50m jobs. They've started again . Same Tinubu said in a campaign for buhari in 2015 that 3m jobs would be generated annually. How their lies keep getting some gullible minds still baffles me |
APOPTOSIS:You can say that again. The opportunity I brought back home has changed my story forever but not everyone could be as determined as i was, especially after seeing and enjoying those good environment and amenities staring you in the face. No be my papa build am, so why can't I also build mine? That was always the thought I had while in America. You can still make, even much more than that, if you can look inwards and tap any unexplored opportunity over there, then bring it back home. America is a land of opportunities but Nigeria is an earthly paradise and an unsaturated environment. This is a fact those Chinese and Indians who came with a briefcase and a pair of shoes but later became multimillionaire in dollars within a short time wouldn't want you to know about. As our people are japaing, they're thronging Nigeria in droves. We're not seeing what they're seeing obviously. There's money here, legit. Like I've always told people who are dying over a political appointment, its because they're not busy. Lazy people go into politics. |
This guy pretended not to be aware of the number of babies who died in university of port harcourt teaching hospital last year due to power outage. Nigeria's problem pas Niger own. Leave them alone and tell our leaders to solve our internal wahala first. |
Revolva:Nope, the maid detected it in lagos, when trying to push the package inside my friend's sister's luggage. She realised the package was too big so she went and looked for a knife to cut the package and split it into two so she could put half of the package into each of the 2 luggage, which the sister was to travel with. Meanwhile, the wicked woman had said the package her friend was to bring for her in America was dry fish so, the sister instructed the maid to find a way of putting the package inside her luggage since it was dry fish and a whole package could not enter the luggage. As the maid was trying to use knife to cut the package wrapped in nylon into 2, the knife pierced one of the covertly packed fishes inside and a powdery substance was seen coming out. This caught the attention of the maid and informed the sister. She was shocked. She didn't tell the receiver who's a friend of hers in the US. She now did a video recording of it as evidence before departing to the US. They now discarded the package while in lagos Hope its clear now |
God saved my friend's sister in 2017. She'd have been eating beans by now. Someone who's been American citizen since age 24 after traveling on a study visa and worked a few years before bagging this. Her long term friend who lives in America wanted to kobalaise her. I won't mention her. It was the maid who tried checking the package that discovered this, it was concealed inside dried eja ęro, numbering about 50 pcs and wrapped with black nylon. She actually wanted to force it inside the luggage. Having realised that it wasn't working, she then decided to split it to 2 and put each half inside 2 different luggage. Then something like powder started gushing out. It was cocaine my people. The maid now called on the woman to come and see what she's seeing. The woman was in a rude shock. She now called people at home in lagos to come and see something, now made a short video of it to be shown to the devilish friend and everyone when she gets to America. My friend's sister pretended as if nothing happened. This wicked woman kept calling her from MMIA, till they arrived in Dalas FW. When they arrived, she was very happy and led her home from the airport. Meanwhile my friend's sister had called everyone she knew and informed them ahead. she told all of them to meet her at home. As soon as she got home, she descended on her friend and played the video of the cocaine recorded while in lagos to everyone. See this eleriibu begging , blaming the devil. If America no pay you, is it by force to remain there or implicate people to live? Since I heard this, I no dey doo nice guy again. Even from USA I no dey collect. I also monitor my luggage everywhere I go. Nigeria is now a land of drugs and would soon overtake Mexico if care isn't taken. Bad leadership is finishing this great nation. When the leader is bad, what do you expect from the followers? Most of them even do drugs codedly. Those who don't do drugs among them are yahoo daddies. I remember that Aide to Gov Dapo Abiodun who would have become an unopposed federal lawmaker today, now eating beans in America cos he defrauded the country to the tune of millions of dollars. These are the calibre of people we have at the helms of affairs whom you and I are seeing as leaders. |
trutharena:I wonder why my name wasn't butchered op ![]() |
Calabar1stSon:She actually made a few seconds publicity on channelstv last night, saying she has a right to contest as minister, while serving as a corper and she's not committed any offence, doing so. Maybe some lawyers have called her to order after millions of Nigerians had watched the press release last night during newshour. If the judiciary isn't careful, a lot of bad precedence will be set in this administration for generations to come and nobody will undo them. You know when you make references in the court of law...in the case of so and so and so, in the year so and so...it becomes a reference for generations to come and that is dangerous to our democracy and future of Nigeria. |
georgeakins:Did you read my post at all? Are we still in election period? |
Mynd44:Are you saying they should leave their country for sweeping corruption off their land? Ecowas is a voluntary organisation. It has no power over any souvereign state. Its just like saying ecowas should have invaded Nigeria and sent buhari away in the 80s after that coup. 90% of Nigerien are in support of the coup. I had shared the response of my friend in that country here before and I'd share it again so you'd understand what's going on there. All we hear about Niger is sheer propaganda. I won't be surprised tomorrow if they say the juntas have started raping their women. It's high time Africans freed themselves from the western bondage. I heard Biden invited tinubu and said he's the only aftrican leader he'd like to meet with. It's cos of Niger coup. Meanwhile when boko haram were slaughtering our people, they looked the other way. But because of their interest in Niger, they suddenly remembered Nigeria cos they see Putin's body language in Niger as a threat to them and their allies like France. Tinubu should just apply wisdom to the matter cos we're yet to come to terms with boko haram war on Nigeria after a decade. Encroachment on a souvereign state like Nigeria will incite the anger of a region in Nigeria and their African allies. Are you aware that our gas pipeline to europe is pasding through niger ? That's a good reason we must be more careful and apply the old proverb of running with the hares and hunting with the haunds Enough said.

rafcrown:The song I composed was nothing but mockery . That town is full of evil and immorality my broda |
itsme01:Same thing you guys said about buhari and he ran Nigeria aground before he left. Una no dey tayaaa? , SMH! My heart bled when over 26 solders were killed by boko haram, aka bandits in Niger state nearly 3 weeks ago with a crashed jet and another 3 in Borno, which was only aired on aljazeera. What did tinubu do? He only said he was shocked and moved on, just like buhari did in 8 years after lives of Nigerians were cut short in thousands. A good leader won't only feel shocked and commiserate, he takes decisive actions. |
Throwback:Indomie entered Nigeria in the late 80s, not 70s . Indomie generation started from from late 80s to date. What we used to have in the 70s was maggi 2 minute Noodles, not indomie noodles. Take note of the word indomie |
Even Crush, Krest and DrPepper, the indomie generations don't know. Dr Pepper still sells in some parts of America and Europe as I speak, in bottles and cans. I saw one in Switzerland in 2017 |
Lol. In Peter Obi's words...those stealing our crude are government officials who connived with some criminal elements from the foreign land. These people aren't ghosts. With constant aerial surveillance, they'd get them but our government isn't ready yet. They know those criminals among them, but still chasing shadows |
The spiritual implications of engaging in this dirty stuff is unexplainable. The devil has destroyed many lives through immoral acts. |
Flathead8: .The north generally used to be a great region to serve. Na insecurity dabaru everything. My concern is their PPA after camping cos they'd spread them like bees to all over the state. Not even 1m naira would encourage my relation to stay in Borno to serve. People don't learn from the past. Life has got no duplicate. Good luck to them |
vannessa7:It's needless to start explaining to you how deep I used to be in Islam and my background before Christ found me. It's never been same experience ever since. My family from the maternal side once ruled Lagos. It's your choice dear. Take care. |
Vinnie2000:Don't mind him. Was he not same man Keyamo was shamelessly defending, a supposedly experienced lawyer and SAN for that matter, despite all the primary schools tinubu claimed to have attende? How keyamo was able to defend his lies that, in Tinubu's time, he never attended any primary school as he studied at home...despite his principal claimed in 1999 that he attended primary schools even without a trace is unbelievable. These guys aren't wise at all. Any information put in the public domain can't be erased. That's why everyone must be careful what he or she writes at any given time cos same could either make or mar your future. I'm waiting for how judiciary will manage all.these lies in their verdict. |
ochejoseph:I'm not even bothered about all the mess tinubu had put up in his political career. What bothers me is the bad precedence, which the judiciary who keeps defending him have set for generations to come. If the bayelsa apc gubernatorial candidate could be guilty of same confusing names on his certificates, I don't see any reason Tinubu shouldn't also be whipped by same judiciary with their verdict. My aunt attended the same children home school , located at police post, molete area in ibadan, just a stone's throw ftom St. Anne's cathedral where the likes of late chief Bola Ige were worshipping when he was alive. His son still attends that church till date. My aunt said there was no record of Tinubu in her alma mater. Even mama ogunlesi who founded the school wouldn't recall tinubu attending her school before her death in 2002 |
God bless the Indian leaders who allowed these batches to go. India has remained relatively peaceful since they left with their madness to form Pakistan |
descartes400:Don't you know the value of rupees? For naira to trade across the borders, it has to be strong in value. Between 2011 and 2017, I was spending naira in cotonou to buy items. I can't do so anymore..cefa has overtaken naira in value. I still can't fathom how naira became so worthless in less than 1 decade. I don't get it. Don't tell me it's becasue we import more and export less..we've always been importing more and exporting less even when obj, yaradua and Jonathan were in power, yet naira was so strong back then. What has changed? Bad economic policies Bad leadership Insecurity Massive , yes...massive corruption. Imagine just one accountant general stealing over 100bn naira under the apc's nose? That money was what the whole of the academic body called ASUU nationwide was asking for oo, to improve our university education. There are likes of the accountant general walking freely today after stealing hundreds of billions. When we're ready to free ourselves from their shackles, we'd stop defending their madness |
Wise people. Indian currency is still way higher in value than the NGN. Maybe one day, cefa too will be used by African countries to purchase petroleum products as cefa has now become more valuable than the naira. Our leaders are so wicked. They keep deceiving their gullible followers that our naira has become so worthless because we mainly import, as if we've never been an import-dependent nation when obj, yaradua and Jonathan were in government yet, our naira was so strong. Everyone go wise up one day when they're tired of being deceived. |
The same certificate error with different names that disqualified the bayelsa state governorship candidate, which gave Duoye Diri of the PDP, who came second to become governor that year...if the court should jettison this, then the judiciary is truly biased towards the elites in the society and a bad precedent will be set for the future of judiciary in Nigeria. |
vannessa7:I always like digging the profile of whom I'm engaging in a conversation on NL to see if I should respond to their mentions or not, given their contributions to pertinent issues here . I stumbled on this with great awe and interest. My dear sister, you've already made your choice and it's my prayer that the choice doesn't end up hurting you. You're a vessel of God, whom He would have used a great deal but , for obvious reasons... your quest for a husband...you abandoned the path of salvation. I'd not judge you. However, I have a few things to drop here. The bible says we would face tribulations in this world but we should be of good cheer...you can complete the rest This life isn't a bed of roses to those whom God is going to eelevate or use in life. You've got to face hard times and trials. You didn't wait for God's time obviously. I married my wife when she was 30 years of age and still a virgin. She's just a replica of you, in description as regards her experience and level of faith. God had revealed to her about me before we finally met. she patiently waitedShebi your sickness was typhoid, maybe with malaria. My wife was asthmatic but God healed her. It was hereditary. Of all my children, only one picked it. As I was praying during a vigil, the Lord told me that, the sickness was hereditary but he had healed my son completely. I was overjoyed. I was thanking God. Since then, no sign of asthma was on him. We got married in a single room apartment and started our life journey together. Today, to God be the glory. We've gone through the thick and thin together. The only thing we don't have yet, which I believe if its God's wish, we'd surely get is a private jet. By the time you mention 10 people who are in my line of business in Nigeria today, you must mention my name. I dine and wine with world leaders and diplomats, including Barak Obama. I remember the first time I met him in a hall near the white house in DC. No child of senator , governor or president from Nigeria was there present, I was the only Nigerian in attendance. Concerning your predicament, every problem has an expiring date , to a child of God who endures till the end. There was a lady here whose name I won't mention who was in your shoes. Today, she's totally free. Her life was in disarray, she was even mocked by another faith for being a Christian. She always had bad dreams and her life was in shambles. She was afflicted with a terrible infection. She always saw herself eating in a dream with strange people, despite how committed she was as a xtian. She's been to several churches, no solution. I picked interest in her case here and replied to her post. She almost ended it. She never believed it when I told her to call a true man of God ( pls I'm not asking you call anyone, neither am I introducing anyone to anybody) . When she said she's been to several churches, I told her, you don't even need to see this man face to face, he'd only tell you the source and cause of your life problem in phone and all you need do is follow his instructions which is fasting and prayer on those key issues so, she was convinced when i said this. In short, she was asked to fast for 7 days, only in a gathering where only women were praying...she was able to locate one on a prayer mountain. On the 3rd day, she said she was pressed and when defecating, she discovered it wasn't faeces but a hard stone. She was scared. She also said she saw a revelation that those chasing her told her they've turned back and wouldn't chase her anymore. Since that time, her life was totally restored. It's my sincere prayer that you are able to retrace your path. It's not necessary judging you like so many here had done. Only God can handle that. |
vannessa7:Oh well, I don't want to dwell much on Tinubu's victory at the election but, that he's the only qualified candidate among over 200m Nigeria isn't a statement of fact. He only craved for power, that's all. He's aim was to fulfill his lifetime ambition. You and I knew how he got there bribing every delegate and co-candidates. I don't believe he's God's choice for us. Righteousness exalts a nation. That's what the Lord says. It would have been better if he had presented Fashola instead. Osinbajo which many were advocating for at some point would have been so weak to rule a very difficult people like Nigerians. But for obvious reasons, he jettisoned fashola. Fashola that I know wouldn't have toed his path rather , he'd have given his all, in the development of Nigeria, given his antecedents in Lagos and as minister. He's the only minister who performed well under buhari. I remember when Tinubu wanted ti remove him during husb3nd term bid. We dared him in Lagos. Had he not softpedalled. Fashola is more qualified. Age is still in his side too. He's a no nonsense man |
vannessa7:The federal government isn't helping the local industries, I maintain. On agriculture, I have a friend who's one of the directors at IITA in ibadan. There are improved and better yields of crops but they rarely see farmers. The few who come to them always complain that the fed govt aren't helping out on granting loans. Check most of the beneficiaries of the so called agriculture loans. They're either former governors or politicians or serving ones who are doing commercial farming. Except up north where emeifele tried to grant some cbn backed agric loans, which witnessed a lot of criticisms for being biased and favoring a particular tribe and region. This is the real sector where the fed govt can actually invest in, hugely and get great returns Farmers aren't being empowered. Cocoa isn't regrown down south. If we had a caring leader, the unemployed graduates can actually be empowered to obtain agriculture loans with close supervision as done in the past. But its not happening anymore. How many Nigerians have benefited from BOI loans in 5 years or more? They're countable. I never compared Nigeria to any country who is 247 years old. There are countries who got independence same time as ours but are far ahead of us today. Time won't permit me to mention names. The below need to be imbibed by any sensible leader who truly wishes Nigeria well: 1-kill corruption and reduce cost of governance, starting from the NA who are mostly ex governors. 2-Review our constitution to capture the grey areas. 3- Make the LG truly autonomous. Let them be and allow them run their government. 4-Kill insecurity or there won't be enough food forever. Farmers had been sent packing by bandits. 5-Create an enabling environment, grant loans to upcoming young farmers, not those influential politicians who would end up doing little or nothing with it. I visited Gen Tukur Buratai snake farm and was like...are we eating snakes in Nigeria and of what benefit will this be to the common man? Its in Nasarawa state. There must be close monitoring on that loan. You can imagine the federal government channeling such loans through state governors. What do you think would happen in the long run? 6-Building a robust economy and stop chasing shadows. Are you aware we had rulers since the return of democracy in 1999 up to 2015? What has changed? We have always been an import-dependent nation since the return of democracy and our economy was well run. Obasanjo met crude at barely 30usd a barrel and naira never depreciated. He built our foreign reserves and we had a robust economy by employed qualified personnel. He went as far as appointing his AG ftom the opposition party. Obj remains a true Nigerian leader. The result of choosing the best was there to sho after he left office. Yaradua came and we fared much better. Unfortunately, he couldn't live long. Jonathan came and things were fine too. Our economy was so strong. Whereas, the group who had been in power since 2015 on the platform of change, who got power eventually, via propaganda after serving as an opposition since 1999 and later messed things up. You know how much 1 dollar is today and what it was in 2015. They said Jonathan experienced oil boom so he was able to do so much and he didn't also do enough. For over 6 months , crude had been selling well and volume had been good. Yet, naira keeps falling yakata. Don't forget we were importing when the past governments before the apc came and were still importing and feeding on foreign goods till today. That's not an excuse for the fall of naira, not even the subsidy removed. His policy isn't just good at all. I will come back to you in the next 2 years and remind you of today, God sparing our lives. I hope you'd not say 2 years is too early to judge Tinubu, same way we said we should be patient with buhari and he almost ran Nigeria aground. God bless Nigeria. |
kcnwaigbo:Ilu to jinna sina, to sunmo aljannah, Ilorin ni ![]() |
A peck would have been better. At times when celebrating victory, try and know your boundaries. It's same as driving roughly and crashing your car when your club or country has won a major tournament or shouting gooooal, and then collapse suddenly and fall to the ground. |
vannessa7:I'm a realistic being dear. I don't dwell on emotions. Tell me realistically, which local industries wouid replace the multinationals who are leaving us? When last had the federal government empowered innovative Nigerians? They don't even see them, talk less of assisting them. These are the ones who would have replaced them. But they're busy chasing how much they can steal. Our polytechnics have become a shadow of themselves. The purpose for which the institution was set up had long been defeated. Remember universities don't earn anything from the federal government on research work sponsorship anymore. Most lecturers use their own funds. That's not all, at a time, cocoa contributed immensely to our GDP, cotton and ground nuts too. Who grows them nowadays? What had changed to the regime who came under the slogan of change? Has there been any encouragement from the FG on farming? No! The few who still do farming have been chased off by boko haram fighters, a.k.a armed bandits or militia men. They came in 2015 that they'd nip insecurity in the bud. You and I know its all lies today. 3 weeks ago, we still lost nearly 30 soldiers. With their promise, by now, we shouldn't be hearing such bad news anymore. Soldiers were killed in less than 2 month ago in Borno but it was only on aljazeera I heard about it. They've silenced the few local media who used to burst their bubbles by reporting their hidden secrets. You may be right when you said people were importing to discourage local industries from thriving but here's afact...even the celebrated economies today also import massively to support local production. South africa , the 2nd largest economy in Africa imports much more than Nigeria does. They only had gold as foreign exchabge earnings. We export more than crude here. Everything boils down to the fed govt policies. Our leaders are super corrupt. See the acctant general who singly stole over 100bn under the apc regime? You can't pretend to be promoting local industries, when you don't make the enabling environment available. As a local manufacturer, I'd still need to order some materials to produce the local ones. Dangote needs some chemical to be added to those limestone he's extracting to produce cement or do people think the only component of cement we use is the limestone? He'd buy fx at 920 naira too like we do, to buy those materials. You don't expect him to sell cheaper than the imported cement. Think about it. Poultry farmers are packing up in droves cos feeds and foreign marerials used are very expensive due to the free fall of the naira. Who bears the brunt? The masses! Imported chicken is now cheaper than the ones grown locally. Too bad! Tinubu may not be the cause of all these but he must change his policies fast. Its killing our economy. His party caused this mess since 2015 he should stop chasing shadows. I voted buhari in 2015 but later changed my mind and stopped supporting him. I thought he was the brain behind the magic of the 80s which i witnessed briefly, but I was wrong. Except the policy is reversed, more multinationals would go. After all, no be today dem dey go Ghana. They're not father Xmas, remember. |
Leadership is by calling, not by snatching or stealing power. Tell them They said local industries must be encouraged, so they can boost our GDP and promote export. The same fake economists have suddenly forgotten that , raw materials from abroad are needed to produce many goods locally. How can I import my raw materials at 906 naira to a dollar and I'd sell at a loss? Its just not possible. This is the reality everyone must know, including those supporting the apc's polices |
nairalanda1:I see |
naptu2:Your family must be among the 20% populace who had a coloured TV in the 80s and this percentage was concentrated in the cities. Even the black and white used to be at selected houses then. I remember people coming to our house to watch football cos they didn't have a TV in their homes. |
