The Camry is targeted as a mid class family sedan or mid sized fleet sedan.
While the 508 is targeted as a full sized executive sedan or large family sedan. It's the premium flagship product for Peugeot.
It ranks with Mercedes Benz, Lexus LS500, A8, etc ...more like E Class, A6, BMW 5 series etc..No Peugeot offering competes with S Class, 7 Series, A8, Lexus LS etc.. |

SouthSouth1914: GLOBAL warming? Ozone depletion? Nuclear bombs? Ballistic missiles? Are these not inventions of man? The end will justify the beginning.. These are threats no doubt but humans are dealing with them. The future is low carbon. Mining crude oil would cease to be profitable in about 30 years, according to global oil experts so we may not even need direct legislation to stop the burning of fossil fuels. Nuclear bombs and missiles have been our reality for decades. Yes they could get into wrong hands. There are always balance of threas that would keep the mad people in check. If the world can stop Hitler, they can deal with the worst form of human species..Yes there are more sophisticated weapons today than Hitler's time, but so are there more sophisticated defences. The worst we could see is large scale destruction, not total annihilation.. |

This will be the summation of chaos! You honestly think humans, as smart as they've proved so far, would yield completely to machines and robots? Think again. Decentdave: even the 2008 model do have ball joint issue. Have heard one that pulled off recently. It seems people are confused with the year Honda solved the ball joint issue. Some will say from 2008, while some will say from 2010. I really need to know the actual year Hearing about a 2008 Accord whose tires pulled off doesn't prove they have a ball joint problem. I've actually SEEN several Toyota Camry 2007 to 2011 suffer the same fate, yet I've not seen any claim that they have a ball joint problem.. The key point is the regularity of such failures...I dare add, it's not a common occurrence in Accords from 2008. I, for one have used the 2012 for a year..there's no issues whatsoever with the ball or CV joint..not even the common 'shaft pop' during steep steering ..everything still feels sharp and solid..and oh yes, it was bought Nigerian used.. |

There are different classes within the midsize segment..Your argument can be stretched to mean Mazda 6, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 etc are competing with E Class, BMW 5 series, etc..That, to me is some stretch..I concede the former vehicles have grown in size over the years but they are not regarded as competing in the class of E class and 5 series yet.. |
Car Talk › Re: Nissan Altima 2015 Is It A Good Car by fabienjoe: 6:38pm On Aug 17, 2021 |
nurey: Altima and maxima are mid size vehicles on classification
E class is mid size executive vehicle
C class is compact executive Altima is never competing with E class. Maxima is a bigger car than Altima. And yes Maxima is in the sane class as E Class. |

nurey: Parts expensive abi okay, compare price of
2015 Camry engine and 2015 Benz E class engine with the Altima engine. Then start comparing other replaceable parts like shocks, brake pads, rotors etc
And for your information the CVT in this one is reliable with no issues as long as he replaced with the right oil. How on Earth did Benz E Class enter the equation? The Benz is a bigger car..You should actually be comparing Altima with a C Class..Even then it's a lot of compromise.. |

Alba3: They are not the same. Civic is in class of Corolla; Accord is comparable with Camry, while CR-V could be compared with a 4-plug Highlander. However, CR-V shares same platform with Civic (Particularly from 07/08, no leg pulling) but they are not the same... not in size or fuel consumption, Civic is a compact car while CR-V is a crossover SUV. CR-V actually compares with RAV 4 not Highlander.. |
Car Talk › Re: Advise Needed Urgently! by fabienjoe: 9:38pm On Aug 16, 2021 |
They are vehicles for different purposes so there shouldn't really be a choice between them. It depends largely on where you live and driving habits. Living in an area with bad roads means an SUV would serve you better. If you're more interested in leisurely driving, manouvre and good handling, the ES would likely be your choice. It really depends on your needs.. |

How is the fuel economy
I am also considering honda but Civic The fuel consumption is not going to tear your pocket but you need to know it is not a Corolla. Mine is 2.4L A Civic should be much more economical... I've not taken my time to put a figure on the consumption but I would estimate 9 to 12L per 100km...I almost always drive with air conditioner.. |

diportivo: this is the first time I will read that demand is why something is cheap
as in,its in demand...people want them, and that's why they are cheap
but the 1.6l engine that nobody wants, that nobody wants to buy o,is the expensive one
common sense isn't common
they are made for the African market, but u need to order it from korean
many don dey roam But the reason is simple - African market is warped by poverty..The one with high demand is cheaper because it's the variant used in the US and therefore used ones are available. Businessmen are willing to invest because there's a ready market for it. Don't forget many are bought used from the US. .Higher supply, more availability, relatively cheaper prices....The African variant is sold in very low numbers since many Africans can't afford brand new cars.. low sales means cheap used parts are unavailable..furthermore the demand is low since only few were bought ..no incentive for businessmen to bring them in- scarcity and high price result..Poverty screws things up in ways unknown to Economics...which is why economic theories don't work in Africa.. |
Autos › Re: Avoid 20w50 Oil.. 2003 Honda Civic Update by fabienjoe: 9:07pm On Dec 23, 2020 |
dru23: But you use 20w50 for your 2016 camry now , when the manual states 0w20.. I stated that to you , your reply was u don't need to read any manual etc ......but you are willing to read manual for your 2020 Tucson Abi....
If you are willing to follow manufacturers advice on ur tucson ,why not do the same on ur camry ?
Oga, one thing I need to point to you ..not all cars are built the same ,not all engine are built the same.. Some cars are more sensitive than others etc .. Some engines last better than others and built even better... so you can't treat all cars the same etc .......
Example.....when Infinity fx45 came out , people were going crazy etc people loved the car etc .. After sometimes people were complaining that car breaks maintenance is high etc.. You can't abuse those cars like you do other cars like Toyota.... People can't maintain cars. Same with Acura cars ,you can't abuse them anyhow..
Honda civic transmission needs special ATF made ,anything else will damage the transmission ,it might not be immediately ,but overtime it will get damage.....
Bottom line, owners should always read car manual especially when it comes to engine and transmission, other parts of the car you might be able to comprise a bit .......
Just because 2021 car uses 20w50 ,does not mean all cars will use the samething....let's read to understand But to be honest, the way you people demonize this 20W 50, one would think it won't be anywhere near any modern car....But here it is, recommended for a 2020 model car. When people try to suggest that the temperature under which a car operates may have something to do with the choice of engine oil, they are scoffed at..But clearly many car manuals recommend some flexibility on the choice of engine oil based on the temperature of the region where the cars are used. I read some car forums where people driving cars in the US for which 0W 20 was recommended, changed to 10W 30 during summer months..20W 50 is certainly not as bad as being painted. Many people have used these oils here on their 'modern cars' for upwards of 8 years without any problems.. It certainly won't be good for cars in cold regions but it's not as bad being painted in warmer parts of the world like Nigeria.. |

12 passengers squeezed into a Golf? It can only happen in the north. when Southerners complain about the heavy presence of security agents in their region, they should also remember that there is a positive side of the coin. It prevents a lot of mishaps..Human beings sitting in the booth of cars and others squeezing in elsewhere in large numbers is a common sight in northern Nigeria. The security agents are scared because matters could very easily get out of hand while trying to stop them..carnage like this one tells us that laws are actually made for our own good. People should not take pleasure in flouting the rules..So sad these avoidable deaths of very young people with their lives ahead of them should happen..Nigeria must run as a proper country to avoid these ugly, heartbreaking news that very regularly assault our humanity.. |

GTkester: All hail the mighty southern Nigerians! All hail the almighty Igbos!!
Abeg, I wan drop this appeal to Ndigbo: as we can see we are winning the media war back to back, but we must never allow the new found bromance and unity we have developed with Yorubas to be torned apart by Yoruba Muslims Miscreants (YMM). It pains the almajiri north and their Yoruba servants that there's a unified south, which is no longer ready to act as fodders for their selfish agenda. This generation with unlimited access to the internet has achieved the unachievable, and therefore we must do everything to safeguard this win.
Therefore, going forward we must drop every form of media attacks targeted against ndi YORUBA. Henceforth, we should only target the Yoruba Muslims and hit them really hard. Also we must extend this hand of unity to the middle belters and make them come into our fold. Our agenda is to use our inestimable media power to drive a consensus that is devoid of the senseless almajiri cattle herders who are not up to anything good. However, when we notice that an almajiri is considerate enough and is ready to break ranks with his/her people, we must welcome such person into our fold!
Also, henceforth we must develop a propaganda soundbite in order to use it to drive our goals. Just for example, it is us that alerted the world of Fulani herders terrorism acts in Nigeria. So, it isn't out of place to claim that we coined the word Fulani herdsmen. And this is so because whenever there is a clash between the herders and farmers, while the govt tries everything to paint the herders and farmers as two opposing parties, it is us that will expose the truth, and that what is going on is actually a genocidal agenda of the fulans. Thankfully, today the whole world is on our side as regards the Fulani genocidal intent. With this we have also saved the middle belt.
Finally, we should going forward regard the middle-belters as the progressives, while we talk kindly of the Yorubas who are not Muslims. Every of our negative comments should be reserved for those people who drive cattle from place to place and the Yoruba Muslims. We should understand that this war just got started and we must do everything to win it. The good news is that we are already on the winning side. At least for now, we have succeeded in exposing Buharis ineptitude and evil mindedness before the world.
We must continue!
All hail the blessed south! I am Igbo. Don't target anyone - Yoruba, Hausa, Itsekiri, Tiv, Christian, Muslim etc....So long as you still intend to target someone based solely on their ethnic or religious affiliations, you're part of the problem. Deal with those mismanaging the country. They're our common enemy... |
