miiraaj: Some people think splitting the country is as easy as typing on your keyboard. Whether we split or not,the task ahead of everyone of us is to clear corruption out of our system. Ethnicity and Religion are the basic weapons our leaders use on us in order to achieve their selfish desire. Check out most cases of corruption, you will see those involved are from different part of the country but they put sentiment aside and loot whatever is available to them. The Soviets emerging 15 republics didn't call it fantasy, neither did they fire a gun or do you think they exist in jupiter planet? The Czech and Slovakia are living side by side after splitting up in peace, may be you should ask them if its fantasy. In the history of modern nation hood or even empires, no cosmetic nation like Nigeria had ever last forever. People like you will one day be caught very much unaware with the spontaneous disintegration of Nigeria as one nation. Using fear of death, violence and bloodshed to keep Nigeria is no longer working, when they, on a daily basis face the same death, violence and bloodshed. |
This is what my grandmother use to describe as the Crab that swim the ocean only to die in an old lady's little cooking pot with little water. The irony of life-he becomes formers for enjoying the notoriety of killing others with gun and now someone has kill him with the same gun. Paradox-the ugliness of vanity. |
From day one, Jonathan and his intellectual poo cleaner Abati and others has resorted to only-you are worse than me as their only line of defence against anything thrown at them. I had maintained my prediction that as long as this contraption of a nation continues, that Jonathan may become the first Nigeria ruler to be openly convicted for corruption and send to jail. Not because he is worse than those before him or those that will come after him, but only because he is not smart and made it worse by surrounding himself with nonentity p.h.d holders like himself in Abati, a motor park bully called Okupe and a Jerry Gana incarnate called Maku. |
confusion247: In Nigeria today things you see will make you be rest assured that evil will remain with us for a long time. Why is Kayode not asking IBB to come and account for 12 billion dollars. Why is Kayode not asking OBJ to come and account for 16 billion dollars he spent for us to have darkness. Today in Nigeria what we have is politics of tribe and ethnicity. So because he didn't call every Nigerian rogue to come and account, therefore the one he called to account, should be brush off under the carpet? I don't know how some of you reason. Because the robbers that rob the bank down the road had not yet been caught, let set the one that stole your car we had caught free until the time the robbers are caught? This is Nigeria you lot expect to work? Always busy comparing criminals and they are all busy getting away with it. Isn't Jonathan supposed to be the fresh air against the usual foul odour you are use to but you are now trying to tell us whose foul odour is worse instead of the promised fresh air? |
airmark: @Ogugua, DD is a legend, you gotta like him.He is no legend of mine. Even at this stage of his career and age he is still diving. How he managed to con the referee to earn the free kick that resulted in their goal. I don't think you will still be calling him a legend had that goal had, had impact on the outcome. |
You don't need to be the best to achieve the best, On paper or man against man ability, the Ivorians should win all day. This is something Nigerian rulers should always take on board, you don't need to be a P.H.D holder to be a good and effective president, senator, governor, minister etc. |
Maxymilliano: People are called upon to serve; they do so with humility and great commitment, and when it is all over, they move on to other things. The quantity surveyor returns to his or her quantity surveying or some other decent work; the lawyer to his or her wig and gown; the university teacher, to the classroom, glad to have been found worthy of national service. When and where necessary, as private citizens they are entitled to use the benefit of this experience to contribute to national development, they speak up on matters of public importance not as a full-time job as is the case in Nigeria currently.I take it based on this sermon from Pope Abati, that after his current celebrity fraternity that he will be going back to look for job as a journalist? One thing he forgot was that, he also use to call his current employer, yesterday's man. |
*speechless* that's not news, we don hear since. Becks is flamboyant and that's the only place he would wanna go cuz of Paris life. I bet he is more interested in endorsement and deals,so his wages don't mean NADA!
You are right. I don't know why Beckham and his PR machine still fools many people. He is giving his wages to charity? One day we will hear the real story as Becks and his money grabbing entourage never do anything for nothing. After his 5 months in Paris, next destination will be China. Beckham and publicity is like Charlie Sheen and coke. |
onatisi: what has he done wrong ?i dont think it is a sin to want to leave a clubWhen your are not a free agent, its a sin prostituting your talent at the car park of another club before a live television camera. Just read this link: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/peter-odemwingie-thinks-hes-joining-1567982 |
This is the reason they said that footballing brain is different from normal brilliant brain. If not, how can this guy be so gullible to act out the whole humiliating drama today before the whole world, right in front of live television feed? How can can you drove all the way from West Midland to London and drive to the gate of QPR when your club had told you in an uncertain terms that you are not up for sale? Even while in London, why not check into a hotel and wait for a call? Why drive to QPR gate, praising QPR and singing praise of Harry Redknapp while you are still contracted to West Brom, have not sign anything dot with QPR and you are stil a property of your current club? Few minutes later you ran to the social media ranting, even calling QPR fight for survival a mission impossible. You have poo poo on your bed at West Brom, you have offended even most QPR fans by calling their fight to survive, impossible, then what on earth were you coming to do if you thinks its mission impossible,? some were now asking. How will you return to West Brom dressing room tomorrow to look at your team mate in the face, with your Thursday's soap opera? How will you face West Brom fans at Hawthorne if you will ever wear their shirt again? If QPR really value you and are desperate to sign you, then stay home and let them come and fetch you, let them get a jet or copter to come and get you just as Arsenal fly in Monreal from Malaga. Why make a fool of your self, even when you are a regular at West Brom at the age of 31? Sometimes, I wonder what sort of advisers this guys got? Have they got a family? Now is a bout of joke on the social media. You can now see how this guy could be like inside the super Eagle camp, and I was one of those criticising Keshi for dropping him from the AFCON teram. I know better now. Egomaniac is a wonderful thing that always end in tears and humiliation. |
Assembly of people that has never had any real jobs in their lives ever or had never did any for a very long time that they can remember. They are looking after number one. Themselves and their immediate families. |
Ikengawo: BUT the government isn't the end all be all of business. Innoson is unknown outside of Anambra and the internet.Very good points made |
Ikengawo: BUT the government isn't the end all be all of business. Innoson is unknown outside of Anambra and the internet. |
Nightshift: The company must not rely on government patronage alone. A smart marketing strategy with juicy offers(e.g.longer financing period) to private users must be adopted . Hoping mainly for government patronage nearly killed ANAMCO.Its not patronage, can you imagine French govtal agencies using Toyota instead French made cars like Renault, Citreon? Or their president riding in BMW? Can't Jonathan use one of this company cars as his official vehicle, including abroad, like in Switzerland last week. Can you imagine the amount of PR it will give to the company and Nigeria as a nation? They will prefer the imported one where they will like inflate the price and so mago-mago with custom clearance. Tell me any world leader that use auto that wasn't made in his country if that country makes auto? |
It makes sense that Madrid will only score through set pieces or counter from the first whistle. With the quality in their team, they can nick it and Barca will behead Pedro that miss. Barcelona need a goalie though. This one is as bad as Valdez too.lol |
Why Pedro is ahead of Villa or Tello I don't know. He always need 10 chances to score a goal. Being subbed not a surprise. |
Watching that action on the 63rd min, its like that song: don't we all wish our team play like Barcelona? Don't you? Amazing one touch-two touch football! |
Waoh! Ref! bad call, Messi was well onside. |
coolkris: Wonderful goal by fabregasI thought he was off side at first glance but he was on. Now the real game begin. Madrid bus driver should find the key now and unpack their bus. |
Andre Santos! Is this guy really a Brazilian? lol |
What is it that is really special about Jose? This his team is very predictable. Get the ball and run as fast as you can into opponent half. |
What a tackle! any pin miss timing from Alves, its a penalty. |
Funny, my money is on Real to score, despite Barcelona dominating possession. Goal wins games unfortunately. |
Matches involving Barca this days is not entertaining anymore, not that its their fault, because what teams does this days playing Barcelona is to put 11 men behind the ball and dashes a 100 metre race in a counter each time they manage to win possession. Even Real Madrid at home with the most expensive assembled team on the planet doing it too. Haba! |
tampa1871: You must be a fraudster, kidnapper or a criminal to criticize why these heartless animals are being kept in custody. Any individual who violates other people's rights like that is inviting others to violate theirs. The burden of proof is on them, let them proof their innocence and they will go free. They have murdered sleep, they will never rest. They deserve no mercy. How did you come to the conclusion that they are heartless? because you saw a picture and you were told that the image in the picture committed a crime, but you didn't ask if they have been tried, evidence presented and were found guilty? But you just put one and one together and it make four for you? It could be you tomorrow, it could be anybody. In fact most Nigerians has little concept of rule of law. Its the biggest breach of human right for anybody outside the court of law to declare a person a criminal without trial. It will never happen in a real democratic environment. |
apala911: you had better bury your head in shame for this thoughtless submission of yours.....kudos to the nigeria's security for a well done job.....Nairalanders and Nigerians at large should beware of people like dis poster....he might likely be one of them...MCTHEWWWWWIts totally wrong for Nigeria and their security forces with the look the other way judiciary to continue parading people that are not yet found guilty of any crime before the world. If you said you're practicing democracy, its not just a about voting and electing rulers but there are certain things you cannot do in a democracy and that includes this parading of the accused. You can parade them after they are tried and found guilty, not before they are even charged. In a real democracy, a judge might set these guys free based on such a parade because they will never have a fair trial or they had already had one through the media and public opinion. If any of this people is to be innocent and discharged by the court, you don't often get the same police to parade the person and show the world that the person was found not guilty. This is a country that has more so-called senior advocate of law that I can remember and yet ,they kept mute with this tradition set up by the military and kept it going in their so-called democracy. I am not saying that these men did not commit any crime, but the fact is that they have been presented as being guilty even before they are tried by the law court. |
Over to you Maku. This is not a play ground bullying tactic of calling name to deflect the real issues front the front burner. Since you believe that Mrs Ezekwesili should be judged by her ten months stay in the education ministry, but everyday you kept reminding us that 3 years of your boss at the helm is too little to measure anything. |
Eko Ile: And your irrelevant rubbish changed the fact that he was a failed leader. I really was not expecting that lazy thinking and analogy from you, you've been spending too much time hanging around NL Dullards. Its seems you are allergic to making your opinion known without resorting to calling names even when its not necessary, because I have no idea what you are talking about on a failed leader. I never mentioned any failed leader of sort or are you mistaken me for some one else? Someone can't be a dullard or lazy just because their opinion varies from yours. |
Tolexander: no human society is created to succeed due to many individual differences, even twins seldom get a disagreement but understanding is the solution.Yes, as long as Somalia is not blaming Sudan for its self inflicted woes no problem. Which is what is a daily way of life in Nigeria. After all these years, all this experiences, past and present, some with their head well screwed, still thinks that Nigeria will ever make progress a one nation ruled from one source? Its like telling the Italian, the British, the French that their capital is now in Berlin and a German is their calling all the shots, how will that work? Even the British are very itchy with an economic union, let alone been structured like Nigeria, a one country, whose components has little or nothing in common and love to hate each other. No matter how you patched up a broken egg, its waste of time, energy, when every facet of Nigeria still derives some sort of sadistic kicks from the agony or even misfortune of others. No house divided itself has ever stand. Nigerias hate each other in 2013 than they did in 2012 and its it will be so in 2014. |
The point is that Maku/Abati/Okupe will slander even Jesus, right? El-Rufai isn't disrespecting Jesus or claiming that Jesus did X. Or am I entirely misreading this tweet?
So you are new in Nairaland? So, you don't know that people just read the headline, once they see a name or word they already had a preconceived prejudice about, they just jump in and start making comments, without first reading the issue, let alone analysing it in its context? |
Demdem: So because yorubas once goofed, its time for the igbos also to make their silly decision. What about learning of others mistake. Me think they are just being stupid. But the Yoruba are not carrying themselves as those that goofed but rather than as if nothing happened and they are the wise men of the east. If they started by saying or humbly stating how they goofed and do not want Igbos to do the same, that will be different all together. You can't sh*t on yourself, then turn around to sound sanctimonious to other befall by the same faith just because time has taken care of what happened to you. That is the point I am trying to make. I am not defending my people, but the last people that should be preaching to them about voting without tribal sentiment will be Yorubas, considering what they did in 2003 with OBJ. Its not nice calling anyone silly over an issue you had the history of doing exactly the same not long ago. |
dayokanu: Abiola was the senior partner with Kingibe being his running mates.Whose partner was field marshal Oladipo Diya? Or Chief Obafemi Awolowo with Gowon, OBJ and Murtala? I try not to allow tribal lean to obscur my sense of reasoning. |
