My people My people I had my interview on 2 July, 2019. Forgive my summarized transcript.

I got to the embassy around 5.30am. Later others arrived. I met two guys in queue and the security guys.
They checked appointment letters and stamped on it around 6.30. Paulinus arrived around 7am and started calling us in. And as he called, I arranged my documents. Original and then photocopy, photocopy. After that was the security check before proceeding to the interview area
Waited for some time before I was called into counter 2.
VO went thro my documents, gave me forms to sign and asked me basic questions like

Sure its even cheaper but 100% at your risk if you don't know the person
N/b- if for any reason you decide not to go to Germany again the funds would be sent bk to the account(s) that made the transfer

So I can't tell the bank to send the money back directly to me?

Also for those who have done their interview, how many days after the interview are you normally expected to hear back from the embassy regarding the status of your visa application / approval?

MY TRANSCRIPT:

So I had my interview today July 1, 2019. Got to the embassy by 5:29am met one person but he was for Short term visa. So I was number one on the queue for Student visa. Paulinus then started calling....I attached all my photocopies at the back of the originals to make them easy to access....thanks to Nairaland and my brother that told me about this arrangement (NB: Don't staple them pls, use office pin holders to hold them). So I didn't have any wahala at all with oga paulinus.
Oga paulinus first checked in the short term visa people. They were 5 in number.
I was now told to go in for the interview. But before I went in for my interview , we were around 8 Students on the queue. Fast forward to me and Vo;

Me: Good morning
Vo: what are u here for?
Me: Student visa
Vo: Let me have all your documents
Me: Alright ma. Everything?
Vo: Yes
Me: (I gave her all apart from photo passports)
Vo: Can I have your passport?
Me : It's there with the documents (pointing to my International passport on her table)
Vo: No, I mean photo passport
Me: oh...I gave her 4, she returned back 2 apart from the one stapled on the form.
Vo: you are going for bachelors degree?
Me: yes ma
Vo: Have u not had your bachelors before?
Me: I have
Vo: Y another bachelor?
Me: I chose to do my second bachelor because of change in my career path. I currently own a startup business and this degree will increase my specialization in the chosen career and help me become an expert in the field. Again it will help me to run my company more confidently and professionally.
Vo: ok
Vo: Your email is.........(printed 2papers and gave me; confirm your data and sign)
Me: yes they are all correct ( then I signed on both)
Vo: put your 4fingers, right hand first and then your left hand
Mesad placed as requested)
Vo: Can i have your visa fee?
Me: (I gave her, she then counted and gave me a receipt of payment)
Vo: Alright. Lets start the interview now.
Me: ( for my mind nawaa oo...so interview never even started before!) Ok ma
Vo: oh you have funded?
Me: yes ma
Vo: which school are you going to?
Me: Trier University of Applied Sciences, Umwelt-campus Birkenfeld (NB: I was slow because she was typing what I was answering)
Vo: Umwelt-campus?
Me: yes ma.... that's Environmental campus in English
Vo: Course?
Me: Sustainable Business and Technology (bsc)
Vo: Why this course?
Me: this course will help me to build my business management and technological skills to enable me run my startup confidently, effectively and professionally.
Vo: Is the course in English?
Me: Yes it's taught completely in English
Vo: Do u speak German?
Me: No I don't.
Vo: What do u do?
Me: I own a startup business (I called the name and said I have my website and I have got it registered)
Vo: what is the company all about?
Me: it's an on-demand home services technology startup that connects individuals, homeowners and companies to their professional skilled workers.
Vo: Have u been to Germany before?
Me: No ma
Vo: Do u know anyone in Germany?
Me: No ma
Vo: Have u applied for German visa before?
Me: No ma
Vo: Have u applied for visa at all before?
Me: yes ma(Poland). Some years back.
Vo: ok
Vo: why Germany?
Me: Higher education in Germany is among the best in the world(Then light went off, she said I should pause. After like 30seconds, light returned and she said ok continue). Universities in Germany are tuition free which is extended to us the international students. Also Germany is among the safest country to study for international students and I will also have the opportunity to learn a second language which is German and interact with other International Students.
Vo: Why not Nigeria?
Me: This kind of course that combines Business and Technology isn't obtainable in Nigeria. Secondly, we do more of theoritical learning than practical training so it won't help me to expertise in this field.
Vo: why not Uk, Canada or USA?
Me: Their tuition fees are very expensive. I can't afford it.
Vo: what do u know about Germany?
Me: Germany is located in central and Western Europe and it's capital is in Berlin. Germany is boarded by 9countries. Coming from North u have Denmark, down in the south u have Austria and Swiss, to the East u have Poland and Czech , from the West u have Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands, if you go down a bit at the south-west u have France (She was nodding her head; mind you I was using this North, south, East, west something to kill time small...lolz but all were very correct and I was saying them slowly). The German president is Frank Walter- Steinmeier and he is the head of state charged with representative responsibilities and power. The chancellor is Angela Dorothea Merkel, the head of government, charged with responsibility of discharging her executive duties through her cabinet. Coming down to the legislative; u have bundesrat headed by Daniel Gunther as the president and Bundestag u have Wolfgang Schauble as the president that oversees the daily session of the house. The reunification of Germany was on October 3 1990(she kept nodding her head). Berlin has the largest train station and Frankfurt has the 4th busiest airport in Europe(at this point my head couldn't remember anything. she said continue. I then said German chancellor office in Berlin is known locally as "Washing machine". Vo said what ? I repeated it but this time in a very low tone. She said don't say what you are not sure of. I come say sorry ma with small smiles and then I scratched my head). Immediately football entered my head and I began to flow once more... Germany have won world cup 4times...1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014. They have also hosted it twice..1974 and 2006. The Euro.....she then said it's ok.
Vo: So what's next after your studies?
Me: I will proceed for my master degree to be grounded in business and Technology. After which I will come back to Nigeria to re-establish my company professionally.
Vo: Alright that will be all .
Me: Thank you ma(I wanted to leave then I returned back, please ma can I ask a question)?
Vo: yes you are free.
Me: please I don't know my fate regarding this interview because am thinking of getting enrolled for German class .
Vo: for me u performed well in your interview but the decision is not only mine but anyway u can go ahead and enroll.
Me: Thank you very much ma.

Security people come dey tap me for small choppings as I dey leave, finally I dropped small tin for them. They tried for me anyway.
NB: I came out from the interview room around 7:45am. When I came out, the Students that were outside should be around 30. Though some might be for Certification. By my own calculation, I spent around 30 to 35mins with the Vo and I was interviewed by the lady in Room 2( Her style of hair be like dreadlock). To be sincere, she was very nice and friendly.
*On a lighter note...I no sleep last night...went to bed by 11:45pm and I set alarm for 3am on my 2phones(imagine). U know all these witch people fit remember person on a day like dis. Anyway they no see me shaa. Na so Lagos people dey suffer rain? It dealt with me shaa. Lagos una good morning! Make I do leave una.
Una welldone oo. Na so my interview waka take go.

Congrats, nicely written btw

Ordinary photocopies are okay for interview. You don't need to certify

Would funding my blocked account before interview show seriousness on my part and speed up the visa issuance? is it compulsory or not? as for the funding, how do I do it with the help of an aboki or from bank direct? I don't have a domiciliary account.

I certified copies of my waec and passport at the high court, would it be ok to take these particular certified copies to the interview?

Yes, you need age declaration sworn by your father or mother
Just go to Ikeja high court with one of your parents passport photograph and yours too

When I went to do my declaration of age last week, They didn't ask for my parents passport photo just mine. is it compulsory for them to ask for my parents passport photo?

Why are Nigerians so rude. You’re still typing with the bolded format because you Felle she or anyone can do you nothing

I have been following this thread right from part 4 and now this is part 6 and not once have I seen @justwise (the moderator of the group) say anything about bold letters, you might not like the bold letters but don't accuses me of being rude when there isn't any rule against writting in bold letters, I am not writing in capital letters or using LARGE fonts like 12pts, 20pts and so on. I see people here use bold formats every time, some even go as far as using very large fonts, the reason I made my words bold was when I replied to the user @Deustchemann who has been very helpful on this thread. Its funny that the users who have answered my questions haven't complained about how I choose to format my text, Like I said @Justwise hasn't made any rules about bold text, seun hasn't made any rules about it, back when @jarus was the mod of the politics board he didn't make any complaint or rules about bold text so saying my use of bold text is rude is simply misusing the word used.

In a forum where everyone is free to ask questions people would rather spend time talking about fonts and trying to showcase their standards or intelligence and how brilliant they assume they ate instead of asking their own questions or helping someone else by answering their questions.

Don't ask him his age you have no business with that he actually gave a good advice please reduce your font
Nobody here is entitled to help another we do it at our own benevolence so don't act all high and mighty when you ask a lot of basic and funny questions here.

I haven't in anyway demanded that people answer my question, you might even notice that sometimes I start my question with the words "please' as I understand that no one here is entitled OBLIGATED to answer my questions, they could easily just over look my questions if they want to but for those that answer my question, I also respond with "Thanks " or "Thank you" it shows good manners and also shows that I am not in anyway being rude or petulant.

I also noticed you made a comment about me being high and mighty, I think that accusation should be channeled towards you, you said the questions I asked are "funny and basic", in doing so you showed your "high and mighty" personality! in a forum where everyone is entitled to ask questions and learn, you accuse me of asking funny questions, what could possibly be more condescending and arrogant than that? Do I really need your PERMISSION to seek knowledge and answers to issues that I know nothing about?

The fact that you already have the answer to certain questions doesn't make those questions funny and basic (whatever that means) , one of the foundations of human existence is interaction and acquisition of knowledge, so I think its very high and mighty of you to assume that a question is basic and funny because you already know the answer to that particular question.

You probably possess infinite wisdom so please ignore those of us who aren't as knowledgeable as you are! If you think of yourself so intelligent to not respond to my "basic" questions then that's ok, just kindly move on until someone with less knowledge comes along to answer my "funny" questions. Now if you don't mind, I would like to go back to asking funny questions, I mean I had no idea I was funny all this time, perhaps I could consider stand up comedy considering how funny my questions are.

Surely that can't be your contribution to this topic, seriously? if you don't mind me asking how old are you?

When I checked my profile this morning I saw the notification at the top of my profile that I was quoted on this thread, I quickly clicked on the last page of the thread as I was hoping someone had made a relevant contribution to the topic however I was disappointed when I noticed that your "contribution" was a ridiculous child like attempt to court attention, in some way you could say it worked because I had a look at your profile and I noticed that this isn't just an isolated case, you seem to have a habit of trying to pick unnecessary quarrels with people here, I guess courting attention validates your miserable existence and makes you feel good about yourself. Sometimes certain people try to find cheap laughs at the expense of others and end up making a total mockery of themselves. Shame you couldn't make a single relevant contribution to the discussion. I would like to believe we are all adults here, I would advice that you try to behave more like a reasonable adult rather than a miserable degenerate.

Funding your BA before interview is not a must, so, you can attend the interview with the 'printed details' of your BA with the intent to fund afterwards, usually withing a stipulated time (I think within two weeks).

However, there are indications that funding your BA before interview quickens the processing of your application...This is not a guarantee notwithstanding.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot! Hey House, Between Fintiba and Coracle, which is best to open? also after opening the blocked account, can it be funded by anyone in Germany?
