For instance, DARPA has developed an anti RPG humvee
So when a rocket propelled grenade is launched at the humvee, it's sensors detect the grenade (moving at high speeds obviously) and fires a weapon at the RPG just when it's close to the humvee to deactivate the grenade.
Have you ever heard of the story of crabs in the bucket
It is said that if you have multiple crabs in a bucket, you can leave the bucket open and the crabs won't escape. However, the scenario becomes quite fascinating if you were to have just a single crab in the bucket. That single crab would be able to climb out of the bucket to freedom.
So why do the multiple crabs in a bucket find it so hard to escape, while just a single one of them does it with ease You would think that with more man power available to them, they'd even make it out the bucket quicker.
The answer lies in the fact that when multiple crabs are placed in a bucket, each one tries to pull the other down and the resultant effect is that none of them gets to escape, as if they try, they will be pulled down.
Why do we keep pulling down every tribe in this country Can we ever progress if we keep pulling ourselves down at the slightest chance we get
Didn't we sell ourselves back then for mirrors n shhh
Even now, it's still all smoke and mirrors as we are being sold to poverty as a nation by politicians, in return for fat bank accounts that resemble state budgets
kayvandutch: You don't understand how real estate works,it's your stupidity that should be listed on the stock exchange. What makes of the value of a house, location, prestige and supply and demand. We are Nigerians, why are you brining UK and America into the equation, why should a Nigerianbe buying real estate outside their homeland and enriching other countries like the corrupt politicians do. She could ahve bought a house in Monaco,Dubai,London,LA, or New York but she decided to invest in our home country,I give her kudos for that.
all4naija: The lawns are well kept, the roads are well maintained, and the green is one thing I like there. I cannot forget my childhood visiting family members there. I have an uncle who used to live in the area and we often visit on Halloween when I was very young. Yes the area is much more better than any place I have seen when I visit Nigeria. Much more better than Banana Island in Lagos.
Thanks for breaking it down for all. Naija just like sufferhead too much, even with money, na expensive sufferhead, mtcheew
How does a location become prestigious without at least having, nice lawns, good roads, buried drainages and so on
Of course it's only in Naija, where a location becomes prestigious because it has just 100 potholes, while the other locations have about a thousand. That's how prestige is measured here, smh
cramjones: Nigeria keeps continue remaining a country of scammers ran by scammers. Linda Ikeji was clearly scammed if she paid over N800 million in Banana Island. Here is why she was scammed.
1. The house has no lawn
2. the house has no nice views
3. The house swimming pool is so small with abosultely no privacy (her neighbour can peep at her unclothedness)
4. Would need a generator
5. No running water
6. Not a super nice neighbourhood.
7. No yard space
$4 million spent in the United States would have bought her a home of her dreams and not the scam they made with her money.
Here is a house in Atlanta listed on Zillow that costs a fraction $3.5 million.

Though you're a controversial fellow, I have to give you the utmost kudos here, kudos brah!
Nigeria is just tooooo insane men, the stupidity here should be listed on the stock exchange.
Charging mills for those lekki houses with rough and broken interlocking stone outside and mosquito central gutters. I can almost swear I've seen mosquitoes dancing to music in those gutters before, but it could just have been my imagination though
octacores: Please do already. You're already constituting a nuisance here. Iranu
Hey, I'm working on it.
You can continue to stay here to "suffer and smile", afterall, it is said that Nigerians are amongst the happiest people in the world, amidst their "avoidable" suffering.
In short, naija just like suffer and what do we do? we smile
I think I've smiled enough, time to get serious for a change
backtosender: Nigeria is the worst place to be in the world. A place filled with evil and darkness. A place built on fraud. A place with schools but their leaders would send their children abroad to study. A place where there are hospitals but for their leaders when they get sick, the go abroad for treatments. A place where even the citizens are so stupid to see that their problems are their leaders. A place where citizens are against anyone who tries to liberate them from their foolishness. A place where sick and hungry citizens would come and still vote for the same person who is the cause of their sickness and hunger. A place where citizens do not know their rights and can accept any crap from anyone at the top level. A place where people know the cause of their problems but would do nothing about it. A place where corruption and bribery are norm. A place where human lives are worthless. A place where stupid poor people would die to protect a person who is responsible for them being poor. A place where everyone is religious but full of evil. A place where people make money in God's name. A place where there are no records for her citizens, they don't know how many are born today, they don't know how many died today! People living in this fraud Nigeria, it's high time you tell yourselves the naked truth. Nigeria was never created for your own good. Britain created Nigeria after killing so many of our leaders and people to serve her selfish interest. The poorest country in the world provides electricity to her citizens but Nigeria with all her wealth could not, have you asked yourself why? Because Nigeria was never created for you to survive in it. Nigeria will continue serving the interest of Britian utill the day you give it up and reject it forever. This is not about being a Biafran, it's about the truth and reality. So long as you hold on to this fraud Nigeria the British contraption and zoo, you will never be able to reason like a human being should. WAKE UP PEOPLE, PUT DOWN NIGERIA FOR SHE IS KILLING YOU!
Dude, I think I may have lost all hope in Nigeria. Most of the citizens adore mediocrity and wallow in what seems to be willful stupidity.
I was unfortunate to stumble upon some tribal threads here recently and kept seeing alot of people use the term "HOST".
Lets tell ourselves the truth, you can't be a "host" to someone living in the same house as you are, unless of course you decide to live separately. Then you can invite guests over and legitimately be able to call yourself a "host".
I think the best way forward, as most have already been clamoring for, is for the country to divide. I think then, we'd have better diplomatic relations with one another.
That's the only logical approach that comes to mind.
NewNigeriaMind: take it easy, what if I put first bank up there, the truth is, as a popular person you hardly have secrets, including your net worth.
well you do have a point, but still though.
i know famous people have their privacy invaded frequently, but the truth is, suing is always a viable option for any celebrity to choose. I guess it just depends on the celeb in question. Some may decide it comes with the territory, while others may insist that being famous doesn't entitle one to loss of privacy and decide to punish those that they see fit to punish.
NewNigeriaMind: Being smart and analytical is not a Yoruba trait alone, her savings account in GTbank averages 120m. No way she can even afford ahouse in lekki phase 1
don't ask me how I know, a banker told a banker who told me
What kind of fuvked up country do we live in where a banker can now publicize the account balance of their customers
If I were Linda reading this and what you just said resonated with my real balance, then I'm suing the fuvk out of that bank
Suing for at least 3 times my account balance.
That would teach them how to train their staff, mtcheew
Do they have any specific suspects they are on the look out for
How long do they intend to occupy the area
What happens when they leave
Dunno, but I just feel this is sorta like a patch for a deeply structural problem. Structural in the sense that our policing needs to become better, needs to become consistent, sophisticated and so on, instead of these one time barrages being carried out.
