Now this is one lovely thread where most of the posters have being selfless in giving good and candid advise. I want to assume most of the posters here are not the typical bad-belly, jealousy stricken Nigerians who would have being bashing the OP instead of simply advising like he request.
@ OP, if you can afford to give her more than $1,000 please do so. I am also planning on taking my family to Dubai very soon and trust me we will be treating ourselves real good. We only have this one life to live, we spoil the fun, when we can have it to the fullest, but don't forget every expenses must be in the budget. Great guy |

chidichris: @ADOGBEYI, which god is involved in this nigeria? i don't think it is the same God that i know. this has been the same pattern. every year we gather to destroy one thief and initiate a million in replacement and that accounts for why at 50 we are yet to achieve what 2 yrs old babies have achieved. personally, i don't follow the crowd. today, we are celebrating uk but let them tell our govt the truth tomorrow, wow! name calling will flow. who is decieving who? andy uba while serving as the pa of our own obj was caught in the usa over this same money laundary issue and was jailed/fined in the usa law court and the crime in question was committed even with our presidential jet but till date, who is talking about that? ibori has become too strong for nigeria that we are depending on uk to do justice to the matter or is money laundary not a crime in nigeria? again, how did ibori leave nigeria? how did ribadu leave nigeria? how did el rufai leave nigeria? until these question are asked and answered, we will remain tools with which these fools get to their destinations. how and where in this world will people run out of a country and come back as heroes? it is time nigerians ask questions on vital issues and security is one of them. we must ask how these men go out and come in at will? in a decent society i mean countries where nobody is even making noise about fighting corruption, an attorney general's death without trace can force the president out of office. in other countries, if a whole ship gets lost, i think the president will take the best action by resiging. how long will it take nigerians to know why us$16b was invested in power suply and it got worst? when will the current chairman of nigerian ports authorities tell nigerians how far he went with N300b road contracts? what are we celebrating in the arrest and persecution of opositions to the govt? will it not be funny if jonathan fails in becoming the pressident come 2011 and ibori will be made the all and all because his group is in charge? where are we going from here? You have clearly stated my heart felt pain, but the question i keep asking is how do we rectify this problem that has eaten deep into our system. Who will rescue or save Nigeria from this mess we have found ourselves? Is there no one, at least one person willing to make the sacrifice and turn Nigeria around? These are unanswered questions i keep asking myself. |

Tudór: If indeed this guy was intoxicated when he had his accident then i have no sympathies for him and say good riddance.
anyone who is drunk with alcohol and decides to drive deserves to die. some months ago I was cruising jejely on my own next thing a car just appeared from nowhere hit me and next thing I was somersaulting like cloth in a dryer. i pretty much thought i was a goner and was ready to die. somehow i survived but my car was a heap of crap.
imagine my anger when i found out the basterd who tried to kill me was drenched to the bone in alcohol. had the idiot not died on the spot, i woulda killed him myself!
several months later insurance have refused to pay out and i had to get a new car. all this problem because some fool decided to drink and drive.
thank goodness that dagrin fool didnt take an innocent life with him. . . . thank goodness he died alone. Now this is a very mean and rude thing to say about the dead and most especially Dagrin. There are so may factors that could have led to the accident;
1. There could have being the useless police check point blockade on the road, which he did not see on time and tried to avoid driving into it, but unfortunately ran into the parked truck which obviously did not have safety reflectors or C-Caution sign on it.
2. Most likely he was drunk, but would not deliberately drive into a parked truck if he had seen it. Besides, the truck wasn't supposed to be parked on that road if you have ever driven through Mushin road.
All in all, he deserves part of the blame for the accident because he should have slept over in his friend's house instead of insisting on going home at that ungodly hour. Nevertheless, that does not give you the right to bash him the way you did, alot folks out there will have your head on a platter if you made such a comment in public, because we love him so much and alot of us identify with him. |

Evil Brain: I'm a doctor and I can confirm that none of the above jargons makes any sense. The problem in cases like this is that the relatives have no clue what the doctors/nurses are doing and have no way of getting more information about their loved one's condition. The doctors on their part are usually too busy or impatient to explain things properly. The end result of this is the relatives believing some meaningless nonsense like " he died because his tommy was swollen" or "because of the food they were giving". If he was bleeding into his brain then his "tommy" was the least of his problems. That's a very, very serious complication, and there's often nothing that can be done to help no matter how much equipment the hospital has. Don't believe me, Google "intracerebral hemorrhage" and see for yourself. With that said Doc, don't you think it is the right of the relative of a patient to know what exactly is happening to their beloved one and what they are doing to correct or treat the problem? Most Doctors think they don't owe the relatives any explanation or like you said are just bloody impatient to explain in DETAIL the true situation of things.
It is very sad the way, Doctors and Nurses play with people's lives and i personally will take any Doctor's life God help him or her if this were to happen to my loved one.
I had a first hand experience when my wife gave birth. She was in labor for over 48 hours before they finally decided to operate on her. Whilst the operation was going on, the generator went off because there was no diesel in it and the Animal of an official whose duty it was to make sure such things was taken care of was not where to be found. He was very lucky that the Doctor operating on my wife was highly professional, only God knows what would have happened to that fool. |
Health › Re: Da Grin's Mom: The Hospital Killed My Son by eros(m): 6:02pm On Jun 10, 2010 |
Seriously the hospital contributed to Dagrin's death. Aside from drunk driving which is the obvious cause of the accident. Common the brother was still holding on to life for 5 days, and all the Doctors could say was that they tried their best.
Well, they should thank their stars Dagrin is not related to me, because i would have arranged for thugs to burn down the hospitals and cripple all the doctors and nurses that treated him. Bunch of retarded deviants who careless about people's lives.
You need to be at LUTH or one of those government forsaken hospitals to see how the nurses and some of the Doctors address and treat patients. I almost had one of the security men beaten up when my wife delivered at Isolo general hospital. I vowed never to go to any public hospital again, although the private hospitals are worse off. God help us in Nigeria. |

wazobia-ng: resign your job and watch the goings on from beside the road, then you can answer the question well well. Well, Akala should pay more attention to expanding the roads in Ibadan and getting town planners to map out a good plan for a new Ibadan and stick to it. I guess that will mean alot of houses being demolished because folks over here have no respect for boundaries. |

Architecture is da bomb! I started earning the sensible bucks in Architecture way back in my second year at UNI, i made mad money from model making, from draughting, 3D presentation and rendering that i never had to ask for school fees from home. I started designing and pursuing building and planning approval since 3oolevel for about N70k to N100k a package sand was able to move into my own apartment and start a transport bizness. Now we have CAD and other areas of specialising and marketing, stuff just keep getting better and better. i now design and supervise projects for people all over the world from my bedroom and watch my expertise and account grow. Its very difficult to become an architect though, all those sleepless nites and discouragements but if u do the time and put the dedication the sky is yr limit. Architects with the right idea and in the right place are the most successful professionals doing what they love and getting rewarded 4 it. gbam Grin Now this is a brother who knows what he wants and how to get it. Anyways, i think being an entrepreneur, working in an oil and gas company, ICT company, or even being in politics are some of the most lucrative profession in Nigeria these days.
Unfortunately, Politics is now a profession in Nigeria. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Nigerians Change Church So Often? by eros(m): 6:16pm On Jun 09, 2010 |
I rather have another opinion why people keep moving from one church to another. Only few of them are actually searching for the truth, but funny enough they have the truth in their hand "The BIBLE". Bellow you will fine some points why people keep exiting and coming in to churches.
1. Looking for miracle 2. Wanna belong to the happening church (example: so many of this kind of people are CEC) 3. Not getting recognition ( they move to be recognise in the new church) 4. Looking for freedom of worship (Like deeperlife where you can not dance and sing praises to God as a happy fellow) 5. Too much of Taxation from the the pulpit ( this very point is the most irritating one of them all) 6. misunderstanding among brethren.
Quote from: otukpo on Today at 01:28:56 PM For many reasons. some are;
Looking for a miracle Admiration of a pastor Not given a free hand to do as wished in one church Mode of Dressing Prayer pattern Long or short hours of service Looking for recognition Running away from responsility in search of a life partner In search of fortune or connection or opportunities To belong to the happening church Lack of faith Spiritual blindness
etc etc etc I CONCUR |
