Politics › Re: LASG Plans To Transform Lagos From “Monocentric” To “Polycentric" Metropolis by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 12:02pm On Jun 09, 2024
Sanwo Olu is fond of big grammar and elitist projects. Most on the internal roads in Lagos are an eyesore. He has no time for them. Like one report above, Pipe borne water is only available to those areas that Jakande installed them in 1979.
So what is the big grammar all about?

If Obi want to steal as a governor, he would carry physical cash away. Does this make sense to you? Is this how to steal as a governor in Nigeria?

Appletek:
The same Yaradua flooded Aba with soldiers when Osisikanwu abducted a school bus full of kids.

Have you forgotten how militants rescued Nigerian soldiers whose boats capsized?

See, no one will talk with these animals who killed Nigerian soldiers. They will see shege and whatever comes with it.
You are missing the point. it is only the innocent civilians that you will show your shege on.
The war did not start today. The unknown gun men or whatever you choose to call them are not afraid of the military or the government.
So the question is why are you showing shege to innocent civilians.
Politics › Re: President Tinubu's Statement On Killing Of Soldiers In Aba By IPOB Terrorists by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 11:37pm On Jun 01, 2024
The first thing President Yaradua did as a leader when he assumed office was to make peace with Niger Delta Militants by offering them millions of dollars worth of Amensty.
Tinubu was only interested in the withdrawal of all forms of subsidy and any benefits Nigerians get from the government when he assumed office.
He keeps playing hide and seek with the people, only now to find his voice when the investable happened.
Tinubu as the president should address and dialogue with all the aggreived groups and persons as the leader of the country. This hide and seek methods will create more killings and destruction in the country.
It is not about issuing statements or condemning the act. The president needs to talk with bokoharam, bandits , separatist agitators like Ipob and hear directly from them. This is the way to be a leader .
Food › Re: Nigerians Groan As Staple Foods Soar Beyond Reach by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 9:07pm On Jun 01, 2024
[quote author=Kenochi post=130248861]I read the article and there is a lot of truth in what was said,I will not bother to bore anybody with my analysis but rather speak on my suggestions to this rising food crises which if not tackled quickly can lead to unrest

I suggest the following measures to be adopted in the short term
1) Importation of food stuff (1 to 12 months)
The Federal Government must open the borders for food to be brought in,staple food like rice, beans and wheat should be brought in quickly
Also Vegetable Oil and possibly frozen chicken and fish should be have tariffs removed
People need to eat and they don't care where it comes from

2) Middle term (1 to 18 months)
The Federal Government should work with stakeholders including state governments, private sector and agricultural and aquaculture cooperatives to secure farmlands from non state actors like bandits and Herdsmen

Allow people to know that they are secured and that they would not be at the mercy of this criminals
This will allow continous sowing and harvesting to be going on all year round

3) Long term
This is where the States and Local Govt have a role to play, they must produce plans and roadmaps for their people
The federal government cannot produce food,it is the job of the states and Local Govt,Land which is material in Agriculture is vested in the states and Local Govt.
Let each state who are willing carve out arable land for interested participants, provide Infrastructure for the farmlands and approach the federal government for low interest rate
Also, individuals should be encouraged to grow food in spaces available to them
My mantra is Buy some, Grow some

People are getting fed up and the time for stories are over,we need an Operation Feed the people now

Good thinking from you, but those in authority would not think like that.
Politics › Re: Renewed Hope or Dashed hope?: Rate Tinubu's Administration In One Year by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 9:19am On May 29, 2024
Looking at Tinubu's body language and utterances, there is no hope for this country. More hardship will come.
Countries that were at war are better than Nigeria.
Nigerian will surely survive Tinubu, that's what I'm sure of.

Propaganda as usual. Tell us if the section 3 and 4 you mentioned were awarded to a different company or the same company handling section 1.

When we tell them, that it is not about what they said, they say we don't like good things.

I gave that road a minimum completion time of 25 years. Go mark it if you are interested in the project.
Politics › Re: Heineken Lokpobiri: FG Unaware Dangote Imports Crude From US by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 7:34am On May 24, 2024
This is the height of foolishness for a minister to say that he is not aware that that Dangote Refinery buys crude from the USA.
It is also an embarrassment of the highest order.
He also does not know that FG is paying subsidy on fuel
This statement has exposed why things are the way they are with this administration. The minister is only after what to loot not knowing his duty or how the government operates.
This is too embarrassing for the so called minister. I think he should resign.
Sports › Re: BETTING: What Does This Numbers Means by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 7:34am On May 23, 2024
Okay, as for your second question, the Odds are generated by the bet coys based on their perceived outcomes of the matches.
If they feel that a particular team is stronger they will give it a small odd.
So they generate the odds based on probability of what they think the results will be.
Sports › Re: BETTING: What Does This Numbers Means by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 7:25am On May 23, 2024
That is called the odd. It is what the bet coy will play on that match.
1 means home win. if the home team wins this match you win 2.86 x any amount you put. So if you stake N100 on home winning, if Bologna win the match, you win 2.86 x 100 = N286.
x, means draw. if they play draw, the odd is 3.05. That is if stake N100 on draw and it draws, you win 3.05 x100 = N305.
2, means away win. the odd is 2.86. That is if Juventus wins the match. You can do the calculations.
Note also that if you put millions on the match, the winnings will be in millions as well. That's it.

TheSuperX:
He might not make sense to you but this is the reality, Bola Tinubu would rather die than not winning second term. if only Atiku and Peter Obi joined hands in the last election, Tinubu wouldn't have won but now that Tinubu is on seat, it will be impossible for them to win in next election.
Go to streets of Lagos, or any State in Nigeria and said that. Tell them that it is impossible.
Politics › Re: Peter Obi’s Only Chance To Presidency Is 2039 – Bwala by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 7:38am On May 21, 2024
Peter Obi is not your problem. You are actually insulting the nation.
You think that it is "win the presidency and go and spend 8 years there" It doesn't matter what you do there. You are saying that Nigerians cannot vote you out.
But this time you are wrong. If Good luck Jonathan could be voted out, anybody can.
Tinubu cannot rule Nigeria for 8 years. Go to the streets and verify.
This is where you will start your calculations and permutations from.

Politics › Re: What Exactly Did The Electoral-Act-2022 Say About The Election Results.?? by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 4:47pm On Mar 02, 2023
BluntCrazeMan:
Now let's look at it from another perspective..

Let us assume that the “Transmission” as mentioned in the Electoral Act is NOT Electronic Transmission...

Was Manual Transmission mentioned in the Act??

Because, we could also assume spiritual transmission, or even mental transmission..
The Electoral Act from all indications implies two results, one transmitted from the polling unit and the other collated by the Returning officer. Such that one could be used for verification when announcing the result. The question is, did INEC has two results for verification whether transmitted manually or electronically? They don't. There was no transmission as required by the electoral act. It was just a one-way result which the electoral act is against. This is the crux of the matter.

franchasng:
I will advice GRVLagos not to unveil his plans to end agberos in Lagos because doing that will jeopardize his chances at the poll because majority of Lagos indigenes or let me say, Southwest indigenes believe otherwise, as they argue that it is only Igbos that are crying about agberos whereas Igbos have agberos in Onitsha, Aba, etc, so to the Lagos/Yoruba indigenes, GRVLagos agreeing to end agberos mean he only wants to please Igbos which they hate with passion
In Onitsha, Aba and other Igbo towns, Agberos operate in the various motor parks, not in the streets and bus stops as obtained in Lagos.
Career › Re: I Am 30, Unmarried And Unhappy At My Job. I Want To have a career change by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 2:15pm On Mar 14, 2022
OP, your problem is very complex, you don't even understand it. You just put age in front as if age is the problem. Your 2m cash can also be wiped out in one bad decision so it does not count as well. I wish there is time to analyse your problem and the solutions, but there is none here. You are 30 and hoping to live 80+. So you have 50+ years to worry about and not the 30 that you have passed. Think deeper and act on what you want and stop making excuses. That's the much I can say here.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How A Highly Intelligent Lady Lost A Job Opportunity. by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 1:42pm On Oct 22, 2021
I did a recruitment interview for my company. In the end, one lady performed above others in both the written and oral interviews. I recommended her for the job. The lady had a low cut. The boss said that he is not comfortable with ladies that had low cuts. That I should look for another. I told him that the girl is good for that job from my assessment. That we should advise her to be putting on wigs. He asked if I knew the girl before, I said no. He asked if I have collected any form of bribe, I said no. He then accepted and the lady was employed.
Three weeks later, the boss told me that the lady is doing very well on the job and asked me to review her salary. Within 6 months, he bought a personal car for her and keep on praising her for doing the jod well.
The core objectives are what matters, job seekers are usually anxious at first, such thing could be overlooked and corrected immediately since she was good.

Business › Which Is The Best Ebook Publishing Options For Me. by EXPRESSSMAN(op): 12:26pm On May 14, 2021
Hi, Nairalanders, Please I need people with experience in ebook publishing to help me out.
I want to enter the ebook publishing sector. I have some Nigerian educational books and informational books on relationships, parenting, marriage success, love, and others. About 30 different tittles all developed by me. I know of Amazon publishing, Ingram, Okada, and others. I also know of setting my own site and promoting from there.
As a newbie in this area, which option or combinations is good for me. I have also raised some money for the takeoff and most of the books are ready to be uploaded. Someone advised me to source out the publishing to these vanity publishers and concentrate on course creation which is part of my business models. I need some advice from those engaged in this ebook publishing. Thank you as you do so.
Business › Re: How Do You Make Your Own Money On The Internt? by EXPRESSSMAN(op): 10:41am On Nov 08, 2019
[quote author=webshopNG post=83796987]Yes making money online is one of the most difficult thing on earth and its not for lazy people. No one will handl you a dollar for free on the internet if you have nothing to offer and you have to make conscious deliberate effort. You can speed it up by dedicating some investments for marketing just as in your 9 to 5 job, your business will be dead without marketing.
So what's your point ?
Are you just lazy or you have nothing to offer that's why none of the above listed isn't working for you.

I like your contributions. You accepted that "making money online is one of the most difficult thing on earth". The gurus that sell the information to us do not say so. They tell us lies to collect our money, only for us to be stranded halfway when we could not get the result they promised in the beginning. If you truly tell me how things work, then I will be prepared for it. Not half-truths that do not work.
Business › How Do You Make Your Own Money On The Internt? by EXPRESSSMAN(op): 1:38pm On Nov 06, 2019
HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR OWN MONEY ON THE INTERNET?
The Nigerian internet gurus would tell you that with a Phone/laptop and internet connection, you would be the next Bill Gate in one month. They would tell you that unlike Bill Gate, that you don’t need to do anything for the money to roll in. They will hand over their Master strategy that is Making One million Naira for them every day, once you paid them your five thousand Naira.
Not done yet, they would also promise to give you bonuses worth 2million Naira free, which will make additional 10million Naira for you, all for your five thousand Naira. They will mount so much pressure that you keep wondering “How come he wants this my 5k so badly upon his claim of making millions every 24hours’’. How not to make money on the internet.
1. Paid Survey. I once pay one of the gurus for survey program. He promised heaven and earth to get my money and to set it up for me. VPN, Credit Card, US address, Verified Paypal, US bank Account, Swift network modem etc. After investing about 500USD and working for 2months, nothing came out of it. The company he recommended did not pay. All effort and resources wasted. My 100USD is still trapped in PayPal as he said no withdrawal except a Merchant pays in money into my Account. I keep wondering how someone will be teaching what he is not sure that works.
2. Amazon Publishing. Some claimed that they make millions from Amazon Kindle publishing. I have some books there as well. Amazon Is an American thing. You have to write what Americans wants and to their standard. You also need dollars to promote it to get any attention at all. So the idea that as a Nigerian, You made millions there, forget it. There are over one billion books there so how will anybody notice your own in the first place?
3. Fiverr. As said above, it is an American thing with American needs and standard. Millions of People hustling for a 5-dollar job. It will be easier to win a Federal government contract than to get a 10 dollar paying job at Fiverr. So forget it as an option of making money on the net as a Nigerian. It is the same with other UPwork sites.
4. Binary option/ Forex trading. High speculative business, with luck and good strategy, one can make money from them on good day. But sustainability is not guaranteed on them.
5. Affiliate/freelancing. They claim that you just set it up and millions in commission will begin to roll in for you. Major affiliate sites do not accept Nigerians. Then People like me will not promote anything I did not confirm. So beware of being used by others in promoting fake /substandard information or products in the name of Affiliate marketing.
6. Blogging. People easily mention blogging as a way of making money on the net. But they forgot to let you know that blogging is a full time business. You need the expertise and the resources to set it up and grow it to the level of making money out of it. It is not a thing to make quick money.
7. Mini-Importation/China drop- shipping. Importation will be good when you are already a trader, already know what people wants and the various sources and cost of getting them. You will then be in the position to know if importing at the prevailing exchange rate will be better. Don’t venture into it from nowhere. You cannot make it. Develop your line of business first before you know where to source your products from.
8. Bitcoins investment. Beware of this scheme, It has no solid foundation. Advanced economies see it as a means of laundering money. It is not backed by any strong economy. It can crash and be phased out any anytime.
So if you’re truly making money on the internet, tells us; how easy or difficult it is. Then is the money in Millions?
