SeriouslySense: I am not in the medical field, but what i understand by a new strain, is new corona virus, that has mutated, could have adapted, and has been described as more contagious, although it has not be described as more deadly That's true however its not more deadly. same thing but has the abilities to transmit faster in the sense that it has more protein follicles to stick to surface or host |

gypsey: Really? 42k isn't bad, my mate said he paid 90k from ABJ to owerri, (Air peace) I doubt that though.
Okay, I ve never booked oline after I did once, i think it was with Air peace, and the flght was cancelled twice that day. I had to travel by road eventually. they couldn't even refund me, what they gave me was a slip to enable me book a return from any local Airport when returning, (they exchanged for a return). Ever since i stopped booking online.
So what is this story that touches? mine was one way though |

SeriouslySense: There is a new strain of corona virus, and there were some reports that a nurse who took the vaccines, was still infected with corona virus, so it may mean, it is not even working for the new mutated strain, so it means, they may have to modify the vaccines and still vaccines people after the first vaccination What do you understand by the new strain? |

Moreover, some doctors went on social media to state that most covid deaths are as a result of wrong diagnosis. In the early stage, everyone who tested positive was immediately placed on ventilator which killed them. plz speak of what you know. In the 1st instance you should have taken your time to study how covid19 works what it means and affects human so as to make an informed post. |

Baoo4eva: It would be nice to see what nigerian feel about receiving the covid vaccine.
I have received my first jab as I work for the NHS in UK and now have to wait for the second jab as there are uncertainty about the timing of the second jab. Would like to know if Nigerians would be happy to receive the covid vaccine and which of vaccines A bit of a background The WHO has given emergency authorization for the use of the pfizer/biotech vaccine meaning this would be available for use in developing countries who don't have their own internal mechanism for such decisions, Nigeria inclusive. Also, the Astrazeneca vaccine has being approved in some countries such as the UK and recently ,India. It may well be on course for WHO to approve it , this would be a vaccine for use in developing nations as it's easier to store and transport unlike the pfizer/biotech that needs temperature of less than -70degrees. And there are many more vaccines still in various states of trials, 49 of them are already named. The federal government is planning to spend 400billion naira on vaccine , but it is very important to see what opinions are , if people are willing to receive the jab or not. Studies conducted by the FDA in the USA shows that African-Americans are less likely to receive the jab with as low as 4 in 10 saying they would receive the jab. So, would you be happy to receive the jab?? you guys are kidding yourselves that vaccination will never rake place in Nigeria |

These are the gray areas science have no answer 4.The sure thing we know is testing, testing and more testing. |

What if the test turns negative? Would they stop you from boarding when returning?

gypsey: yes, i was even sent the test kit but I didn't bother using it Apparently on my arrival in Nigeria i would pay 50k Naira test again, the 50k isn't even the problem, it is the hassle, delays and incompetencies with Nigerian system that i didn't want I also read that they might make people isolate for 7 days at the goverment's isolation centres on arrival. That put me off also. Did you travel to Nigeria this christmas? I'm in Nigeria as we speak there is 2much hearsay about this. what website says is this.there are two options option one pay 39k U get a bar code and an adress plus contact to go do the test within 7 days in 9ja option two fill in dame form and opt to pay in 9ja.(they are meant to call you). Now I opted to pay when I get called.did not get any call.my guy who paid b4 coming had to repay 50k to do the test cos the said address and contact he got wen he paid online said his payment never reached them and that money was void.so wen I want to rtn I'm going to do the test pay 50k then japa. |

Dreambeat: whether you accept it or not, in a sane society including western world, the school would have been closed down to PROTECT OTHER CHILDREN while investigation is carried out. Leaving the school open after listening to ALL the revelations by the mother of child is irresponsible of the government. I don't even blame the school I blame the parents who still allow their kids to remain in such institution |
