Attention, any forumers currently based in Western Europe.

Autumn is here. Within a month it'll be averaging 5 degrees celsius and real winter follows in Dec as you know with occasional 0 or even as low as -5 degrees celsius.
The Western leaders have shown their true loyalty to the architects of the J/Uke mess by advising their citizens to collect firewood.

Whether a single fireplace can heat a 3 bedroomed flat is ofc another story but things may turn biblical-already the Swiss,Germans and Dutch leaders are advising on limiting showers. The inevitable consequences are terrifying- faced with freezing citizens who they already don't give a rat EFF about your survival as a black foreigner may be definitely problematic.
Pls,organise a contingency plan now! When and if the freeze happens Dutch,Belgian,Swiss and German citizens abandoned by their respective governments will ofc be concerned primarily with their own people. Idk if it'll be a purge;it may very well be- I only know if this path continues there may well be a real life W European Ice Age.
Well this is one of the repercussions of listening to and allowing The United Sanctions of WARmerica to have an influence on your political actions and decisions. The wise ones among the Europeans have booked their stay throughout winter in Turkey, but the unlucky ones will have to bear the brunt of being puppeteered.

If care is not taken, we might witness riots and violent protests in Europe during this winter due to living in unfavorable conditions of Cold coupled with the already existing cost of living crisis, Inflation crisis and energy crisis.

naaahhh bru I think Nigeria needs Kenya more... I mean how many years now have Boko Haram basically controlled the North East of your country?
They don't control anywhere again in Nigeria. They've been dispersed into petty bandits of 10 to 20 members that just carry out hit and run operations on key Infrastructures like Prisons, railway stations, Institutes of learning and so on. But no qualms though, with the influx of drones into the Nigerian military the miscreants will be history.

I've told them from farback days of oga beegs.
But they keep deluding themselves and come here to post rubbish with their south african blockhead sidekicks.

Instead of them to acknowledge that their beloved Nigerian army has a big problem.
12 years into a counterinsurgency on home soil, the army has not developed into the tip of the spear but instead keeps blundering from one crises to another. Like a bull in a China shop. It's a complete disgrace. Spits*** grin grin
Hey Stupid, why don't you criticise America with all it's military might and back up from other NATO countries still lost a twenty years war against "slippers wearing, AK 47 wielding talibans"

I think the Bayraktar drones are for the Air Force not the Army. The Army is still trying to form a light avation squad comprising of light utility helicopters.

Yeah I learnt it will be launched before the end of the Buhari administration. I'm thinking maybe during the week of the Nigerian Independence day celebration.

Turkish made stealth UCAV, the Kizilelma. It will be used on the Turkish Navy carrier TCG Anadolu in the place of the F-35 that was expected but not delivered due to the US sanctions.

This is the 2nd article I've seen detailing the armaments Nigeria has chosen for the OPV:
No missiles to be installed on them, that's understandable. They will be used during this peacetime as Patrol Ships and I learnt one of the two will serve as flagship for a West African fleet of different mix of Ecowas countries vessels which will be formed to checkmate the activities of pirates in the Gulf of Guinea in general

With the countdown to Nigerian Independence Day at 15 days, I can't do but just wonder how things are going to be on that day. The weather, the atmosphere, Mr President's address to the nation, Reactions of Nigerians towards the day.

Most importantly, I hope the military should be able to do more than just march past. I mean c'mon, Algeria had a wonderful Independence day celebration on the 3rd of July with beautiful showcasings of their defence equipments in a march/ fly-past ranging from vehicles of the army to aircrafts of the airforce.
Although our most of our equipments are being made use of and rotated in theatres of operations, the military should be able to showcase something citizens would be proud of paying their taxes on.

First you called it an aid. Then you stated that an aid is not a donation. You prove me right when I say Putin supporters cannot reason.
It's the American govt that refer to it as military aid but anyone sensible will know the US doesn't give things for free and I expected you to know that. It has never happened and it's not happening anytime soon especially in this critical period.

If it's like that, why are the ukrainian tanks currently on ground mostly poland tanks; donated aircrafts, donated apcs... Every thing Ukraine is using to fight now are donated from sister countries or US, EU or Britain intervention. That's to show that, most of their stock have either destroyed or finished or too old to be used. The evident truth is that without the help of the collective west, Ukraine won't be standing today and if Ukraine loses, it'll be a big blow to the west and they also need the war to end fast. They can't afford to let it stretch too long because they will lose more from it especially with the discontent of the recent inflation in Europe. A good example is the change of power in Sweden to the conservatives.
The military aid the US giving to Ukraine is not a donation, they are for sale and they expect Ukraine to pay up after the war either with money or a part of Ukrainian territory that will be under American control.
If Mr Zelensky still has any atom of brains left in his head, he would realize that this war has no benefit for Ukraine at all because his country is in a hefty debt of billions of dollars for the weapons package sent to them, the economy is shattered and Ukraine itself including it's "critical infrastructures" has been reduced to rubles like in Afghanistan. And don't even get me started on the number of casualties of Ukrainian soldiers and foreign mercenaries.

Nigeria air force SOF maritime warfare training with the navy
That Lerici Class Minesweeper in the back ground is almost 40 years. It's about time the Navy replaced the two bought during the 1980s. A possible replacement might be the MHV 55 from Dearsan Shipyard of Turkiye.

Senegalese Navy ship Niani has been launched, it is second in the series of OPV 58S, ordered by Senegal from the Piriou shipyards, it was launched in Concarneau yesterday. The first ship “Walo” was launched in April this year and it’ll be delivered to the navy in 2023.
I learnt that the OPV 58S will be armed with missiles, kinda wonder who or what they are taking precautions against in the form of arming the patrol ships to that extent

The truth is Russia doesn't want to bring in more troops, how can you be using the same 200k troops to fight since beginning of Feb; Ukraine has done 7 mass mobilisation and now they want to start using women now banning them for leaving the country, they have over 700k troops on ground.... Numbers matters alot in a war even if they are just poorly trained that's why NATO fights as a group to augment the numbers factors

The problem is that Ethiopia wants the west to see Tigray as the problem here. But the US and her partners don't want to do that. They want to handle them both on equal footing. That boils down to my earlier point. If it isn't religious terrorism, the US will be constrained to act to please anyone. Ethiopia wants to crush TPLF but the US is looking for negotiations and ceasefire.
Yeah right, the US is looking for negotiations and ceasefire between Tigray and Ethiopia the same way they are also looking for it between Russia and Ukraine by sending more weapons aid that results in the war dragging on, Russia been destabilized while Ukraine is been Sacrificed grin.
Look at Turkiye that is not even a world power but it was able to broker a deal for the export of grains from Ukraine.
The next people on the US list is China and Taiwan. I wouldn't even be surprised if we hear,
Israel-Iran, North Korea-South Korea, Algeria-Morocco.

Enough of depending on foreign products. African countries should sign MoUs on defence relations and work together to produce defence equipments rather than buy from outside, especially from a so called "Super Power" that wants to dictate over the globe

According to the Chief of Naval Staff, keel laying ceremony for 2x 76m offshore patrol vessels for the Nigerian Navy will take place in early September at the Dearsan shipyard in Turkey.

The Navy is also expecting delivery of FAC and UAV’s “by the end of this year”. The ships cost $80 million each and FG has made advanced payment of $35 million.
I wonder why the OPV 76 cost 80 million dollars each while the P18N Corvettes cost 42 million dollars each. Is there anything new and more advanced that will be built in the ships

Are the Karaduwa and Andoni more of gunboats or SDBs?
The Andoni is more of a Inshore Patrol Vessel while Karaduwa and Oji are purpose built Seaward Defence Boats.
With the coming of Dearsan's OPV 76 and a transfer of technology I really hope the Naval Dockyard and Naval shipyard limiteds will be able to construct vessels of a 1000 tons and above the same way Egypt was able to construct it's Gowind class Corvettes. Hopefully before 2030 the Nigerian Navy should be able to replace the Hamilton class cutters with locally built OPVs
