Her money especially if it makes her happy |
Mwahhhhh...classy |
A man must first find himself before he finds his woman...May God bless your hustle, may divine favour not depart from you. May God also bless your wife's hustle (job or business) so she can be a good helpmate when you eventually marry. |
The sad case of a Liberian woman. Shunned whilst alive and mocked even in death. |
I stumbled on some old news magazines, quite an interesting read. I was pretty young during part of the military era and the magazines did a good nostalgic job. I will find time to post snippets especially for the young who do not know their history well. |
One key thing is contentment. Contentment with what you have whether it's a shrek or prince, an olga or a princess. In 13 years, you should have reached that level. |
Mbakara doesn't mean master. It refers to anyone who is white even though nowadays in Cross River and Akwa Ibom, it is used to appreciate a beautiful woman - dark or fair. Some men also bear it as nicknames regardless of their skin colour. So, when the Efiks refered to the white men as mbakara; it was because of their skin |
The way he refers to his wife as if she isn't a part of him. Reminds me of a former boss who usually called his wife 'the wife' always spoke to her so formally on the phone.Ask the congregation to pray for your marriage and leave at that. Don't try to make them pick sides. Man cannot vindicate man |
adeowo84: yes ma!...d spelling dos not define d op...just my humble opinionThe OP has made claims on being a graduate, so a lot more than his hasty generalization can be criticized. Anyways, your opinion is yours, why be humble about it? |
That's my favorite actress except in 'I come Lagos'. Clear diction and good role immersion and interpretation. |
Disdain? Oh ye that are seated on the high horse, be careful lest thou be pulled down and trampled upon by the thing which thou speakest against. Spell aright and we just might take your 'thoughts' serious. |
No, I didn't think of a red hammer....thought of a red shovel |
SetrakusRa:Oh Lord! my belly aches |
Sweet! |
So true...like my latest work on kalahari, it was just 3 lines with a different story in mind and it was that way for a year plus but when I checked my 'uncompleted work folder', I decided to complete it and it came out different but better from the way I had wanted to pen it earlier. www.kalaharireview.com/fictionpoetry/2014/9/1/a-wandering-mind-9.html |
Sweet! |
Michelle Unflattering angles...never have been a fan anyway ![]() The title of the thread was about a perfect gentleman...didn't see any gentlemanly act except walking amongst females is now termed 'gentlemanism' |
joywendy: i'm not really a fan of Nigerian gospel but at least i know a few. please what is so special about this k'ore guy? this guy brought one of my favorite group infinity to ashesThank you. Didn't know Detrick owned the song. All join sha, I am not a detrick fan... |
SailorXY: @Enoquin Dem don yab me for facebook tire. Today's game was annoying joor...I might understand trying to jell or understand LVG's new techniques but how do you explain indecisiveness, back passes and general lethargy as if there is no hunger to win? |
I wonder the reason for video shoots, if concepts used are going to be the same. Oldies rhythm - cool but why weren't they dressed that way too? I would have loved to see the brothers sporting an afro. The ladies with wedges and high waists. Dance? There really was no need for it. Perhaps, others should have done the dancing with the brothers and T.I acting as mock judges. So, the concept could have been an oldies dance audition...with the lines showing different oldie outfits and crazy dance styles...it is after all titled 'Ejeajo' Autotune should please be done away with, doesn't help the artiste and is grating on the nerves. Lyrics? Let's not go there...all they sing these days are about money. T.I...cool swag all through; the way it should be. The energy displayed was too much in my opinion. |
topelouis: Where's the leg of that dude standing with a white singlet,,,,,,,is he a spirit or smtPerhaps you need to do another rendering. There is clearly a raised platform. This raised structure has two bodies on it while the rest are lying on the floor, below the raised platform. You aren't seeing the guy's legs because of the angle of the shot (picture) |
Wanted to see what occupation the president chose |
Not to hold brief for the Health Minister but he only reports what he has been told. If no hospitals report to the state health minister who in turn would report to the Federal health minister, no health minister would be able to give any information. Information has to be verified before being reported so as not to create panic. I hope RSG contains it |
OP, no make me laugh for this your thread oh, how can you be sobbing; for what kwa? What exactly is the problem that is making sob? Since you didn't sob when you broke your vows, I don't think you should now...I cannot even conjure the picture of you sobbing and typing; any picture I try to conjure, I end up laughing. Pele oh, no dey cry. Man up is all I would say. Cheating is like smoking. The consequence of the action might not affect only you. You have taken the tests, good; wait for the result. If you really are a 'christian', you won't need anyone's emotional support; you'd have been down on your knees seeking forgiveness for the one that is truly able to forgive and then seeking forgiveness from yourself after acknowledging how truly bad you have acted. As for that your girlfriend, she needs deliverance. 30+ years of virginity only to give it to a married man, olorun o ni je! |
She just keeps giving credence to her critics. |
It is called Abang in Akwa Ibom. My maternal grandmother has one but no longer uses it. |
egopersonified: Put them all up for adoption I wish there was a rolling on the floor emoticon. |
You have done something commendable even if it's not properly done. Why do you consider these buildings powerful? Use a criteria next time. It could be historical and give an intruging reason why it was chosen. For example: 10 Powerful buildings in Abuja. 1. Aso Rock: Aso Rock might have housed various presidents and their families but that is hardly why it has topped our list as the most powerful building in Abuja. On Feb 14th, 3020; the charter for new world peace was signed by our president (the world's most powerful figure) and other world leaders. Again, you could do powerful buildings/edifices for each state, so that a cumulative list for 'powerful' or 'iconic' buildings/edifices in Nigeria would be more encompassing and educative. |
esere826: Phantom, phantom, phantomOh Esere! Well articulated points. I have read/listened to both sides of the arguments and haven't read any well articulated points like yours. All I had in mind is all you have put down. No one hates doctors. No one is jealous of doctors. Doctors should have gone on partial strike and called off the strike when Patrick brought in Ebola. Mrs. Adedovah (God bless her soul) was working in the private and not public sector. Nigeria not only has federal hospitals. She has state, federal military, private etc hospitals. I don't understand statements like 'Who will treat you when you have re-occuring cough?' Accidents, illnesses and infections can happen to anyone, regardless of their occupation. I certainly do not support the government on most issues but I do not understand this venom that most of the doctors have towards the rest of Nigeria especially towards people who are not involved in policy making and are more affected by their decisions. |
