FarmTech: . 1. Well fertilized plants 2. No water stress 3. Spray insecticides like abamectin, emamectib benzoate, Chlorfenapyr, Tihans (spirotetramat and flubendiamide), neen oil, acetamiprid etc 4. Spray insecticides under leaves ..
.. low battery . 4. Spray insecticides under leaves (with this mtd, u can use lower concentration and still get good result) 5. Overhead irrigation (sprinklers) have been known to reduce whitefly population because they knock off immature stages of whiteflies and other pests. They also knock off spidermites. to avoid foliar diseases, irrigate only in the morning or afternoon to allow time for moisture on leaves to dry out. Whiteflies dealt with my cuke and okra because I was using furrow irrigation and I did not fertilize well. 6. Planting coriander close to your crop will chase whiteflies away. I have not used this yet. There are many other ways but I believe these ones here will work fine. So far there is no whiteflies on my peppers. But they don't like peppers as they like cucumbers and okra. So I will confirm their effectiveness if I plant these 2 crops again. |

okoroemeka: I think the best safety measures we discovered in our farm Is spraying a good systemic insecticide weekly,Many of these stubborn and mischievous pest are so small to detect easily and they also hide under the leafs to compound the problem, you may be deceived in thinking that all is well until it is too late,,they are the no 1 carriers of diseases,,weekly application will make sure that all pest that is stupid enough to leave to whole green leaves in the bush to bite my pepper it will be it's last supper . Thanks. Those tiny pests can be bad. Some farmers won't even know what is happening. How far about that fertigation with liquid manure. |

I've been focusing on bacteria diseases forgetting thyre also insects almost invisible to the eye.. the only insects I've been seeing in my farm are leave cutting insects.. so I assumed all is fine.. no need to be feeding my plants with unnecessary chemicals.. not until now . Lol. U are like me oo. But mine was focusing on leafhoppers without knowing that thrips were doing their job under the leaves. But thank God I've cleared them. |

But let such women know that if they fail in their role as mothers, they will regret their 2morrow. Both in this world and b4 God's judgement seat. Working is good. But not the type that will sap most of their time. I know one family where such a thing happened and right now, their daughters are on the way to prostitution. |

But the work shud not deprive them of their basic duty as mothers. Else, the children and marriage will suffer. Any lady that will not agree to this during courtship is not worth marrying. |

She takes care of her kids yes or no?...
You're in some fantasy land.. is there any differences?.. the o ly difference between a traditional american woman and a nigerian one is the american woman knows her role well and can't be convinced by a movement called feminists that breeds old ugly 40+ year old women who've been ran over by alot of men and have like 500 body counts fo their names... protesting for equality they can't explain Good one. |

zexy2030: hey babe, didn't ur mum teach you? that a woman's responsibility is to take care of the man, the kid and the home. And the man is expected to provide for his family? But if u r part of the provider, why won't he assist in the kitchen, some men recognise this and join the wife in the home chores. . But I have always wonder: why shud a man not provide for his family? Why expect ur wife to help u? Men shud not go into marriage when they have not secure themselves financially. In some families, man and wife will abandon their children in the name of finding food. There is a reason why God make man the provider of the family. If we, in the name of modernity, change what God have said, their would be serious consequences. |

okoroemeka: you also have to make sure of what you spray on a fruit that is harvested and eaten raw every 4 days, Even before you are aware of them the whole farm is totally infected, there's a reason a bag can go as high as #12-14,000k a bag, during dry season,70-80% of eggplant farms are shut down by that nuisance,if a farmer is getting 10 bags every 4 days@₦5k per bag do you think he fold his hands and watch such money go away,he will try everything under the sun to chase the pest away, but unfortunately nature is the one factor that eradicates the pest 100% . I'll look into it. |

okoroemeka: my brother when rain reduces or stops from October/November there is no type of pesticide that can rid an eggplant farm from fruitborer (oti) invasions, there mode of operations is simple they will just land on a developing fruit bore a tiny hole inside and lay egg and then fly off, all your crops will be healthy greenish and full of fruit, but if you harvest 70% of the fruits will have maggot like larvae inside,we have tried every thing possible believe me,but rainfall is the only check for those pestz. . I'll try it and see what happens. Using insecticides like chlorfenapyr, emamectin benzoate and imidacloprid may work. Which insecticides did u guys tried? |

okoroemeka: like the farm above will start production by April month end and it will continue till rainy season will stop by October end, then inevitably due to no more rain fall fruit borer attacks will increase in such a way that it will be impractical to spray insecticides, best thing is to give up and step aside and prepare for next season, but there some farmers that have ways to keep on harvesting during the dry season, how they manage to keep insects at Bay is a mystery. Thanks. I strongly believe that all stubborn pests and diseases can be effectively controlled by spraying under the leaves. |

codeQue: Thanks for the tip, will do that. I planted a test quarter plot, which are 6 months older than the main project. The leaves below automatically shed off, i was hoping same will apply to these. But ill prune the leaves as recommended. Thanks. . With time, lower leaves shade off but pruning them off is gud, especially if there is high humidity or if plant size restrict free air circulation. It can also save u some pesticides. . Another thing I noticed about pepper is this: those branches that are below the main Y-branch are weak. If u don't prune them off they will likely break when heavy with fruits, when there is strong wind or when u carelessly brush pass them. |
