I'd like to call your people archaic but then, that wouldn't amount to meaningful contribution. If the two communities are forbidden from getting married or fighting, it might not be because of a dispute in the past, it could be due to strong biological ties between the founding fathers of both communities (which shouldn't really be a problem now). But then you know your history better so I'm probably wrong.

Short answer:
I haven't seen any reason why you shouldn't date her. But please, let her be if you're the scaredy cat type and can't see it through. The emotional turmoil is not worth it.

Long answer:
A lot of people like me would be quick to ask you to ignore all those fetish stuff and date your love but I know it's easier said than done. If you start, can you finish? If you're this worried now, you'd probably be more worried after kicking off the relationship. You'd attribute every little thing that happens in your life to it. And in the absence of peace of mind, the relationship might get shaky.

But then again, going by your story, the purported curse placed on those marrying from the forbidden kingdom is not really your constraint since your girl isn't from there (except your gods have issues with geography). Your constraint is fear. Most times, fear is the only thing standing between us and the life we dream of. Do not let it deprive you of your joy. I'd say, do your research, talk to your people and ensure you're right about the actual forbidden kingdom and if so, move on with your girl. People will talk but that's fine, we always talk anyway. But most importantly, do not even start if you do not have the mind to hang in there when people start talking or if anything happens and your mind starts playing tricks on you. Don't mess with the girl's emotions. It's still early enough to take a step back if you're the scaredy cat type.

Yes, MJ had a nose work but his nose never fell off during his 30th anniversary as claimed. There were thousands of people there and not even a single person got a video of the fallen nose? His autopsy result was made public, a broken nose was never reported. It was just a tabloid rumour which started after he appeared in court with a band on his nose (the picture you saw which has gone through some editing). The band was removed that same day as he appeared in court the next day without it. As for nose work, it's nothing special here. I can tell you 10 American celebrities who had thier nose done. You, a Nigerian, should know how far the media can go to sell their contents or exaggerate reality. You might as well believe the Indian vs Nigerian match.

Oh... you caught up before secondary school. Ok, makes sense. I knew someone like that too, a friend actually. He was older than myself but because I was always the one helping him with reading/writing, he made it a point of duty to report his progress to me. You need to see the joy on his face each time he read a whole page or wrote some text without my help! I would usually brush it aside in a boyish manner but deep within me, I was super excited for him. Lol.

Actually i didn't start school early due to some challenges while growing up and i repeated a class not because i failed but due to the fact that i coudn't read.

normally i should have been through with secondary education @ 17 but because i repeated a class i graduated @ 18.

For someone who couldn't read in secondary school, I'd say you eventually did well for yourself. Usually, people who couldn't read at that stage end up not being able to read/write properly for the rest of their lives.

Haba, bro! Who have you ever seen mentioning their financial instruments in public? Were you expecting him to say he has equity in so so place, bond here, treasury bills there? A lot of people are living on thier investments (that's end goal of everyone) and the details are strictly between them and their fund managers. He only boasted with his sociopolitical status as a way of saying he can't possibly be poor.

But the journalist didn't ask him if he was being sponsored/bankrolled. He rather asked who was bankrolling him. In other words, he had already concluded the man was cruising on external funds. This is journalism, one question should lead to another. You don't just come up ask the man who was bankrolling him, did he tell you he was being bankrolled? If he had asked him if he was being sponsored, the ex senator might have just used that opportunity to boast of how he's doing it as his contribution to the nation (truthful or not) but asking him who was bankrolling him even without any apparent indication he was being bankrolled was insulting and spiteful. The journalist wasn't at his smartest. FFK also overstretched it.

Nairaland guys keep complaining about how the forum and it's front page are full of uneducative (celebrity and entertainment) threads but they'll all shy away from this thread. If you check their profiles, the favourite section will be "celebrities". Hypocrisy everywhere.
