I never said otherwise. I actually don't know how this affects my discussion with the lady. The debate is that "a couple" doesn't just means "two", rather it could mean "a few" which translates to "a small number of...". And in that context, it's relative to the number of whatever is being counted so 20 could be a few of you're considering the number of days in a year, for example.

The word 'few' is relative nah. We have 365 days in a year, 20 could be a few. If you're considering 1 million, even 1,000 could be a few. It's relative. Some people retain for 6 months so OP isn't wrong for calling 20 days a few. It's just an expression, sis.

It's almost the same price here in the Americas but it's not really considered costly because the cost of production is in the same currency as the purchasing cost. Buying iPhone in Nigeria is like earning in Naira and spending in dollars. Regardless of the item, it'll still appear expensive. It's just like some of us that pay close to N500,000/month on rent but no, we're not rich if you consider that in dollars. So getting an iPhone in Nigeria is like paying house rent for someone in America.

I'm not really religious, I agree to some inconsistencies (afterall, all holy books were written by humans based on thier understanding and influenced by their culture) but I also think some only seem inconsistent because they were taken out of context (e.g No. 6), some are subject to different interpretations (e.g. No.17, the two statements are together and the first part advices you not to let a fool drag you into his mud while the second part advices you not to let his foolishness go unchallenged) while I believe some are just stories used to pass across a message and might not have happened really (e.g. No. 4, the story of Job).

I'm not religious but I actually have no issue with people who consciously give their money to churches. I might advice them but it's not in my position to tell them what to do. Churches are NGO's and as such, there's a limit to governments' involvement.

Actually, there's nothing like a peaceful coup. The precedence it sets is devastating. The next administration only lasts as long as its power can endure and they will have no moral grounds to speak against the subsequent power tussle. Coups turn civilisations back to the days of the early men.

What are you saying? Is the post about people being called civilians? Did anyone complain about being called a civilian? The post is about the military personnels' disposition towards the people they are meant to protect. It has become a hobby for them to torment people and they are not hiding anymore. That's worrisome; not that they called people civilians. Before nko, aren't we civilians?

Think about it, why would a demon take the form of a cat when everyone already "knows" cats are demonic? Why wouldn't it come as a dove, dog or even mosquito? Like you called it, it's just a myth. Cats are adorable creatures and they would easily warm up to you if you consistently show them love (yes, their love is conditional, lol). That's why cats in Africa (which are what OP basically described) tend to be skittish, insecure and withdrawn while the ones here have a much better relationship with humans.

Well, everyone needs one thing or the other to let the emotions flow. But I agree with you that both parties need to be emotionally attached for the relationship to work. We also need to know when to just move on without whining and waging war at the opposite gender.

When you invest this much time yourself, share experiences and have good sex with her, you're also getting yourself emotionally attached to her.

Stop hiding behind sexism, if you have point, make it and leave gender out of it. How can you even think if justifying the house-help's act even without first calling her out or criticising her actions? She could have left the house if she didn't like how she was being treated. Killing the lady wouldn't have made things any better for her. You're thinking the madame was the antagonist based on "more to the story" but you haven't even criticized the would-have-been murderer based on what you know so far.

Both of you should come together and bear the responsibility. You mustn't marry if you both don't want it but you must contribute to make the burden more bearable. You may not have money but taking responsibility goes beyond money. She needs to know she isn't alone and that you're willing to make sacrifices. All these are for the baby and your relationship with them.
