Supreme Court Dismisses Suit Against Oyetola’s Participation In Osun Election

The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking to restore the nullification of the participation of Osun’s ex-governor Gboyega Oyetola and his deputy Benedict Alabi in the July 16, 2022 governorship election.

A five-member panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice Centus Nweze on Thursday held that the appeal by the PDP lacked merit and directed the counsel to the PDP Kehinde Ogunwumiju to withdraw it.

The court held that the PDP could not, under the law,  question the process leading to the emergence of Oyetola and Alabi as candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election.

Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja had in a judgment on September 30, 2022, nullified the participation of Oyetola and Alabi in the governorship election on the grounds that their nomination forms were endorsed by an acting Chairman of APC, who was also a serving governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.

Justice Nwite’s judgment was set aside by the Court of Appeal, Abuja in a judgment in December last year, a decision the PDP appealed to the Supreme Court.

OurBusinessIsPr:
We Never Knew Apostle Suleman Was A Pastor, But In Oil And Gas”: Halima Abubakar's Friend

🧭Nollywood's Halima Abubakar has gone on to dish out more allegations against Apostle Johnson Suleman
The actress’ best friend Benita recently granted an interview with a social media blogger where she spilled some 'hot tea' about Halima’s relationship with the pastor Benita revealed that her friend had removed three pregnancies while in a relationship with Johnson, which sparked outrage among netizens.

Actress Halima Abubakar has continued to make more allegations against Apostle Johnson Suleman. The actress’s bestie, Benita, was on an Instagram live video with one of the social media bloggers, Temiola Sobola, where she disclosed what she knew about the relationship between the pastor and the actress.
Benita stated that she and Halima had no idea Suleman was a pastor because they assumed he worked in the oil and gas industry.

In Benita’s words: "Halima and I are best friends and I knew when she and Apostle Suleman were dating. We never knew he was a pastor, we thought he was into oil and gas. Halima aborted 3 pregnancies for him. After the third pregnancy, she started bleeding everyday. I used to follow her to her shows and events. We were always moving around with extra tampons to prevent her from getting stained. We don’t know if the bleeding was as a result of the ab*rtion, maybe her womb has been tampered with but when Suleman saw that her bleeding didn’t stop, he dumped her. I wanted to get a tattoo one day and she opted to follow me. That was the day she removed the tattoo of Suleman’s name she had on her hand, then I knew my friend has been heartbroken.”

Adeboye’s right-hand man, Prof Aboaba dies 47 days to his 90th birthday

Prof. Fola Aboaba, one of the closest persons to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has passed on.

He died in Lagos on Saturday, January 21 about 47 days to his 90th birthday after a brief illness. A report gleaned from Forevermissed informs that he was born on March 8 1933.

Professor Aboaba was in a circle of three friends very close to Pastor Adeboye. The others are Mr. Simeon Olakunrin (SAN) and Elder Felix Ohiwerei

Until his death, Prof. Aboaba officiated regularly at special Holy Ghost Nights of the RCCG. He played the role of introducing Pastor Adeboye to the podium to minister on such occasions. He also used to sing special songs to celebrate the birthday of Pastor Adeboye.

He was the founding Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Redeemer’s University.

A professor Emeritus of Agricultural Engineering Aboaba was a member Board of Trustees of the RCCG and also Chairman of the Technical Advisory Board and Lands Committee of the Church.

Prof Aboaba was also one of the founding fathers of the National Prayer Movement. The Gneral Secretary of the body, Mr Gbemiga Olakunle recalls Aboaba’s activities in the group.

He told Church Times that he supported the group and on many occasions hosted its meetings.

Already tributes are pouring in. One of the respondents who perhaps is Aboaba’s grandchild, Rereoluwa Akintola wrote on the wall of www.Forevermissed.com of his earliest memories of the late professor.

He wrote, “One of my earliest memories of Grandpa was when I told him I had seen him at the Alake’s palace when I went on a school excursion, but couldn’t get his attention.

“As I recounted that to him, he told little me that I should have dragged him by the shirt to catch his attention. Little me, drag a whole grandpa by the shirt?! I couldn’t fathom how such a distinguished man could be so down-to-earth”

Akintola also described him as a great family man recalling how he used to interact with his wife who reportedly died in 2018 at age 73.

He says of Prof Aboaba that, “Your laughter will ring loud, and light up heaven so much, everyone there will know there’s a new resident.”

Another respondent, Folorunso Orimoloye wrote, “Prof. Aboaba will be greatly missed. He loved children and gave them candy every Sunday. My children remain ever grateful to you for being part of their world. The sweets you gave made them embrace your beautiful virtues of respect and service to others.

“You had an impact on everyone, both near and far. Oh, daddy Aboaba!, the world would not get to listen to your beautiful voice on various occasions again. But I know you are singing for the host of heaven right now! We shall meet again in the presence of our Lord, where we will get to listen to your bass-enriched tunes. Sleep well, and sleep on our daddy of goodwill.”

When the tenets of most religions are juxtaposed with the laws of science, religion appears to be a joke and a caricature of logic...
The only limitation in the science of today is that it hasn't been able to probe the extra-sensory realities and the beyond, but it has done really well in explaining our immediate physical worlds.
Religion as it is today has failed in both the physical and the extraphysical.
It contains a lot of arbitrariness and no consistency of thought.
Professors of sciences in Nigeria are just bats who are neither land animals nor birds of the air. The teach the theories of science but at the same time, profess and promote the illogical and baseless doctrines that are contained in religion.

Lesgupnigeria:
If you are looking to make good money,go for oilpalm
Out of the 3 crops;cocoa, cashew and oilpalm
Oilpalm has the highest value added index
You can process palm fruits into palm oil, palm kernel oil, sell the palm kernel shaft, make broom, etc
Its more capital intensive to process cashew, and cocoa to their respective other value added products.
You either sell raw cashew or the raw cocoa with no value added to it to make money.

2 hectare of raw cashew nuts will give you 1 ton at first commercial harvesting which is about 300k -400k
2 hectare of cocoa will give you about 800kg which is about N450k
2 hectare of oilpalm will give 10 tonnes of processed palm oil at let's say N800 per kg
10 tons is 10,000kg
Which is about N8m
So 2 ha of oilpalm farm will give you N8m
Now compare 8m to 400k and 450k cashew and cocoa will give you
Go for oilpalm!!!
This your intriguing conclusions though.
Can you back them with data?

No .market for rubber grin who tell you that, there are buyers in Delta, Edo state, Ondo and Ogun state, rubber is so profitable that they even steal it.

Rubber is known as smelling money and has a long life span in its raw form

2hectares would get you about 1400 stands of trees with a good clone you are looking at around minimum 200kg per week at local price of very low #300per kg and high #500 per kg.

Note if you stimulate, you can get 200 to 300% yield per week.
It seems you know so much about this rubber and the prospects. First time I am hearing someone talking about this.
I will like to know more on this. Thanks

Iwas born and raised in Saudi Arabia as part of a devout Muslim family. Growing up, I considered myself a devoted follower of Islam, one who applied its teachings to every aspect of his life. I believed that Islam was the only true religion and that those who didn’t accept Allah as their God and Muhammad as his messenger were doomed to hell.

I had nothing but contempt for Christianity. I believed that Muslims were superior to all others, that all non-Muslims were infidels, and that Jesus was a prophet sent by Allah, not the divine Son of God. As far as I was concerned, he had never been crucified, never died on a cross, and never been resurrected. I believed he had ascended into heaven, but only to be saved from his persecutors before coming back at the end of times to restore Islam as the true religion of Allah. All in all, I grew up harboring intense hatred for Christians, Jews, and all who refused Islam.

By age 12, I had memorized half of the Qur’an, and my goal was to memorize all of it—all 114 chapters, all 6,236 verses. At age 15, I was prepared to die on behalf of Allah, like so many young people who were journeying to Afghanistan to fight the Soviet Union alongside Osama bin Laden. (He was a hero to us at that time.)

Were it not for my mother, who pleaded with me to stay behind, I would have joined this “holy war.” I believed that the rewards awaiting Muslims who died in the name of Allah were greater than any other a Muslim could receive. I was certain that by sacrificing my life in this manner, I would make it to paradise with all my sins forgiven.

Interacting with Christians
The more I grew up, however, the more notes of doubt began to creep in. As I gained a greater familiarity with the language of the Qur’an, I started seeing messages of hate within it, messages I could not understand and did not like at all. How, I wondered, could God hate his own creation simply because they do not accept him? On some level, I thought God should be above that kind of petty vindictiveness. But sharing such thoughts and doubts with others would have caused me lots of trouble and likely jeopardized my safety, as the penalty for blaspheming Allah and leaving Islam was death.

After finishing college in Saudi Arabia, I went to the United States to pursue my graduate education in engineering. But I had a dilemma. Islam teaches its followers not to befriend Christians, and in the Muslim world people truly believe that the United States is a Christian nation—in other words, that everyone born in America is born a Christian. (The category of born-again Christian, as a measure of genuine faith, was unfamiliar to me.)

In the summer of 1989, I arrived in the United States filled with fear and discomfort. In order to receive the best education, I knew it was imperative to attend an American university. But I was apprehensive because that meant having to interact with Christians.

After living in a dormitory for about a month, I began feeling the need to become more familiar with American culture and to sharpen my English language skills. Around that time, I heard of something called the International Friendship Program, which paired students like me with local volunteers who would provide help and hospitality. I signed up for the program, not knowing it was a Christian ministry.

Almost two weeks later, a young couple from the program contacted me and indicated that they were the family assigned to work with me. And for the next seven months, this family showed me love that far exceeded my expectations, love of the sort I had never experienced among my fellow Muslims.

In November, this family invited me to their home for Thanksgiving dinner. Only then did I realize this was a Christian family, because they asked if they could pray before the meal. I admit that my heart sank at this moment. I had never realized that Christians are actually filled with love and not hate, as my Muslim upbringing had led me to believe.

This family had never shared the gospel with me, but they had shown me what the gospel looks like. And on that day, I walked out of their home with great doubts about my faith and its teachings. I vowed that I would do research on Christianity, hoping to learn more about how Jesus could make such a profound difference in someone’s life, offering the kind of peace and joy I had never seen before.

Seeing the light
A few years later, after earning my master’s degree, I joined a local engineering firm. There I met another born-again Christian. I was impressed by his faith—his joy, his peace, and the light that seemed to shine forth from him. And when he invited me to his home for Christmas dinner, I noticed that his wife and kids had the same qualities. They were just like the family I had met in college.

At this point, I couldn’t hold back my curiosity any longer. I asked him why he was so different from those around him. He told me he was a born-again Christian, and he shared his testimony. Once again, I was gripped with the desire to know more about Jesus.

From that moment forward, God allowed me to go through numerous trials and adverse circumstances in my life, all of which increased my interest in Christianity. And in May 2001, going against everything my Muslim faith had taught me, I made my first visit to a Christian church. Over the course of the next six months, as the church studied the Gospel of John, I learned who Christ truly is.

In November 2001, without a shadow of a doubt, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. But it wasn’t easy at first. Within a matter of months, I lost my marriage due to unfaithfulness from my spouse, and I also lost my job. It felt like Satan was actively trying to destroy my faith. But these months taught me invaluable lessons about having a personal relationship with Jesus and learning to depend on him through all circumstances. During this time, God revealed his awesome glory to me in ways I could not deny or doubt.

Since then, my life has changed forever, and I am no longer the man I used to be. Today I lead a global ministry called CIRA International, which I founded by God’s grace in 2010. Our mission is to reach Muslims for Christ, to equip believers with practical tools for effectively sharing the gospel with Muslims, and to disciple new believers, especially those coming from Muslim backgrounds.

In addition, I teach classes and seminars on Islam at various churches, so that my brothers and sisters in Christ can learn how to better witness to their Muslim neighbors. And at my home church, I head up a newly established chapter of the International Friendship Program, the very ministry that planted the first seeds of gospel hope in my heart almost 16 years ago.

I came to know my beloved Jesus through simple acts of love. And I pray God will use my own simple acts of love to bring glory to himself by drawing others to a saving faith in him.

Jeweltz:
We have been conditioned to believe that sex will keep a man glue and obsessed about you. No.

I read a thread yesterday of a man dating a single lady who's denying him sex, but the man doesn't still leave her. See that angry.

Men are wired differently. A man will beg you for sex for many days and immediately you open your leg, he run away after hitting it and stop giving you attention that you deserve. Before you open your leg at all, make sure he's obsessed and his brain programmed to the thought of you alone. This is not difficult provided you don't show him how much you love him. Make him do the chasing. Men like that won't leave you.

There was a guy who was on my case. I like him. But I know Nigerian men. They'll use you once they see you're in love with them. I hoard my love and I told him no sex. No amount of convincing worked. And he was always on his toes making sure he doesn't deviate from showing me love and care.

But still, most of our men are liars and could be getting the sex somewhere else.
That's why a woman should close her leg until you know that he will marry you. Don't fall for their lies
I love when the deluded, depraved and those of the perdition quote from their satanic bible. Especially the bolded above from the book of Goliath Chapter 2 verse 15.
Ladies, you yield to this fornication advice at your own peril.

Sex is not granted UNTIL you are ceremonially married.

To avoid this, as an English Language Teacher you need to verify from the right source and stay updated to know the exact Literature texts that are recommended especially for JSS3 students.

Kindly note that Junior WAEC Literature texts are not the same nationwide apart from students preparing for NECO exam.
