It is when you are faced with going against a norm, that you truly understand that courage is more than a dictionary definition. The corruption in this country stinks more than a 3 day million dead rats. |
Definitely not our portion to continue to wander in this wilderness ![]() Apart from this insurgence in the north, Nigeria hasn't changed much. I was reading some old news magazines from the 80s and from comments, we still had these problems then. I doubt our generation can solve Nigeria's problems that run deeper than our generation but we can try just so it becomes easier for subsequent generations. |
Na wa oh. My brother confirmed it. I hope the school authorities take proactive measures |

![]() The basement is always a scary place All teenagers are either rude, into tattoos or into drugs and almost all hate their parents or the authority Everyone in a security agency walks fast while giving a report or getting information The answer always comes in the nick of time. |
Emeka71: As for Me, I prefer Nairaland Forum. I am not even registered on Linda Ikeji,s BlogNeither am I. I also prefer Nairaland but I also understand that there are some who prefer Linda's blog and they nor her should be disparaged for that. Each caters to different user needs. Even if they were both blogs or forum, none of the owners should be disparaged because healthy competition is good. Nigeria and indeed the world is a vast market. |
Ymodulus: @All19 is before 20 na |
What is a tout's concern with too much luggage? |
April is the fairest of them all. You fine oh |
I have known 3 people all females. First was a cousin, died before her 20s. Second, a neighbour in Lagos, never married but got pregnant and now has a child. Still living, last I heard. Third is a church member, celebrated her 50th birthday this year. And yet others without sickle cell would have died before my cousin, neighbour and church member. My church member takes things easy. She doesn't do much to stress herself. She isn't married though. So sorry, I may not have tips but I know every health challenge has basic dos which are: *Eating and living healthy (more fruits and veggies): A healthy lifestyle boosts your immune system, so that the system has the strength to fight off little illnesses *Acknowledging your status, it makes you more careful *Taking your mind off things that you cannot change *Meeting others with sickle cell, your stories and challenges will act as a morale booster *You can also decide to keep a public diary listing your challenges and triumphs, that way you help raise awareness too (optional) *Doing only what you love doing God bless you |
chucky234: Linda dey snap her pishure for gate, you too dey snap your own for three.I be 'tree' woman, Linda be gate woman, satisfied? ![]() |
sarutobie: that is nigerians for you, take for example how the supporters of political parties will be at each other's throat online and on the streets but the politicians themselves will be pictured dining and laughing together, yet the supporters still wont learn! So true! |
I don't care if everyone is doing it, what is wrong is wrong. OP, if your friend played the 'marriage' card on you when you gave that advise, she was right. No one who loves their spouse, would want to see them go the wrong way all for something that might not be worth it in the end. An example: If your spouse was an auditor and had ways of enriching himself but chose not to even if things weren't too good at home, would you advise him to add/remove a few zeros because almost everyone was doing it? When people make decisions that is right regardless of what the majority is doing, your duty as a friend - single or married - is to stand by those friends and encourage them since they might get a lot of backlash for their stand. Your friend's hubby can make it here in Nigeria, it's just that he is fixated on going out. |
Is your father in need? Apart from wanting to give him things, do you call him regularly? Because if you aren't in touch with him regularly and just want to be throwing stuffs his way, then you need to re-assess your motives. Our parents need more than money from us, they like the intrinsic care too. If you do check on him and visit him, then it wouldn't be too strange when you buy things along when visiting. As for your mum, you alone know the kind of person she is especially her weakness. Handle her gently but be firm in your decision of wanting to give to your father. |
Eeya...see sacrifices that had to be made |
Na like this unnecessary wars take dey start. The owners of the forum and blog are civil to each other but fans just want bad blood. I don't even understand the hatred for Linda self |

I am indifferent to this new addition but I wonder why the 'recent' button was removed @seun. That button allowed me see comments from other users, an interesting comment made me click on the topic under which the comment was made. I liked it because it was not necessarily from people I was following. I would love that button to be restored. Modified: The button was restored immediately after I submitted my post |
I loved rewinding 'The sound of music' and 'Commando'...the rest not so much |
I don't understand the purpose of this insensitive announcement? What does it aim to achieve? |
If you have to do a thing, you might as well do it right. Is she allergic to nice shoes? You wanna show sexy or superhot, then shoes are a big deal. Leave the low heels to old mamas like us, who aren't trying to show off. The colour of that attire for the first two pics are not flattering. i would have prefered she tried a white colour with beads on the body suit and a buttpad to lift those buttocks - abi no be wetin the thing dey do? I get that creativity and artistry shouldnt be put in a defined boundary but when it is utterly meaningless and maddening, what then? |
MadCow1: My father dey use ehn WAEC Certificate that time prove ehn own..At least your father had evidence not those parents that their's was by word of mouth. No be everything person go inherit |
Other parents ![]() On a serious note, my parents never used the 'we were always first in our time', they always emphasized on how they took their studies seriously and how it paid off. |
