benuejosh:Vote for who ever that pleases you but allow us who believe that Peter Obi is the man to waste our vote in Peace. thank you! I will be at peace voting for the right person irrespective of the outcome of the election. Don't educate us okay if you want to continue suffering in the hand of APC and PDP do that but stop telling us how Peter Obi will never win. Let us worry about that while you worry about Tinubu |

Niorte:Nairaland have grown that when you post and don't get more likes then it means your post is nonsense. Cutting down the cost of governance to invest in other important things is now saving cost, paying all the workers and pensioners their salary accordingly is not about saving cost. I really don't understand how you people think, you can vote to whoever that pleases but stand on the truth, 2023 is no longer Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani, it's about trying something different and expect to achieve something different. It time for youth to take back their country. |

SARSCoV2: Don't worry we are ready to waste our vote, since you are smart enough to participate and make your vote useful by voting for the person that you believe that stand the chance, I can say that you contributed to the condition of Nigeria today since you decide to vote for the person whom you think that stand the chance to win the election and not the person that can change the country for Good. Allow us that believes in Peter Obi to waste our vote in Peace. Thanks and God bless you |

nenyewrites:I disagree with you, he is a man of diginity and never made his money from politics. When he become the Governor of Anambra state, he didn't choose to be the governor but he was choosen by Anambra people even before the election when he is not even interested in politics. |

Tk4all:I can't wait to waste that my vote to the person I believe that can take Nigeria to her promised land, I will have peace when I do the right thing and loses than doing the wrong thing to win. You want him to spread money like others who will eventually collect their money back when they are elected Instead of doing the work they are elected to do. Honestly I am ready to waste my vote for Peter Obi while I wait for the results. |

The change can as well start from Nairaland because they hardly take this kind of post to the front page to allow more people to see it and air their views instead they would prefer to feature a post like "how one man killed sneak in his office" It doesn't matter anyway! |

Politics / Giving 250 Million, To The Orphanage Is Not What We Need In Nigeria by Everest9(m): 10:08pm On Nov 22, 2021 |
I have been following the recent trends how Davido was able to get more than 200 million as a birthday gift from friends and family. That's wonderful I must say, Getting such an amount within 48 hours is awesome and I am very happy for him for attaining such height. But let not shy away from the reality. Many said that his broke and needs money while some said that he needed the money to bring his new Rolls-Royce into Nigeria but was shocked at last as he decided to even add 50 million and gift it to Orphanage homes across the country. The bottom line is that he's not broke and he doesn't need people's money to bring his new Rolls-Royce into the country but wait a minute, he gave 250 million to orphans! Was it the right call? I know Davido has 100% right to decide what he does with his money, how and when to spend his money is nobody's business. Giving his money to Orphanage homes is good and his choice but I think that Nigerians and even the Orphans need more not actually from him directly but from able and well-doing Nigerians. I know many of you will be telling me to get my own money and use it the way I want but let me ask you. If someone gives you 100k in this hardship to use and buy foodstuffs and another person again introduced you to a good business that actually changed your life and that of your family. Then who is the real helper? The first person or the second person? You already know the answer What Davido did was actually to provide food and shelter for a few days for those orphans the money can reach, that's great right? But do you know that the struggle continues after a few days of receiving the money? Do you want to know my point? We need to change the system that every Nigerian, young, old and unborn child can benefit from. What is happening in Nigerian today has never happened in my life but we the youths refused to take action simply because those who have what it takes think that they are comfortable. If Davido can gather 200 million in less than 48 hours then what is preventing those well-known Nigerians from using the same zeal to join politics by forming a youth-supported political party with the main aim of changing the system. You might say that is not easy but if Davido can get 200 million within the shortest time then it's possible if the youths can combine the effort to overtake and possess their possession. We don't have to protest or fight for the division but to take over the power politically. Let those old men in power go home and take care of their children So what do you think? 5 Likes |
