Verse 1 says children obey your parents...
Subsequent verses admonish parents to treat their children right, and masters to also treat their slaves right (since it was an era of slavery).

There was nothing like demons fighting Christians in the whole of that chapter.

Satan can use things like disobedience to parents, parents not treating their children right or even persecution to fight christians and not necessarily demons.

A good christian can experience bad things if he is not careful and not prayerful . Jesus told us in :

For a good man who is not a Christians, bad things can befall him if he is careless or there is a curse operating in their family lineage , although he is a good man , that curse will allow evil to happen to him.

Prayers do avert evils. Being good or nice means you are an enemy to the powers that hate good people and good things. There are some wicked powers that love to see evil befalling people , community , nations etc.

Hello Christian bro & sis in the house. I will like you all to advice me on this cause DEPRESSION has eaten me deep to the bone.

I was once committed xtian but when things beyond me sets in, I began to feel like God doesn't answer prayer anymore or he just want me to go through all dis long time problem that's beyond my faith. I was once a choir member and a keyboardist in my church in osun State before relocating 2 Abuja since 2016.

Now, I hardly go to church and even if I go, there service looks somehow watery to me . I have attended almost well known pentecostal church in Abuja but their teaching is yet to convince me back to Christ.

I know more of God but am not Happy @ all.
I have attempted suicide once but God use someone to save my life .
Am jobless and always Lonely @ home dis makes me to go into deep thoughts and concluding suicide is the best answer .

I have passed through a lot and am yet to go out frm what am into. Depression has set in into my heart and I have no one to talk to. I dwell here with my brother but hardly he stays home due to job nature that requires him to travel all d time.

There was a time I nearly converted to other faith maybe I can find rest of mind in there faith. As it is now, I don't longer go to church again, I have stopped so many things relating to faith in God. Although I want to come back to him but I don't see anyone helping me to grow in faith and can also encourage me abt all this am into.

I can't type it all on this forum about what am going through. It hurts alot and I do cry everyday. I have gone to severally ministry looking for peace of mind but all effort are void.

But Jesus told us not to divorce our wives and no one should marry a divorcee :

Since Muhammad did not follow this law and the Muslims always follow whatever Muhammad said and did , then the Muslims are not followers of Jesus .

What is the reason for marrying ones adopted sons wife , according to the Quran ?
So that other Muslims can do the same.

When and how can someone not have need of his wife ?

Was it a problem among the Arabs whether or not they could marry their adopted son's wives?

Why was the case of adopted children cancelled if its purpose was to serve as a guide to the Muslim believers?

Why would the same God tell people not to divorce and say again that one can divorce ? Is it the same God and why would he be unstable like that?

Zaid had not divorce Zainab b4 the revelation came.

Muhammad was always bringing out revelations to deceive the people in order to have his ways.
How can God ask you to marry someone's wife?
The bible says we should not divorce our wife and no one should marry a divorcee.

When Allah's Apostle married Zainab bint Jahsh, he invited the people to a meal. They took the meal and remained sitting and talking. When he noticed that (there was no response to his movement), he got up, and the others too, got up except three persons who kept on sitting. The Prophet came back in order to enter his house, but he went away again. Then they left, whereupon I set out and went to the Prophet to tell him that they had departed, so he came and entered his house. I wanted to enter along with him, but he put a screen between me and him. Then Allah revealed:

'O you who believe! Do not enter the houses of the Prophet...' (33.53)

يٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتَ النَّبِىِّ إِلَّآ أَنْ يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ إِلٰى طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نٰظِرِينَ إِنٰىهُ وَلٰكِنْ إِذَا دُعِيتُمْ فَادْخُلُوا فَإِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَانْتَشِرُوا وَلَا مُسْتَئْنِسِينَ لِحَدِيثٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذٰلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِى النَّبِىَّ فَيَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنْكُمْ ۖ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنَ الْحَقِّ ۚ وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتٰعًا فَسْئَلُوهُنَّ مِنْ وَرَآءِ حِجَابٍ ۚ ذٰلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُؤْذُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَآ أَنْ تَنْكِحُوٓا أَزْوٰجَهُ ۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا ۚ إِنَّ ذٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمًا
"O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, disperse without seeking to remain for conversation. Indeed, that [behavior] was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of [dismissing] you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it is not [conceivable or lawful] for you to harm the Messenger of Allah or to marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed, that would be in the sight of Allah an enormity."

Adam and Eve did not disappoint God , they disappointed themselves and disappointed you and I.

God did not create man to be like a Robot . If God wanted to control human beings like Robot , so that things would be as He wanted , He would have done that , but that will not glorify Him.

God gave man a free will to follow and obey Him.

As a man , I would not like to marry a zombie . I want someone who will appreciate everything I do and have a life of her own.

The creation of the earth by God is not all there is about God's plan. It is not up to 1% of God's creations.

Nothing can hinder God's plans. Who ever disobeys God , destroys himself or herself. That cannot stop the Sun , the moon, stars from performing their functions . Things will still go as God planned.

All these hadiths you relied upon to rubbish Islam are nothing but words of human beings which are liable to commit error. They are not divine word of God coming directly from His mouth. There are strong hadiths as well as weak and fabricated hadiths which are attributed falsely to the prophet. The Quran says the first Muslim was , Abraham , Moses , Some Egyptians and Muhammad. That is the reason people confronted Muhammad that he was a liar :

Allah SWT says:

"And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know."

This shows allah is not all knowing but an evil angel or demon.

When Muhammad committed adultery with his son's wife , he lied that it was allah :

Jesus is not cursed but a removal of curses . He removes curses and replaced them with blessing from him. Since he did not commit any sin . Only sinners are cursed :

Galatians 3:10-14 KJV
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[11] But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[12] And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
[13] Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
[14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Jesus redeemed us from curses and gave us blessings of Abraham , just as a rich man redeems a debtor from debt to grant him freedom to make wealth.

Hadiths are more authentic than the Quran because it reveals truth about who Muhammad was.

We are not serving allah but the God of Abraham , Isaac and Israel.

There was a time that all the people of the world believed that Earth is flat in shape due to HOW IT APPEAR PHYSICALLY TO THEIR SENSE OF SIGHT. Yet the Earth is not flat in shape but spherical
Now suppose God sent a prophet to this ancient people . And it was written in a book given to this prophet as follows;

Please I need all the help I could get for my friend. He has been having terrible dreams since early last year or thereabout. This my friend said has been told several times that he is a special person on heart and that he should be taking his dreams seriously.

Last year he said he saw Jay Z in white and a being not completely human also in white and Jay said Satan is the new God 3 times. He prayed against it and thrashed the dream. But he has been battling anxiety and depression ever since. He was placed on medication since but he has not been enjoying life still.
