Drug business in Nigeria now cuts across all tribes. So sad. In Buhari's era as military head of state, many would have been sent to the great beyond since, by firing squad. Everybody is talking of China, Korea, Saudi, Singapore etc today on development without knowing how much their leaders had sanitized those countries. Our country is in a mess right now. We can't achieve meaningful progress this way with the kind of leadership in place. |
Racoon:I think she has a right to travel anywhere she chooses, except they are looking for her. By the way, I never liked her. |
Criminals . Super corrupt fellas |
That's why I stopped pitying these people. If you try fighting for them, that's when they'd decend on you. It's better one leaves them alone |
Some doubting thomases will still differ, until they're caught in the web. I had not even read this message when I made the post below some minutes ago. https://www.nairaland.com/7827021/cbn-targets-stashed-dollars-domiciliary#125547674 |
Pierocash:Nigeria isn't the only country importing almost everything and producing practically nothing yet, a country with the worst currency in africa. By the way, it was my humble advice unsolicited for. If you like, heed it or you don't. No insults |
Hello all, don't be caught in the web. If you have a large sum of usd in your dom account, go and withdraw it this week. I don't trust these people. I got a reliable information that the move would take effect this week. If you leave your money there and you'd like to withdraw it after enforcing this, you'd pay a huge sum as banks charges for withdrawing your money. This would literally render the money useless as the charges will be so high. Withdraw your money and keep, if you don't wish to sell it. I see this move crashing the dollar in a shorter time too. Don't join those saying as long as we're an import dependent nation, naira would continue to fall. If they say they want to negotiate with you, be wise. Don't give them your money cos the next administration may not look at the deal. You may or may not get your money back again. Remember our politicians don't keep dollars in the bank. They stash them underneath their building and inside vaults with ac blowing on it. Guide your hard-earned money pls. Remember we've always been an import-dependent nation since 1960 and naira was so strong. Na bad policy and bad leadership dey spoil our economy and weaken naira. We're servicing loans obtained to do elephant projects with almost all our earnings from crude. NA is the highest paid in the world with fantastic corruption. I remember the accountant general who stole over 100bn naira and still walking freely today. These are the reasons for the free fall of the naira....not the amount of imports. There are a lot of countries in Africa and Asia whose currencies are much more valuable or stronger than ours and they import nearly everything. |
saintopus:When they say , you must be a gentle man to the core to last in marriage, many don't seem to understand. This includes being stupiid. You've got to say sorry countless times even when you know she's wrong. She'd end up saying sorry back . Women are so simple to deal with. |
Wodu89:Me. Based on what I know, not what I heard. I'm not paying same fees as members of the church in my children schools. Jamb scores are also not same. Ours are higher. |
Wodu89:Well, I won't judge on that. There's a welfare department who takes care of the indigent's needs as there are funds earmarked for that. They also give scholarships with 100% tuition fee to outstanding children of their members. They decided to set a standard of education in Nigeria, for Nigerians, not only for members of the church. My children are beneficiaries, including the one in the university. I'm not even a member of that church. When you compare their fees with other universities abroad and private ones at home, whist still maintaining the standard, you'd realise they're still cheaper. If the federal government had been able to provide those facilities, nobody would want to go to any private university. Redeemers' university gives discount in fees to children of members. This is one of the areas they're subsidizing fees for their members which isn't available to non-members. |
idady2njsd:Don't mind those fanatics harping on unbeliever and deen stuffs. That's religous tolerance and why your family is happy and united. God is one. We get this kain mixture in our family. See, religous fanstism is what's destroying Africa today and not the religion itself. Religious belief sharpens and guides our way of life, regardless of your faith. We are all created by God not man. God created us first as human beings before we realised what religion should we embrace or practice. He showers rains on Christians, Muslims, even traditionalists who believe in God but feel there are different ways through which they can communicate to God, which Christianity has abolished and Islam, to an extent. Let me share a brief story here. My maternal great-grand father was an ifa worshipper. One day, he called grandpa and other children in the neighbourhood to check their what yoruba would call akosejaye, meaning what they'd become in life. He was consulting ifa on their behalf one after the other. When it got to grandpa's turn, ifa said he'd become a Christian leader( adari onigbagbo) as ifa saw him with a bell in his hand. Same ifa said he would lead his people to Christianity. I'd probably have become an imam or an Islamic scholar today but I chose Christianity When the bible says don't commit adultery, it's for our sake. If you do and contract hiv, it doesn't concern God. When it says don't steal and you're caught and killed or they amputate your limb or you end up in jail, does that concern God? Religion teaches morals. Atheism is the worst thing any human being could indulge in. Its a risky adventure. |
Wodu89:I perfectly agree with you. On oyedepo, I think he's trying. I remember when he wanted to tar the ota road, starting from sango bus stop , shortly after the bridge and the then governor amosun was approached to give them the permission to do so. Amosun now said pastor oyedepo should bring the money and they'd tar the road. You know what that means...? They'd embezzle it and the man of God refused. Later amosun called him and asked him to tar the road and name it after him( amosun) and the pastor refused. He said it will remain ota-idiroko road or nothing. Now that governor abiodun, with persuasion of pastor adeboye(oyedepo's mentor), had approved the construction of the road, there's massive project going on there right now, starting from the drainage system construction. That project is a multi billion naira project. When completed, both the rich, the poor, Christians, Muslims, pagans will use the road. These churches are really trying just that they don't make noise. I remember when rccg tarred a road in osun state and fashola awarded same tarred road to a contractor of Federal government. The company claimed they're the one who constructed the road in Abuja. Somehow, rccg got to know and wrote to fashola that the said road had been constructed long before that time and they received a Federal government's approval before embarking on the project. They visited and found it to be true. They now sent a thank you message to rccg. Meanwhile, when this long road was completed, nobody heard about it in the news. |
Relationships are difficult nowadays because we've either lost or abandoned the process. You're sleeping with ladies/men when you're not yet married. In those days, my heart would be beating fast just because I wanted to toast a girl because I wouldn't know the kind of response she'd give me. Girls were God-fearing, just like boys. The reverse is the case today Most of us lost our virginity in our late 20s and early 30s. I married my wife a virgin at the age of 29 years, she was almost 30 years old. As pretty as she was, long, pointed-nosed, dark and skinny with amazing frontside lol. She's escaped 2 times from rapists who pretended to be friends. One of them was a head of campus fellowship. Many today have lost body count. There's an unseen and spiritual bond in sexual intercourrse which many are oblivious of today. You share in his/her spiritual problem and bondage when you sleep with that guy/girl. You can now imagine the number of wahala on your head when you sleep with many. A friend of mine won Gbenga Daniel scholarship in those days when he was Ogun governor. This guy was so poor. Luckily for him, he was among those selected, alongside children of senators and powerful politicians. A week to their interview at the British embassy for their visa, 2 ladies who didn't know each other visited him. They said they just wanted to see him as he's refused to check on them, they came separately and on separate days. Meanwhile, he had wooed these girls before but they turned him down while in the university. In short, he slept with them, one after the other on their visit. Everyone got visa approval, except my friend. I now told him to not give up but avoid sexual sin cos the devil had seen the future and set a trap , using those ladies to destroy him. He didn't appeal but reapplied. He was on 3 days fasting when he went back to the embassy. His visa was approved. Today, he's a great man, an entrepreneur of repute. Many have entered a wrong relationship today because they abandoned the process. I prayed and fasted over my relationship. I was interested in 3 ladies but I didn't show it. I had to take their names before God. I also engaged my pastors. They never knew each other but God revealed samething to them. There was one of them whom a man of God said had 4 spiritual eyes and possessed with a marine spirit. That I shouldn't near her. To confirm this, there was a day she called me and told me what I was doing. I had malaria and she told me so. GSM was just a year old in Nigeria then. Today, you don't need to toast. They meet on social media, dating app and enter a relationship just like that. No wonder there are rampant divorce cases and family wahala nowadays . People should go back to God and everything will be ok, including marriages, jobs and spiritual life. Even in the olden days, both families would do some ritual rites and consult oracles before going for their life partner. Marriage no be beans. Happy Sunday people |
johnaruson:That kyari mata na arrangee . It was an orchestrated arrangement to prevent him from being extradited to the US. The drug case came up in the heat of his planned extradition. He can't escape justice. Their criminal allies are only delaying it. |
Products of bad leadership, SMH! |
kareemkamil:How? Kindly explain Kareem |
Acekidc4:Go and ask Oba Owu of Abeokuta how he was able to put idol worshippers to where they belonged as a servant of God. Then you'd understand what it means for a pastor to ascend a traditional throne nowadays This man won't be the only pastor of RCCG who became king. Dem plenti. Many traditional worshippers have been converted through their reigns as Kings |
helinues:He's a human rights activist. He's only doing his job without bias. It could be your turn to be in a mess tomorrow. People like Falana would remain behind you after everyone else has deserted you. These guys are doing a great job. Fortunately, he's one of the well-respected figures in africa today. Airpeace is one of many victims of the hatred of the slave drivers UK. This is why I like Abacha. By now, it would have been a tit for tat affair. You can't be raking millions of pounds into your pocket back home in the UK through BA and Virgin operations here but deny a Nigerian man do the same over there. Airpeace has committed no crime by applying to operate in the UK. |
Ok. Hope they do something tangible with the proceeds. Naira is so sick and worthless right now. As if we've never been an import dependent nation since the return of democracy in 1999 when our naira was super strong and the crude export was at its lowest ebb. Only the gullible minds and blind followers of these thieves in power would think the weakening of naira was solely because we export less. That's the song they always sing into their ears and they're not smart enough to ask if our economy was in same shambles in less than a decade ago. An accountant general stole over 100bn naira , the equivalent amount needed by ASUU to fix our university education nationwide. The guy managed to return a fraction and they let him alone. What of the excesses of national assembly and the elephant projects they borrowed hugely to finance, which we're using most of our earnings to service? They'd never talk about all these but about how Nigeria import more and export less as the reason for the naira's free fall. Only God knows how many likes of the accountant general do we have out there who have stolen so much. When you have bad leaders in government, dishing out bad economic policies, headed by novices who were only favoured politically with that position, we should expect what we're suffering today. Naira is now the worst currency in Africa, it won that medal recently. Are we the only country importing more and exporting less? If this isn't madness,.i wonder what it is. |
gaby:Mayhe tinubu wanted to hack him for not being able to manage the leaked information about seyi's purchase of some looters homes in the UK running into several millions of pounds That man doesn't have a forgiving spirit |
Akaegwu:Things were so easy back then |
Ajitoro:That's why they don't see well when voting. They always end up voting the wrong candidate |
GanagiBitrus:Na 3 years dem talk. They need to sanitize their country. We need that here too. So so morons in power |
Naijanascam: . He's a coward. Its high time he stopped poke nosing into a other country's matter. Our own mata dey dia to keep am busy |
BoldBrainz:I was a jambite that year lol. I vex commot common room where i dey watch am, go my hostel after we were down by 3 goals. I was in my bed when i heard goal, 3-3. I had to jump up and returned to the common room fast. We didn't sleep in the hostel. We were jubilating all over campus. After Kanu, I doubt they used the football body ever used golden rule again lol |
ukaface:Tnx for flashhing that naija passport baby 👧 |
chudez0147:Haaaaa . He just told you he's 40 years old |
AlexReports:Happy birthday guy |
ChristianMuslim:Because you can't play politics under abacha, except the person wan die. They always got their allowance as at when due hence, the commitment seen. If you want your staff to remain committed to you, don't deny them the stipend called salary. Let it come as at when due. |
I almost had a heart attack over this match as a boy ![]() |
Bluntguy:Can you tell me just one product made in America than ammunition? Most of their commodities are made in China for American Market. America Imports much more than they export and those exported were mostly produced outside for their Market. That's why Donald trump was fighting China hard and accusing them of intellectual property theft cos America gave Chinese those ideas which made them a developed nation. As America does, we have the market, we have the population. In fact, our population should be for our advantage. Sadly, the reverse is the case, no thanks to bad leadership. |
Bluntguy:Corruption, bad government cum leadership and bad economic policies are the major reasons naira is falling in value, not imports. In most dellveloped economies, they also import. A large percentage of American commodities come from China and other countries . Let me remind you of something. In the 70s, Nigeria was importing, in the 80s, Nigeria was importing, up till year 2014, we were still importing yet, our naira was strong. Bad economic policies and leadership destroyed the naira between 2015 and now so stop telling lies. Buhari came and closed the borders, claiming to be promoting and encouraging the growing rice but without any plan in place for farmers nationwide to grow rice...no introduction of improved seeds or rice paddy, no loan to our farmers, no orientation on how to grow rice among our youths. He merely put a cart before a horse. What happened during that period,? Instead of Benin Republic to suffer this, their cefa remained even stronger and cefa had now overtaken naira in value. You may check that yourself. Today, naira is the worst performing currency in Africa. What is Benin Republic producing for export, which caused thehr currency to remain so stable over the years? can you tell? Only in Nigeria will law makers be the highest paid in the world Only in Nigeria would a leader be owning 3 private jets Only in Nigeria will the accountant general steal over 100bn and still be walking freely. The equivalent amoint requested by the ASUU for improvement of our university education. Only in Nigeria will a founder of terrorist organisation be in government, holding a key position. Until we're able to deal with all these. Naira value will remain falling. India's rupee is a very strong one because they've been able to check all the vices highlighted over decades. |
