I pity for people working for the Military and para Military in this country . When people like Asari Dokubo is given free pass to arm his group your life is at stake. The Government arms you to defend the country then goes back and give free pass to non state actors to import their own ammunition, you are on never ending war that will definitely consume your life |

Family › Re: Who Are The Real Middle Class In Nigeria? by Ferdinandu(m): 10:52am On Jul 16, 2023 |
Nice2023: The real middle class in Nigeria are individuals and families who have a moderate income level, typically earning between N500,000 to N10,000,000 ($1,200 to $24,000) per year. They often hold white-collar jobs in sectors such as banking, finance, education, healthcare, and technology. The middle class in Nigeria is characterized by their ability to afford a decent standard of living, including owning their own homes, sending their children to good schools, having access to healthcare services, and possessing some discretionary income for leisure activities and savings. They typically reside in urban areas, particularly in the major cities like Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt. The middle class in Nigeria is considered the backbone of the economy and plays a vital role in consumer spending and economic growth. Kai which one be 500k per year middle class. Even in the cheapest cities in Nigeria 42,000 per month can't fall in middle class.Falling in middle class depends on the city you are living. The bottom line of middle class in Nigeria should be Maybe 1.2m in the cheapest cities to at least 3 million per year in places like Abuja. Truthfully speaking middle class is an endangered specie in this country, it is almost non existent, like my brother up there said we only have the top class, about to be poor and the poor |

OluwaLina1: Happy sunday nairalanders. I moved to a new area(Student area) and decided to attend a nearby church.
These are what I noticed.
-- I was the only one that used scarf.Even the choristers and the female ministers didn't use scarf.
--Almost all the female members are putting on trousers, ladies that put on gowns/skirt are not up to 20%. I was even surprised that the two female ministers and the female choristers also put on trouser to climb the church alter.
--During prayer intersection,I noticed everybody were praying in tongues and it seems am the only person not filled with the holy spirit to speak in tongues. Even when we were asked to pray on our offering, people still prayed in tongues.
And it just seems I'm odd among them or is it that am not modernized? Religion is officially a social gathering. Understand that and be at peace then decide whether to join any or not |

Or when you attend your village meeting, go and seat on the chair reserved for your village head, if you don't know what protocol is all about. Seriously there shouldn't be such protocols in churches and mosques except for the pastors and Imams leading the prayer. Well religion is just a form of hustling in this country |

Flets: Before you all get carried away with the media propaganda associated with this FG, here are the actions to date and how it affects you (you might not feel the impact immediately but its gonna sting soon)
1. Fuel subsidy is removed and you will buy fuel for 500 to 900naira per liter (depending on the exchange rate). The savings will be looted like that of kerosene and diesel. There will be no commensurate succor/ palliative for your suffering. Instead of going after the subsidy thieves and stopping the smuggling across boarders, they have transferred the responsibility to the helpless Nigerian people.
2. Naira has been devalued (though they call it floating). The FG has handed over the exchange to the market forces where speculators and banks are king. Naira continues to fall in the I/E and parallel market. Anybody who tells you Naira will appreciate is a joker, for a corrupt country like ours, the banks and speculators are the new cabal and will drive the rates how they deem fit. Don’t believe…. Just observe. What most don’t get now is that CBN now has no obligation to provide FX at a particular rate to the market, a such the new FG players can access FX from CBN without noise.
https://www.nairaland.com/7730320/goldman-sachs-naira-devaluation-not#123835682
3. FG funding for tertiary education has been removed. Students will pay upwards of 400K tuition fee starting next session. A lot of students will drop out and cannot complete their education anymore. The so-called student loan will be almost impossible for an average student without connection to access. Guess what happens to the savings from this funding…. To b looted by the same people who have impoverished the nation.
4. All the FG has done so far is abandon almost all responsibilities it has over the people through the bills being signed since May 29. All Tinubu has done is to make available funds to be shared by him and his goons at the expense of the people. Not a single bill or action aimed at ameliorating the suffering of the already downcast Nigerian people rather adding to the pain in the guise of elitist policies
5. Guess what…. Same old political criminals are back in power, Gbaja, Akume, Asari Dokubo etc and you expect any real change apart from increased suffering?. How do you expect Tinubu to pay back the these same criminals who supported him into power?
Nigerians…. Suffer no dey tire una? Abeg tell the barman closest to you to give you your brand, I'm coming to pay for us to discuss this your most intelligent analysis further |
