Debroslink: Judging from last weekend's defeat, here are my 5 observations...
1. Our defence line without Pique lacks leadership.
2. I have said it before and I will say it again. Busquets needs a serious challenger. He is too relaxed in his position.
3. We lack that creative player who can replace Iniesta in our midfield. Dennis Suarez and Gomez are so far below expectations
4. Lord Vidal
5. Stop playing Arda out of position. No one can replace Iniesta Xavi and Messi. No one. Especially Iniesta. I am not a barca fan but I appreciate Iniesta effect for barca a lot. How he didn't win a personal award remains a mystery. |

She has done a lot and enough for the guy. If at 29 he still behaves this way then not much can be done. It's not about the money or the car or whatever but his character. He needs to learn good character and be responsible. The only way I see how to is by taking away his comfort. Whatever tomorrow brings forth for the guy is for his own good. We can now see how good your Morgan that you said was better than Smalling is fairing without Kante. We can see how he's being exposed here and there. I told you that it's Kante that's protecting that defence.

You will still face the same recruitment process those with Nigerian certs will face. And if that's the case your ability to convince the interviewer is what will get you the job. If the Nigerian cert holder does that better then you know what that means. Your foreign cert won't save you.
As for me, if I should go outside to study then I don't have plans of coming back or there's a job waiting for me back home. |

SIRcumalot: yaya toure at his very peak is the ceiling for Pogba, hopefully he could be even better. they are very similar, appearance aside. but dreaming of an exotic formation like 4-3-3 with a free role for Pogba in this team considering our coach won't happen. pogba should be able to perform well in his current role and he Will. Well as for me I envy what Yaya did for city but I also want Pogba to be himself and do his best as in scoring and contributing to the goals. I don't think he has to be exactly like Yaya. Yes I know it won't/may not happen and if things go wrong come end of season Jose knows he is finished career wise. So I will just keep calm and see what he can come up with. He has my trust for now. |

Diademk07: Debruyne isn't a CM but a no 10 to begin with.. The fact that he played him there shows that Pep is no negative coach..
However, Silva suffered a lot from this because he had to be positionally disciplined and offer more defensively until Fernando came on to replace Fernandinho in the holding role while Fernandinho got pushed up to play alongside Silva and this helped to reduce the workload of Silva .
After our first 15-20mins pressure in the second half., City still settled back to look as good as they were in first half. They could have even scored more in the second half with the likes of Debruyne, Silva etc wasting some good chances
Hence, I disagree that they were defending a lead. City were very disciplined and that was a major plus for them. United were frustrated already after that 15-20 minutes. Most players were playing far from our goal in search of an equaliser and were required to track back. That could be exhausting. See Pep is a brilliant coach I mentioned that already. Same is Jose. I am not going to continue this back and forth with you. I don't need you to agree with me that they are both good. |

Diademk07: Pep got the best out of him putting him in the Central midfield. That's exactly the place that suits him.
His movement, spatial awareness, one-two touch play, vision and technical skills makes his playmaking look effortless and the midfield his home unlike a certain Pogba who hogs the ball, lack spatial awareness, amble around and positionally less disciplined.
As for Pep, many could have looked clueless as soon as Mourinho ringed those changes in the second half but he countered it immediately with his own master class. Bringing in someone to tighten the defence and/or midfield to protect a lead? Oh puhlease! That is what Mou is known for. Coaches do that all the time unless they have exhausted all their options. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 3:46pm On Sep 11, 2016 |
Diademk07: To be fair to Mourinho, he got some of his tactic spot on.
It also shows that Pep is a master tactician, miles better than Mourinho.. He was lucky to have find a kindred soul in Silva at City, even though he was the one that revamped Silva's game. Silva has always been good though. About Pep being miles better is arguable. |

cocoduck: exactly, but we had to, we could not qualify for champions league, so we have to over pay, the team has not gelled well, but we still have more than 30 or so matches to play, so I am not worried. I trust mourinho, he started out at Madrid badly, Madrid was beaten 5 zero at saint bernabeu, but won the league at the end. Erm he didn't win the league that season o. Won the cup competition though. The team is still in the jelling phase |

joeace2020: Let's be real, there are not many teams in today's football that can play imposing style against a pep team from the get go. Look at in Spain barca could tap till forever while Madrid players kept fighting to keep up, collecting needless yellow cards n red cards, same in Germany with bayern n now he's turning this team to another tiki taka unit. Let's be honest the man can coach and tiki taka works anywhere. LVG tried it allbeit with average players and a too conservative style. The best anyone can do against his teams is come physical and play agressively. He's never liked his teams physical as is obvious from his transfers compared to ours. He likes smallish passes of the ball. The game yesterday needed physical guys as well as dribblers and martial and rashford are more physical than that annoying lingard and mikitaryan. The game plan was fine...the players on the pitch weren't. Did u notice he threw in fernadinho when he noticed how the match was tilting towards us. He was just lucky we started with the wrong people. In this league the most agressive team wins the league and Pep would learn that hard. Wasn't talking about yesterday match. We haven't been imposing enough against other teams until the second half. Check our previous 3 matches. We need to learn to start a match on the front foot |

joeace2020: I like the fact that people are intentionally ignoring the trolls like kokane.prodigy while he is trying so hard to poss someone off. Arsenal escaped with a 2-1 win and they are suddenly world class...lol. After barca 's loss at home to a newly promoted side yesterday I stopped feeling too bad about the game. We played a good team and Mourinho made the number one mistake of any game like this. Don't change ur winning formula, instead make improvements from ur last game like starting rashford, someone who is never scared of the occasion despite his age ..not people who just returned from injuries, fazed by derbies or never experienced a machester derby What would it benefit son of man to reply a cocaine addict? |

SIRcumalot: I don't believe any of these guys can provide effective cover when we lose the ball upfront it isn't like our forwards sabi press sef. juventus defence is still one of the best in the world so dey can afford stuff like this. Pogba's skill set should enable him to function well enough in our system, hopefully yesterday na one-off. If they put in their best they would make it work. They only need to take every match serious. This is one reason why I admire Pep teams. Football starts from the kick off. Not strolling around and waiting for nothing. When I was talking about style all play some of us were not getting me. I meant imposing style from the get go and not second half. That way we can win matches before half time therefore introducing fringe players and resting key players for the next match |

No United fan is asking him to justify the amount. Everyone knows we overpaid and that's the business of the club director and others involved. He only needs to contribute to the success of the team. Ikennablue: When you watch Jabbawokeez or Le Twins dance, dancing looks so easy. When you watch Barcelona play under the tutelage of a world class coach, it seems like Barcelona can play even without a coach. When you observe an Einstein topping his class with an unbelievable gap, you might be quick to think that the class is filled with morons. . ''Let him come to England. He thinks it is Osasuna that one through pass would break their defence. Let him come to England na.'' . Until he came, thrashed his way into the Champions league, belittled Manchester united without his number 1 goal poacher (A man utd team that has the almighty Ibra with a point to prove, Paul Pogba etc), and beat the minions that were expected to disgrace him with staunch defense. Sigh. . Now you are all agreeing with me at this point, but 50% will scream ''No! Goat! Idiot! Fool... How does he even reason!'' when I make the next statement.'' . Take Athletico Madrid and Sevilla into the EPL, and if two of them dont finish in top 3, then Brittany Spears has never done a face lift. Lol but City has been beating United long before Pep joined. 6-1 still fresh and it was at old Trafford |

SIRcumalot: what type of midfielder do we have in our team that can play the remain two positions in the midfield to make this work? I haven't watched enough juve games to know how far. am watching this derby game for the first time and Pogba no dey try at all except for some brief moments. Herera Fellaini Schenedelin Carrick Bastian. For this really to work our front three and full backs need to be very effective. When the full backs go marauding forward the two midfielders cover for them. In that way we have 3 attackers + 1 midfielder+ 2 full backs as part of the attacking set up. Gives the team width and makes them unpredictable. |
