247man:then, end of story if he truly did. But if his name is still there despite his resignation and the Co directors didn't meet the CAC for amendment of Memo and Articles of Association, na dem kill the career of minister Ojo. There's no ignorance in law. |
santaclaws:You talk like a novice. Let me educate you. I own businesses, which is LTD and I'm a shareholder to some banks and oil companies. I bought them years back. In a LTD liability coy, which is privately owned, you're not permitted to sell shares to the public . Your shares are limited only to the amount contributed to the company, in which case you're also a director. You don't earn dividends on the shares. What you earn is either profit or loss whuch is where Ojo fuckedd up. Once the company folds up, you lose all that you've contributed as a director or call it a shareholder if you like. If I want to run for a public office tomorrow, my shares in a public liability company(PlC) won't debar me from running for any office . But if I run a LTD company as a shareholder or a director, I need to approach my team and ask them to remove my name. They'd go to CAC and notify them as well. I hope I've educated you enough. |
247man:Except the company in question is a public quoted company otherwise known as PLC, otherwise, he's one of the directors of that company and he ought to have resigned and appointed someone else to replace him and approached the CAC for the ammendments. Tinubu did same before joining the race in the case of alpha beta. It's that simple. You don't have to keep stressing yourself over this matter. He really made a big mistake. The law would take its course. Gd luck to him |
santaclaws:A shareholder in a limited liability company is also a director. The company in question isn't a PLC. The laws are clear. Good luck to him as he struggles to defend himself |
Odogwuzack:Nobody hates anyone. I just told you what the law says, as touching the political office holders. Get a copy of our constitution. Its a vital document which every citizen should have. I have a copy. You can also download one for free online. There's no ignorance in law. I'm a government contactor and the process had never changed in line with the 1999 constitution as amended. |
Odogwuzack:You go explain taya oo. As a public servant, the moment you take office, you cease to be a director of any company. He should have learnt from Tinubu his boss. The moment he indicated interest to run, he ceased to be a director of alpha beta and his other companies. He put someone else there as director by approaching CAC. Under a procurement act, it's clearly stated each time we bid for a contract, that no public office holders must be a director in any of the organisations that has come to bid for the job. In fact, we do sign affidavits in court to back this up, not just a mere statement so it becomes binding. The interior minister himself knows all these. He's just beating about the Bush. The law wouid take its course. I remember Birth Nnaji who was removed from office cos of the diversion of contract he was involved in, on energy. Though he claimed he resigned but he was removed because the facts were there. These guys have spent only 6 months and all these nonsense had been happening. Its a public office which you must not betray. |
A company owned by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo was paid a total amount of N438.1 million by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation under Betta Edu for consultancy services, SaharaReporters has gathered. The company, New Planet Project Limited was one of the numerous consultants awarded contracts from N3 billion given out by the suspended minister for the National Social Register contract The social register was created for cash transfers and other social investment programmes. In a document posted by the editor of a media platform, Pointblank News, Jackson Ude, Tunji-Ojo’s New Planet Project Limited was initially paid N279 million for verification of the list and another N159 million for the same purpose An independent check by SaharaReporters revealed that the firm has the interior minister and his wife, Abimbola as directors. One Gbadamasi Gbadamasi Clement is also listed as the secretary of the company which was registered on March 3, 2009, with registration number 804833. The action is however against the Nigerian Constitution and Code of Conduct law. The Code of Conduct law, in sections 5 and 6, bars public officers from putting themselves in positions of conflict of interest and prevents them from partaking in any business other than farming. Other beneficiaries of the N3 billion contract include Fabunmi Olanipekun & Co. which got N419.5 million. Vintsolve Global Consult was also paid N558.8 million. Periscope Consulting got N277 million, Blue Trend Enterprise was N277.8 million, Laitop Dynamics Interlink Services got N277 million, Memak Nigeria Limited was paid N277 million, MC Van Management Consult Limited got N275.8 million while Danzinger Nigeria Limited- N275.8 million. “Other companies that benefitted from the N3billion contracts are: Blue Trend Enterprise-N277.8million. “Blue trend, has no record of being registered and the owner is unknown. Periscope Consulting-N277million. Periscope Consulting, with registration number 1053019, registered on July 24, 2012, is owned by one Ngozi Maureen Ojiego, known for Interior Decoration. Laitop Dynamics Interlink Services Ltd-N277million. “Laitop with registration number 1340092, is owned by one Quburat Bolanle Bolanta. It was registered on June 6, 2016. Memak Nigeria Limited with no known ownership and date of registration got NN277million. “MC Van Management Consult Limited with no records of registration also got N275.8million contract while Danzinger Nigeria Limited with registration number 635448, registered on Sep 23, 2005got N275.8million. Danzinger is owned by one Oladapo Rotimi Mohammed. “All the contractors claimed they verified 11 million homes in Nigeria under one month,” Ude stated in a Twitter post. However, a source told SaharaReporters that the interior minister may have got the contract through his former aide and coordinator of the National Programme Manager, Grant For Vulnerable Groups, Thalis Apalowo. Apalowo served as legislative aide to Tunji-Ojo while he was representing Akoko North Federal constituency at the National Assembly. “He was the one who lobbied for his appointment as coordinator of programme under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, he is his close aide,” the source told SaharaReporters. Apalowo was one of the minister’s advanced team who received N2,515,000 for DTA for five nights, local running @30% of DTA, for flight tickets and airport taxis to Kogi — a state with no airport. SaharaReporters had reported how Edu asked the Accountant General of the Federation, Mrs Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein to send public funds to a private account which belonged to Oniyelu Bridget Mojisola, identified as a project manager by the minister. The minister had approved that N585,198,500.00 should be disbursed into a personal account. SaharaReporters also reported on Sunday that her ministry approved funds for flight tickets and airport taxis for her team from Abuja to Kogi State, even though the latter has no airport. President Tinubu on Monday suspended Edu and ordered an investigation into the alleged fraudulent activities of the minister. https://saharareporters.com/2024/01/08/how-company-owned-tinubus-interior-minister-olubunmi-tunji-ojo-got-n438million

kokoA:Indeed...Buhari suspended adeosun, obj suspended his own friend Tafa balogun, he also suspended 2 ministers almost immediately after efcc indicted them. The shouts were so loud for days before tinubu could do the needful . |
aswani:Edo supported Obi mainly for presidency. They may go for another party at the state level. We did same in Lagos, remember? |
....and the media drama/trials would soon end without prosecution. They know each other's secretes. I pity those crying over their matter |
Coolsat:She bin wan pack everything ni .Let me tell you something you may not have known before now. Most of those who are in politics today had at one time or the other been SPVs to presidents, governors, VPs, Ministers etc. The meaning of SPV is special purpose vehicles. They're rarely known. They do covert deals on behalf of their masters. When the politicians appoint or announce them as ministerial nominees from their state, one begins to wonder by asking, who's he, who's she? Etc. The nominee may be young in age but don't try him/her. Don't ask why did he/she get to that level out of several much more qualified men and women among the natives of his/her state. They're mostly SPVs right from their university days to these politicians who help do covert deals including laundering money and purchase of properties abroad. You'd never trace such deals to their masters because its not purchased in their names. That's why they don't see stealing money as a big deal when they are appointed into positions. You can imagine someone who had handled 40bn naira in the past being linked to half a billion naira theft. That's like a fraction of what he or she had laundered before. Don't be surprised whenever they say a minister or a governor's wife stole an xyz millions of dollars. Its nothing to them. So, by the time they get into power, they appoint or nominate their SPVs whom they can trust. They abandon a common man who can do better. Most of these SPVs at one time or the other have been governors or senstors gfs while they were still single and radiating. Go to Nicon Hilton and see exotic single girls waiting to see a minister or governor.Dem plenti. Young guys too aren't left out, sent by political associates to work for politicians as SPVs. You see a young fintech guy whose name appears on forbes and you wan die? You can only wonder or ask how old are they and move on. You can never trace the origin of their funds. Imagine diezani succeeded in all those dirty deals. That man who was her SPV would have become minister under the pdp administration one day and people would be asking, who is he? Where is he from, why him and not someone else and if he eventually steals billions of naira, people would be wondering how whereas, he had stolen even much more in the past. It won't mean anything to him. Only us can rescue this country by ourselves but we're not ready yet. Japaing isn't the best option but a wild revolution. We're still worshipping those whom we're supposed to revolt against and send on exile cos of the way they've destroyed this country and dashed the hope of the posterity. |
aylipple:Only Keyamo I can trust to some extent |
aylipple:Other ministers are like her. Look at them from top to bottom. The head na baba of all corruption. |
After much pressure. |
coputa:Here he comes again |
Same tinubu was shouting diezani name Ugandan. Tinubu is father of propaganda. I blame Jonathan for being so clueless. It's a lesson a future politician must learn. |
coputa:Do that as a governor in ordinary Benin Republic and end up being punished. They'd read the law out to him. Such can only happen in Nigeria and their supporters will be defending their madness, as you just did |
plaindealer:You mean you don't know this man you call fake? He's the highest ranking officer among the military personnel who hail from Ondo state in the Nigeria army today. But I understand whose side you're on. You think like your master ![]() |
I watched it again and again yesterday. What sanwoolu did was very wrong. I've seen same man drive on one way and brt Lane with his boys. Only the military can checkmate all our politicians excesses. If not for their harsh rule, I prefer them 100% to the kind of democracy we practise in Nigeria. See vices all over town. Corrupt politicians who jump from one party to another, abandoning the party that brought him to power and those who voted him there, yahoo boys, oloshos, drug trafficking etc com full Nigeria like this. In a military government, you dare not try it |
alcuin:You've asked the same question many have been asking...did he commit it or a mere allegation to tarnish his church image? Nobody is defending anyone here . You've read my post already so, ponder on it |
JDJDjD:You get wisdom. Shebi Obi wanted that arrangement last year but kwakwanso was so full of himself. They'd have been a great match. Nigerian politicians claim to be copying American style of democracy but they don't act like them. Obama was old enough to be Biden's son but the latter shed his ego and accepted to be Obama's VP. Today, Biden is the US president. Both Obi and kwakwanso have age on their sides. They're highly qualified men. |
aswani:Which followers did obi shed? Dey play. No be only bucket, drums followers ni. He remains the only candidate who can checkmate all these super corrupt power grabbers. If he contests 100 times, he has my vote any day. Had atiku buried his greed in the interest of the party and supported Obi, he'd have trashed tinubu in that election cos those loyal to the pdp in the north world have queued behind obi with a northerner being his running mate. |
osigiepurr:This news is food for the atheists and white slaves to fight over. They love seeing a thing like this so much. You'd never see BBC air all the atrocities going on in the Royal family in the UK and how many times their leading gay bishops have raped people. They should have brought this up when the man was alive, if this was so true, so he could have been made to face the necessary sanctions by the hands of the law. Why wait until now? |
How una wan make she maintain her heavy makeups and costmetics? ![]() This is just the tip of the iceberg. Una never see anything yet. Dem neva spend one year sef. When the head is super corrupt... |
No be first as Eniola Badmus ignorantly talk again? We're competing in pump price with united States, who can buy the entire African continent multiple times, and a well developed nation, when we're supposed to be in-between counties like Iran and Libya? No wonder there's so much hardship in the world. Nigeria's problems are our the followers who keep voting these slave drivers. They earn like usa lawmakers do, in a country ridden with abject poverty |
seanwilliam:Good wives are few among the generation of women in the society today. No wonder our society is in such a mess. Many of them have lost body count. No wonder most of those boys on NL who mess with them always tak ill of Nigerian ladies in general. The only thing they can offer is their body, while the good few offer their brains. I hope they change someday. A good wife is the crown on her husband's head. How many wives today can wake up so early to cook for their husbands? Their nails alone which look like hawk's claws won't allow them to wash plates. Thank God for the wife I married. |
Nwodosis:Gbam! |
Great, naturally blessed ladies ![]() |
Wise man |
jogsman01:Too much of alcohol isn't good. Wike needs a rehab. You don't joke with the one in power. |

Educhopper:I believed your story from day one. Congrats! This is what people should know... 1- Processing time differs, from country to country and this also fluctuates. 2- If you've been to the US before, you're most likely going to have your application prioritised or processed much faster than others who have not, regardless of the standard processing time announced by the IRCC |
