afrikanns: Never will i blame you cos you ve not witnessed one b4, go to your village and ask all those grapa and ma that are still alive, they will tell u the grave consequences of war, when were you even born self? If you Ibo are takin as 3rd class citizen make una jeje dey manage am, end result of war nobody dey live to narate am oooooh ibo kwenu!!!!And I bet you have witnessed one, Armchair field marshall? Who is fighting a war with you? My advise to Nigeria is to ignore MASSOB and stop pushing them, let them face those exploding bombs around them. The day they will push MASSOB to arms, they won't know what hit them. 1960s is not 2012. Today if you want armoured tanks, there will be thousands of suppliers lining up to give it to you even on credit. In the 60s, to get a one round gun, you might need a license from the United Nations. Let those with ears, hear. |
afrikanns: I am pityin u Ibos, you people have so soon forgotten the issue of biafran's day, you all youths have to consider the aged ibos, please reconsider this, it might be a suicidal attempt. You mean, hoisting a flag is suicidal? How does that work? |
ijaw citizen: a biafra republic without ijaw and niger delta lands is very welcomed by the ijaws. remember you have no access to the sea. goodluck to my igbo neighbours, we shall join you in being free soon.Come 2015, Goodluck Jonathan dream of presidency, HOPEFULLY will also be equally welcomed without the Igbo wonderful 99.9 percent vote turnout and 99.99 votes in favour of GEJ. And remember that access to the sea can do the vote magic come 2015. |
Duxe: The igbos (well most of them) are quite a brave n courageous people. I have seen them in action severally.Where did you get this idea of war that is chilling your spine? Well, I forgot that in Nigeria hoisting a flag is more daring, threatning and dangerous than planting and exploding bombs. Who would have thought that? |
good one really! i like my ibo brothers and I want biafra too. howeva, fair is fair - no one can eat his cake and have it otherwize, trouble. a way to achieve biafra is gradual not knee jerk stupidity that lead to declaration of "police action". first, let all ibos in other parts of the country begin a systematic and fast withdrawal out of their host communities in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Jos, Rivers, Cross R, Akwa I, etc back to iboland. then, snd a message to nigerian house of rep and senate of ibo's need to raise their own flag and I think it would be done. think about it, would you consider the request of a friend who sends his children to eat in your house, on your labors, shaite in your toilet, abuse you while benefitting from your goodwill and generpsity but then decides to declare his own things for himself only? that is injustice and being clever by half. so let us ibos do the right things the right way!
Good advise son! I wonder why Nigerians are still living in Britain after getting their independent from the Queen or for some reason, the Brits forgot this your pre-condition to Nigerians before 1st October 1960. |
I hope u watch the war going on in syria and u will know the implication of war.
I didn't realise that Syrians were fighting over a flag. Thanks for letting us know. |
engineerd: Time to finish what was started during the civil war! Total annihilation of the undesirables! spits in the direction of the east! They ought to burn with their flag! You forgot to say Amen! |
bonna4u: Hopeless touts! Instead of channelling your energies towards fighting that arsehole called T.A that has turned our Abia State into a pithole, you are here challenging the police for daring to stop you from hoisting flags. What will the average Abia citizen gain from your hopeless antipated acts? Nothing but chaos. It was you and your so-called Abia citizens that wasted your votes for your able T.A. So let the dead bury their dead and stop looking the wrong way. |
ebamma: if massob members dontIts a good idea then, that God delayed your huma existence and during the evil apartheid. Because if South Africans had followed your princely unsolicited advise, Mandela will still be Robin Island this morning cleaning his cell. The day you will equal Ojukwu's index finger, we will sort for you and your wisdom. Meanwhile, try keep it to yourself. |
geeez: They will soon hoist a white flag with their coward tails between their legsAnd I dare predict that you're already storing up vintage wine to celebrate the white flag, after which you will hoist which one again? |
free2ryhme: Ibo man wey like im life pass anythingYou have won a lottery then, because you seem to have met a different Igbo men you never knew existed after all these years. Terrific observation! |
ifihearam: igbos are jokersYou don't say. Just three words that you can manage? |
Olanlere11: Just ranting, tear Gas will make them scamper for safetyBased on your fear of tear gas, I will guess that you are not one of those that fought for this lopsided democracy? I take it too that you played it safe as one of Abacha's one million match members? |
Paul John: I'm surprised at the comparism too. I've been to all Western states and I've not come across any regional flag. They shouuldn't compare theirs with OPC. If OPC is also causing trouble, the police here would challenged them.I thought Alhaji Aregbesola and Osun state got one or Osun is not one of the western states you had been crossing? Or is it your chosen omission? |
Callotti: How can we stop you, when Okonjo-Iweala is using 'NIGERIAN' currency to feed y'awl? What is a race in your Einstein opinion? |
ULSHERLAN: MASSOB shouldn't compare itself with OPC cos their ideology differs a lot. OPC isn't creating or hoisting any flag which will or might potray a divided NIGERIACan you explains OPC's ideology? And then start your contrast. |
That must be some voices talking to you after your 6st bottle of Big Guinness. Soon you will wake up from you hang over and reality will dawn again. |
torkaka: are you two reading upside down? READ AGAIN THE BOLDED;Assuming you trusted this your point blank source to the kilt. You are suppose to reason for yourself and separate the wheat from the chaff. Or do you always believe everything you are told in life to be the truth? What was Sambo not convinced of? That the man did not put Geometric in blind trust or not? Since when does Sambo's personal conviction sets the tone govt policy of a govt that belongs to someone else? Does Sambo has the right or power to walk out a minister of the state, appointed by his boss in the first place? There are things when told, you don't need to be a genius to know that its a beer parlour talk, especially after the 7th bottle of whatever they are drinking . |
torkaka: and whats there not to believe? o i get it now, aboki man proves intergrity over okoro manThe same Aboki that presented Buhari/Ribadu to you and who did you give your vote last year? Suddenly they have integrity. All phoney story the poster had been pestering just because he doesn't like Jonathan, how does it make sense to you? I thought that Nnaji works for Jonathan and not your mister integrity Sambo? Since when do you fire someone that was appointed works for somebody else? Why can't you guys stick to what all of us read from the same source, which is: Nnaji resigned and his boss accepted it and thanked him for his services. Where do you guys get your secondhand stories from? |
Noiseless2: Look at them, jumping with joy that malam hell rufai aka ndu_chucks of nairaland, decided to say what even a 6yrs old can say,and his already warming his way into their hearts, tufiakwa! Malam hellish rufai and his gang are the ones sworn that they rather die than see people regain their lost common sense of reasoning. Who gives a f@ck what hell rufai/ndu_chucks and his many nairaland ids thinks, rubbish.Dont be like that bro, El Rufai in reality may not be the enemy you are making him out to be based on what you and I are told, as I take it that you never met him in person. Sometimes in life, your worst enemy could actually be your best friend if all human blind screen is removed, while your best friend is indeed your worst enemy. |
jmaine: Okupe came on the scene and suddenly Bakare and Elrufai went muteYou may eat your very own words tomorrow, when El Rufai or Bakare comes out with something you didn't want to hear about Jonathan and his govt. |
take dat: Dora resigned to join politics,Ezekwesili finished her term @ budget office,Ngozi was humiliated and she resigned,Bart was sacked.I see no integrityBut Whatever your chosen explanation as to their reasons, they did resigned. Didn't they? Its on record that Nigerians don't resign even if they are caught with their pants down. Again, Nigerian president told us that Barth Nnaji tendered his resignation and he accepted it and thanks him for his services to his government and you are telling us that he was sacked. Who sacked him? His boss that told us that he resigned or you? Shall we say now that you knew more than Jonathan regarding those he employed? Why not try once in a while to say thing the way they are, instead of allowing something else to push you around in a trance? |
kITA TITA: I DON'T AGREE WITH THE RESPECTED NASIR ON SOME OF HIS POSITIONS. I DON'T SEE ANY WRONGDOING ON BARTH NNAJI'S SIDE. NNAJI DISCLOSED HIS INTEREST IN THE COMPANIES BIDDIING FOR PHCN. HE HAD ALSO RESIGNED HIS DIRECTORSHIP IN THOSE COMPANIES PRIOR TO HIS APPOINTMENT. I DON'T SEE ANY CONFLICT OF INTEREST THERE. NASIR, ON THE OTHER HAND, APPROVED THE ALLOCATION OF PLOTS OF LAND TO HIS WIVES WHILE HE WAS MINISTER OF FCT. THAT'S CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND A BLOT ON NASIR'S DISTINGUISHED CARRER. NNAJI WAS FORCED OUT BECAUSE HE WAS PREVENTING THE FUEL AND GENERATOR IMPORTERS FROM BUSINESS AS USUAL.You wouldn't see anything wrong in what Nnaji did because the word conflict of interest of public servants are foreign to Nigeria. On the other hand there is nothing illegal from his company participating if he had resigned from the company board and appointed an independent person to handle his business once he is appointed a minister. But may influence the company from participating based purely on moral ground rather than legal. That is what Dick Cheney did with Halliburton, hence the company was able to secure billons worth of military contracts, while he was still serving as the vice president. An act that was totally and morally wrong but legally sound. The whole messy Nnaji thing shows how incompetent Jonathan/Sambo are, as a leaders, because Nnaji got this job based on his CV with his so called company. Jonathan should have spelt out to him what he expected him to do with regard to Nnaji owing a successful energy company before joining his government. But it seems now that they didn't. |
You are certainly not an epitome of sharpness of mind or brilliance and I don’t have time to train you here. It suffices to say that there is no ambiguity in the fact that Nnaji was using his company as a proxy to buy shares on behalf of the President (GEJ) in Afam power station through the privatization process.
Sorry Sir, where exactly did you get this information above from? Is it from the same Nnaji's statement we all read or have you got hold of what non of us has? It doesn't make any sense. |
Elueme: Now it is becoming obvious that this malam has realized how disgusting he appears before Nigerians and he's trying to be civil.. Well, it is never too late to repent of your evil... But it will take a very longtime of being reasonable and PR to launder his self battered image... However, GEJ has an open arm and a very forgiving heart and the last time I checked the umbrella was still wide enough to accommodate even deviants like him... The earlier the betterYou guys makes it sound as if the word "MALAM" is a belittling word. Is it not the same as being addressed as Mazi, Otunba, Mr etc? |
kumbalo: mallam Hel-rufai, that hasn't changed anything of my perception of you. Stop looking for cheap publicity. U are irrelevant.I think he had been relevant in the past unbeknown to you. Its just that he wasn't saying what you wanted to hear or tingle your ears. |
Mallam El-Rufai, missed the involvement of Mr. President in this scandal, like most people. He missed the following, buried in published reports: The red text above must be the real reason why Nnaji left his position abruptly. The President himself was going to benefit from the deal because Nnaji's company was buying shares for the President. When that fact was exposed, Nnaji had to be sacrifised, if not GEJ himself would have been in big soup. Bunch of Barawos. These people act as if there are no real people behind blind trusts, thieves hiding behind proxies.
I have to disagree with you, I think you are the one that actually got what was said wrong. I believe that Nnaji said that the president told him that people had already saying that his (Nnaji) associated company bid was a proxy for him (GEJ). So because of this statement, Nnaji decided to quit to avoid any negative rumours based on the this assumption not to stick a mud on his boss. You guys should always be objective in your assessment of issue and not to colour it with you personal feelings and bias. There is nothing wrong to say this the way they are, even if it complements your worst enemy. Many are singing praise of El Rufai here now, for the simple reason that he did not criticise Jonathan. So their past record of dislike of him is purely based on critic on Jonathan and nothing else, but a good guy when he doesn't. That is simply a poor judgment. What this shows is that, its possible that the guy has not personal issue with GEJ, but genuinely and simply do not share GEJ method of governance and policies. And as a member of the opposition party, he owe it to you lot to voice those things out. |
Akshow: Hmmm.... Igbos are not the victim here as some people here want us to believe. The yoruba's are not any better. The question is who is the lesser evil... Me think yorubas. And just you put your keyboard down, so will another Igbo peep submits his own verdict that his own nation is the lesser of the two evils and that made two of you both protectionists. So it goes in circles |
Desola: which she does but she is able to rebut that claim by saying that Enugu is equally a federal government international airport and in order to boost all aspects of the country's air traffic sector, it is only right to ask these carriers to consider flying to Enugu(although this is a veiled economic duress being exerted by her and geared toward diverting revenue to her side of the country). However, descerning minds can read through this for what it really is.I think you are very very talented indeed! How you always manage to turn every single story, thread to wear a tribal suit is nothing short of a miracle. I duff my hat for you honestly! What is this Jonasatan of yours? Was it meant to be funny or anguish? |
OAM4J: I think he is referring to directive of the minister for the airlines to consider Enugu instead of Abuja. So the Mallam think she has an ethnic agenda since the minister is from South East. When the Younde airport was upgraded to take in any sized airline in 1991, most of the airlines refused to go there but preferred Duoala airport where the bulk of their clientele (Duoala Igbo business community) is based. The Biya's govt gave them a choice to patronise Younde along with Douala or pack your bags. They have no choice than to go to Younde too. |
dayokanu: ^^ So can you inform us why that scumbag called Ojuku fled killing 2 children in the process?Maybe the same reason Abiola fled in 1993 to the U.K, only to come back and get HIMSELF snuffed. I thought many of you hated tribal bashing in another thread? ![]() |
afam4eva: Nobody creates a country to see who will suffer the most. If that's your reason for wanting your own country then it's unfortunate.Unfortunately, that is the real reasons most Nigerian tribalist wanted the split for: who will suffer the most and not who may be the most successful, so that others can look at them and ask their own mis-rulers some hard boiled questions on why they can't have what others are having. And that is the mindset of a real Nigerian, very sadistic. Their joy is derived through the misery, calamity that befalls another group and that makes their day. That is the reason the same people outside Yoruba that voted for Abiola could not bring themselves to defend their stolen mandate just because they saw it or made it to become a Yoruba problem and the anguish its causing the Yorubas . And Yorubas themselves took it as a personalised tragedy and even pushing people away that wants to be involved. That is the real Nigeria. |
