers that will be useless in developed countries.

How can a Nigerian be praying to get Job after school?
Once you've your certificate shouldn't you get a reasonable job?
If there's a working System.
This tell us that we've a bad system.
People praying for their businesses, admissions and all kinds.

Most pains, ignominy, depression, frustration would've been minimal if you're from a rich background and have a working System.

But with respect to all these, even if there's a working System and a rich background, some people will still find 101 reasons why things won't work out for them.

I've a business idea to set up a cyber café but there's no capital.
Because getting a job as a graduate in this place: is like a Carmel going through an eye of a needle.

To survive here, isn't easy especially as a graduate.

It's well.
Hmmmmmmmmmm

Especially those who are mentally poor and intellectually disabled.

Do you think that is why the northern elites refuse to educate everyone, and prefer to have them as almajiri?

Is that why Tinubu and other southern elites are following the same path of creating agbero thugs by refusing to engage teachers for the free education of all childrenhuh
They just don't care about whatever we turn to.
Theirs is they don't want masses that will give them headache so that they can enjoy their tenure with massive looting and if being thugs and almajiri is what will solve that problem for them, so be it.
