is it possible to apply for admission to a German university while awaiting your transcript. I am awaiting my transcript from NOUN, has anyone here used NOUN transcript to apply for admission to a German university?
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by evergreen9: 7:13pm On Oct 08, 2019
When applying for a Bsc course taught in English would IELTS / TOEFL be required or would the German uni just ask for 100 Level transcript and Waec etc?

The reason why this thread has refused to die is that everyday facts keep emerging that countries such as Ghana and Kenya are far more bleeped up than they are letting on.Nigerians like yourself and some of us in the past have spoken the truth about Nigeria's case here but you will never see those liars from Kenya, and Ghana open up about the sad realities of life in their shitholes. For example, how can people be starving to death in a small country like Kenya and Ghana with a population of just 27 million be so poor and indebted. How can Nigerians be virtually running the economy in Ghana while their local businessmen take a backseat?

If they don't want to talk about the negatives in their country then that's fine! they have the right to do so. I hate this petty squabble going on here. Instead of worrying about others lets focus on ourselves.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by evergreen9: 5:33pm On Oct 07, 2019
I thought this thread was supposed to show the beauty of Kenya, what's this Nigeria vs Ghana bashing all about? its childish, both countries have good and bad, unfortunately Nigeria has more bad than good, that is the truth! our people are very hard working and smart, however our leaders have failed us. There is no shame in telling the truth. I would advise that you guys drop this petty squabble and focus on more important things.

Guys pls this AD wahala is getting serious o. As I’m trying to rebook without canceling just to know if my booking is still active which it seems it is since July. Means my data wasn’t purged right? I’m just afraid I used October 1 as start date I guess cos there’s no place to input enrollment deadline. Till now no date o. What should I do? Should I cancel and rebook.

This situation seems like its a total mess right now! I have booked and cancelled twice, my recent booking was done on August 14, I used December 16th as my date, I hope something good happens this month. I have already funded my BA, I don't know if I should send the proof / confirmation to the embassy maybe that might show seriousness on my part IDK.

However, their English bsc courses are only for winter semester.

Also a university in Hamm-Lippstadt offers Bachelors in Electronics Engineering taught in English.

Use DAAD.DE/en for more options.

All I can see are winter semester courses, is it too late to apply for winter semester? I would appreciate if you could help me with summer semester Bsc courses taught in English

What will happen if she is not unbanned?

From what I understand, justwise was only being pro-active as he assumed sassy92 was proffering a solution - pay for SL and as much as this could help prospective students, there's the possibility that it could take a fraudulent turn and that's what justwise wants to avoid. So I understand @justwise concern.

However, @sassy92 has been really helpful here and I believe her intention was good as most students can't afford the BA so getting a SL would be the next viable option, We are all naive to some extent and I believe she might have made the mistake of trying to help people get the SL for a price / fee but I don' think she had any sinister intentions in doing so. I think it would be fair to give her a second chance here as she adds a lot of value to this thread.

Remember when I wrongly booked at the Abuja embassy and I was told that since I lived at calabar and worked there, hence my interview will be done at the lagos consulate. So I rebooked on the 28th of august using November8 as my start date. Though my school has been sending series of letters to the embassy on my behalf. Uni kassel. What Category did you book?

Same way people apply for AD and go for interview without funding... Cant just fault one and leave the other.

Its well though.

For those still expecting AD please if its possible to enrol by proxy please do. Dont forget to restrategize and have other plans.

All the Best.

Correct. I was going to mention that but didn't want to come off as an insensitive person

This AD thing is really frustrating but please let's all calm down.
1. I don't think the AD purge thing is a myth, today is Oct 2nd and the embassy was closed yesterday (and will be closed tomorrow). So they may purge today and start giving out dates from Friday or they may purge this week and start giving out dates from next week. Let's just keep hoping and praying.
2. In my humble opinion, there's absolutely nothing wrong in booking for AD before receiving AL. As long as the embassy permits it then you can do it. The key is to cancel on time if you don't receive AL.

I don't agree with this. Pesin no go go market buy car tire in the hope of God giving him a Benz. E no make sense.

U get the AL first then get the AD. A friend who has some insight in the embassy said the application process became messy as some Nigerians failed to show up for their interview as they didnt have AL, this pissed the embassy off as they felt Nigerians were taking advantage of the system and who can blame them?

So you have to ask, why apply for AD when u dont have AL? Why buy pot when u no get money to cook soup?

I tried another booking for the same categoryB but it says my passport number entry has to be unique, that a different appointment with the same booking as been made. I believe they referring to the categoryB booking a made in august. Does anyone have update about the reshuffling they talked about? I dont know if in to cancel the previous one because it says I have an entry with my information, maybe they will still give somebody date( kin ma lò fi òwòmi sey arami. Resumption date I had on the previous application is over. Anyone with same issues? Anyone with a way out?

This whole situation is something else, this mess started when people went ahead to book appointment without having an admission letter (typical of Nigerians, isn't it?) now we all have to pay the price for those who decided to bring their nasty Nigerian "sharp sharp" behaviour to the AD application process.

May God help us waiting for AD, I booked on August 14, after failing to get dates for my June and July booking. I really dont know whats going on. Sent the embassy an email to enquire about the so called "purge" but dem no gree reply. Seems the whole purge thing is a myth. Maybe they want to dissuade people from applying who knows!

I think he's referring to those who borrowed to fund BA. And it also applies to those using SL.

How much are we allowed to take out of the blocked account and would that cover for accommodation, feeding, transport? I am thinking of taking some cash along with me as you suggested but I dont know if the airlines / airport authorities would allow that.

Hi All, I will like to say a few things.
1) Research on the school you are going to. For example, I should have asked about the studentenwerk in my school because Gottingen studentenwerk has a 6 Months to 1 year waiting period (I kid you not), some year 2 people are still on that list. For people going to places where you have long waiting period like me, apply to studentenwerk as soon as you get your admission letter.

2)Learn the Language: It cannot be over emphasized, you have a better chance of getting office Jobs.

3) Most importantly (I am speaking for people in Gottingen), please if you borrowed money for this trip, I don't think (my opinion) that you can start returning it the next month. Let me explain how it works. When you get here, you need to go to the Rathaus to do your city registration and for that you need your international Passport and Landlord's house contract. I got here on the 16th of Sept, I just did my city registration today because I just got a Landlord's contract. After this, you will now be scheduled for Residency permit, I know people that are scheduled for Oct 21st, and you cannot work without that permit. That is to say, you cannot start working till Nov. So, don't come empty handed, bring money that will last you at least 3 Months.

Isn't that why we paid money into the blocked account?

It's been a year I have been here in Germany and I want to use this opportunity to encourage everyone...pls keep going (especially if it is the will of God,) keep going.....may God favour all of u...the best decision I ever made. Already in my 3rd semester.....and yes, job plenty for here...u go work work work but ensure u don't forget school too....Language is very easy and understandable if u are eager to learn...came to Deutshland without knowing how to say "is" in German and now I am almost in B2...anything is achievable just be focused and chase the right things...Wish u all success....
Ps: Dont overstress urself if ur documents are not totally complete...all of these things depend on the VO and grace of God.

Nice words of encouragement, if you don't mind me asking, what region are you in?

Should we start this mid night?

Me am awake

I really don't know, although I was told the embassy wouldn't be open until the 4th of October 2019, I don't know why or if there's any truth to this. if its true then maybe the best time to re-book would be on the 4th but I still don't know if we should

-cancel and re-book.
-go ahead and just re-book without cancelling.
- leave the previous booking we already made.

The whole process is really confusing at this moment.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by evergreen9: 10:28pm On Sep 30, 2019
So today marks the final day of "the purge", so from October 1 we can start re-booking for appointments, right?
