This is really stupid. There are non-muslim population in the state whose etiquette does not forbid the consumption of alcohol. Why impose your religion on them when Nigeria is a secular state? I wonder what our law associates are doing about this. Nigeria can't be a secular state and yet a whole state of the federation would be governed by Sharia. I wish the owners would sue them . |

Yonce: Interesting how the virginity vs character debate is always about girls. It's almost like men are excluded from being virgins themselves but have strong opinions about marrying one. You are right, they are excluded. Virginity is peculiar to females, check your dictionary. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Virginity Vs Character by emmyN(m): 1:38pm On Nov 01, 2020 |
Fountainofyouth: It is not rare, there are virgins who do all sort of rubbish, but keep the hymen intact, but you guys won't know, cos when you approach them, they portray themselves to be all saintly without blemish just to deceive y'all,
Virginity doesn't define a blissful, long lasting marriage, good character, discipline from both sides should be the ultimate goal,
And yet, we still have stupid men who'd still cheat on their virgin wives with them disvirgined side chick, and some virgin wives who'd get tired of their husband's one style diick and go get some sweet new styles outside. Wheew. No one asked you to lose yours to a pack of indomie and eggs, so stop whining. Men have always and will continue to prefer virgins. Most virgins I know are well mannered. The ones without character are at best the figment of your imaginations. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Virginity Vs Character by emmyN(m): 1:32pm On Nov 01, 2020 |
alexisbaby: If I may ask, is it only women that are supposed to be virgins, there is no where in the bible that God gave men the free pass to commit fornication and it is only a woman that is condemned when she loses her virginity.
Any form of first successful sexual intercourse by a man or woman establishes that both parties are no more virgins.
I don't know why there is so much emphasis on women's sexual conduct and why are men left out?. Virginity is a term perculiar to the female folks. Men have never been "virgins". |
Politics › Re: Bullets, Blood & Death At Lekki Tollgate: Untold Story Of What Happened - PT by emmyN(m): 12:25am On Nov 01, 2020 |
SmartyPants: Just a slight alteration in the angle of fire can have exponentially different impacts. If a gun is fired directly upwards, the bullet is harmless but just a few degree of variation even less than 45 degrees can render that bullet dangerous enough to inflict injury but not to kill.
That's what the evidence points to with respect to the soldiers who shot at Lekki. This is what I'm saying. No soldier is an armature shooter. They understand the dynamics very well. If there was an alteration in the angle, then it was with the intention to kill. But there is no evidence that the military only shot in the air. Or is it the widely circulated video they branded photoshopped? |
Politics › Re: Bullets, Blood & Death At Lekki Tollgate: Untold Story Of What Happened - PT by emmyN(m): 9:09pm On Oct 31, 2020 |
SmartyPants: It's rather disappointing that the army could use live bullets in such a careless manner.
I have continually rejected the narrative of the Lekki massacre, which is of course, at least in my opinion, based on hearsay and exaggeration.
I believe that the soldiers fired in the air not intending to kill but did so at a dangerous angle and still need to be held accountable for this.
Meanwhile the truth is that the police did more deliberate killing on that day. How does a professional shoot without intention to kill but at dangerous angle? That's a laughable submission. Both the soldiers and police present there that night were following the same orders. If the police did a deliberate kill, the soldiers definitely did too. |

And for why I'm always single-i don't rush our of one to rush into another,I'm not that desperate to have someone in my life.
Thanks though Smiles. You know you don't need closure, because there was no proper definition to what you had. Platonic friendship between opposite sexes are often difficult to keep, especially when one party wants more. Give it time, you'll get over it. For the reason you gave for being single, you were never in a relationship before, remember ? I think you ladies should be realistic on what you look out for in a partner. Be flexible but firm. Show whoever doesn't tick most boxes the door and keep the door closed. Regards. |

Flolovtri: So I met this guy during a lecture. He collected my number and we became friends. I wasn't looking forward to dating him,it never crossed my mind. But we chatted regularly and well,I started to like him. And he said he loved me too and wanted me to be his girlfriend. I didn't because I felt it was too early and deep inside I never planned to have a boyfriend and it didn't feel like love. I had my doubt... You've obviously gotten emotionally attached to him but are still indecisive. He's wooed you thrice and you turned him down, what then do you expect he sticks around doing? Oh you want friendship? He made it clear from the get-go he wasn't in for "just friends". The kind of relationship he's proposed you've consistently turned down, so you shouldn't feel sad that he is backtracking. Next time you are with someone, ensure to know what you really want to avoid unnecessary emotional entanglement. Now tell me, why has he met you "single" every time he breezes in? No option? |
