Oh, my God! No wonder this country isn't firing better. How would God see a thing like thus and be happy? After drinking hard stuffs and taken drugs like no man's business and their kidney starts rupturing, they'd now be desperate to harvest kidney from the poor to live. That ailment would still end their lives eventually. That's what happens to someone who doesn't feat God |
youngrichnigga:They'd still have seized it. There was an American Dutch who was on same flight as mine to PA from Heathrow in 2019. She declared the 20k usd on her and still, they seized it . She said she'd speak to her lawyer cos as a citizen, her rights were stampled upon. I just left her and her rants behind and proceeded to the carousel to pick up my luggage. At times, the CBP can act crazy. |
JASONjnr:Tribal and religous bigotry are the 2 baits used by these politicians to always have their way. North is already regretting. Jonathan fared much more better than Buhari in the north and Sultan had confirmed this many times. Every potential politician must learn from Jonathan. He had every opportunity to do much more and nip corruption in the bud but in his words, he didn't give a damn. He abandoned obj when he needed him the most. At some point, he said obj wanted to run his government for him, someone who was a mere civil servant in the smallest state in Nigeria with the population less than that of one local government in another state and with no political experience at the centre, trying to brag of knowing better than his masters. By the time he realised that those in his government were only pushing him into an abyss, just because they wanted to have their way and loot more, it was already late. He started running after the likes of Tinubu in the south, one of his worst enemies who wanted that seat so desperately. No wonder they called him clueless man. Had he sacked diezani and aba moro, just to shut the mouth of those protesting, he'd have got some emotional votes from Nigerians and the margin of votes between him and buhari would have been closed up. Despite being clueless, he was a fair man. Now, crude sale had favoured the apc for months like it did the Jonathan administration, but nobody is hearing anything. To future politicians, don't allow your enemies have their way through your weak point. Try and heed whatever the masses are advising because the power to remove you is in their hands, no.matter how much you spend. Let Tinubu spend his last card in 2027, he wouldn't still spend up to what Jonathan did in the south and yet, failed. He's not going to come back. The hardship in the land is unprecedented and he doesn't even care. 4 years no far oo. I just dey pity those tribalists and bigots out there. |
geoworldedu:You also read the part where I said God can take home whomever He wishes and for the reason best known to Him right? Prayer or being a Christian isn't a panacea for long life and that's where most people get it all wrong. So long as you're on the side of God, you have no problem. He knows about it, you have hope after death. Bimbo didn't die immediately. She gave some words before leaving and that determined where she was going . I cant refer you to what you've already condemned so, no need to do that. Even if i mention the hiv guy's name, of what difference would it be to you? He's just a normal human being so how would you know or recognise him? |
Annahh:Congratulations girl. I remember my sis inlaw who once worked at one of the leading banks in Nigeria before she relocated overseas with her husband. Its enslaving to be working at a contract staff in amy organisation. It was horrible when she narrated her story. The contract company was always taking a chunk of her salary for years before their head of department nominated her for conversion and she went for that exam, another though hurdle for her. Her boss was so happy that she didn't disappoint her when the tesult came out. Her first salary was so fat. All the best! |
geoworldedu:I can see you're one of the atheists out there. God can call home any of His servants any time he wishes and for the reasons best known to Him. There's no point referring you to the bible cos I've viewed your profile already, to satisfy my suspicion cos of some of the unimaginable words you used in your comments. I won't condemn you cos Saul, who later became Paul was worse than you in reasoning The hiv guy's story wasn't hearsay testimony. I was involved in the prayer session that healed him and I'm bold to share this anywhere. It's a day i won't forget. He was attending APIN/PEPFAR unit at UCH for his ARV which he stopped takikg cos of the harshness of the drugs on his body. I don't have to lie about this. I'm a scientist myself and I believe in and appreciate the power of prayers. |
geoworldedu:Hmmm. You said prayer is a scam...and que sera sera right ? Isorite. Even the baby boy with a hole in his heart as confirmed by the doctor and 5m naira was requested for surgery but parents resorted to seeking God's face in prayers and the hole was sealed up which was confirmed by the echo's report in 2 different leading diagnostic centres and no more surgery was needed. So,prayer in that regard too was a scam and que sera sera? I remember that hiv guy who was looking like skeleton when he attended the prayer session and God healed him and he became negative as confirmed by series of tests in different diagnostic centres...the prayer which chahged that scenario was also a scam? SMH! |
geoworldedu:Some of you guys are getting things wrong. Not everything you had or possessed, came into being as a result of prayers and that doesn't mean God doesn't answer those who called for help over one circumstance or the other. You didn't pray for a baby but you got one, fine. Some people have been barren for ages, even had failed IVFs and gave up on science but kept praying for a baby and they got it. You don't have to pray for things you're not in need of. A close relation got deported from the USA some years back. When he got to POE, he was told his face on the passport profile page didn't match the one on the visa sticker. He laughed hysterically because he went to the USA embassy for his visa himself, even thumbprinted in Lagos. After so much argument, the CBP sent him for a secondary inspection and his fingers were scanned. Then their amazement, it was his details that popped up in the screen, proofs he actually obtained the visa legitimately . They still didn't believe him. He was deported. On getting to Nigeria, an immigration officer in lagos approached him at the lagos airport and told him it wasn't ordinary cos she had never seen a thing like that before. He went and met with with a pastor who said he showed the visa page to a lot of people and one particular lady photocopied it with her evil eyes and cancelled it in the spirit realm. His sister also went to their pastor who also confirmed same thing, both pastors never knew each other. They both said he'd go back but he'd have to pray hard....and he indeed prayed hard A few years later, he went back to the USA embassy. They told him there was a mark of ineligibility on his profile and the only one who could remove it was the US Attorney-general cos his case would get at his desk. The visa officer gave him back his passport and told him to keep checking his mail for updates. In short, a few months later, he received a mail from the embassy that the ineligibility had been waived and he should send his passport for visa. He paid nothing extra. No further interview. He got to same POE where he was deported before and the CBP told him he must be a believer because nobody ever got deported that way ever came back to America again, asking hown did he do it. My friend prayed, became a prayer warrior. He prayed so hard because he needed to go back and God answered. You don't have to pray on something you haven't been thirty for. If you are in debt and there seems to be no way out, you can pray to God and He'd make a way where there seems to be no way and you'd be able to settle your debt. I've seen cases like that. Or you're battling an ailment which had defied medical efforts and you prayed to God and He removed it from your body. Or you told God to build a house for you , even when it seemed impossible and miraculously, He did it, or someone whom they said would never conceive again and asked God for a miracle and she conceived...those are results of prayers. |
tollyboy5:Simply put, what drives every economy is the comparative advantage it has over others. Ours are crude oil and agriculture, right ? There would be more petrol but a few buyers if availability is the aim. That's the oil glut I mentioned in my previous post. Naira won't regain strength in this way, which also boils down to the purchasing power that you talked about. Secondly, the strength of the naira is dependent on the GDP. If petrol is affordable when made available, naira gains value and less dollars go out to purchase petrol. Your very first point placed availability over affordability, which I faulted. If someone is buying a bag of rice at 20k, would you go for same quality of rice at 30k elsewhere? The one selling at 20k will gain more and employ more hands for expansion cos business will grow. Same applies to every economy. Energy is a live wire of every economy. Whatever happens to pump price will affect every sector, either positively or negatively. That's my argument...affordability and availability, not just availability. |
tollyboy5:High cost of fuel will always have negative effect on fx, mind you. That's cause of where we are today. Check it. When fuel is available but not affordable, it will affect everything, including the GDP. Even if we stopped importing refined Petroleum products, but cost of locally produced fuel is high but fuel is available everywhere, we won't drink it. There wouid be what is called a glut....enough fuel but only a few are buying it. And if you say you will export, you'd not be able to match the foreign prices. If the fuel is available and affordable, not only will it have positive impact on our GDP. Our fx earnings too would receive a boost. I don't even want to talk of the pdp. They caused the issue on ground by listening to those protesting against subsidy removal that time and privatisation of our refineries. Jonathan is such a coward. I'd have gone ahead and done the needful if i were him. If they liked , let them hit their heads on the rock. I'd not be deterred. What those in power now protested against that time is what they did eventually, even in a senseless manner. |
BitterTruth0001:Buhari's administration really tried on this case. |
erico2k2:Lol. They've been responding already. One moniker by the name basty has already called me a voodoo economist. Wahala dey dis country. Seeing black and deliberately calling it blue. Where does that lead us to, my people? |
Sucre7:Abolition of state of origin isn't the issue here. It won't even work in a country like ours cos of our makeup as a people. But if we can nip tribalism in the bud, just as our forefathers had done, and had a progressive nation, we'd be fine. The present generation of politicians have destroyed a lot of things by toeing that path. No tribe is exempted, cos of their selfish interests. It got so bad that, despite seeing the obvious, once they see you supporting a candidate other than someone from your tribe, they say you're from that tribe . They could go as far as destroying your property or threatening your life. What an act of desperation. I've seen siblings who belonged to different political parties in the past and no issues. |
Putinofrussia:I've mingled with them and seen that, the real ndigbo isn't a tribalist. I've said it severally here that the head of our technical department is an igboman from urata in imo. He married a yoruba lady from Ogun state. We've been to places together globally. Go to FMC owerri, plenty of their staff married yorubas, both genders. Where did they put tribalism before they intermarried? It because it never existed. At the down stream sector, the woman who introduced us to one of the leading companies there is ibo meanwhile, there was a yorubaman by the name Okę whom I'd speak the language with most times and he'd respond in English instead. On the day he was supposed to come down from his office and ratify our permit, he stayed put in the office. I called and called, alas! But he was very much around. The police didn't allow me to enter because I needed a pass to see him. He's retired now. If there's a tribe who doesn't help one another, I'm sure everyone reading this wouldn't need any guessing. O maa ro gbii lokan everybody. Me I no dey side rubbish. Call a spade a spade. Forget all these wicked politicians who always use their gullible supporters to have their way in the name if tribalism. They know how to get them. Just give them 2k and they'd die for you...ordinary 2k. After elections, awon lo maa n suffer ju but their wicked leaders don't care. They're feeling the heat already and smiling over it. Just yesterday, 5 people approached me, begging alms. There's no point asking why they voted a particularcandidate. The deed had been done already and they're at the receiving end. |
tollyboy5:That's not true. There's fuel now everywhere but it's not affordable. That's why you see shops and companies folding up, many vehicle owners trekking instead of driving out their cars tonease movement, maybe you are even one of those car owners. I don't know what you meant about the SE and SS but in this lagos oo, Towo epo ba walę , owo rent, owo ounję, etc will follow suit. If its available and affordable, economy would bounce back and commodity prices which have become expensive due to high cost of fuel to power generating plants by SMEs or for transporting goods to the market will come down. More people wouid be employed and those who have lost their jobs due to fuel price hike wouid be recalled and businesses would pick again. |
Not only about availability, but affordability. Good move, anyway |
Decadence in the society today has taught a lot of guys a lesson. Many guys too have destroyed lots of ladies lives by deceivimg them into pregnancy and abortion so, they don't want their wives-to-be to end up that way. They think they're smart? They're the most foolish. |
raskymonojendor:Another gullible agent spotted. Aren't you tired of being deceived? In as much as export promotion would improve every country's economy and GDP, our problem isn't about how much we import as a country . Every country with bad economic policy, reckless spending and corruption would always end up this way. Imagine the apc removing subsidy 100% from the livewire of the economy ( energy)? Angola, a country competing with Nigeria on oil production in Africa also removed subsidy. But before they did, they had already put enough palliatives in place. That wasn't all they didn't remove it 100%. They only took off a percentage while they subsidised the rest. That's a country with a caring leader who understands the economy and the likely effect on their people whom they serve. Here in Nigeria, we're the ones serving them else, they'd won't be imposing things on us, whether we like it or not and we'd be forced to accept it Our law makers are the highest paid in the world. They're just there doing nothing , buying cars for themselves. In a civilised world, lawmakers would use same cars for years but here, they change it every year...such a poor country as Nigeria. An accountant general stole over 100bn naira under the apc , do you know how much more other stole and went away with it cos they were never caight? Are you aware subsidy is back? When everyone gets sense, we'd challenge these criminals someday and put aside sentiments cos the masses are always at the receiving end. |
Are these people OK? Instead of attacking Tinubu with his awkward policies, you're simply chasing shadows. My agent called recently, begging for a freight of just 805usd. I now asked him guy, what's happening, this one you're sending me messages every minute, you were never like this na. He said I should just come to NAHCO and take a look at their warehouse, that they now play football there everyday, what used to be a hub of consignments. At times , the tarmac would be littered with goods cos warehouse had not been emptied yet. The reverse is the case now. To those saying the reason for our bad economy and worsening naira( about the worst in africa now) was because we're import dependent, you may be getting it all wrong. In less than 10 years ago, naira was strong , economy was OK, investors were always here and there was dollar everywhere such that, officlal and bdc rates were almost at par. In fact, Nigeria didn't witness economic recession at the time the world was in turmoil. How can we get it right in a country where an accountant general...just one person stole over 100bn in a regime of change ? Being import-dependent isn't the problem here but bad economic policies and fantastic corruption of the apc administration. Our law makers are highest paid yet our GDP didn't carry weight. I've been to several developed economies. They import more than we do yet their economy remains strong, so is their currency. Nigeria today is only giants of Africa on paper. When you get to South Africa, you'd know that giants of Africa is a mere alias. Nigeria is yet to recover from the border closure against Benin Republic. We can't give what we don't have. Today, cfa has become even stronger despite the closure. 1,000 naira is equivalent to 520 cefa now, isn't that shameful? Today alone, I saw over 5 people begging alms...able bodied men and woman. Is this the renewed hope Tinubu promised his gullible supporters? When we were warning them that all he's been telling Nigerians that he developed lagos, taking the glory of past governors was a lie, those from outside lagos differed. We have no regret for not allowing him win lagos and that alone is a prove he didn't deserve that office. |
Euroadams:Official rates only |
opebajo11:Ha! Another victim of unscrupulous agents Despite several warnings against the use of agents? Those who would not listen, would still not listen. All you need to do DIY is an android phone with data. You don't even need a printer to scan your supporting documents. There are scanner apps which are available, free of charge. |
joey222:Hola! Apologies for the delayed response. He already had 2 Nigerian students squatting with him. Accommodation in Canada generally is now an issue to ponder upon. Nationals of other countries too had moved there lately, especially Indians, Pakistanis and Jamaicans. Pls keep trying. Good luck. |
Now na faya faya na wah oo. A few minutes ago I read where Sunshine Stars footballers were shot on the busy Benin ore highway. I hope what Buhari's men were saying won't happen...that Nigerians would say Buhari's era was much better. |
The renewed hope at work. Since its not SR that reported this, maybe their gullible supporters would keep silent perpetually |
All the accidental bombings of buhari men never do for iboland? That burantai didn't even hide his hatered from them. Na wah for this man oo |
Great! Most of our players today are busy chasing money. I loved the profile of these men. You can imagine one of them rising to be come his state's AJ. These generation of players doesn't want to go to school. Education remains invaluable. That degree will be needed someday and serve as a ticket to places where money can't place you. Same applies to all these musicians today. Tomorrow, the likes of Davido will become minister while the likes of tuface will be clapping for him. |
immortalcrown:Abi oo. Igboho lo egbé ni. You know what's called egbé. Oogun abenu gongo. This generation knows nothing lol. They believe every leaf is for vegetables. |
Cromagnon:This is quite interesting as you just mentioned one of my areas. So, how many hectares of farmlands do you have and where do you get your post control chemicals and poultry inputs from at the current fx rates and at what cost? I await your response. |
If they asked you to vote a christian president, would you have voted him? Were you not in the apc when Prof Osinbajo was contesting and Muslims were calling him ingrate and unprintable names? Buhari would have been so glad to endorse him but what happened? You colluded against him and formed an overnight concensus IFO tinubu. The latter doled out 25k usd to each delegates and the narrative changed. Nobody forces himself into power ever gets it right. Since 1960, its always been like that...Nigerians aren't good students of history. |
Haydens:Kokori, Don etiebet are different. They're great, exceptional Nigerians who deserve to be called elderstatesmen |
tit:Good point. But no amount of warnings would deter the ladies of this generation from satisfying their desires. Radio, TV, social media report similar cases everyday but they'd never learn. Your bf would take you to see his family and she gets entertained in his house, not in a hotel. Any lady who follows a man to a hotel doesn't cherish her life and the love her family has for her |
