Education › Re: A Prof Has Plagiarised My Research. by ephi123(f): 9:49am On Sep 13, 2016 |
Guitarlife: Some years ago I published a journal .
I was listed as the main author together with my major supervisor for my masters lets say Dr. B, I also listed Prof. C as a secondary author.
Now Prof C. Has moved to another school and immediately I recieved the pdf copy of the journal I forwarded it to Prof. C. Just to notify him.
On the pdf copy of the journal my name is listef as the main author together with Dr. B but Prof C. is only listed as a secondary author.
This journal is my original work and I collaborated mostly with Dr. B.
Fast forward this morning I was applying for some scholarships and needed to reference my journal so I just googled, Lo and behold Prof C. Has already uploaded the pdf copy of my research on many academic sites.
The pdf copy still carries my name and Dr. B as the main author and he as the secondary author but on those sites he claimed to be the main author and totally omitted my name.
Although if you go aheaf and download the said journal it still has my name as he only uploafed a pdf copy I sent to him and am sure he has left my name on it cos he couldnt edit it being a pdf format.
My concern is will I not be guilty of plagiarism if I lay claim to the journal ?
Please note that my name is referenced as the main author on the original site where the journal was published and even the journal has my name listed as the main author.
The majot concern is that every other place Prof C. Uploaded that journal he did not invlude my name although the uploaded material carries my name.
Please advise This is just wrong! The omission is the main issue as he is trying to lay claim to the work without acknowledging the main author (you), it just doesn't sound right at all. |

x240: Maybe you need to scroll back up and read the article again.
Oil companies world over are cutting employees. Canada, Norway, UK and Russian owned Oil companies are streamlining staff strength to weather the low oil prices. Is it a Nigeria problem alone? Is Buhari the one governing UK. Or is he the president of the US where in Alberta alone over 40,000 jobs have been lost since 2014 due to oil.
You lots here can't reason and that's the bane of the country. Basic economics tells you that some jobs are not forever and come with high risks and your current employability depends on current prices of that commodity your employer deals in. It's not rocket science.
Yeah, the economy may not be fairing better but what does a logical person do? What's the principles of a good problem solver? They ask for the real problems and try and find solutions to it.
Why is Nigeria always at risk when the price of oil goes drastically down? Same thing happened 2007 to 2009 when oil price traded around 35 to 50 before shooting up back.
I shouldn't waste my time because a lot of you are lost causes .
$2300 is now 1 million naira. That's awesome news for some people. But wait what do you see there gloom. It's a matter of perspective. A smart person is always positioning himself for the good benefits....It is a fact many Nigerians are shallow.
China is daily devaluing their currencies to boost trade, tourism and so on but the almighty lazy Nigerians want theirs to always be overvalued so they can keep importing rubbish. Sit in front of their tokunbo tvs, eat made in thailand rice, wear chinko watches, plait brazilian hair and idle away doing nothing. This got me laughing Back to the topic, the cutback is happening across the industry all over the world, the only difference is Nigerians have nothing tangible to fall back on. |

FriendChoice: The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, hasurged Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration and ask God to give them the inspiration, wisdom and knowledge to lead the country.
He expressed hope that the country would be great again, urging all to adhere to the tenets of peace, perseverance, tolerance, peace and love for one another as preached by Islam. The governor stated this in a congratulatory message to Muslims on the celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir and made available by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, on Sunday in Ado Ekiti.
“We are all one another’s brother’s keeper and so we should leave peacefully, tolerate one another and most of all persevere in this era of economic recession which I’m sure will be short-lived,” he said.
www.punchng.com/nigeriall-great-fayose/ The clue is in the first line. He basically is saying the current govt is lacking the inspiration, wisdom and knowledge needed to lead the country. |

Bolustic: ^^^ Your money?
Everything isn't oil money sir, we are talking about a former MD/CEO First Bank, former CBN governor and a northern blue blood Because former MDs were being paid billions per month, right? It is only a person who is not in the system that would assume being a former bank MD automatically implies unlimited funds. If you guys are indeed doing your online defense because you sincerely believe in the govt, kudos to you. But if you are receiving a kobo and are being paid for the online mongering despite the hardship people in the country (cos I know a number of you are not even living in the country - so it is defense from afar) are experiencing, I can assure you it will come back around to bite you, it will. Esau eventually paid the price for that porridge he ate. |

Kenai: When you keep them illiterate, you keep them wretched. And when you keep them wretched, you keep them OBEDIENT.
The Northern elites know exactly what they're doing by keeping their people illiterate and poor. They opposed those schools from the get go, because the schools would liberate their lower class from the shackles of ignorance and gullibility, and they can't have that. They can't have a lower class capable of thinking for themselves, disecting their lies and rejecting them. They can't have a lower class capable of challenging their UK-educated children in politics and leadership. They can't have a lower class capable of rejecting their plates-of-rice inducements during election season. They can't have a lower class capable of seeing them for what they truly are. So, those schools are "expensive" because the results would "cost" their selfish political ambitions a lot.
As Lord Confucius would say, "He who knows nothing, doubts nothing". By extension, he who knows nothing, questions nothing. Where do you expect them to get obedient foot soldiers for their numerous pogroms against blasphemers of their prophet? If these children are taught about family planning and population control, how do you expect their elites to get their numerous bloated votes and census figures to help them earn more federal allocation cheques?
The Northern criminals know EXACTLY what they're doing. |
