Those telling you leave UK. have they been there before is it not what they heard they judging by? and the person saying south africa haha imagine someone leaving UK for SA.

Your Opinion doesn't make it to be true cuz as for me i dont expect anyone advising someone else to go to SA considering the recent Xenophobia from there

To Me UK is still your best Option and Dublin precisly. don't mind them. UK will be needing lots of helping hand cuz of their recent brexit. and dublin there are hustlers there. we know quite well naija is not an option but southy is off the table as for other countries they mention they are core racist country

My own opinion too cuz i've lived outside Nigeria in a few countries so with my little experience and people i know too i still stand on what i said.
Not everyone is fit to advise on this subject and you've actually shown how little you know..UK is still his best option especially Dublinhuh Hmm! Nairaland..if I may ask, in what part of the UK is Dublin? Truth is, UK is a nasty place for most Nigerian immigrants. You pay prohibitively expensive school fees and you get no reward in terms of job or even visa..They expect you to fly right back to your country. Nothing said about the UK in the comments I have read is out of place. By the way, Dublin is in Ireland..a independent country from the UK. Northern Ireland is still in the UK though, with it's capital in Belfast..Things may however improve in the UK when Brexit is actualized..But for now, it's a no no..

What do you know about the UK? You are the type that work only with calculators - £1000 to Naira! If I work in 4 places and earn £10/hr, bla bla bla.. Rubbish! UK is toast. Very educated Nigerians are stuck there in Toilet Cleaning, wiping old people's bum, Security Guarding and other demeaning, horrendous jobs..These are people with UK Masters and PhD's..No job for them. They can't even conveniently pay their bills, never mind save. Most are neck deep in credit card and sundry debts..There are few success stories but the odds of falling into the former category are far higher..Bad as Nigeria currently is, most Nigerians have a much higher chance of success and decent life here than in the UK..
RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Asked Me To Tell My Mum To Remarry & I Have Lost Confidence In Her by fabienjoe: 11:26pm On Jul 04, 2020
Mvici:
people's tradition sometimes matters, am just talking about after 30yrs in marriage, already have a child....what next will she be looking for when her child can still give her ground children, people's body and soul are different anyway especially when the man she marry was the only person that has gone down with her and maybe tradition and religion and what people will say
Stop justifying your silly position. Marital vows end the moment one party in the marriage passes on. Even if the marriage lasted for 50 years, your mum owes nothing to your dead dad. In fact for her own mental and physical wellbeing, he needs another man in her life. She's safer going through her later years with a caring partner next to her. To imagine she's past happiness and companionship at 52? SMH! ...and you expect whoever you get married to to remain single if you happen to die before her? Is there a religion or cult that told you it makes any difference to a dead man how his wife lives after his passing? There are really some otherwise taboo subjects that may need to be discussed before marriage. If anyone calls this a culture or tradition, I don't expect my sister or even friend to be enmeshed in it. Life is for the living, not the dead. By the way, on the evidence of your girlfriend's suggestion, she's an honest, civilized, caring, practical and reasonable woman, perhaps more than you deserve, given your own position on the subject.

Believe whatever you want but know it very well that no criminal would ever work for a security organization abroad, even if his name is hushpuppy..You need to understand how systems work abroad and how crime is viewed...You may want to Google CRB, $tandard Disclosure, Enhanced Disclosure etc...you may begin to have an idea..
Car TalkRe: Is Benz E350 Wise For A First Time Driver? by fabienjoe: 8:48am On Jun 28, 2020
Carchoice:
dont mind those people. They want to continue living in the past while the future is looking at them. Anyone that has money to buy Benz should have sense as well. I own E350 2015. I can never use Toyota and the likes again. If everywhere gets too flooded, I open my Uber app and leave my baby resting at home, parked on a very high ground grin
What's the issue here? The OP asked for advice and people are giving the best way they know. People drive E350 in the areas and the OP was aware before asking the question so he is looking for possible problems and people are responding. There could be problems current owners are managing that he may not be able to cope with. Flood is always a real issue in the area mentioned. He may decide he may manage the flood problem but it's irresponsible to tell the OP especially seeing as he's a first timer, that that won't be a problem, simply because people that may have multiple cars and are probably vastly experienced in car ownership are driving same cars in the neighbourhood.

...When he was a Senate leader at the 8th assembly, he never clamoured or support the motion for the reduction of the "luxury wages" then, the sugar was so sweet in his mouth and he finds it difficult to spit it out.

When they're being addressed as "Former" that's when they start behaving as if they very close to the masses, but when they're addressed as "Current" they're officially blind to anything that would stop them from having a slice of the cake.
Leave the messenger. Deal with the message. I have always thought in this direction. In fact prior to 2015, I could swear that Buhari was the only man with the courage and conviction to go to the people in a referendum on this issue. The Buhari we got was actually not the Buhari we were sold (no suggestion we're dealing with a body double, for the avoidance of doubt). We need a courageous leader to conduct a referendum on this. The power of the people should be superior to that of the National Assembly..The way Nigeria is being governed certainly has to change. It's unsustainable..

I completely agree with you. That guy is a slave driver, temperamental and always on edge. Good managers always have a human side. People need to be comfortable next to you before you can bring the best out of them. With all Mourinho's sauciness and mind games, he praises most of his players and shields them from undue scrutiny. That's good man management. Kean thinks he can squeeze performance out of players by abrasiveness, threats and intimidation..It hasn't worked for him anywhere. He can make do with being a pundit, at least, he understands the game..

This man is fast beating GEJ in cluelessness and incompetence.
Brother, that makes the two of us..Jonathan was barely hanging on, overwhelmed and paranoid. We knew things needed to change. APC came with the message and Buhari was dressed as the messiah..We fell for it..All the talk about his rustiness, poor intellect, clannishness and nepotism were ignored. The claim of his uprightness and incorruptibility sounded louder...Sadly, 5 years after, he has proved his naysayers right and leaving his admirers with red faces..The question is, where do we go from here? But there's a positive in the miasma..No one is ever going to present any of these expired men as Nigeria's messiah anymore. They enjoyed the best of the country - free and quality education, functional infrastructure, good welfare but ended up destroying it for the younger generation..Trouble is, the younger ones are still killing and hating themselves over these white collar, conscienceless bandits..

Car TalkRe: I Am Upset by fabienjoe: 2:23pm On Jun 16, 2020
It has to be added, however that some of the cars are written off abroad, not necessarily because they cannot be restored to good standard, but because the cost of doing so could be close to, or even higher than, that of a car in the same state it is being resotored to but without the bad history. So why not just go and buy one without the damage rather than spending more to restore a damaged one? In fact Nigerians are actually paying over the odds for these damaged cars. Without demand from Africa, especially Nigeria, they would be worth a lot less. Nigerians buy them because the cost of fixing them here is much lower and restoring them in Nigeria would still mean significant savings over a clean title. But then, this is Nigeria where many won't bother with diligent restoration..
Car TalkRe: Which Car Should I Buy Between Highlander 2005 And Rx 330 2005 by fabienjoe: 2:05pm On Jun 16, 2020

I have owned a highlander 4 cylinder for 4 years and an RX330 for 6.5years.

I will never buy any 4 cylinder SUV. It's like a curse trying to accelerate. Very lethargic power. Also, know that the 4 cylinder engines of highlander are prone to sludge and stripped head bolt failures.

Bro, go RX330 or go home!
I've never driven one but I've always been curious about the i4 Highlander. I mean how much power are they ever going to squeeze out of that small engine to give that mass anything close to decent performance? To me, i4 SUVs shouldn't be happening..
Car TalkRe: Lexus Should Not Be Regarded As A Prestigious Brand by fabienjoe: 1:12pm On Jun 16, 2020
Luxury is not necessarily about technical data. It's about what the product offers. It's holistic, looking at the final product rather than the sum of it's parts. I bet 99% of luxury car buyers have no idea about these technical details the OP reeled out, and wouldn't care less. They are only concerned about what their Lexus does for them versus what others do. That is what informs brand perception.

It's certainly not advisable but most of the comments here seem to say the couple MUST have an SS child. That is not correct. Every pregnancy has 25% chance of an SS child. Many have gone down the route without any SS child. Still not advised but the risk should be put in adequate context..

olaleks007:
When I say this Highlander consumes less fuel (Tested and Trusted), lemme give u my experience

I needed to quickly see someone at Abeokuta from Lagos but I want to have a quick stopover at Oju Ore sango for a quick biz. I got to a filling station around fagba and bought N4k fuel (my fuel is already empty at that time).

Almost at Alakuko...there was heavy traffic to toll gate.. I made a U-turn back to alternative road (old otta road) the traffic there was not much so I scape through. From Oju Ore to Abeokuta (small small traffic till I got to Abeokuta)

I finished what I’m doing and came back through Shagamu instead of Sango because of the road. I encountered another traffic at long bridge which take me like 30-35mins to Berger.

Then I proceeded to orile iganmu after Surulere to drop some stuff and back to Fagba iju road. (U can imagine traffic going and coming from Berger to orile iganmu and back to fagba)

I can boldly tell you I still have quarter fuel on this car which I also use the next day to go back to my office (carlot)

Throughout this journey, I never off my AC

It’s Tested and Trusted
100%

So I know what I’m saying.

Can corolla do pass like this?
Brother, sell your car that looks clean by the way..Stop comparing the fuel economy of a Highlander with that of a Corolla. It won't do any good to your business. People may begin to wonder what else you may knowingly or unknowingly not telling the whole truth about. This is a 2.4 little engine hauling a much heavier vehicle than Toyota Corolla. Corollas range from 1.3 to 2.4 little engines..even the 2.4 litre engine Corolla weigh a lot less than the Highlander so should consume a lot less fuel. No one markets SUV's on fuel economy..

I'm not in any way suggesting anything is wrong with the car. Its not bad but it's useless in Nigeria. The real way to make some serious income as a mechanic is by fixing high end luxury cars and it's not easy to get such customers. You can go and change a Mercedes s class brake pad and collect 100k but how many s class dey for naija. It's just like advising someone to learn plumbing. It's a high paying skill in the west but a really useless skill to have in Nigeria.

As Nigeria is going, it's best to acquire skills that can allow you work remotely and easily relocate if need be.
You sound like when one just relocates from Nigeria, all his problems are solved? On the contrary there are better opportunities here for entreprenuership than the civilized world. Abroad, you're competing with established mega companies with nearly infinite capacity. Getting a job with them is not even easy, except you're extremely good, and every word in 'extremely good' counts..They would always prefer their own citizens simply because their own people who are their customers prefer them..Think about Agriculture. It's an untapped goldmine here with loads of government support. Automobile mechanics is equally a good skill. There is still a big gap in the market for that. Many people with high end cars struggle to find reliable mechanics This is true for virtually every Nigerian major town or.city..Many mechanics have no requisite skills..the good ones are full of attitude. Learn the trade well and run a good customer service package. The sky is your limit..

It has exposed so many inadequacies in religion, science/ technology and humanity.
It only exposed inadequacies in ABUSE of religion. Christ came primarily for salvation, not miracles. The miracles only happened to further this salvation objective. He never advertised miracles. On the contrary, he admonished the recipients of the miracles to tell no one. He never collected tithe from anyone..His religion was pure and honest and cannot be demystified by this corona debacle.

Corona has not also demystified science. No cure, yes. But people are being managed with scientific knowledge and there has been some form of success. Preventive advice are based on science and are proving successful as the spread is being managed. Science may still overcome this one with vaccines and/or effective medications.

The biggest losers are the designer suit wearing, tithe seeking false miracle merchants that have been fleecing gullible Nigerians. But I'm not holding my breath..They would still claim their prayers was all it took for those that survived to have done so..and the scam would certainly continue on the other side of this pandemic..
