The truth is, many if our exes are our first and true love...the one who opened our eyes to love. My ex still tells me till date that the most painful and regrettable aspect of her life was that she didn't get married to me and she'd always regret that.

What happened? We met when on an IT and she happened to be my very first gf in my life. She decided to get married before we graduated because of pressure from her family side. She's ibo from pa Alex ekwueme's towen while I'm yoruba. She said being the only child, her parents wanted her to get married early. Her mum had her while she was about 45 years old. She first refused to go with their advice. But the family kept putting pressure on her and the big man too was always intimidating me with his money.

She got married and we lost contact. I reconnected with her via face book after years of separation. It hurt so much. I really cried cos i felt cheated by the big boy who married her. About 6 years later I too got married with a good job. About 14 years after we both went our separate ways, we reconnected via Facebook. Guess what? She was still waiting when we met while I was done having children already. Moreover, God had blessed me with everything a man can achieve in life. I had also been to America, studied and returned with a nice job before i eventually set up my business.

By the time we met physically, I think she was pregnant with her first child. I went to meet with them at Shell , Rumuomasi in PHC. She stays there in PHC too, with her husband. There, she told me this...that the only thing she regretted in life was not waiting for me and she'd always regret that . We loved each other so dearly back in the days. Deborah's murder reminds me of my service year in Yobe state as a youth corper.

I can't forget that experience in a hurry and I keep asking myself why these Muslims can so misinterprete issues to suit what they are planning to do.

We had a certain female Corp member from Delta state, she likes painting her lips like � and putting on trousers. Unknown to her she became the subject of a serious hatred and an apparent plan to kill her was in the pipe line.

You know these people have a way of coordinating their murderous acts, it's a chain that includes the high and low in their society.

So corper Blessing was teaching one day in class and a particular student was busy distracting others, she tried to caution the boy and get him to concentrate but boy keep disturbing the rest of the class, Unknown to her, that was the trap. The said boy was writing in his note book and kept tiring them out, so when she went to the boy's desk, she picked up the pieces of paper and threw them away. The boy stood up and left the classroom.

Boom! Not upto 30mins, another teacher came to Blessing and asked her why she would desecrate the coran, she was so surprised to hear that and decided to ask the teacher where she got that kind of news. To cut the story short, the teacher asked Blessing to leave the school premises immediately else she would be kill.

Blessing quickly left the school to her lodge where she told other corp members what had transpired in school. As she was still speaking, a large crowd of Muslims youth were charging and chanting towards the corpers lodge with sticks and knives, they corpers quickly ran towards the gate to lock it , at that point it became a back and push in the gate as the knew that if the youth gained entrance into the place, they maybe more casualties. This happened in Potiskum.

At that point, calls where coming into to the zonal office for help, I was one of the corper rep in the zone assisting the ZI and LI, the ZI, a Yoruba man quickly called the police, there was no action, he called the army, nothing happened, we started praying for God to intervene, we were asked to go see the Emir, we did, but you could sense the whole town was waiting to hear that Blessing had been killed before action would be taken.

What shocked me most was that our LI, a Muslim was so furious, saying she deserves to die for desecrating the Quran, but thankfully our ZI called a Army topnotch in the south east who had to call the yobe command. ( I don't know the process but it was so fast), military personnels came in two vans to take us to the location of the corpers, you won't believe the crowd, youth wielding sticks, knives and a tray but when they saw the military they started running, all the corpers members were evacuated, the two vans couldn't take everyone, so most of the soldiers has to walk beside the vans for us to get out of that place to the zonal office.

We started wandering how writing quranic citations in a piece of paper or a notebook made the paper or notebook a quran.

As the madness was going on in the town, I was given one of the worst task of my life as the ZI mandated me to snick Blessing out of the town.

My inlaws fled zaria in the 80s over incessant attacks on Christians and nothing was done about it by the then head of government who was a northerner.

The consequence of their deeds is there as witnessed today....a region with the highest level of poverty in the world, diseases, bad weather, illiteracy, etc just name it. God doesn't like seeing the blood of the innocent being spilled and they need to go to Saudi or UAE and learn of what Islam really means. Those places are even far. They should come to southern Nigeria and learn of what Islam means...peace, tolerance, etc. The region remains the most peaceful place in Nigeria today...that's what Islam teaches not the sect-like Islam as practised in the north today. That region will be worse than soddom and gomorrah later cos no meaningful thing wouid ever happen there. Their youths are even abandoning that place for south now. What Great news to start the day. I'm more interested in the steel area. The federal government has no business in the steel industry and that's why they keep sabotaging the ajaokuta steel plant. All they need do is create the enabling environment. If privatised, no company would invest in it and not expect it to work, same with our refineries. In 10 years, that dangote refinery in lagos wouldn't have neared 50% completion had it been handled by the federal government. There's a lot of unexplainable sabotage in our refineries and steel plants.

Nigeria had one of the largest deposits of iron ore in the world yet, we're still importing cars and anything made of steel. At times, I'd just wonder why our situation is like this. We should be flexing muscles with the likes of Russia today...as a matter of fact, what made Russia great today are also here in Nigeria, in nearly same capacity. Russia is 8th in the World in gas endowment while Nigeria is 9th so, what's the problem?....LEADERSHIP. That's why we must shun sentiments and elect the right person next year or we remain in same position or even decline, as a country until revolution ends it. When you push a goat to the wall, it must fight back. It must certainly happen someday. Earlier this week, JP Morgan delisted us from the Emerging Markets and what does that mean....investors would look the other way instead of coming to Nigeria. When we were declared an Emerging Market, the APC jubilated and claimed the glory. I hope they wouldn't say its politics now that the oppsite is happening...and its because of the way they're managing our economy. The CBN couid not publish their annual report for 4 consecutive years...this is bizarre, never happened in the history of Nigeria.

We must get it right next year. I can only see one or 2 persons who can move this country forward among those showing interest to contest so far. Others are bereft of ideas. Only Peter Obi is the right one. I'd have tipped tinubu but he'd litter the government with massive corruption. Sorry to burst the bubbles of my people supporting this man this morning. But it's the truth. Anyone who has been close to Lagos government would bear a witness to this. Lagos isn't developing at the pace it should, given the huge resources in place. If not for ambode who opened our eyes though got punished for it, we wouldn't have realised how rich we were as a state and it was because he shunned Tinubu amd his allies as governor and focused on developing the state hence the massive projects seen in such a short time. In spite if all these projects, lagos declared budget surplus for the first time in decades, wondering where those monies had been going into before ambode. And the man who replaced him as they said ambode wasn't a democrat and a party man, what has he achieved in nearly 4 years now? I leave lagosians to judge this in all fairness.
