How I solve P3191 and P0A80
Received a call from a popular workshop about a 2007 Camry hybrid, complains car refused bro start after Engine replacement.
Running a scan via one,The dreaded DTC P0A80(Replace hybrid battery pack) I believe due to frequent attempt to start the engine HV battery has run down. The HV needs to recharge and reconditioned then voltage balancing,after working on the HV battery the car starts and dies off few seconds.Running another scan then I have P3191 Engine doesn't start, so many things can bring this DTC such as clogged injectors,lack of fuel,air intake leakage,dirty throttle body.
I start with easy one for me
Checking the injector (nozzles) for dirt or possible replacement can solve this issue easily but does not work on this.
I remove the air intake to get access to the throttle body and I discovered a huge dirt particles by the butterfly, spraying with injectors cleaner solved this issue and the car starts.

Troubleshooting DTC P261B
Most newer generation of hybrid come with Electric coolant pump instead of mechanical driven coolant pump.e.g Prius 2010,Camry hybrid 2011 and so on.Replacing the pump will solve the DTC also thermostat replacement is very important.

It is self charging.it means two Engine work simultaneously Electric motor and ICE(interna combustion engine).The ICE engine charges it when the battery is down.

Due to lack of technicians in troubleshooting and repair of hybrid cars,you can easily post any troubles codes(DTC) dealing with your hybrid cars such as Toyota Camry hybrid, Prius, Highlander hybrid,RX400H,Honda CIVIC hybrid,Honda accord hybrid and many more.We can easily resolve the issues together here with the help of other guru on this plantform.

Some time ago, I noticed Nigerian drivers and car shoppers may tend to distance themselves from hybrids like the Toyota Prius. The reason for my suspicion is when one guy raised the alarm that his camry was stolen but everyone here assured him the car will be found because the thief will have a hard time selling it because the Camry is a hybrid. It made me realize that Nigerians must dislike hybrids. But why? I'd like to know what might be the issues with owning and driving a hybrid in Nigeria. Such information will help me decide if the reasons are negligible or not. Please your opinion is welcomed.

Hybrids are good car lack of technicians make it look like a bad car, apart from the the HV battery other parts call easily be get in Ladipo and they are affordable, a client of mine who is a medical doctor has been driving Highlander hybrid for 11years( still using original HV battery) wrong diagnostic make it look difficult and bad.i have been driving 07 hybrid for 7years apart from changing the HV battery due to wrong use by previous owner,I am still using same Engine and also my wife's Prius similar experience.Although I am Electrical Engineer,it is the reason i decided to focus on the car.They are cool car but techy and not for everyone.Peace

I don't know why people always downgraded hybrid cars, although lack of good technician make it look like is not a good car,one of my client (medical doctor) have been using 06 Highlander over 11years without any major issues apart from reconditioning the battery due to long packing when he traveled.I have used Gen1 and Gen2prius regretted selling them.My current car is 07 Camry hybrid.

it is because of difficulty in selling it ,in Nigeria market,only few people understand the technology behind it.If the HV battery is properly maintained it is a very good car to have. Attached is picture of some hybrid cars

my intention of opening this thread is to expose the business potentials of this city called Onitsha. in doing this I have been able to tell people what they can cone here to buy or come here to sell. I don't need your money. I have received many accolades and partnership requests from individuals, businesses and even government officials in this state BC of this thread. some of them i have turned down. I have even participated in forums on how to further ease business process in anambra. those encounters and goodwill messages are enough for me.
my greatest joy is when I hear stories of people who have moved steps further in their Biz BC of the info they get from here.

what i have noticed is that some people dont scan the transmission ECU they just scan the engine ECU thinking it will pull up all codes from both ECU

some scanners are basic they only scan the basic from main ECU and some cant even scan ABS or AIR BAG there a customer can be told that there is no transmission code due to the fact that the scanner is basic

then a common thing i noticed from nigerian car dealers in my town they go buy the cheapest car they can get from auctions and 99% of these cars have lots of faults and warning lights, instead of buying the parts to fix higlighted by the warning lights, they take off the instrument cluster a put a black tape to block the warning light (check engine light, abs or air bag) if you buy such car it will take you ages to figure out that your check engine light doesnt turn on when switch on the ignition, you will assume to say everything is OK becoz there is no check engine light or other warning lights

Good scanners are not cheap and people refer to go where the price for scanning is cheap and the chances of the scanner being a basic one are high

Some even cut the check light wire and wired it with battery indication bulb.Sometimes it requires datastream on bidirectional scanner to figure out faulty transmission problem

What brand of car and year of manufacturing
If it is toyota black probe it with multimeter u supposed to have 12v,5v supplying to the sensor also ground must be on the sensor.
Cylinder four is misfiring could be coil,plug,injector,compression issues u need a professional technicians to troubleshoot this for you to avoid spending unnecessarily.Kindly look for one.

Yes rewire came said everything is fine the electrical system

if there is spark,injector pulse,fuel pressure 45psi above i think he needs to check the coil connector if he has not interchange coil 1 to coil 3 or coil 2 to 4,Also engine compression and check the security light if it is steady or blinking when ignition is on

Good day all.
Please help, the battery sign on my Honda civic 2008 come up, I took it to a rewire who check n said the alternator is good that may be it not communicating with the brain box again that he has to bypass the sign if I want it off. I was not satisfied with his recommendations and I took it to another rewire who recommended I change the alternator that the copper coil in d alternator has burnt. I change the alternator but the battery sign is still showing. Note the car drive well n does not do any hard starting. Please car experts here, what could be the problem?

you need to run a scan on the car with a good scanner battery light on the dashboard is control via ECU.

Hello House, I have an issue with my Infiniti fx35 2005. It is a tokunbo I bought in February thus year before the lockdown. Before the lockdown, it was working perfectly. When the lockdown started, I parked it but unfortunately the heavy rain at the period came in through the roof.

I air dried the car and started covering the car. After the lockdown, I wanted to ho out and realised that the wiper, the ac, the side mirrors stopped working at the same time.

There is nothing I have not done to get them working. Gone to different self proclaimed professionals, nothing. I went to First Gate Auto village, nothing. I went to ladipo and changed BCM and Fuse box different times, yet nothing. I have scanned and scanned. I have programmed and programmed. Nothing.

I am told it should be wiring fault. And i am very careful which rewired to give it to. So, that he will not destroy the car.

HELP!!!!

find someone with alldata wiring diagram the issues is within IPDM and BCM wiring.

if it is Nigeria use stay away,foreign use better and don't go to anyhow workshop not to abuse the wiring confirm any check light through diagnostic machine.Get extra crankshaft positions sensor and camshaft position they can break down anytime.
